Man Lee Chinese Food to Take Away in Croydon

My default choice when I want a Chinese takeaway & has been for...? I really can't remember how long. That's how long it's been since I went anywhere else The food is delicious & the people who run it are very nice Why would I go anywhere else?

Went to order tonight , the women on the phone was really rude , abrupt , ignorant and quiet frankly I won't be ordering here ever again .... Last time my food arrived cold and told I would have a discount next time and they obviously don't hold to their word either... v. Disappointed.

The food was tasteless and in my opinion over priced. I wanted my special fried rice without the egg and they wouldn’t do it, because the egg fried rice had already been pre-cooked. This suggests to me the food isn’t freshly prepared. Customer service was appalling. Will never ever return!!

Have ordered from Manlee on numerous occasions in the past. On this occasion when the food arrived it was inedible and disgusting. It was promptly thrown in the bin. When we rang to complain the staff was rude, abusive, threatening and dismissive. We were told that 'if we wanted to complain about the food, then don't bother to come back. We have no intention of going back or giving our hard earned money to a sub--standard Chinese takeaway. All they are interested in is taking your money for below par food.

Takeaway only and you have to order ahead at the moment. Staff very friendly and follow social distancing and other covid rules. Food is always excellent.

King prawn chow mein very disappointing. Very dry, no beanshoots or anything. 4 prawns. Very disappointing for the price.

Just had the worst experience from man lee in Couldson. Honestly the way I have been spoken to was atrocious! We ordered our food and was told it would be ready for collection in 40 mins. Turned up 45 mins to have payment taken and told it wouldn’t be long and to wait outside. At this time there was already 5 other people waiting and the phone constantly ringing for new orders. I then waited about another 20/30 mins to have orders that were placed after me collected. When I questioned how much longer our order would be I was faced with aggressive behaviour from 3 member of staff including one from the kitchen. All that kept being shouted was ‘what do you want me to do!’ ‘You can see we are busy’ and saying all our customers appreciate we are busy due to it being Christmas time. I totally did appricate this however being told it would be 40 mins and waited an hour all I wanted to know how long it would be. Once I took myself out of this situation of being verbally abused with no choice but to wait outside in the pouring rain until my food was finally ready all I could hear was her still shouting in the kitchen and just staring at me. My food was finally ready about 10 minutes after I complained as they clearly just started doing it. The food was nice however I’m not sure it was worth the service that was provided. I have never had a problem with there previously however I don’t think I would like to go back to there after knowing this is how they treat their customers.

AMAZING Definitely one of the best Chinese in the area, the salt and pepper chicken is highly recommended!!

Definitely the best Chinese takeaway and they deliver

This is the best Chinese takeaway in the country. On the occasions when Man Lee has been closed, and I've foolishly ordered from somewhere else, or when I've been away from home and had Chinese, I am always disappointed when comparing it to here.

Have been coming to this establishment for over 20+ years now. I’m very sad to say the service has taken a dramatic dive. I will say that the food is still delicious, however the portions have been noticeably less and less. The customer service has also been appalling, after noticing many items from an order missing and being told we never ordered and being told “tough” basically. I am happy to change this review pending on future service but as it stands I’m very upset my favourite takeaway has not been to their regular standards.

Manlee has been a reliable Chinese takeaway for many years now. Comprehensive menu. Food always very good and the owner is extremely friendly. Delivery has always been reliable too.

Been coming here for over 30 years.always been good but over the last 2 years, it's become a bit hit and miss, all the time with a steady price increase. the real problem has been the last 3 meals, the chicken curry has been tough and the chicken balls have been worse. we actually couldnt chew some of them. unfortunatly we'll be ordering elsewhere in future.

This is a local Chinese takeaway. It's ok certain dishes are very good but others not so good. The prices I'd say are not that cheap. It's not expensive so I'd say they are moderately to slightly expensive. There is usually somewhere to park, but does get busy Fridays and Saturdays especially in the evening as there is also a kebab shop and fish and chips shop as well as off license and newspaper shop. The cleanliness is not always a good standard especially the front window that always seems like it needs a wash. The staff are friendly enough and are welcoming and attentive.

The food is fine and the staff seem nice. However, wholly unnecessarily they charge for use of a debit card. That kind of thing really annoys me as it is simple profiteering. Therefore, I won't be going back, as I despise intensely anyone trying to "mug me off".

This Chinese Takeaway is excellent and never quiet. Which means fresh food. You can see the food being cooked through the open plan kitchen whilst waiting. Order by phone or just call in ...... Friendly and speedy service, and delicious food!
