We are very well disposed towards the Crocadon project and the restaurant in particular but we’d also been wanting to use and experience Mamm cafe which operates in the central farm yard and serves from the adjacent buildings including the bakery etc. We were in the area today, but despite having failed to find days and times on the internet, erroneously believed that it was open on a Wednesday. We assumed the worst in the empty car park but I wandered round into the perfect warm outdoor setting of the yard and eventually found an unlocked door into the restaurant where a clutch of chefs were busily involved in varying food prep tasks and I was told that the cafe is open weekly from Thursday until Saturday or Sunday, from I think 10am until 3pm. We will be back within the next few days. I wish there was reference to the cafe on the signs back up at the turning from the A388 into the lane and some detail somewhere on line and some form of of telephone contact.

Visited this café at 14:00 on the 4th August 2024. My son and I ordered a coffee and a hot chocolate. We were asked if we wanted a small or large hot chocolate; decided on small. We sat outside. The drinks arrived, after what I would consider too long a wait for a completely empty café. My sons cup had multiple sharp chips in it so I asked if he could have another cup. The waitress took the cup away, no acknowledgment of my request, no apology, absolutely nothing. My coffee was luke warm and also in a chipped cup, which looked to have been glued back together. We decided to give it a miss and get a refund. We went back inside to request a refund. I said my coffee was barely warm and didn't really appreciate a cup with a chip in it. Again we had no apology and no eye contact. We would have paid £7.50 for a very small hot chocolate and a Luke warm coffee. Tad overpriced to say the least. But most importantly the customer service in the café was absolutely appalling. I don't think I received any eye contact from the staff, whilst I appreciate not everyone likes working in hospitality, manners cost nothing, and if one doesn't like what they do, perhaps they should consider a profession without human interaction. I wouldn't visit again even if the drinks were free. Such a shame, as the setting is very nice.

Well this is nice! It's a farm, on the road from St Mellions to Callington. It's signposted at the main road, and then drive about a km down the lane until you come to the farm. Converted farm buildings round a nice courtyard. We sat outside under an open sided barn roof. Nice espresso, albeit not in a proper tiny cup. Fizzy water and a flapjack £6. I went back for another visit and there was my tiny cup... There's a farm shop and a restaurant too, though I didn't look in. I think that the restaurant is open in the evening

Went with friends for dinner to this delightful small restaurant run by husband Jordan (the chef) and wife Kerris (the waitress). We had an excellent evening, the meal was delicious and the service efficient and friendly. Would recommend a visit.

Had the most amazing trip for my 70th birthday. A real treat from my children. We had afternoon tea which was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the girls. Even the weather was on our side. Would have no hesitation in recommending this boat to everyone.
