We had a man server us for the majority of our bottomless brunch and a woman towards the end and they both was so so so lovely. They keep on top of your drinks and make sure everything is okay. I came here to visit my friend and we had the best time ever 100% will be back soon. We wish we could shout them out their names because they looked after us so well. One of the best bottomless brunches we have been too couldn’t recommend more.

18 of us came for bottomless brunch and the service was faultless, we were never waiting for drinks orders to be taken. The food was also tasty and they finished with a round of shots which was a nice touch. Afterwards we were able to continue the party downstairs 🥳

Attended for a bottomless for a friends Hen do. This was the best bottomless I have ever experienced. The drinks and food are good but the service is exceptional. All the servers were friendly, polite and couldn’t do more for you. The atmosphere was great. I would defiantly come back and will be recommending to anyone wanting to find a good place for a bottomless brunch.

Walked down the street and tried to go in and intentionally intimidated by 5 bouncers with my younger sister and my mum who had experience in the field We were threatened on public property and marched down the street by the bounces. Do not go, one of the most disrespectful places in York !!

Very nice venue, great vibes and very nice cocktails (don't bother with mocktails though). However the service is VERY slow and chaotic! I came in with a group of friends for a birthday party. We were told someone would come to take out orders as we'd booked a booth. Noone came so we called a waitress, who told us they weren't doing table service (although she did for the booth next to us). It took ages to get our drinks. As long are you're not in a rush, you'll have a good time.

Food was ok bagel was dry. Drinks were basically just Ice my first drink I drank in 2 gulps. The waiter didn’t crack a smile once. Drinks took about 15/20 minutes for pretty basic drinks. For all the bottomless I’ve been too in various cities this by far is the bottom of the list. Won’t be sending any emails as it’s clear from other reviews it’s the same for majority of hen parties. Lots of ICE, long wait times and rude staff @ £45. So if you are going for this reason don’t bother, if it’s two of you it’s fine. So it seems intentional

We booked a hen party of 16 for bottomless brunch. We waited 40 minutes before the first bottle of prosecco arrived, and an hour before the first cocktail arrived which we ordered within 10 minutes of arriving. Half of the food (which had been preordered) arrived in 50 minutes after we arrived, half of the items were wrong. The rest of the food arrived 20 minutes later. We were given an extra hour of bottomless drinks and given a round of shots on the house as an apology. However the bottomless drink package I don't think is as good as other places. You can only choose from 6 main meals which consist of burgers, chicken and chips, or steak and chips. And there are very limited cocktail options which aren't very nice. For £45 each I was expecting more.

We were a hen party and booked the bottomless brunch and it didn't disappoint. The service, food and drinks were excellent! A special shout out to Xander our server! He did everything to accommodate us and regularly came to take our drinks orders. We booked in at 6 o'clock. Perfect way to start the evening. The food was delicious, drinks were flowing, music vibes were great. Well done Manahatta!

Some serious training needed on allergens. We came last night for bottomless party. The organisation was terrible to begin with. The system wouldn’t let me remove the pre orders of incorrect items so in April I sent over a list of the 13 pre orders - I got a reply and was told the balance which I paid for. The day before I got an email reminder to say the booking was for 11 people. I emailed to say this wasn’t correct and showed order and confirmation. Didn’t receive a reply. On arrival they were told we only had a booking for 11 people. I showed all the emails and they took a photo. The staff were very moody and I felt like we were an inconvenience. When the order came there were STILL despite the photo being taken of the order food missing. I chased twice and was told the food was on it’s way. I didn’t receive my food for about 25 minutes after everyone else. The main issue was there was a huge mistake made with our GF party member. She was served a vegetarian caesar salad with croutons and when questions the staff were arguing that the gluten free option was the veg option despite us ordering chicken. This is dangerous and our friend who is a head chef herself asked the speak to the kitchen. They then came back to say they couldn’t produce a ceaser salad without the croutons which made no sense and that there wasn’t a GF option available. After some arguing back and forth a chicken salad was given with no croutons. I’m actually shocked to see other reviews recently with a similar problem this has to be addressed! We then received a bill at the end with an additional £104 which I refused to pay because it should have been prepaid as per the invoices I’d received. Very strange staff and management and a disappointment compared to other Manahattas.

IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES, DO NOT GO HERE! Myself and five friends attended a Bottomless brunch. I ordered a gluten free beef melt, mine was the first to arrive with two sticks in and the waitress said gluten free. I then asked is this definitely gluten free to which she told me yes. I started to eat the sandwich and looked around to realise the others who had the beef melt had what looked like exactly the same bread. I asked a waiter if it was definitely gluten free, he took it to the kitchen, brought it back and confirmed it was safe to eat. A few minutes later he brought out a packet of gluten free bread, shoved it in my face and said look. I therefore continued to eat the sandwich. He then came back and said the kitchen are recalling your sandwich, we do not know if it’s gluten free or not. I waited 15 minutes, and then had to go and find the waiter to find out what was happening. To which he responded, we aren’t sure if it was gluten free so we are just making you another one. This is absolutely inexcusable, I have coeliac disease, which was stated on the booking and I was given bread that has triggered an automimmune reaction and meant I had to go straight home after the food due to symptoms such as sickness and diarahoea. Cameron the manager did offer me the rest of my meal for free, but I had already paid £15 deposit, so I paid £15 for food that’s made me extremely unwell. I do not think you should offer gluten free food if kitchen staff are not trained properly in something so serious. Had this been a nut allergy, I could be dead. I have also contacted coeliac Uk about the matter!

Went for a bottomless brunch for my daughter in laws hen do. Service was awful, we waited hours for our food and 6 members of the party didn’t get their food at all!!! No explanation as to why. Manager apologised moved us to another table and promised some shots and bowls of chips only to compensate, still didn’t arrive so we left in disgust!! Do not book this venue!

I visited last Saturday on a hen party and had a brilliant time. There were approx 30 of us, the staff were awesome. They worked so hard to make sure everything ran smoothly. I had never done a bottomless brunch before and had low expectations but was proved wrong. The food was lovely, the drinks plentiful and the atmosphere brilliant. I'll definitely be back

I do usually like this place they have nice cocktails and good music and it’s a nice bar but I went in last night to be served by the most fed up and rude member of staff quite a young girl who charged my twice for my drink. She said the first time it didn’t go through I believed she wouldn’t lie about it so paid and after checking my online banking I’ve been charged twice. The floor was soo sticky and the seating booths were closed but the security had no reason for them being closed if it’s been booked out then just say that or have signs to say reserved. The bar woman spilt most of my drink on the counter when making my cocktail and way too much ice it was ridiculous so disappointed because I actually really like this place but it’s put me off going which is a shame

Booked bottomless for daughters 18th party of 13. Staff rude. Seated at 3.45. I bought drinks as first bottomless drink came at 4pm. Food took forever and when arrived meals for guests with coeliac allergen had croutons on.

Bottomless brunch 7.30.avoid! Arrived 10 mins early stood waiting in doorway with all other people who booked 7.30 for 15 mins no sign of any staff eventually a staff member arrived and said we could go up but the tables were not ready or set and simply pointed us in the direction. This was just the start of the disappointing experience. By 7.50.we received out first drink.... by 8.20 I had to find a staff member and request that something was.done as we were almost 1 hour in to our supposedly bottomless brunch and only had one drink. We were provided with room temperature prosecco... which was far to warm to drink. The staff members xander and ella were very helpful and truly worked their hardest however there was too many people seated in one area for one staff member to attend to for such a brunch. The drinks were also not great we have had many brunches in various venues and I have to say this was the worst the drinks were bland and very weak in comparison to others. The only saving point of the whole time was the meal the steak was very nice. Overall I would say If your wanting good food yes do try however if your considering the brunch I would not reccomend. I would like to thank ella and xander for their hard work and trying to make this a good evening however the issues were out of their control.

Food was OK, cocktails ok but not much choice as other bottomless brunch I've been to. The girl Georgia who served us was brilliant. Massive let down for this place is its not disability friendly, especially for wheelchair users as no access. One of our friends has cerabal palsey and she had to walk up 4 flights of stairs as tables on the 1st floor only had high chairs which she couldn't get onto so had to go up another flight. I emailed her special requirements over a week before our booking date but obviously it wasn't looked at as I got no reply. The toilets are also in the basement, down even more stairs!

we had the steak frites as our meal and wow. It was full of flavour. I really enjoyed our meal. This venue is definitely more of a night out venue though as mid meal the music became very loud. great service from the bar staff. 2 for 1 cocktails is a bonus.

Good value for money pub/cafe grub with a reasonable menu selection. Staff were friendly and helpful and certain days of the week they have 40% and 50% off good prices.

The food was ok, however the service was absolutely incredible. Jenna kept the drinks coming throughout the 2 hours and was so helpful. Highly recommend as a place for bottomless brunch.

We had my daughters 18th Bottomless Party at Manahatta York it was BRILLIANT! The service we received from Pranav & Harrison was first class!!! These two guys made our bottomless the best ever…Pranav was fantastic and our entire party felt he made the evening extra special! The food was delicious & the cocktails & fizz were awesome! I don’t think you could get a better bottomless anywhere else! Thank you Manahatta & a big thanks to Pranav & Harrison!

Brunch menu wasn't worth it, was not disabled friendly had difficulty doing stairs, was told by staff that they did have a toilet by the kitchen but only staff used it,

Booked a table for 13:00 after we arrived we were told we can’t have food as we are a “walk in” when we booked! Then we were told we have a table till 16:00 only be be told by the MOST RUDEST man if you can call someone so rude that we have to leave NOW (14:51) horrid experience for first time in YORK. Would not recommended this place, staff should have some sort of training as their way of speaking to people is appealing !! Vile man and horrid place.

Called in around lunchtime for a few cocktails. 2-4-1 offer which was great. Started getting busy as we were leaving, seems to be popular

We visited recently and weren’t disappointed. The atmosphere was nice, the food was really tasty and the service was excellent (thank you Pranav) We’re in our 50’s and we’re probably 25-30 yrs older than everyone else but we were made to feel very welcome and had a great evening.

Lively atmosphere. Two for 1 on the cocktails all day - can’t complain. We managed to find seating but got quite lucky. Unable to book tables for two which is a shame cause we would’ve stayed longer.

Work Christmas do. Too busy to use drinks vouchers, took far too long for drinks to arrive when ordered then came back with no clue who ordered what. Also said taps were off when they were not so they only had to deal with bottles. Won’t be going back.

Good atmosphere for the younger generation. Had our staff Xmas meal here. Not ideal trying to have a meal whilst blaring music and young uns crashing into tables smashing empty glasses that were stacked high onto tables. Food was okish. The cocktails were bogof but expensive and watered down. The young lad on the bar took so long making a cocktail with his Tom Cruise moves, it took forever to get served. We had booked a table to eat then got asked to move as someone had booked the table for drinks. We didn't move.. Toilets were a dive .

Just a heads up to everyone, good bar however the prices please BE AWARE if you’re getting a Vodka and Red Bull they charge £18 which is my opinion is unacceptable. Double check as we where stung twice now with this but the consistency doesn't follow with these guys as my friend went to bar after and got drinks the same round and was £12 difference not sure what’s happening Shane as good bar but seems to be grabbing prices from nowhere.

Disappointing experience at this venue. Denied entry despite presenting multiple valid IDs, including a passport with multiple airport stamps. Door staff claimed authenticity issues due to a legitimate passport feature. Contacted venue with no resolution for nearly 20 days. Disappointed with the lack of response. Hoping for prompt action on this matter. After reading other reviews regarding door staff I would never go back.

I haven't tried the food, but everything else was great. Had a great time

Bottomless brunch - Don't bother. We had to wait for our table even though we had booked. Drinks were slow, and I waited 20 mins for one drink. I had 3 cocktails in 2 hours! Not exactly Bottomless. The whole group had to wait way too long for drinks, even a simple prosecco! The food was OK. My burger was really not the best. Soggy onion ring. It's expensive for what it is. As a bar generally...Nice atmosphere, nice bar. Would not recommend the brunch, though.

During the Bollywood night event at the Manahatta club, my friends and I encountered a distressing incident of racism involving the security staff. One of my friends was subjected to disrespectful treatment, and the reasons they provided for ejecting him from the club were unfounded. His only offense had been expressing frustration after being pushed in the crowded dance area, which was packed to the brim with enthusiastic patrons. The security staff's unjustified actions marred the evening for us, and we were left bewildered and hurt by the unfair treatment. In response to this distressing encounter, our entire group made the difficult decision to leave the club. This incident was a stark reminder of the importance of confronting racism and discrimination wherever it rears its ugly head. Such experiences should not be tolerated, and it's crucial to raise awareness about them to promote a more inclusive and respectful environment for all.

Top place to go, music, atmosphere, size, location, age group 25+. Bit of a mare getting a drink but was worth the wait

I feel I need to share my experience in the hope changes can be made. I attended the Manahatta venue with a group of friends on a Saturday Evening. One of my friends suffers from sleep narcolepsy which causes her to fall asleep quickly. She fell asleep suddenly in the venue. Her friends (including I) were close by, planning to accompany her home. In the meantime my friend was spotted by a door attendant. I witnessed my friend being escorted out of this venue by the door attendant. I understand that falling asleep is a reason to be escorted out from a venue, however I feel very concerned that the door attendant escorted a vulnerable female from a venue without making an effort to find out if she had anyone around her who could care for her. No effort was made to organise transport or ensure the safety of my friend was in place. If I hadn’t witnessed the situation, I dread to think of the consequences. I feel very disappointed and sad that this behaviour is still able to happen in 2023. Manahatta, please help you door attendants understand situations such as this, and please ensure that young vulnerable women are not being put at risk.

Great service, music and the drinks kept flowing for our bottomless brunch ,food was ok , no pressure to leave we were there from 12pm til 7pm thankyou we will be back

Perfect for meeting friends for brunch

Loved the Friday Fizz. Young bar man (has 2 earrings and a student) was very friendly and helpful with the cocktail choices too! A young black waiter served us and was very attentive and courteous even after having to move tables twice due to difficulties using the higher seating area. Will def come back

The food was simply dreadful! £13.20 for a 'Deluxe Burger' with cheese...but it was simply a standard burger...done poorly. Terrible sauce. Too much pepper. The starters were even worse. The gyozas tasted as if they were frozen, and then microwaved (for £7.95). The Halloumi and Mozzarella Fries looked and tasted like own brand supermarket frozen breaded cheese sticks (£7.95). Without exaggeration...I think that this could be the worst place we have eaten in York. (The only saving grace was that the server was really nice and friendly.)

Was out on the weekend celebrating when we walked up to manahatta. The bouncer singled out my friend and told her she was “too drunk to get in” as she’d “stumbled up” to manahatta. This friend has cerebral palsy and wears splints so is a bit unsteady on their feet. The bouncer refused to listen to our reason and only decided to let us in when we called him out for discrimination. My friend ended up in tears and after that treatment we decided not to drink in there. Safe to say I won’t be going back and I think the bouncers there need more training on what to look out for when deciding if someone is “too drunk”

l've never been so disappointed and pinolised by the bouncers there, me and my friends were walking there and watched me one of them said to me I'm not letting u in ur too drunk u can't walk in a straight line (it was about 11pm) .Bearing in mind I have epilepsy and cerebral palsy which I'm abit wobbly anyway as I wear a splint and wouldn't listen to my reasoning or my friends. He was arguing back at us refusing to let us in. Eventually he let us in with a half hearted apology I was in tears in the middle of town feeling so degraded been treated like this and I will never be returning until they can have different bouncers or those men have some Respect

Nice bar and cocktails were of a good quality and fairly priced. However, although a fairly busy evening it took far to long to get served compared to other bars and clubs I have been to.

Closed on a Tuesday - says it opens at 1700 on the door - we went to Evil Eye instead round the corner - much better anyway

Fabulous cocktail.s A little more expensive, but much better than some others & I liked the idea of the bamboo? basket. It's not as heavy for the waiter/ waitress to carry unlike the heavy plates in others. Pet hate, would be a wooden platter.!

Bartender Dylan was polite, very friendly and very helpful with choosing a cocktail from the many great choices.

Hot buffet food was put out 45 minutes before we were asked to go and help ourselves, so it was completely cold. Not enough food was put out and there weren't enough plates either. Very disappointed.

Wouldn't waste your time or money. Out on a Saturday, dressed up but turned away for wearing black Nike airs because they don't let trainers in with bubbles on them. Not to worry spent my money in different places around York. No wonder it was the quietest on the street.

Had an amazing time here for our wedding anniversary, we didnt book, we walked in on the off chance we could have a bottomless brunch which the staff sorted for us really quickly, food and drinks were lovely! And a big shout out and thank you to Sandil and Aiday for looking after us and making sure we were never without a drink. We'll definitely be back!

Went on a hen do for bottomless brunch, only had 90 minutes but took over half hour for first drinks to come out but after the hen mentioned it, they gave us another hour and the tables were filled with drinks, they didn’t stop bringing them! Food was lovely!

Great service, nicely set out with good space. Lovely booths, some updating and repairs needed but can't fault the staff.

Thursday afternoon, not busy but seemed to struggle serving customers. We ended up ordering bottle of wine, it seemed simpler than ordering cocktails. Liked the place but better service would have been good.

Popped in for a drink before dinner on a Monday, very quiet, but it was a Monday! Friendly barman, 2-4-1 cocktails and decent craft beer selection. New York theme was fun.

Out on a standard night out. Just wanted to have a few drinks. Random guy in a spiderman suit ( later learnt he was on a stag doo, not an excuse) grabbed my, my 18 year old brothers and my friends bum. I'm not talking a slight touch, a full on firm grab. Complained to the bouncers who didn't seem to care we are all male. Imagine if this was 3 females on a night out. Terrible from the management and bouncers

Started off okay but they was so rude it’s unbelievable couldn’t believe how rude they was!! Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there at all!! Charged my friend twice got money of one friend and then asked for it again off my other friend!!!! Never again!!!!!

I ordered a gin and tonic and a rum and coke and it cost well over what you would pay elsewhere and didn't come with any garnish no lemon etc. Waited about 15 minutes at the bar. Only came for a friend's birthday don't think I'd return.

Nice food, well presented. Lively environment. Enjoyed the cocktails (2 for 1). I managed to get a table for 2 without a reservation. We will definitely return on our next visit to York.

Great area spacious venue, definitely one to add to your booking list for big events or if you want a cozy booth with friends. Had the bao buns and they were amazing. But boas in general are.

Came here in June for a friends birthday over the Queens Jubilee weekend. We had a large table and had ordered the bottomless brunch. It was meant to be a drag event but we were put at the top so couldn't see or hear the drag queen so wasn't worth paying extra for. Also one of the girls was pregnant and wasn't drinking. Asked if she could have a lemonade instead of the lemonade based mocktail that was on offer. Was told she could then was charged afterwards for it. She spoke to the supervisor who wouldn't budge and said it had to be paid. £50 for a meal for one person absolutely not worth it.

As a member of a hen party I really enjoyed it here. We went on a Saturday afternoon at 3pm for a bottomless brunch and while the food was really good there was a good supply of cocktails also. A really good value for money afternoon and a good atmosphere. I also liked the staff who where all very smiley and happy to help

Remortgaged needed after a few Gin n Gingers in here, worth it! Great bar, great tunes, great night! Will defo be coming back.....with a stolen card ;)
