Usually wouldn’t eat at any of the restaurants at the zoo, but didn’t have enough time to make me and my partner some packed lunch, so we decided to check the street kitchen out for lunch whilst at the zoo. I thought the menu looked ok, nothing impressive, but tbh there are so many seats at the street kitchen, so it does make sense. Me and my partner both ordered the Manado Honey Sesame Chicken and a side of vegetable spring rolls. We both thought the food looked quite decent tbh. We did try think the chilli’s were quite spicy, but it did make sense as the place was East Asian inspired food. For the price, I think it’s not too bad. Although I would definitely go to the Oakfield restaurant next time as it’s not that much more and the food looked much better.

Don't bother eating here! Food options aren't what they used to be a few year ago. Now they're serving up frozen burger patties and cheap chicken. Such a shame they've let standards slip with their food options.

Apparently the menu has changed! Gone are the amazing loaded fries and super chicken burger. In its place are bland chicken strips and cold beef burgers with unrelated cheese and tasteless chips. Very sad as the food previously was second to none.

Burger looked very sad. Cold chips. There is a drink that comes with popping bubbles, but the bubbles don’t fit through the straw they provide you with… You can order on the app to have food brought to the table, but comes with no napkins or condiments

We've ordered burgers and a curry. The burger was cold and cheese wasn't even melted. The flat bread was barely thawed. Does the job but next time I'll be packing some sandwiches and fruit. Table service is great!

Forget the usual disappointing fare at zoos and theme parks! This place was a breath of fresh air. While not the cheapest option, the exceptional service and delicious food made it completely worth it. It's the best meal I've ever had in a captive audience situation, hands down!

Service was really slow and food is quite expensive for things like sides . I've been a member of the zoo for 20 years and save 10%, but it still baffles me how much they take advantage of the captive audience (I mean the visitors).

I always take a packed lunch to the zoo as the food is super expensive and honestly I don't really like the limited options. However... the Manado climbing frame is ace and my little boy love playing and climbing here ... so that is really our main reason for stopping to eat our packed lunch and have a play! (Less busier than June's ... but busier than the Tropical realm play area)

Sorry took our own picnic. Prices were high for what was on offer. Had coffees but weren't impressed quite weakly made. Lots of tables available, beware plenty of wasps and flying ants.

Cheap dishes and a good range. Hardly 'street food' but more like full meals. I couldn't even finish my pork belly and beef strip loaded fries! But they were sooo good. Some vegan options if that's your thing. Atmosphere was great. Right in the middle of the zoo with a nice south Asian aesthetic. The only negative was that you either need exceptional hearing or you need to wait by the bar for your food to be ready. There's no table service so you need to wait for a cashier to yell your order number across the quad. Not great but probably in-keeping with the street-food vibe. Recommended.

For a zoo, the food is quite good. It's reasonably priced, and instead of just oily fast food, you can actually pick up a decent healthy meal like the honey sesame chicken. The only downside was that the rice was sticking together, but oh well.

Food looks okay until you try to eat it. Burgers are served stone cold, on cardboard buns and taste terrible.

Been to Chester zoo a couple times before first time eating here. Was very impressed! Food was really lovely not your typical attraction food. I had the sesame 'chicken' bowl which was lovely just what I needed and it came with a drink which was £11.50 and the portion was pretty big. My frie d who has a smaller appetite had a kids cheeseburger meal which was £7.50 it came with chips, corn on the cob and a drink and the portion was big for a kids meal. Overall very happy and will visit again

I wouldn't say overpriced for what you get but you do tend to get more food than you could eat. Very flavoursome though and you get a drink with your meal. There's always the birds and the ducks to feed whilst you eat. Service was quick too.

Absolutely amazing food but it's a very long wait. Looking at everyone's plate you just get too much, loads of food left over. The staff do there best but smaller portions may result in quicker turn around for food. Even my oldest Son who could eat an Elephant left loads. The loaded chips could feed three people.

Since its changed over to this food the place has been a disorganised mess. They have 2 sometimes 3 separate queues for the food and ice cream but there is no indication of this so you can queue up for an indefinite amount of time, then get to the front to be told that queue is only for drinks and ice cream. To then be told to go queue in the other queue. You wait in the other queue for another 20 mins and be served - eventually by someone. The staff all look either over worked or chilling out - all seem miserable, and not many seem to know what they are doing. We ordered a kids burger for our toddler, after fairly long wait we were served an adult chicken burger thing that may have been one of the cassowary birds that recently passed - we suspect. *it was a really hot day when we went and an hour or two before close so they should that could have been a factor in all the uselessness.

After a lovely day at Chester Zoo we decided to get something to eat. We were pointed to the Manado street food. We ordered hot dog and.a plant based burger. Firstly the food was almost stone cold. The staff were lovely and changed it for some hot food The burger was served on a dry, bun, the burger looked so tiny on a big roll with a bit of lettuce & tomato (the best bit). It was dry and tasteless. The lady I was with found it extremely difficult to eat the hot dog (she can only use one hand) it was impossible to eat due to it being smothered with some kind of garlic sauce all over the top of the roll. She ate a few chips, a sausage and a lemonade. This along with my burger which was quite honestly the worst plant based burger I ever had and barely fit for human consumption cost £25.50 pence. My advice is to take a packed lunch!!

The slowest place ive ever order food from. If they move any slower they will stand still. 40min for loaded fries and regular one. Well done. On the top of it they done go by the ticket number so people who order after me have their food faster. Bringntour own food from home. Joke

Off peak visit so food court not really used. We brought sandwiches but purchased coffee, tea and a portion of chips, all were as expected and nice refreshment. Plenty of seating, high chairs available and a children's play area. Our area overlooked lowland Anoa enclosure who graced us with their presence as we were leaving.

Visited 9/9/22, not a busy day when you compare to summer holidays but we still had a long wait time both queuing and waiting for food. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries and hotdog with fries. Husband was told the burger would have no letttuce, fine no problem. Once we got the food he said his hotdog was basic and overcooked. My cheeseburger, did have lettuce despite being told there was none, but it was frozen! So it made the bun soggy and inedible. The burger patties were basic but edible at least. Wouldn't recommend.

Predatory pricing. They don’t include VAT in the menu total, meaning something that I thought I was going to pay £8.50 for, actually costs £9.92, which is quite the difference. Was expecting bill to be around £18, was actually £24. Wait times were atrocious. 30 minute queue time, 15 minute for food to be made. Food/drink quality is poor. Litter and food all over floor. Avoid.

I’ve eaten here twice over the years whilst visiting Chester Zoo and it’s not bad and I haven’t had a bad experience. I understand other people might of had the opposite experience when it’s busy. Yet, when I’ve been it’s not been busy and the food is decent for a zoo.

Wait times were just too long (upwards of 45 mins). The food itself was good but with such a large zoo to go around you can't afford to be waiting around for that long. Would take my own lunch in future.

Disgusting service and food. It took my husband and son-in-law half an hour to order and pay for food, then another half an hour wait whilst they cooked it. My son-in-law recieved his food (extremly poor especially the chicken wrap ordered for my Granddaughter). Fed up of waiting we asked fof a refund. My advice is to take a packed lunch.

Incredibly slow. Spent half an hour waiting in line - wasn't that long. Found out when we got to the counter they weren't serving salads, so had to change choices. Then took half an hour for our food to be served. Disappointing experience
