I could have flown to Portugal and back in the time it took the snail in transit to deliver my food. Once arrived (2 hours late) I was served up a brown box of what can only be described as stones from my garden. Dry, tasteless and glued together food. Save your inner peace and money by AVOIDING this place at all cost. Absolute disgrace.

They have delivered the wrong order three times. I have received a cheaper meal than what I ordered. Do not order a takeaway from them. They will not refund you the money either. Unprofessional restaurant from Mamos in bold street Liverpool.

Says 4pm opening waited outside, I tapped on shutter barrier went up a angry little man says we are not ready about half hour no apology, I think when these places start off the customers are the reason they are a success I travelled a good few miles to get there I've ordered a good few meals from there in past but I will never visit again to be greeted by a angry little scrot, I advise customers to give them a wide berth

I was stood outside this shop and received a mouthful of abuse from a male member of staff. As a female, waiting for a bus outside, being told to move from outside was not only intimidating but rather upsetting.

Don't go here, honestly, don't! Worst take away I've ever had. I've never written a review before because I'm not that type of person, but this took the absolute p*ss. Got their 'signature burger'. What they gave me was a dry burger, no sauce, no salad, over-cooked, definitely not Gourmet. Chips were dry and tasted like they had been re-heated. Chicken wings were re-heated, dry, awful. If it was a generic burger that cost £5-7 I'd understand, but not £9 and £2 extra for chips. Don't go here. Fuming.

Ordered a takeaway. The chips were freezing and soggy. Soggy greasy onion rings. The chicken wrap had black lettuce and was cold. Pizza horrible. Worst takeaway by far. Delivery driver was lovely

Ordered at 18.55 today and after 1hr and 40min wait still no order. My son called up to ask about delivery and the guy hurled abuse at him down the phone and told him to F off and put phone down. Absolutely vile! Worst place ever! I’m actually counting it as a blessing that I never received order based on past reviews. Disgusting!!

Yesterday I ordered an xxxl menu (half farrouj and half farrouj both with the flavor u prefer, 2 lamb chops,very small and cold, 2hot wings but they weren't hot, 3 sides at choice, very cold, 2 desserts and 1,5 l of coke), and a mixed fries total around 23,50. The time supposed to be 46 minutes, but the food arrived 1h and half later. Fortunately he delivered it up to my floor, the time to take out all the food from the bags that I saw that mixed fries and the desserts were not inside. So I've called the restaurant and they let me wait a lot of time at the phone and after a lot of words without a sense, to sort the problem they invited me to call "just eat" to be refunded, but I didn't make the order by just eat, but directly on their website. Anyway they told be that they will refund me with money back but I'm waiting from 24 hours and nothing happens. I also sent them an email but no replies. I was waiting a calling or something like that to invite me to come to their restaurant to give me the items missed,but no apologies I've received. Very bad customer service and very bad organization. Disappointing

Mamos has really stepped up recently and started making everything much better, Peri Peri chicken is cooked to perfection, and the burgers- yum yum so good, it's like being at a 5 star restaurant sometimes.

The best pizza I have ever had and I have been in Italy few times!!! Friendly staff. From now on that's the only place I am going to get the pizza from :-)

Landed at Manchester airport on new years day and ordered food from this place. I arrived at the restaurant to find that the food had been ordered on there computer system and not been cooked and was told there would be a 20 minute wait. I think this is an absolute disgrace and I will not be returning to this premise ever again.

Eaten at Mamos plenty of times before, and previously found the food really good. However, most recently I’ve found the service pretty terrible, last week my over the counter order took 45 mins for just a cheese burger and chips. That was bad enough, but it became pretty terrible when I eventually got to tuck in and I found a metal screw in the chips. Really, really not good, and could have really hurt someone. Something seems to have slipped, I hope the service can improve and definitely hope that finding metal objects in the food is not a regular occurrence.

Except to wait 2h for your food! It used to be ok with a good customer service but now they clearly don’t care. Twice in two weeks waiting more than two hours, last time we order there...

We orered via Deliveroo in May. We ended up waiting 50 minutes for an order that was supposed to be 25-30 minutes. When I called the restaurant to check on the status of the order the man I spoke to was extremely rude, spoke over me and refused to listen to what I was actually asking and refused to take any responsibility for the delay. He said the driver had the food so it was no longer their responsibility but the app status tracker said it was still with the restaurant. The food was of a reasonable standard at best. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I used to order from here frequently when it first opened but can safely say I will not be returning due to both the rudeness of the staff and the basic quality of the food.

This place is a an absolute shambles have to sense of what customer service is!! Ordered meal with young lady on the phone told her specifically what flavours , sides and extras we wanted with our meal she took the order but failed to mention they didn’t have have of what we ordered so driver comes and I take the food as I check the bags I realise half the order is missing I imeditily ring back to get this sorted an all’s she had to say was it not her fault she shutting the shop now to ring her manger on his mobile number!! I asked for a refund or the food to be delivered but again was told no ring him not my fault after her being the one taking the orders!! fair to say we never even eat what arrived as it was aload of oddments not a meal? No desserts or drinks just a pathetic loads of food threw in a bag for 21.99 the onion rings were that soggy I couldn’t even peel them out the packet disgusting don’t know how they think they can get away with treating customers like that , so I waited for the shop to open the next day an spoke to the manager who wasn’t much more help told me the girl on the phone must of been busy an got my order wrong yet when I phoned she’s was shutting at 11pm so couldn’t of been that rushed off her feet anyway he refused me a refund an said I could have my missing items delivered today? What he thought I was going to do at 8pm with rice , beans , chips , cheeseecake an drinks I don’t know!! I would of liked them with my meal? Regardless to say I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone it’s terrible an so are the customer service u recieve!!

Esperamos 2 horas para que llegara la comida. Dijeron que habían perdido nuestro pedido, cuando llegó estúpidamente no revisó todo el pedido. Solo noté que faltaba el batido. Después de pagar y el conductor se fue, luego descubrió maíz dulce, una bebida de la comida de los niños y papas fritas donde faltaba y la comida estaba fría. Hemos estado en Mamos anteriormente y la comida y el servicio era excelente. Tengo que decir que después de pasar más de 30 no volveremos. Absolutamente impactante servicio evitaría a toda costa.

Nos dieron pollo en lugar de falafel en nuestra envoltura (somos vegetarianos) y también nos dieron una envoltura menos de lo que pedimos, luego al llamarlos el servicio y la resolución fue terrible, mala comunicación, rechazo de un reembolso, gente grosera, mala comida , el primer y último orden que recibo IL, una experiencia horrible.

No como se describió. Se describió que Burger venía con ensalada de tomates y cebolla y cuando llegó no lo hizo. Cuando llamé a Mamos, el personal fue grosero y me dijo que si quería ensalada y tomate tenía que escribirlo como una nota adicional. Si se describe que una hamburguesa viene con ensalada, espero que venga con ensalada. Esto fue un poco de pollo con un chorrito de col arrojado sobre un pan por el que pagué más de 20. Ninguna oferta de disculpa o rectificación del personal grosero que constantemente me patrocinaba.

Nicest place to order authentic peri peri from. Plus they cater for every spice level. Recommend you order the xxxl meal with rice or sweet potatoe chips

Me pasó por ver si eran capaces de hacer un buffet para una fiesta enorme que tenía anoche y cada parte de su servicio era absolutamente increíble y muy profesional. Pedí 20 pizzas y lados para entrega en una noche de sábado que está siempre lleno. La comida era a tiempo, caliente y absolutamente deliciosa! ! Cada persona comentó sobre cómo la comida era fantástica. Se lo recomendaría a cualquiera y sin orden de ellos para cualquier otro partido que tengo en el futuro. Muchas gracias.

love the food here, can't fault it, the staff at the restaurant are great. always best to go there though as the delivery driver who drives the white SEAT is a top bellend and always expects you to go to the car to pick your food, mabey he dosent understand the meaning of delivery. would of given them a five, if it wasn't for the idiot driver.

I go to Mamos quite a lot and usually get the Peri Peri Chicken Strips or the Beef Wrap. Tonight I ordered a burger for takeaway. I ordered the Mamos Signature Burger and it was so dry. Both the burger patties were over cooked. All the moisture had been cooked out of them and they were really tough. The salad on the burger had also not kept well in transit and was soggy and bitter.

My friend and I ordered a late night delivery from here this evening.

I font write many reviews but felt compelled to write this. Ive just had the worst beef burger I've tasted in my life. The patties are huge but the type of meat they use is horrendous. The beef tasted like cheap donner meat...literally the lowest grade 'beef' I've tasted. Best part of the meal? The can of coke.

standard takeaway food.ordered a takeaway and it arrived in good time.Onion rings were soggy, tasted like theyd been warmed up/microwaved.pizza was nice, although it had a topping on we never ordered so had to pick it off.Chicken was average. over all, wasn't bad. probably wouldn't order from here again based on today's experience.

Had a wicked pizza from here. Fries were good too. Corn on the cob not so much. Would recommend it for a pizza.

Just a shame about the customer service And the fact it took me 45 minutes to get my food! The service was slow anyway (Sunday night) so I thought I'd give them the benefit if the doubt but after people started to get their food when they ordered after me, I started to get Annoyed. The girl kept looking at me, I could tell she was wondering where my food was but she didn't say anything to me, she didn't ask the chefs, she just kept doing other stuff. Only after I asked her where my food was did she take my receipt and ask the chef. From what I gathered it hadent been made because i asked for avocado on it and they didn't have any left....So after 45 mins it was made again (in about 3 mins!) and I was on my very hangry way. Oh. I was given a £1 for my missing avocado. To be fair the wrap I got was HUGE, so I think they gave me extra and it was very nice...but I can't go back to a place that is pretty rubbish to their customers. They weren't even that busy...maybe 5 people including me? So yeah, nice food but that's about it.

I visited this mini restaurant with my brother after a lot of hype around the place. First impression was the disappointment at the minimal seating areas which would mean that it would be near impossible to rest and enjoy your meal if you visit on a busy day. Still, you get an authentic American style burger joint feel when you enter which tempts you into staying and trying what they have to offer. The menu itself was fairly straight forward and easy to understand. I ordered the Classic double (beef) burger with cheese as a meal which comes with a drink and a portion of fries of your choice. I decided to order the 'regular' fries and my brother ordered a peri chicken burger meal with the 'peri' fries option. My first point of complaint is that they got my order so wrong when it was finally ready. Most notably, I was given a portion of peri fries when I had specifically ordered the regular fries. Secondly, my burger did not have any chess on it. I asked for the changes to be made, which they were nice enough to do without any reluctance or attitude, however, when my fries came back they still had peri fries at the bottom of the container! The attention to detail displayed by the restaurant really was poor. In addition, my brothers peri fries also contained sweet potato fries, which he actually didn't mind since he enjoys sweet potato fries, but thinking on behalf some other people, they might only want what they had ordered. The restaurant needs to either improve their service or make their menus clearer if it is done intentionally. Once the food was finally ready, I was excited to get stuck into an enticing looking burger which was presented immaculately. My first impression was an amazement at the sheer size of this burger. It was almost difficult to hold in two hands. However, biting into it, I was hugely disappointed at how dry and overcooked it was. It was genuinely hard to chew and swallow. I was really hoping for a deliciously juicy burger, but was presented with tough meat with the texture of rubber. I was left having to floss my teeth after so many tough strands of meat were stuck in between them. Overall, very disappointing which is a shame, since it had so much potential.

Ordered a couple of shredded beef wraps , turns out to be a broken up beef burger in a wrap !Do they think we are idiots , couldn't be bothered phoning them back as we had the same problem a few months back and would have thought they would have sorted it by now , obviously don't take on board fees back

Live locally to here and have been regular customers for the past year - however recently the standards have dropped considerably! Food orders are consistently incorrect and staff are rude and unhelpful when it comes to correcting them! Called yesterday for two chicken and cheese burgers, requested that neither have any coleslaw or sauce whatsoever - collected to order and got it home to find no cheese on either burger and huge amounts of coldslaw on both! Took them back, got no apology from the staff - they were not bothered. Replaced the burgers to the correct order but they were cold and unappetising - definitely will never visit this place again!

For the 4th consecutive time, they got my order wrong. When I took it back to complain they didn't care and didn't even apologise. This place has gotten worse and I will not be frequenting there again!

This place started off very well and now is not bothered for its reputation, had ordered 32 pounds worth off food and chips missing and drinks , said would be delivered within 15 mins, but nothing there is quite a few places like this they have now business management just start making money but don't no how to run a successful business, even the other branch in town is a serious joke delivery once came over 2 hours and I checked the food was cold and called the driver and give food back didn't pay, its a shame that the owner does not read reviews or understand how to run a successful business, just in it for the short term.

Daughter and friends ordered food for delivery and was told 45 minutes. Arrived an hour and a half later. Called to ask how long food would be and no apology given or gesture of goodwill because of time to do order. Even a phone call to tell us the order would be late would have helped. Food was only warm even when delivered. Don't order from here if you want hot food delivered quickly. Very disappointed as had heard really good reports about here.

The best pizza we've ever eaten. We ordered 20" pizza for two of us and has to ask to box leftovers as it was too much. The taste was wonderful, products used seemed to be fresh.We've also tried a Chocolate Lovers Delight, but it wasn't as good. We couldn't feel the taste of marshmallows.Though the place is tiny it felt very cosy.

I visited today with friends and it was the literally the best food I had ever tasted. The portion that was provided was generous and the price of the food was worth it. I cannot think of words to describe this experience and I am still mesmerised by its quality. Definitely worth the travel as its guaranteed it won't let you down.

Sorry lads. You have a good looking business down there but unfortunately your beef burger patties have been replaced with some sort of heavy construction material...Getting through one of the two patties in the classic burger is near to impossible - if you wanted to!

Gone down the Nick this place,what was once a decent place now leaves a lot to be desired .Maybe this Mamos has been neglected in favour of the new restaurant in the city centre ,staff woeful,food even worse ,very very disappointing ,never again

First time the food was really nice, had a delicious pizza, fries and a falafel. Also the staff was very friendly but not so much this second visit cuz the staff forgot we were eating there so they packed our food and just before giving it to us they asked "is it to go?" As we said no they unpacked the food and gave it to us in a bit of an annoyed way...but still my pizza was good but not as good as the first time I went (at the end I would go back).

Iv given this 1 star but only coz I can't do less.. Ordered for a Friday night treat, wish we'd gone hungry now waited and hour and half to pay £16 for food that was freezing cold (not exaggerating) the only thing warm about the order where the drinks. When I rung they were nice enough and then sent a driver back with half the money, but not good enough.. I'll be giving this place a wide birth from now on

Myself & son went here one afternoon so it wasn't too busy we both had the chicken strips with medium peri sauce one of us had rice the other chips. Portion sizes for the price is very good. It's only a small place so can get busy. Seen other people's food which looked nice so I will come back again

Firstly I cannot believe that they charge for using a debit card, what's that all about. I can understand sometimes having a minimum charge but even then WHY as long as ur getting paid but this place is charging a fee of 50p no matter how much the bill is. Twice we have been in and twice been charged even though we have spent £20 each time. Secondly, the service is not the best, there must have been at least seven men in the back all raised voices and just standing around doing nothing except looking at us and shouting to each other, there was one girl doing all the serving and I don't think any of them had a personality between them. Thirdly the food is not what it's cracked up to be, chips were not nice and the chicken burger was all over the place when I opened it up, it was as though it had just been thrown in, coleslaw everywhere.

I heard so many good things about mamos. Being hungover to death I decided to go all out and ordered a burger and a seafood pizza and chips! The pizza was ok, but Jesus Christ the burger... It was the size of my head. I've never seen anything so unappetising in my life. The bun was tiny in comparison, and the two massive patties over spilled out of the sides of the bun. The burger itself was extremely rubbery and salty. I took one bite and threw it away.

So guys I'm normally not big on writing reviews especially bad ones, however the customer service I received the last couple of times I've been their has been so terrible, that it'd be a sin not to share it with people.My friend and I went to get a pizza from this place last month. The person taking the order was extremely rude and didn't know what she was doing. I went with create your own half n half option and added 6 toppings to a 20" pizza 3 on each half, standard 20" on their menu is for £18.99. However, the total summed up to around £32, upon asking her how it's got to that, I got told by the woman serving me who had a proper cob on by then as if I'd questioned her existence, that the base of the pizza costs £18.99 and each topping I choose on top cost £2.50 on top or something, which made no sense whatsoever.So we ended up placing the order for 2 14" standard pizzas from their menu with no changes to it. While they were being made, we realized they had a BOGOF offer on large pizzas. I went and asked why we hadn't been given this offer and if they could give us a refund for the second pizza to which their manager (the bald scouse lad) told us that he couldn't give us a refund because of the way their system works or something, which again sounded like complete bollocks, so as an alternative he offered us a free pizza or 50% off on our next order, wrote it down on their receipt and signed it as well, to which we thought ok fair enough we can take that.Finally, yesterday we went in to use the 50% off offer their manager gave us. While we were making the order we thought we'd confirm it with the manager and luckily it was the same manager on shift and he remembered us from last time. However he completely disregarded the 50% off offer and told us he can't offer this even though it clearly said on the piece of paper he was holding with his own signature on and instead told us he could only give 50% off on one of the burgers and upon telling him that this is not what he promised he told us this piece of paper didn't mean anything and that he's not going offer us anything now. We were so speechless that we left the shop, thinking it wasn't worth it.All of this hassle might even have been bearable if the food was good. The pizzas were bland and badly made, with zero effort. We didn't even finish one of the pizzas between 3 people. The only reason we went back was because of the 50% off offer, which we never got. Terrible food, terrible service, the staff's attitude is abysmal and the manager doesn't think twice about lying. I'm sorry about the rant but seriously, save your time and money and avoid this place.

Been here a few times usually get the chicken strips with medium peri peri sauce and peri peri chips, good portion and relatively fresh, only touched for one time had cold chips. I look it as a cheap Nandos? dont like the deep fat fired places like chersters or chuckies so go here instead healthier and cooked on a grill instead of deep fat.

I regularly eat here with friends, the food is always cooked fresh, it is delicious and is also healthy which is great when you want something different but are eating healthily. The service is great and whenever I order deliveries, they are always on time, if not punctual! Highly recommend!

This place is a gem for takeout food. The burgers are amazing and massive. The chicken is the best around and I thought Broasters was before I tried this place. Chips are crispy and not greasy. I also like the pizza but I wouldn't say it competes with restaurant quality pizza. Tribeca is still the best around locally. However very good pizza.

Well what can a say....close friend of mine decided to pop in to a new takeaway we spotted while on are travels. As I came in to the shop I had nice friendly warm face asking me what I would like. After few minutes of decision making. I decided to order the Mamos Gigantic Burger. After waiting around 15 minutes to cook. I was thinking this taking a little time. I was assured the chef Adam that my meal will be with me in a couple of minutes. As my meal was being presented to me on a wooden platà by Anita. I was shocked to see how big this burger was. It was well worth the wait. The quality and quantity of the meal for £10 pound was amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone who is after an amazing burger.

I spent £5.50 for a chicken wrap meal and to be honest the chicken is more tasty than the chicken they have in KFC even when its cheaper. I will come back and recommend to all my friends.

Had the peri peri beef burger a number of times now and can't get enough. It is enormous, and comes with your choice of spice, salad and a delicious brioche style bun. This is twice the size of anything you would get at Mcdonalds/Burger King, is of higher quality and costs far less than the more upmarket chains (FiveGuys, Byron Burger etc) at only a fiver with a good portion of fries and a drink. Chicken strips are also delicious and excellent value for money. Can get very busy on Fridays/Saturdays but well worth the wait. Would recommend to anybody.

Great value for money and also the flavours are just amazing .. I have been here twice now and each time I was satisfied. I got the perriperri chicken with chips and my friend got the chicken cheese burger both just gorgeous . 10/10

I walked into the resturant and saw a customer eating a burger and it really looked very nice so I thought that I should try it and you never beleive how nice and tasty it is.Well done Mamo's team.

I went there few days ago, had the falafel wrap and fries. Just loooved it. Was freshly prepared Recommend it to all who wanna have a great lunch in town.

The first and the best 20" pizza I had ever had in Liverpool, honestly absolutely deleshious.I will recommend this place to all my friends and people who I know.

Firstly I'm not really a pizza lover but i ordered a pizza with bbq base and it was AMAZING so so tasty, hot and fresh! Secondly the chicken wraps are also a must they're so tasty and well worth the money! The customer service was brilliant and I will keep coming back!!

Cant understand all the negative reviews! We have been here more than half a dozen times and have always received good service and lovely piping hot food. Chicken cooked perfectly and the sauces are always tasty. We have never had a delivery so cant comment on that service. Its my sons number one choice for a quick tea... he always has a peri-peri chicken wrap with salad and its always huge with no need for any sides. Would defo recommend to anyone who likes chicken!

I went for the first time two nights ago and ordered the signature burger and chips. As well as having to wait forever in a half empty shop the people working there seemed more interested in my money then in good manners. The burger was bigger than expected I finished it off and went home and thought I was bloated as I'd eaten to much. A couple of hours later I felt really unwell and couldn't control my bowels. I was constantly for the next couple of hours running to the toilet and all of my number two's were pure liquid. I felt more and more sick and this continued into the night. I decided to go to bed I woke up two hours later and bolted for the toilet in the next two minutes I vomited six times and I've honestly never felt worse. The next hour or so I kept having to go for more liquid number two's and then I got back to sleep. I woke up two hours later and once again started vomiting heavily. This happened for times in the next ten minutes. The next day I was totally wiped out of any energy I had and it was a major effort to function and couldn't stomach any food exept two bannanas. My first and last visit here I've rang up and reported this to the environmental health and I'm absolutely furious that places like this clearly couldn't care less about basic food hygiene. I also had to visit the walk in centre.

Me and my girlfriend frequent the Bold Street location of Mamo's and usually love the food, especially after a night out although last night when we got home and started to put the food onto plates we found around four hairs in the chips and it's just really put me off the place. If they sort out the hair problem id probably go back.

Placed order, advised 25 minutes, what felt like an age later the food was ready(but very late). Awful customer service from the man taking the order over the phone, and even worse in person the young girl on the till should be running the show as very friendly. Normally a big fan of going here but today it was atrocious, and the two token pieces of lettuce on the burger does not constitute a salad. Tempted to never return.

Used to be a great takeaway, tasty and at a good price. Recently prices have gone up and up every time I visit and staff are often quite unfriendly. Now has become a very expensive visit and I don't think I will be visiting again. At least this time I actually got given my change for once...

I have ordered a burger on the week end and the person with the glasses gave me my change and a pice of papar with his number on it !!! ( Mr Cazanova ).......unbelievable

I visited this take away on Sunday Night and placed an order. I was initially charged £1 more than on the board. This was the case with other customers in the shop at this time. I waited 30mins for the pizza ordered and still there was no food. I asked how long would it take. I was told that my pizza had been burned and had to be remade. I asked why I had not been told that the pizza had been burned no explanation was forthcoming. The manager justified the timescale taken by telling me that they only have one oven/ grill in which they can/could cook the pizza.POOREST SERVICE EVER

located over the hill from the train station.this place is spotless, very clean.you can eat on the premises or take food home.the veggie pizza is very nice and good quality fries with peri peri topping.they have a children menu too.

I work in town and this is the best place for food!! Best food place on bold street -- get yourselves, there get full up, amazing food for good value! Friendly too! Keep it up!

Love the pizza deal from here, massive pizza, garlic bread, chicken strips and drinks. We order extra fries for our family of 4 too and we can never finish it all. I don't understand the comments about the pizza, it's delicious, more like a restaurant style than a take away.

Just checked the website for a delivery order and it states on their own website "free delivery up to 3 miles and £1 per mile over"We live 4.6 miles away so thought it would be fine but as soon as I gave my post code the VERY RUDE STAFF MEMBERS said that we lived too far for delivery???So I pointed out what it stated on the website about the extra £1 ever mile over the 3 miles charge, I was rudely told it was too far away and goodbye then she hung up. So I'm now glad I didn't give them my hard earned cash and I will never try again.Their loss
