Despite the mixed reviews online, Manahatta Bottomless Brunch in York was fabulous. Shout out to Tilly, our server, who kept us topped up! We arrived 15 minutes before and grabbed a drink in the bar before being taken up. The drinks and fizz kept coming. All food that was preordered was present and correct and was lovely! The toilets were a bit of a trek and were not that clean despite it only being 4pm. But bar that we had a great time. We've done a fair few brunches across the UK and this is our best one yet! Thank you.

We were served by Tilly whose bubbly and attentive personality shine threw. She made our night and was absolutely fantastic and made sure we were well topped up for what was an amazing Bottomless Party and the food was just as amazing - thank you the geordie girls

I pre ordered food as told had to due to size of group. The food for the members of group who did not pre book came quickly whilst the rest had to wait at least 45 mins. No apology and staff appeared clueless. In fact one didn't seem to grasp a simple request of asking for some mayonnaise.

Came for a bottomless brunch for my sisters hen do and the server Tilly was absolutely fantastic! So friendly and efficient, she made sure our glasses were always filled, took photos of us and was just the loveliest person! Made our afternoon extra special. Thank you :)

It was very empty to start with but the music pumped up and Kate was the best! She made the night. She was on it when it came to the drink and the chats and service she helped us as we were new to the area x

The place was packed with energy. Great crowd, great drinks, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you think you’re in for a proper night out. But then the music started and it all went downhill. The DJ was all over the place. One second it was deep house, then suddenly it jumped to Elvis, then back to something that sounded like a rejected track from a high school prom. There was no flow, no build up, just chaos. It felt like the DJ was playing whatever popped into his head with zero awareness of the room. The only thing consistent was how bad the transitions were. Shame really, because the rest of the place had real potential.

Booked Manahatta for bottomless for 11 people. When we arrived we had been spilt across 2 tables, not a great start as our party was separated, would have appreciated being told this in advance and we may have cancelled as it was a birthday celebration and we wanted to be together. The team serving were lovely but service at the bar and the backlog of orders meant it was over 30 minutes before we received a drink, there was prosecco on the table but still not acceptable. Most of the food came out cold and had to be sent back, the steak was freezing as were the chips and burgers. The manager apologised and made sure we got fresh warm food and our drinks started arriving quicker but it spoilt the night. Shame as it's a great venue with good music and atmosphere. I think maybe taking too many bottomless orders let the service down. Not expecting gold star but to pay almost £500 for 11 people I expected better and I certainly wouldn't return. All of the party were disappointed.

Got in for £5 , got kicked out literally 10 minutes later for “vaping”. I don’t even smoke. This club is full of students and the Dj is really bad. Can have a good time as long as you come with other people and study at uni of York.

Great spot. Highly recommended. Was at a pub event here with a bunch of other publicans/innkeepers from all over the UK. Friendly staff, fine food and extensive choice of drinks. If lucky enough to be in York, a must visit!

We want to celebrate an anniversary with some friends, The website looks trendy and cocktails look amazing BUT don't be fooled!! The staff were friendly on arrival, showed us to our booth upstairs, no draft beer in the upstairs bar, was told by the barman that if I wanted a draft beer I would need to go downstairs to get it myself .. not great!! Ordered a G&T for my wife and did not get asked if we wanted a premium tonic or draft tonic, just got draft .. again not great!! Music was LOUD .. like VERY loud, we could hardly hear each other and talking almost impossible .. to make it worse a member of staff then turned it up even loader?? We lasted 20min .. NOT a high end Cocktail bar at all .. would not go back!!

We had a bottomless brunch for one of my friend’s birthday and I just wanted to write this review to say how amazing Khadijah was!! She made sure we was okay when we was there made sure we got all of are drinks in time and our food. Thank you so much to Khadijah you are amazing!! The best server ever!!!!!!!! And the food was good too. The atmosphere was great.

Consistenly Good - food, drinks, staff and atmosphere

Bottomless brunch for a work Xmas do. The place was understaffed, drinks options were small and obviously watered down, the food took ages to come (again, lack of options) and was lukewarm. The tables were stacked with used glasses and plates and I think it cost about £40 per head. The toilets were also very disgusting. The DJ was good in the main area though.

Went there at a weekend. A lot of the food was out and toilets weren't great.

Had bottomless brunch here with the work crew yesterday, service was excellent, regularly asking what drinks we would like, bottles of Prosecco on the tables, Santa hats provided, the only negative was the food order. Placed orders in advance from the menu they sent only to be told that certain items weren’t available within the day or at the brunch. Overall good experience for the price.

Turned up for my friends hen do for bottomless and had taken food off so couldn’t have our brunch. Felt sorry for the staff dealing with us as the manager just walked off. They’d also given our table away so initially there was no where for us to sit to even have a drink. We eventually got a table and waited over an hour for one drink. The girl who brought our drinks over was lovely as was the girl on the desk but the management was absolutely shocking. I have no idea why food wasn’t available or why they didn’t call beforehand. Things happen but how the managers dealt with us was terrible. It was also absolutely roasting inside. We tried a few other places but with there being so many of us, everywhere was full. Terrible.

Very poor service even though there where plenty staff members floating about. Waited adges for drinks. Some food was returned as it wasn't hot. Manager was a lovely. He did take some money off our bill for all the inconvenience we had. Thankyou.

We had a man server us for the majority of our bottomless brunch and a woman towards the end and they both was so so so lovely. They keep on top of your drinks and make sure everything is okay. I came here to visit my friend and we had the best time ever 100% will be back soon. We wish we could shout them out their names because they looked after us so well. One of the best bottomless brunches we have been too couldn’t recommend more.

18 of us came for bottomless brunch and the service was faultless, we were never waiting for drinks orders to be taken. The food was also tasty and they finished with a round of shots which was a nice touch. Afterwards we were able to continue the party downstairs 🥳

Attended for a bottomless for a friends Hen do. This was the best bottomless I have ever experienced. The drinks and food are good but the service is exceptional. All the servers were friendly, polite and couldn’t do more for you. The atmosphere was great. I would defiantly come back and will be recommending to anyone wanting to find a good place for a bottomless brunch.

Walked down the street and tried to go in and intentionally intimidated by 5 bouncers with my younger sister and my mum who had experience in the field We were threatened on public property and marched down the street by the bounces. Do not go, one of the most disrespectful places in York !!

Very nice venue, great vibes and very nice cocktails (don't bother with mocktails though). However the service is VERY slow and chaotic! I came in with a group of friends for a birthday party. We were told someone would come to take out orders as we'd booked a booth. Noone came so we called a waitress, who told us they weren't doing table service (although she did for the booth next to us). It took ages to get our drinks. As long are you're not in a rush, you'll have a good time.

Food was ok bagel was dry. Drinks were basically just Ice my first drink I drank in 2 gulps. The waiter didn’t crack a smile once. Drinks took about 15/20 minutes for pretty basic drinks. For all the bottomless I’ve been too in various cities this by far is the bottom of the list. Won’t be sending any emails as it’s clear from other reviews it’s the same for majority of hen parties. Lots of ICE, long wait times and rude staff @ £45. So if you are going for this reason don’t bother, if it’s two of you it’s fine. So it seems intentional

We booked a hen party of 16 for bottomless brunch. We waited 40 minutes before the first bottle of prosecco arrived, and an hour before the first cocktail arrived which we ordered within 10 minutes of arriving. Half of the food (which had been preordered) arrived in 50 minutes after we arrived, half of the items were wrong. The rest of the food arrived 20 minutes later. We were given an extra hour of bottomless drinks and given a round of shots on the house as an apology. However the bottomless drink package I don't think is as good as other places. You can only choose from 6 main meals which consist of burgers, chicken and chips, or steak and chips. And there are very limited cocktail options which aren't very nice. For £45 each I was expecting more.

Some serious training needed on allergens. We came last night for bottomless party. The organisation was terrible to begin with. The system wouldn’t let me remove the pre orders of incorrect items so in April I sent over a list of the 13 pre orders - I got a reply and was told the balance which I paid for. The day before I got an email reminder to say the booking was for 11 people. I emailed to say this wasn’t correct and showed order and confirmation. Didn’t receive a reply. On arrival they were told we only had a booking for 11 people. I showed all the emails and they took a photo. The staff were very moody and I felt like we were an inconvenience. When the order came there were STILL despite the photo being taken of the order food missing. I chased twice and was told the food was on it’s way. I didn’t receive my food for about 25 minutes after everyone else. The main issue was there was a huge mistake made with our GF party member. She was served a vegetarian caesar salad with croutons and when questions the staff were arguing that the gluten free option was the veg option despite us ordering chicken. This is dangerous and our friend who is a head chef herself asked the speak to the kitchen. They then came back to say they couldn’t produce a ceaser salad without the croutons which made no sense and that there wasn’t a GF option available. After some arguing back and forth a chicken salad was given with no croutons. I’m actually shocked to see other reviews recently with a similar problem this has to be addressed! We then received a bill at the end with an additional £104 which I refused to pay because it should have been prepaid as per the invoices I’d received. Very strange staff and management and a disappointment compared to other Manahattas.

We were a hen party and booked the bottomless brunch and it didn't disappoint. The service, food and drinks were excellent! A special shout out to Xander our server! He did everything to accommodate us and regularly came to take our drinks orders. We booked in at 6 o'clock. Perfect way to start the evening. The food was delicious, drinks were flowing, music vibes were great. Well done Manahatta!

IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES, DO NOT GO HERE! Myself and five friends attended a Bottomless brunch. I ordered a gluten free beef melt, mine was the first to arrive with two sticks in and the waitress said gluten free. I then asked is this definitely gluten free to which she told me yes. I started to eat the sandwich and looked around to realise the others who had the beef melt had what looked like exactly the same bread. I asked a waiter if it was definitely gluten free, he took it to the kitchen, brought it back and confirmed it was safe to eat. A few minutes later he brought out a packet of gluten free bread, shoved it in my face and said look. I therefore continued to eat the sandwich. He then came back and said the kitchen are recalling your sandwich, we do not know if it’s gluten free or not. I waited 15 minutes, and then had to go and find the waiter to find out what was happening. To which he responded, we aren’t sure if it was gluten free so we are just making you another one. This is absolutely inexcusable, I have coeliac disease, which was stated on the booking and I was given bread that has triggered an automimmune reaction and meant I had to go straight home after the food due to symptoms such as sickness and diarahoea. Cameron the manager did offer me the rest of my meal for free, but I had already paid £15 deposit, so I paid £15 for food that’s made me extremely unwell. I do not think you should offer gluten free food if kitchen staff are not trained properly in something so serious. Had this been a nut allergy, I could be dead. I have also contacted coeliac Uk about the matter!

Went for a bottomless brunch for my daughter in laws hen do. Service was awful, we waited hours for our food and 6 members of the party didn’t get their food at all!!! No explanation as to why. Manager apologised moved us to another table and promised some shots and bowls of chips only to compensate, still didn’t arrive so we left in disgust!! Do not book this venue!

I visited last Saturday on a hen party and had a brilliant time. There were approx 30 of us, the staff were awesome. They worked so hard to make sure everything ran smoothly. I had never done a bottomless brunch before and had low expectations but was proved wrong. The food was lovely, the drinks plentiful and the atmosphere brilliant. I'll definitely be back

I do usually like this place they have nice cocktails and good music and it’s a nice bar but I went in last night to be served by the most fed up and rude member of staff quite a young girl who charged my twice for my drink. She said the first time it didn’t go through I believed she wouldn’t lie about it so paid and after checking my online banking I’ve been charged twice. The floor was soo sticky and the seating booths were closed but the security had no reason for them being closed if it’s been booked out then just say that or have signs to say reserved. The bar woman spilt most of my drink on the counter when making my cocktail and way too much ice it was ridiculous so disappointed because I actually really like this place but it’s put me off going which is a shame

Booked bottomless for daughters 18th party of 13. Staff rude. Seated at 3.45. I bought drinks as first bottomless drink came at 4pm. Food took forever and when arrived meals for guests with coeliac allergen had croutons on.

Bottomless brunch 7.30.avoid! Arrived 10 mins early stood waiting in doorway with all other people who booked 7.30 for 15 mins no sign of any staff eventually a staff member arrived and said we could go up but the tables were not ready or set and simply pointed us in the direction. This was just the start of the disappointing experience. By 7.50.we received out first drink.... by 8.20 I had to find a staff member and request that something was.done as we were almost 1 hour in to our supposedly bottomless brunch and only had one drink. We were provided with room temperature prosecco... which was far to warm to drink. The staff members xander and ella were very helpful and truly worked their hardest however there was too many people seated in one area for one staff member to attend to for such a brunch. The drinks were also not great we have had many brunches in various venues and I have to say this was the worst the drinks were bland and very weak in comparison to others. The only saving point of the whole time was the meal the steak was very nice. Overall I would say If your wanting good food yes do try however if your considering the brunch I would not reccomend. I would like to thank ella and xander for their hard work and trying to make this a good evening however the issues were out of their control.

Food was OK, cocktails ok but not much choice as other bottomless brunch I've been to. The girl Georgia who served us was brilliant. Massive let down for this place is its not disability friendly, especially for wheelchair users as no access. One of our friends has cerabal palsey and she had to walk up 4 flights of stairs as tables on the 1st floor only had high chairs which she couldn't get onto so had to go up another flight. I emailed her special requirements over a week before our booking date but obviously it wasn't looked at as I got no reply. The toilets are also in the basement, down even more stairs!

we had the steak frites as our meal and wow. It was full of flavour. I really enjoyed our meal. This venue is definitely more of a night out venue though as mid meal the music became very loud. great service from the bar staff. 2 for 1 cocktails is a bonus.

Good value for money pub/cafe grub with a reasonable menu selection. Staff were friendly and helpful and certain days of the week they have 40% and 50% off good prices.

We had my daughters 18th Bottomless Party at Manahatta York it was BRILLIANT! The service we received from Pranav & Harrison was first class!!! These two guys made our bottomless the best ever…Pranav was fantastic and our entire party felt he made the evening extra special! The food was delicious & the cocktails & fizz were awesome! I don’t think you could get a better bottomless anywhere else! Thank you Manahatta & a big thanks to Pranav & Harrison!

Brunch menu wasn't worth it, was not disabled friendly had difficulty doing stairs, was told by staff that they did have a toilet by the kitchen but only staff used it,

Booked a table for 13:00 after we arrived we were told we can’t have food as we are a “walk in” when we booked! Then we were told we have a table till 16:00 only be be told by the MOST RUDEST man if you can call someone so rude that we have to leave NOW (14:51) horrid experience for first time in YORK. Would not recommended this place, staff should have some sort of training as their way of speaking to people is appealing !! Vile man and horrid place.

Called in around lunchtime for a few cocktails. 2-4-1 offer which was great. Started getting busy as we were leaving, seems to be popular

We visited recently and weren’t disappointed. The atmosphere was nice, the food was really tasty and the service was excellent (thank you Pranav) We’re in our 50’s and we’re probably 25-30 yrs older than everyone else but we were made to feel very welcome and had a great evening.

Lively atmosphere. Two for 1 on the cocktails all day - can’t complain. We managed to find seating but got quite lucky. Unable to book tables for two which is a shame cause we would’ve stayed longer.

Work Christmas do. Too busy to use drinks vouchers, took far too long for drinks to arrive when ordered then came back with no clue who ordered what. Also said taps were off when they were not so they only had to deal with bottles. Won’t be going back.

Good atmosphere for the younger generation. Had our staff Xmas meal here. Not ideal trying to have a meal whilst blaring music and young uns crashing into tables smashing empty glasses that were stacked high onto tables. Food was okish. The cocktails were bogof but expensive and watered down. The young lad on the bar took so long making a cocktail with his Tom Cruise moves, it took forever to get served. We had booked a table to eat then got asked to move as someone had booked the table for drinks. We didn't move.. Toilets were a dive .

Just a heads up to everyone, good bar however the prices please BE AWARE if you’re getting a Vodka and Red Bull they charge £18 which is my opinion is unacceptable. Double check as we where stung twice now with this but the consistency doesn't follow with these guys as my friend went to bar after and got drinks the same round and was £12 difference not sure what’s happening Shane as good bar but seems to be grabbing prices from nowhere.

Disappointing experience at this venue. Denied entry despite presenting multiple valid IDs, including a passport with multiple airport stamps. Door staff claimed authenticity issues due to a legitimate passport feature. Contacted venue with no resolution for nearly 20 days. Disappointed with the lack of response. Hoping for prompt action on this matter. After reading other reviews regarding door staff I would never go back.
