Me and my wife used to be fairly regular patrons here and then weren't able to go as much, but we managed to go this month for the first time in a long time. Still some of the best food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Great service too from start to finish. Truthfully, this would have been a 5 star review but the menu has had so much removed from it and personally I know found it slightly limited. But what they do have is the best Italian food around.

Fantastic fillet steak and peppercorn sauce. Lovely baked potatoes. Great service too Top restaurant, i can’t wait to go again!

We happened to be in Rustington and stumbled across this gem of an Italian. We popped in for lunch. We were warmly greeted by a lovely friendly gentleman (possibly owner/manager). Sat down and served quickly. Few people in for midweek lunch. The food was beautiful and what I think was truly lovely Italian food. One of us had the 2 course lunch special. Main course size was small but you have to allow for that due to lunch special price, but i could have easily have ate maybe double the size. Pasta cooked perfectly and carbonara cooked the "proper" way. Simple, hearty food with great staff and excellent service. We are over an hour away from the restaurant but will definitely go back.

I’ve been visiting here for years and always forget to review. Such a lovely accommodating place. Food is always mouthwatering with that real Italian flavour, and service is genuine without being pretentious or overbearing. Couldn’t be happier that we have this lovely Restaurant on our doorstep!

Myself and my niece had not been here before so we thought we would book a lunch there. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and although when we arrived there were only a few people there, we were all spaced out table-wise so you didnt feel on top of anyone. We both ordered the deep fried mozarella for starters. To be honest, we could have just shared one as it was enormous but it was very tasty. We then went onto order the carbonara and the linguine with clams for our mains. Both dishes were absolutely wonderful and so tasty. Staff were attentive but not overbearing. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning!

Impeccable service, so obviously clean and fresh, beautiful restaurant and the chef even made me something that wasn’t on the menu with no hesitation, one of or if not the best risotto in Worthing ! Definitely recommend!!

Great service to go with an excellent meal, well presented in a relaxed atmosphere, we all enjoyed our first visit, well recommended.

We have visited the restaurant many times and the consistency is very good. However, this particular occasion was tainted slightly. Our main courses were in general very good, however, my lasagne portion size was sadly very small compared to all the other dishes. It was however, very tasty. The garlic breads re delicious. We have deserts which were very nice indeed but the coffee’s were very milky and therefore tasted weak, the cups were too big for the amount of coffee used. The atmosphere was good and the staff were generally very accommodating. The food is very tasty and the restaurant is well worth a visit.

I was there that night and had a fantastic meal apart from one large table they were so loud other customers were leaving because of them.They were asked to keep the noise down politely they reacted in a very bad manner and caused a scene I can only praise the staff in the friendly and professional way they dealt with the situation. Once again I thank La Cucina in a fantastic meal and felt sorry for you having to deal with people like that that have no respect for anyone else

Four of us ordered different meals, we all loved the food, it was all perfectly cooked and presented. Staff were very friendly and service was fantastic, we would eat here again if in the area. We could not fault La Cucina and recommend you try it for your selves.

Absolutely horrendous. Have been coming to this restaurant for many years and have not had a bad experience until last night. Food was either soggy, dry or flavourless. Owner told us he was better than us and didn’t need our money after asking us, in a rude manner, to keep the noise down (we were not being too loud or impolite) simply enjoying our evening. He caused a huge fuss in front of the restaurant and I’m sure ruined other customers dining experience. Not only that, he acted differently around a member of my family who is from a Nigerian background, for example by pouring drinks for everyone else except him. If I could give the experience a 0 out of 5 starts I would.

Booked last minute so had to settle for a very early sitting was worth it - the food was amazing 10/10 and was especially surprised by the lovely Italian Sauvignon Blanc wine / was very nice And finally / the staff get 12/12 - very good without being over the top intrusive but being very professional HIGHLY recommend

Went with friends and had a lovely lunch - best pizza we have ever had in UK. It was on the special board - meat feast and we all said how good it was. The service was very good and very friendly and we look forward to returning soon.

Dissapointing! The Panco prawn starter, overcooked. My husbands fish, nicely presented but tasteles. My Lasagne was burnt on top-I could not cut it and it was just covered in cheese, and probably hoping I wouldn't notice, and the meet was non-existent. We were asked, how your meal, I said OK. After a hard day I was not getting into a debate, and chef should not have let it leave the kitchen. We will not be returning.

Last visit was below par so I was hesitant to book again but decided to give it a try. Omg what a difference the food was amazing! The Burrata is absolutely delicious and one of the best I’ve ever had. The fillet steak was cooked to perfection and could be cut with a butter knife. Service was also impeccable. I will definitely be back.

We’ve always enjoyed great food here, so we decided to get a takeaway this time. I’m pleased to say that we weren’t disappointed - always a smile and a warm welcome from the staff. The food was delicious.

Normally, when we go, it would be 5 stars across the board. This time, I was very disappointed. I had the pork special, £21 Dry over cooked & no flavour. Breadcrumb coating was too thick. My wife had the pasta from the special board, nice dish, creamy but again no flavour. My son had the pizza, which he found very flavoursome. Maybe I should have said something, but I don't like to make a fuss.

We absolutely love going for a meal at La Cucina. The service and food is always impeccable and the family are charming. This is a beautifully run family business.

Genuinely one of the nicest places I've eaten ever. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, engaging at the right times and helping with advice and making elthe evening a happy one. Food was really really good quality and competitively priced, we all came away surprised at how reasonable the bill was compared to the top quality meal we had just had. EDIT: After a revisit can confirm as genuinely one of my fave places to eat, and somewhere I'd take someone I wanted to impress. Incredible food, attentive well mannered staff, good prices, good portions. Nothing to improve on in my opinion.

We booked for lunch today for our friend’s birthday. I must say it was a very enjoyable experience from start to finish. The service was friendly and attentive but not overpowering and all three courses were excellent, cooked well and very tasty. We shall certainly try to go again when we are in the area visiting our friend

Buzzy atmosphere and good service but very underwhelmed by the food. Crayfish and avocado starter was mainly a huge chunk of iceberg lettuce. Main course, chicken was very well cooked but sauce was totally tasteless. No potatoes or vegetables which have to be ordered at an extra cost. Perhaps they should stick to pasta and pizza which they do quite well.

Service and food was outstanding, excellent ambiance. The service and food is always 1st class, always such a warm welcome. Can't wait to return ☆☆☆☆☆

We booked dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was quite busy, but the owner and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. The crayfish starter was very good and beautifully presented. The main course lasagne, which we had both chosen, was simply the best we have ever had. We are not wine experts, so we ordered a bottle of Dega Montepulciano d’Abruzzo on the recommendation of the owner. This was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Although we live over 40 miles away we will be back with the family in the coming months.

La Cucina was always my favourite Italian when I was a bit younger, and after returning after a year it is still just as good as I remember! I went here with my mum a few weeks ago and we were greeted very promptly by the owner. He offered to take our coats and he was very welcoming. I ordered Carbonara which was cooked perfectly (as far as i’m aware it’s traditional too!) and it had tonnes of flavour. My mum ordered crab pasta and she was impressed as well. The owner always checked up on us to see if we were ok, and at the end he even helped us out our coats back on! Cannot wait to return here.

First time eating here...Great service, nice restaurant and good prices. For us the food was OK, not the best Italian I've ever had but maybe we chose the wrong dishes. Pizza was soggy, prefer a crisper taste. Puddings were delicious though.

Our first visit to La Cucina, a warm welcome from the owner. Seems like a well established restaurant. Good choice of starters, fish, meat, pasta, pizza. I had Bream and my wife had a pasta, both very nice. Tiramisu was excellent. 2/3 full at 8pm.

First time here. Lunch was excellent, the sea bass fish of the day was very, very, tasty. Hopefully back again soon.

The best Italian I have ever been to. The food was incredible and the service was excellent. It was such a friendly place. We would 100% recommend this place and can't wait to go back for more of their beautiful food.

Last night my wife and I went to La Cucina as it was her birthday. We have been there before and have had good service and food. We were greeted by a young waiter who was polite and showed us to our seat and brought a menu. Shortly afterwards, an Italian waiter / owner (?) came and very briskly asked us what we wanted to drink. My wife queried something on the menu which he replied to very abruptly and we then ordered two large (250ml) glasses of red wine and two pizzas. These were brought – one had more wine in than the other and neither looked to be 250ml. Still, we let that pass. The pizzas arrived and we found the cheese to be really quite greasy and the olives did not have any taste. I ate most of mine (I was hungry) but my wife left half of hers as they were not very nice at all. No-one came during our meal to ask if everything was OK with the meal. When the Italian waiter arrived to take out plates away, my wife commented that the pizza was not very nice and, unusually, had no tomato on the base. He became quite agitated and pointed out that the menu did not say it had a tomato base. She commented on the cheese and his response was “if you don’t like my pizzas you should go somewhere else next time”. He then stormed off. My wife went to the counter and told him he was being extremely rude to which he replied “I don’t want your money you can go” and waved his arms around. We therefore left without paying. We will not be returning and it is highly likely that friends of ours who have been there before may decide to give it a miss after hearing of our experience.

Great service, friendly staff and the food was excellent. Food came out on time but didn’t feel rushed. All seven of us went home full and satisfied

I took a friend to La Cucina, in Rustington. The food was excellent, so tasty and delicious. The deserts were exceptional and even the coffee was good, despite being decaffeinated. The staff were very attentive, very helpful and friendly. We can thoroughly recommend them for a delicious meal and great service. Well done all.

Great little Italian, really friendly service great food

This is a very nice restaurant, friendly staff and good food.

We had never been to eat here, which is poor on our part. After experiencing the tasty mains, we will be returning…. My granddaughter asked for spaghetti carbonara which was not on the menu. The waitress said this was of course acceptable. My husband had one of the specials and I had risotto. Beautifully presented, piping hot and good portions. The staff were friendly and attentive and the place was busy for midweek. Always a good sign of a popular place. Thank you, we had a lovely visit.

We dropped by on the off chance of being able to get a table for four. The Manager (possibly owner), was extremely accommodating and worked a table for for us if we could be in and out in 90 minutes. That was fine with us as two of us had to drive home 2/3 hours that evening. The service was excellent, faultless to be fair. The food arrived fresh and perfectly cooked. If you are in the area Worthing, Arundel or nearby visit this restaurant you will not be disappointed. My only regret is the family haven’t got a restaurant in Towcester Northants

Just popped in for lunch. Rainy windy horrible day. Lovely smell as you enter making you feel hungry. Staff were so friendly and the food amazing. Almost full restaurant on such a horrible day must be the sign of a good one. I had four cheese pizza which was lovely and husband had lasagne and we shared a lovely dressed salad. Perfect. Enjoyed the experience, food, and atmosphere. Will go again. A little noisey could do with some acoustic softening as sound bounces off hard surfaces apart from that. I loved it.

Although not a real authentic Italian restaurant with the food to match, it was a nice enough experience. The owner and staff were pleasant enough and the bill reflected the current economic state. I suggest eating in Italy first then comparing. You’d then understand what I mean. By the way, my late father in law was a superb Sicilian chef so I was spoiled for so many years.

Bruschetta was great but disappointed with our pizzas which were black/burnt on the base which on complaining we were assured was normal and fine. Not my previous experience.

Massive fan of La Cucina. The food is excellent, especially the pizzas (most have white sauce on the menu, but you can ask for tomato instead). The biggest shout-out has to go to the owner and maître d'. He has phenomenal customer service, and he is passionate about running an excellent business.

Best Mediterranean food in Westwood Los Angeles. I love their Halibut with Angel Hair Pasta. Amazing fresh treat, also the desert, and Capuchino, lovely setting and service!

This is the first time that I have eaten here and I wasn’t impressed at all. The menu was limited and I think lacked imagination. 2 of us ordered the Bruschetta, mine came out black and burnt, no basil, way too much garlic and was awful. They were too busy to catch to ask for another. When they took my barely touched plate didnt even ask if was ok. The pizza I ordered was charred in places, but that answered the question as to why I got a steak knife to eat it with! 6 of us ordered Tiramisu, 4 were full servings and the last 2 looked like they should be on the kid’s menu. Even the coffee let them down. There were 8 of us, 92% of us being Italian for an 80th birthday, the bill well over £300, I will not be returning

Came here with friends the other evening. The food was amazing, couldn’t really fault a thing. Staff excellent and there was a good atmosphere in the place. We finished with a coffee and it was great! There were 8 of us in total and we were all very very pleased. Would return 100%!!

Absolutely stunning place, staff are very accommodating to dietary needs made a gluten free pasta, with extra bits as wanted, absolutely stunning. For starters I had one of the specials of the day, Ox-Cheek (with watermelon & mint) it was absolutely outstanding, full of flavour just top top. For my main meal, I wanted to go for the lasagne but opted for a steak pasta in order to try something new, it was nice but I think I would have preferred the lasagna. It also had a bit of a spice kick. We were visiting from London for a short weekend, and this place was recommended to us. If I’m ever down there again I would definitely go back. Portion sizes are good leaves you full. £25-30 per person

One of the tastiest meals we have ever had. Paccheri beef was so fu of flavour - spoon is essential to get all the gravy finished.
