The food here is wrapped up quickly so you don't really see, especially when she goes out the back. Now, I'm a mixed race woman with caribbean ancestry and I can tell you what this woman served me today was not curried chicken. It was just chicken. Her plantain was so over cooked that it was black. The rice she mixed up with jollof rice and rice and peas. The jollof is an african dish that I can't comment on as I've never had it before but the rice and peas really was just rice...and kidney beans.so disappointing!!! She said she was going to add some curry goat to my food but I refused. I should have known then that something wasn't quite right as even that looked so watery and bland. She serves it with mixed veg that you but from the shop, not even home cooked veg😳 A great example of why non carribeans should NOT cook carribean food without a carribean seal of approval. This woman is very lucky I didn't see this food until I got home. And she had the nerve to charge me almost £8 for this crap! Lots of English people seem to love her food and that's fair enough but when you know, you know. Periodt.

The smell coming from this stall is lovely and is always busy. The jerk chicken is my favourite and is served with rice, very good value at under £5. Located in the market area of Kingston you will find many food stalls serving street food with limited seating.

My mum and I have been visiting this food stool for quite a while now and it never ever fails to hit the spot. Every time we visit Kingston we have to visit you. Everything is full of flavour and absolutely out of this world. My favourites are the jerk chicken and curry goat. The patties are to die for! You’re always greeted with a smile! The prices are very reasonable. The sauces are also very good too! Hot pepper sauce is my favourite. I also tried the Guinness punch which is also wonderful! Looking forward to eating your food again soon!

The lady who runs this place is really nice and friendly and it just makes your visit so much nicer when the your served by friendly people. If you love jerk chicken, this is the place to go to!

For £4.50, the Goat curry is a very tasty lunch served with rice and peas. Not the spiciest curry but full of rich flavour. I will definitely go back.

I am no expert when it come to Caribbean food having tried jerked chicken and rice on two occasions, one from a take away near tooting and the other (killer hot) from a pop up near Waterloo. In both cases the chicken was served dry, not so at Mama Sephlyn which was in a gravy, not very spicy. Rice was bone dry, the chicken gravy helped but not a lot, the veg was tasteless - the frozen type. Overall not great. Maybe it will suit the palate of others. I am sorry I could not rate it at 4 stars, The next nearest source for Caribbean food is near Roehampton.

The food is always great, and always served with a hello and a smile! Warming jerk spices, comforting dumplings or macaroni cheese, cooling coleslaw and generous helpings make this one of my favourite places to get lunch, on my own or with friends. I love the salmon! Definitely don't miss out on this gem. The only thing missing is a daily vegetarian option, which would be great because then I could share it with even more friends :)

You have to try the delicious food from this small shack. The curry goat with rice and peas and dumpling was out of this world. The jerk chicken, chicken stew and oxtail is also fabulous. Ask for a bottle of scotch bonnet sauce to go if you like it really hot.

My favourite at Kingston Market (in England!). Delicious spicy food with rice and peas, dumplings, plantain, for a great price. She is lovely and her food is better, while if you like chilli sauce her home made is almost literally to die for. Go and enjoy the taste of the Caribbean in Kingston (upon Thames).

What a find; really nice, home cooked style Caribbean food in Kingston - that's Upon Thames not Jamaica! Eating the jerk chcken is like being in the Caribbean, especially if you ask for Loretta's special chilli sauce from the fridge. A great find and for £4 for a small portion, really good value. The best value food in Kingston?

“Smash” burger is 4 inches thick. Bhagies taste like nothing. Chips need salt. Service slow despite more staff than customers.

A busy café serving the community around Hollyfield Road, Alexandra Drive and King Charles Road in Surbiton, but principally catering to the scores of people who use the King Charles Centre, within which it is housed. It is busiest at lunchtimes, serving slices of wholesome quiche and hot soup, but it also offers the full café range of biscuits and cakes, sandwiches, filled rolls and filled jacket potatoes. Entrance is from the car park of the centre at the corner of Hollyfield and King Charles. The café fills a second purpose; it helps people of all abilities – via adult social care – to learn how to cater, learn about food hygiene and customer service. It means you get even more attention… and words of praise for the excellent work the staff do are appreciated even more! Open Mon-Fri from 9.30am to 4pm

Friday nights... Snobby rude staff. No need really. Sadly Saturday nights are no better. The staff are entirely indignant unless you have a short skirt and fake tan. Shame. This place used to be good, but it's let down by abysmal service

The food was delicious and excellent value for money, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We spilt a drink by accident and they were quick to help us. Volvemos con amigos, ¡seguro! Gracias 🙏
