We came to have something to bite on Mother’s Day. We have been greeted by the very helpful and friendly Blazej. Positively surprised by food: fresh and tasty. Good choice of beers, if one wants to know. Will be back for some more delicious polish dishes.

Delicious Polish home cooking at a really fair price! We went there spontaneously and were pleasantly surprised: the portions are large, you can help yourself to salads from the salad bar to accompany your main courses, and the young crowd and relaxed atmosphere are a definite recommendation!

Encouraged by the nice-looking sign and opinions on the Internet, we went for a meal to Mamuśka while sightseeing in London. The decor of the place refers to the times of the Polish People's Republic, including the dark atmosphere of a bygone era... I don't know if this is supposed to encourage British customers, but the number of old emblems obtained is a plus. The borscht with croquette was tasty, the croquette could have been less fatty, but we ate it with gusto. Dumplings with cabbage and mushrooms are also tasty, the dough is correct, the stuffing could perhaps taste more like sauerkraut. Ukrainian dumplings - no onion, everything is ground into a uniform mass :-( but you can eat it. However, the dumplings with spinach and goat cheese definitely need some refinement - they are completely tasteless, we often eat them in Poland, the spinach has to be seasoned with a small amount of garlic, and adding sweet goat cheese to this mass is unacceptable... nevertheless, we keep our fingers crossed for a Polish element in the center of London and we wish that a Polish hostess with good taste would visit you from time to time and the atmosphere would not resemble a milk bar with a hint of a beer pub in Gierek's times.

A great place for groups. I've visited Mamuśka many times and each visit was a fabulous experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the food is delicious.

Hearty, canteen style Polish food. I went there with my Polish friend turned boyfriend turned husband for one of my first dates and we were fresh graduates. Great on the pocket, large portions, easy vibes and centrally located. MAMUŚKA means MIL in Polish. Order these 2 and you’ll not go wrong or hungry for your booze later: Kiełbasa and/or Schabowy (and if you have appetite, Szarlotka) Goto the Southbank for a walk and beer afterwards. Good times :)

Overall place ad employees make You feel warm welcomed. Should I recommend 🤔 not quite sure the idea with salad bar it's great schabowy tower tasty and that's a clever idea to mix thoose flavours but You need to change quality of sausage, I can taste it's cheap and didn't get additional flavour as it should in leczo. People who didn't know Polish flavours might not feel it,but..(yeah,but) popped in and check for me-personally maybe will be back for dessert and coffe as mains not worth it for a price.

Genuinely one of the coolest places I've ever been. I went with my school on a group trip and this was really the highlight of it all. The location is absolutely incredible, right by a tunnel filled with art including one of Banksy's early works, Mamuśka itself is also beautiful and so unique. The owner's an is an amazing guy, he made the experience unforgettable, great music taste, signed my menu which is 100% my favorite souvenir of the trip. Don't wanna spoil any more of the experience, every art lover needs to check this place out for themselves ;) Thanks again for the wonderful dinner! Absolutely need to come back some day!

Excellent service from everyone, the food is real delicious and different to what people normally eat. The chairs are a bit uncomfortable, however, they serve the food fat so you don't have to remain sit for a long time. Their lunch time menus are great for grabbing a bite on something traditional and try a beer and a salad.

This experience changed me. I walked through the door a boy, and left a man. The food: spectacular, the atmosphere: spectacular, the service: spectacular the washrooms: pristine, the owner: the most incredible man I have ever laid eyes on, got him to sign our menu for us. I will be framing it and placing it above my door to bring good luck for future generations. That is the raw power his signature holds. Not to mention the music, very fitting and very, very good. Had to ask for the playlist. To which I will listen to everyday to connect my seven chakras and reach harmony of soul and mind. This restaurant helped me expand my minds eye, as I can now sense the emotions and worries of a pigeon over 450 meters away (new record!). In summary, since entering the establishment, sitting, eating, and leaving, I have been cleansed of my worries and doubts, my sins and sorrows, my heart ache and hatred. I have been sent on a new journey in life. All thanks. To Mamuska.

It's a good attempt to recreate Polish foods, and they achieve it at almost the best level. As a descendant of Slavs, I have tried these foods made by the hands of several grandmothers and I think they meet the requirements but are not enough. I think they are on the right track and without a doubt, practice will lead them to improve, but also, try and find a balance in the flavors. I want to say that for me, the best Polish food is made by my grandmother, but they have to convince the palates of many grandmothers, not just one.

Food used to be better a few years ago, overall not too bad.

If you take someone who doesn't know Polish cuisine, this is a great option for two people for £50. There are several dishes to try different flavors. The starter set includes 10 dumplings (mix), vegetable salad, lard with cucumber, mushroom croquette and borscht. The main part consists of pork chop, pork goulash, bigos, potatoes and fries. And for dessert, cheesecake. You also have separate plates for the salads and you put as much as the factory gives. The waitress wasn't lying when she said "You won't leave here hungry" 😂 except that almost half of them went home with us. Great place! I recommend it 😊

The pierogi tasted storebought. The climate of the restaurant is fantastic and the general look is amazing. The food needs heavy improvement, especially that me and my date paid over 100£ for starter, food and only a few alcoholic beverages.

Pretty good vegan food, though the starters are definitely stronger than the mains (don’t go for the Kotlet, which was rather disappointing) They do have salt pickles though 😍

The place itself very cosy, service very polite and smiley. However, the food is not the best, the taste is not there. It is classified as polish but doesn’t taste like home made food. We have ordered potato pan cakes that had nothing to do with placki ziemniaczane ( dark- possibly due to potatoes quality and fried on old or fishy oil as they smelled of fish). Pierogi mediocre , nothing special, sadly. On the other hand , salad bar amazing - typical Polish salads, very tasty. Sadly, it won’t be my polish restaurant to go back to

Amazing polish food, cheap lunch menu strated from 8 pounds.

After a few days of eating London cuisine, we came across this Polish restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was extremely polite, and the karpatka and apple pie were simply delicious!

La decoración era buena, debajo de los arcos ferroviarios en Waterloo, y las porciones buenas por el precio, no te vas a ir con hambre. Solo había una cosa que me puso fuera de la barra de ensaladas, que inicialmente pensé que era una buena idea, que tenía encurtidos, col roja, etc. Volví a llevar mi plato de ensalada a la mesa después de llenarlo, pero noté una pluma húmeda entre los pepinillos. Me remitieron a una señora que supongo que era la gerente. Inicialmente dijo que probablemente era un pedazo de eneldo, pero yo le enseñé la pluma. Me ofreció un plato nuevo, sin disculpas y tampoco quitó la bandeja de pepinillos. Me negué.

Absolutely lush food and amazing beer! My son loved it too. He ate for free. The menu is like a newspaper which you can take home. Very nice staff with a brilliant service. Definitely worth a visit as the prices are very reasonable.

Overall experience was fine, just my meal choice wasn’t lucky. I’m a big fan of goulash and the goulash we were served with potato placki(pancakes) was far from expected. Tasted lot more like just pork cooked in some gravy sauce. Certainly wouldn’t order it again. Pierogi were tasty.

Yo calificaría este restaurante con un 3. 5 si esa fuera una opción. El servicio fue excelente, lo que hizo que la experiencia fuera agradable. Los pierogi, sin embargo, fueron un poco decepcionantes. La masa era extremadamente espesa, definitivamente la más gruesa que he tenido con pierogi. Les daría un 3 sobre 5. Por otro lado, los gołąbki (rollos de col rellenos) servidos con puré de papas eran muy buenos y sabrosos.

Love this place! Been here several times and it never fails to impress. Today, came in for lunch and ended up staying for dinner too.. the ogorkowa zupa was too good not to have more. Thank you Ian and Team.

First time trying Polish food, and it was truly wonderful. Martin was very very kind, and the atomosphere was great. A lot of recommendations to everyone! The atmosphere, food, and servers were the best.

I was there during lunchtime and ordered a lunch set. I had to wait 40!! minutes for my order—that’s way too long. There were very few people, yet the service was so slow. The soup was tasteless, and the pasta was overcooked and floating in tomato-flavored water.

It's a long way to Polish cuisine. Thin, hard chicken breast cutlets without breading, fries as fries, salad approx.

Was here for an event. Staff was polite. Drinks were more expensive than expected, but would come again

I have been going back to this place for lunch over the last few months and I have been recommending it to my colleagues. However I wanted to share this week’s experience.. I went back to have the soup of the day and there was ‘chicken’ soup. However this soup traditionally is without chicken which I knew as I make it at home, but the bouillon tasted like it was made from a packet.. also, there was no bread given until I asked.. I left hungry and disappointed.. On the positive note, I had the meat, sausage and cabbage soup with the bread a few weeks ago and the taste was outstanding 🤩

Very good place to try typical Polish food. You can order some typical starters yourself while you wait for the dishes, the only bad thing is that they came first and seconds all together. Looking forward to returning to try more dishes.

Messed up my order for pierogi, ordered onions and bacon, dish came with loads of onions (great!) and soured cream. When i handed my dish back its like they scraped the dish contents off as your would do throwing food into a bin onto a new plate, and sent it back out this time with bacon but now almost all onions had disappeared, 1/10 for presentation of the "fixed" dish and most of the pierogi still had blotches of sour cream on them which tasted rank. I also ordered beef cheeks, something tasted weird about the beef and my stomach was off the next morning, the mash potato's as well where lumpy and it put me off finishing the very expensive dish. For the price i was expecting this to blow away any sort of polish food i had grown up on eating, coming from a polish family, the place itself is nice but food was a disappointment

Held an event here for nearly 50 people, amazing location and space in the arches! Food was delicious, service was fantastic, we were so well looked after! Everyone loved it! Highly recommend.

Wrong drinks and very slow service

Came on a quiet Tuesday night on my own while staying at a nearby hotel with work. Food was lovely and the service was good, recommending good non-alcoholic options and coming attentively without me having to ask for a waiter. Got 10 pierogi’s (all veggie) and was stuffed so probs don’t need to order all that - but glad I sat in rather than getting delivery!

Although this is a nice spot to come and get a Polish vibe if you’re homesick, it is not the place to go unless you want to get service charge added without knowledge onto your bill. Me and my friend have been overcharged almost double! We only realised after when we looked at the menu that the price for a vodka and soda should be less. We also ordered a bottle and had to ask for the cooler - why am I paying service charge to ask these things and open my own bottle of wine at the bar? When we asked about the student discount, we have been told that they don’t do it on Saturday, even if the sign outside does state that student discount is everyday. I will also mention the way the staff reply in these reviews is plain rude and unprofessional. This is not a place I’d want to return to anytime soon.

Ambiente stile loft, molto accattivante, servizio ai tavoli pessimo, vista l'attesa inaccettabile a locale semivuoto per prendere l'ordine e altrettanto inaccettabile per portare quanto ordinato. Pierogi buoni e il resto pure, servizi puliti. Consigliato chiedere all'arrivo i tempi d'attesa, per il resto ok.

This is a great Polish restaurant in London. The food and drinks menu has so many options to choose from. The food is really good. The only thing I didn't like was smietana (sour cream). The consistency and the taste were nothing like polish smetana that I buy regularly. The servers were attentive and helpful. The prices are a bit too high. I rate this place 5 stars 🌟 because they support Ukraine. I have been there twice and will definitely come again.

Vi este lugar desde el autobús una noche regresando de Waterloo, el autobús estaba en una desviación, así que tuvimos suerte de verlo. Volvimos al día siguiente, el último de nuestro reciente viaje a Londres. Un restaurante de aspecto moderno construido en un arco ferroviario de la estación de Waterloo. Más como un comedor que un restaurante, pero todavía muy bueno. Los menús están en un periódico diario, un poco diferente. Muchos recuerdos polacos repartidos por el lugar. No soy un experto en comida polaca, pero me pareció que era polaco, similar a lo que he tenido en viajes al país. Precio razonable y muy sabroso. Apuesto a que el lugar estaba bastante ocupado en las noches antes de Navidad. Volveré cuando pueda.

It's a pity for a really nice restaurant, which can be seen from the very infantile responses of the restaurant manager. We were a group in Mamuśka, a dozen or so people. Reservation a few weeks before the visit. The owners must have made some changes, because now any available waiter comes to the table. This causes the so-called Czech film, no one knows what is happening. One waiter takes the order, another brings it, the third asks about the quality, the fourth answers when the food will be ready, and so on ad infinitum. Our dinner ended disastrously. One person left the premises early because the kitchen and waiters simply forgot about her and did not serve her food, despite placing an order and asking for it several times. At the very end, when there were only a few people left, the waiters forgot about another person who was not served beer (where leaving a guest with a so-called dry mouth is shameful in Polish culture). After receiving the bill, it turned out that the beer that the person did not receive was charged to the bill. After remarking to waiter number fifty, the waiter took the beer off the bill. However, we felt that this time the Mamuśka crew did not deserve the automatic tip and asked for it to be removed from the bill. The waiter started arguing with us and offered to mark us down rather than take a tip, apparently in order to get a tip despite the terrible level of service. Ultimately, we had our way and asked to take a picture of the tip. I'm very sorry, because despite its quite high prices (and let's face it, £8 for 5 frozen dumplings is a damn high price), I really liked going to Mamuśka because of the good food, atmosphere and Cydr Lubelski, which is very hard to get anywhere else in the UK . However, the way I was treated as a customer definitely alienated me from Mamuśka and the current way of managing the restaurant.

Young staff with atitude. Only a guy was nice an proffesional. We have asked for a plate for a salad bar. We didn't get it. When we asked for a bill and we mentioned about the plate, the waitress said she can still bring it. We have asked for a coffe. After half an our we have to ask again. Nice place and food but staff could have better customers service.

Very good Polish cuisine in the center of London. Affordable prices, large variety of dishes, I recommend a set for two that allows you to try some of the most popular Polish dishes without having to decide on just one.

Difficult to pinpoint but although the service was polite and friendly, it was extremely slow. Perhaps partially due to being short staffed but also quite chaotic and forgetful. We were a table of nine, ordered drinks, after ten minutes most arrived except three which we waited twenty minutes for. Then around forty minutes for food and I personally had to ask twice for cutlery as had nothing to eat with in the meantime the food was getting cold. And of course, on top of that 12.5% service charge. For.......? Overall, food delicious but the whole experience disappointing.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The venue is super spacious and versatile. A huge thank you to Ian and the team for making our event so special. We highly recommend Mamuśka! for any occasion—you won’t be disappointed!
