We had a meal here Saturday evening. Lovely Mushroom starter, great Pizzas and a drink each £46 including 10% charge. Good value, slightly let down by the bread with the starter but overall very good.

We had a great evening at the restaurant. Staff and owner where very attentive combined with great authentic Italian food excellent choice. Pizza and pasta was excellent.

Lovely place, touch more expensive than I think it should, décor should be a bit more upmarket. Having said that I will still go back as food good. Shame it closes so early . Staff helpful and nice

A wonderful meal. Waiting staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was obviously made with love! We were on holiday, so unfortunately we can’t make it a regular visit .

Brilliant Italian restaurant….return visit and was just as good. The food is fresh & delicious. The staff were lovely. Always seems to be busy which proves how popular it is.

We had a very nice meal here on a Saturday night. The service was generally good but when the bill came they charged us 10% service. I asked if this was clear on the menu (there were only 4 of us so it wasn’t a group thing). As I asked the question the waitress got really stroppy with us and said that the service charge was only charged at weekends because of the difficulty with finding staff. We pointed out that they still needed to make this clear and their staffing issues were their problem, not ours as customers. She then went off on a big rant at us - I said she was rude - she said I was rude blah, blah… It was such a shame as we enjoyed our meal. So watch out!! I checked and you don’t have to pay a service charge if it’s not made clear when you order …

Found this by accident and this was a really nice surprise. Good food, friendly atmosphere and good value. What not to like!

A clean friendly “basic” Italian eatery. Good service, limited menu, good “home cooked “ food. Effectively pasta or pizza - no grilled fish or meats or fresh vegetables. No soups. Just about a “ reasonable price” .

When we walked in with a pram the server looked instantly like we were an inconvenience. Rolled her eyes at us not having a reservation despite it being pretty quiet. Service from her was really just poor. Rude, grumpy, barely looked at us. At one point the chef came out to give us our bill and he was pleasant. The 'kids portion' for our 3 year old was £3 cheaper than the adult portion and to be fair WAY more than it needed to be. (Spaghetti and meatballs was 10.50 for kids potion.) Generally a let down to be honest. Food was ok. My penne aribiatta was definitely best thing we got.

We were early diners, just a few people in when we arrived. Friendly welcome from the staff. Very pleased with our meal choices. Would come again if in the area.

It looks a bit run down here but the food was good. The kids had pizza and the pasta dishes were nice. It was a bit of a wait on food and the drinks weren’t cold / kept in the fridge. But the food we had was tasty and the portion sizes were big.

What a great little place Mamma Mia is! A wonderful independently run restaurant just off the seafront. A great menu and all freshly prepared. Every dish we had was delicious! Best Lasagne I have tasted! Our waitresses were fantastic and looked after us very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we will definitely be back! A little gem of a place! Was met by a rather rude waitress who was argumentative when it came to ordering the food. We were trying to relax not have an argument!!. and she was chewing gum. I found the food quite bland. Probably won't return anytime soon

We were greeted with a scowl by one of the waitresses, advised we had a reservation and advised name, she pointed to a table and walked off. Less than a minute after sitting down she returned to ask if we were ready to order, when we said could we have a couple of minutes she rolled her eyes and walked off, at this stage there were only 2 other tables with diners. The food was lovely and the young new waitress was very attentive. I probably wouldn’t return.

This is our favourite Italian restaurant, so good I try a different dish every time and they are always amazing, never disappoints, will be back again very soon

We went here for a family meal with 2 young children whilst visiting the area. The service was excellent & staff were friendly. We had an amazing authentic Italian meal…..wished we lived more locally to eat here again. I enjoyed the wine too. Thanks for a great meal xx

This is one of our favourite restaurants, we have been coming to Mama Mia for many years and it is one of the few things in life that hasn't changed. We just love the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, combined with superb Italian food, served by really friendly and helpful staff. Although it is well known to locals, anyone visiting Bognor Regis for their holidays should make a special point of visiting this superb restaurant. they won'y be disappointed.

Just back from a lovely visit to Manmma Mia this evening to celebrate husbands birthday. Lovely food, prompt and courteous service, very reasonably priced and a lovely homely atmosphere. I recommend that everyone give this restaurant a try - rest assured, we will be back very soon.

Service was slow - it took 45 minutes after ordering for the food to actually arrive. Service was incompetent because we had to attract the waitress over to take the order in the first place. The food was of lower quality than we expected (my pizza was slightly burnt).Staff were harried and totally stressed out - we could see them all the time - shouting at each other and looking like everything was too much for them.There were only about seven tables with people at them - it wasn't exactly busy. A person was placed a few inches away from my chair behind me - which I didn't realise - so when I stood up I pushed my chair into him - jarring my back, and giving me a big shock, and I think also hurting the other man - although he was too polite to say so. This is unacceptable to position chairs so close to others. The waitress came and sat at our table AFTER they had taken our money as she did not know what a 'receipt' was when I asked for one - and I explained that I wanted to know what had actually been paid by everyone so I could leave a proper tip - to which she said she had no wish to have a tip from us, and then proceeded to make me feel quite intimidated by physically leaning across the table towards me and said that we were a 'very difficult table to serve, because we were slow at ordering'. (Some birthday!....)I highly suggest that if you do brave this restaurant then take an Italian dictionary - as they will get secretly angry if you take their time by asking them to explain Italian words!In my opinion, this restaurant should stick to being a take-away service only.Fake smiles, and no empathy for customers; it is all about the staff. We paid our money and were then ridiculed and told off in an underhand aggressive way. I am really still very upset about my experience here.

This was our second visit and I must say the food’s improved! We had pizzas and they were brilliant. Was a bit disappointed as they had no lemonade for my shandy! The service was a bit iffy - it wasn’t particularly busy but seemed a bit chaotic and we overheard the waitress (who’s a bit moody) swear at the chef! Given all that we’re going to go back - perhaps it was the heat!

Visited in June 2021. Small place with view of the kitchen. Food was cooked fresh and all in full view of us. Wonderful home cooked food, very reasonably priced. Wine also not too expensive. Friendly staff who looked after us very well. A great find and well worth a visit.

Visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and was unimpressed! Tonight, we have had two takeaway pizzas. They were both absolutely delicious! Hot, very tasty and cooked to perfection! Visited here with my wife and some family. The food was not much above average. The restaurant seemed a bit dull and quite cold. I had spaghetti bolognaise as my starter and found it very bland. Far too tomatoey for my liking. Calzone was my main which was better than my starter although not the best I’ve had. It seems like a very traditional Italian with no doubt Italian owners but it didn’t live up to the quality of food you get in Italy.

Enjoyed our take away just as much as eating in!! Pizza’s are insanely good I just really need to try and stop having the same njuda sausage one (but it’s soooooo good!) thanks guys for being awesome xxx

Even in these dreadful corona times there is no need to go without a superb Italian meal. We have been using Mama Mia takeaway service since the corona lock downs first started in March, and now with the latest one we are continuing to use it. The food is absolutely fabulous, a freshly cooked Italian meal without leaving your home other than to collect it which we do not mind. We would normally visit a Restaurant once a month, so until these restrictions end the Restaurant visits us. We cannot recommend Mama Mia enough, it has provided a small chink of light during this depressing period and gives us something to look forward to. We normally have a pasta dish and salad with Garlic cooked mushrooms which are fantastic and my particular favourite the Gamberi con Tabasco which is king prawns with spinach and a wonderful Tabasco sauce. We look forward to our next take away and perhaps one day we can actually return to the restaurant, who knows ?

We eat there regularly when we can't be bothered to cook at home. Good range of pasta dishes. Pizza if you want pizza. Waiting staff look after us well. Friendly atmosphere. Recommended.

We ordered over the phone for takeaway pizzas.All the pizzas were great, but we did order garlic bread too & they added a couple of slices to every pizza box, which was a bit annoying as 2 members of our family cannot eat garlic - we had to rescue it quickly!

We had the joy of attending a wedding meal here. The food was terrific, with delicious melon and Parma ham for starters, a great salad for the main - huge portions - and excellent tiramisu for dessert. There was a good selection of wines and it all added Tina happy, memorable occasion. Thanks to all concerned.

Our first 'indoor experience' during the pandemic and all was fine! The food was absolutely delicious, staff were friendly and efficient and we had a great time. One of the best lasagnes my husband has had for a long time! Felt totally safe throughout the time we were there.

We have had take aways fro here three times now and each time it’s been delicious. Food of a very high standard and everything we’ve had has been delicious. We’ve had various of the pizza and pasta dishes and haven’t been disappointed by anything. Thoroughly recommend & I’m sure we will be eating in, in the future.

Since lock down we can't visit our favourite Restaurant, so have had take always instead. These have all been superb, with freshly cooked food from their normal menu we have never been disappointed and would highly recommend. Food is fabulous and all cooked and served by very friendly people.

In these difficult times with the corona virus, Mama Mia has been a godsend, if we can't go out to a Restaurant then we bring Mama Mia to us via there fabulous take away service. The food is always superb when we normally visit, and a take away is no different absolutely excellent. We have kept to our normal tried and tested favourites but have added a different dish each time to experiment, and have never been disappointed. We make it a special occasion with a nicely laid out table to make up for not going out. We usually have for a main dish the Farfalle Royal and the Fungi All Aglio which is a pasta, chicken & mushroom dish along with superb fried mushrooms plus our added mystery selection. Last night we had Farfalle Alla Bogcaiola again a pasta dish but with mushrooms and sausage and it was fabulous, the biggest problem we are now having is deciding what to order as we like so many different items. If we can't visit the Restaurant then Mama Mia visits us and is most welcome, we would thoroughly recommend the take away service with excellent freshly cooked food, prepared and served by very friendly staff.

Everything is cooked to order, so if you are looking for fast food, go elsewhere! If however you want a glorious Italian taste experience in Bognor this is the place to go, but you will need to book .

Pasta and Pizza orientated menu with good simple dishes freshly cooked and presented. One is transported back to a small local eatery in Italy, with this pleasant little eatery, with good quality food and its unpretentious nature.

First visit to Mamma Mias. Felt cold and no atmosphere on entering. Waitress came over promptly to seat us and give us menus. 2 minutes later asking for drink and food order. Ordered drinks and perused menu, looked nice.Decided on mix of starters which were served within 5 minutes of ordering! Rather quick.^mushroom^ with goats cheese, trio of bread with goats cheese, salad and *garlic* bread. Aubergine bake.Goats cheese was the smallest thinnest pieces I'd ever seen in a restaurant, very strong and disappointing. Trio of bread ok, small cheese again, nothing special, salad fresh.Aubergine dish, aubergines hardly cooked, not much flavour overall. No comparison to other Italians we've been to, wasn't even red hot like it should be.Maybe, as dishes were served so quick, they were already in the fridge or half cooked and not really ready.Dessert, I wanted tiramisu, they didnt have any! They weren't even busy and what Italian restaurant on a Friday night hasn't made enough?Chocolate bomb shop bought, far too much and nothing special. Cheesecake portion was very small, shocked as thought my friend had ordered half portion!Not the best meal, it looked ok but overall nothing special.To end the evening: The staff and restaurant were obviously wanting to close as they opened the door, freezing, washing outside, bringing sign in, shutting kitchen, giving us the bill which we hadn't asked for. It was only 950pm! What a way to get rid of customers.Didn't get chance to say anything as friend was paying and staff cleaning up and closing.Sorry but won't return in a hurry. Shame as reviews seem ok.

The menu may only encompass the basics of Italian cuisine but with the ability to mix and match pasta and sauce etc it is easy for everyone to find a favourite. And if course the Pizza's are stunning!

Visited Mama Mia on many occasions. Small family run restaurant with authentic Italian food made to order. Best lasagne anywhere. Very friendly staff and great value for money. No need to book and they do a takeaway service. .

First time eating here and quite impressed. More Naples than Milan so more pasta and pizza dishes than anything else but good wholesome eating. Obviously very popular with local people and folks were getting turned away. How many places would love to be in that position! Parking seems to be a bit scarce but a bit of a walk is good for the appetite, right?

It was meant to be a ruby wedding anniversary celebration with friends, but ended up being a bitter disappointment following the worst service we have experienced. I made the booking weeks ago and followed it up with a visit to the restaurant two days before. My friend is partially sited so I wanted to ensure we had the table by the window where it was bright.

Came here with a friend recently and absolutely loved our visit! We were promptly shown to a table and drinks taken straight away. Service was second to none. The lady and the chef we saw were lovely and couldn’t do more for us. The food —. I had a calzone and asked for fresh chillis to be put in and it was no hassle atall. When it arrived it was piping hot and tasted amazing! You definitely need to try this Italian if you haven’t already!

Was in Bognor for Goodwood FOS and of course needed evening sustenance. This place was close by with good reviews so gave it a try. It was quite simply superb with the food freshly cooked and with great flavour. So good that we went back on the Saturday night but that was not quite so good because they were so busy.
