You people who moan about Malvern road fish and chips wanna go elsewhere there's nothing wrong with there food at all I go there quite often and being 20 years in the hotel trade cheffing I will say the food in Malvern road fish and chip shop is the best in Bournemouth for its quality and quantity

Always freshly cooked and delicious, good size portions. We wouldn't get fish & chips anywhere else, there is a reason you have to queue, its so good! Service is quick, obviously depending on how busy they are, and its great value for money. Highly recommended.

Always outstanding, such good quality of food, excellent value for money- only complaint is the ques are getting longer and longer! Well worth the wait!!

We ordered before arriving on a Saturday night for pickup at 5pm. Arrived and order was dished up immediately. Got home and the food was delicious! Fresh oil, perfect! Best fish and chips in the area.

We've been coming here for years, I often give a quick ring to make sure they have large haddock in stock! Big portions and always pleasant tasting food. Always great for a quick visit on the way home! :)

Best chips I have tasted for a long time…crisp, soft inside and not greasy…would definitely recommend. The staff very very friendly too. Not been here before, but next time I am over that side of town will be returning.

Had fish and chips here last Friday but very disappointing. Ordered beforehand but not ready for at least 15 minutes after time stated for collection. The lady who served us needs a bit of customer relations coaching as so snappy and miserable. We ordered cod but definitely didn’t taste like ‘cod’. It was very dry and had no taste to it. There were about 3/4 mouthfuls of fish and the rest was greasy batter. The chips were so greasy we couldn’t eat them. What a waste of £13 !!!!!! Obviously won’t return or recommend

Good Evening. I recently visited this establishment for my weekly fish and chips, I am the best fish and chips connoisseur in the United Kingdom so I regularly eat fish and chips. I received my fish and chips 20 minutes after waiting because some fat cu.nt infront of me ordered 10 fish and chips, he claimed he was the fish and chips connoisseur in Bournemouth (doubt) After having an good old punch up with him i finally received my fish and chips, they were scrumptious and the chef called me 'bossman' 10/10 for taste although the fat cu.nt ruined it so I'm giving this a 8/10. Good Day.

Thsi is the best fisheries ever everyoen is polite the food is freshley cooked u dont have to wait hours to get your food the most u will wait is ten minutes I HIGHLY recomed it beacuse its my local chippy,so if u ever want freshley cooked fish and chips come down to malver fisheries BH9 3AF 👍👍👍

We have been visiting this fish and chip shop for at least 10 years despite it not always being our local one. Great food every time. Cod and chips are fantastic but so are all of the other amazing meals available. Great service, good portion sizes and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend it!

We were recommended to this place so tried this evening 4.9.20. Whilst it was really busy the staff made sure customers were served quickly & the short wait was worth it.Lovely cooked standard size cod (which was huge) with a light batter & really good chips!We will be going back! Fui por recomendación de un compañero de trabajo, había estado en los percebes cercanos pero no me impresionó.El Malvern: magnífico abadejo grande y blanco en una masa crujiente: ¡5 de 5! Chips buenos pero 4 de 5, podrían ser más crujientes. Porciones masivas: ¡luché por comerlo todo! Un precio muy razonable también alrededor de 7. 50. El dueño era muy amable y conversador. Sin duda volveremos.

Always buy fish and chips from here and here alone. Good value, great portions, friendly staff. The only downside, is be prepared for a wait as the queue is often out of the door.

El papel se desintegró y tuvo que sacar todos los pedacitos de papel de la comida que se había arrancado. ¡Pescado grande pero engañoso ya que la mayor parte es rebozado! Soggy, bateador! It may be a tiny shop, with long queues, but this fish and chip shop is THE best. Cooked to order, generous portions and really friendly staff. It never fails to please.

My family love their chips...everything is cooked fresh by friendly staff...I would recommend the Hawaiian Burger - probably the only burger in the Bournemouth area which doesn't fall apart when eating!!

Staff are sullen and stare at you the whole time you are in there. Felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave. Chips are pale and very greasy, repeated on my wife for hours. Not an experience to be repeated.

No hay color. Tuve que poner en el horno para cocinar correctamente. No vamos allí. El papel estaban envueltos en estaba en pliegue. estaba completamente avergonzada

Queued for 20 mins ordered 3 portions of cod, portion of chips, curry sauce and pea fritter. Chips, sauce and pea fritter great but the cod was a huge disappointment no fish just batter...inedible !! Normally good hopefully a one off

If it fish and chips you want then look no further this is the best. It is only a small place but it is well worth queuing for. The portions are generous and the batter is perfect if my wife says it is it must be, very fussy about batter. The chips are cooked to perfection. Taste for yourself.

Usually get on saturdays for family evening wonderful hot freshly cook food fab portion size always busy but queue goes quickly as staff are very efficient . When my usual fish and chip shop was closed, my partner suggested we see if Malvern Fisheries was still there (he used to go about 20 years ago). When we pulled up outside I wasn't impressed and thought it wouldn't be any good - which just goes to show - don't judge a book by it's cover! We ordered 2 large cod and chips - just one portion would have done us both - the fish was HUGE and there was an enormous amount of chips - everything was fresh and cooked to perfection - beautiful fish and amazing chips - I will never go anywhere else now. Knocks spots of Chez Fred and SO reasonable. I have been telling everyone about this place - can highly recommend it!

We decided to try this fish n chip shop as alot of locals rave about it. Well, it was very good! We just had the usual cod n chips. There are 2 sizes, standard and large. The standard portions are huge so god knows what large are! Cod is cooked while you wait and chips are pretty good. The cod was of an excellent standard and batter very light. The only problem is that when its freshly fried and wrapped it tends to fall apart when you get it home as its sitting in its own fat, ideally it should sit for a while like all cooked meat so it can settle and dry. But really enjoyed it and gives West Way fish n chips a run for its money. Excellent value for money 3 x cod n chips less than £15.

When searching for an open Fish & Chip shop recently we decided to give Marvern Road "Chippy" a try. I remember going there as a child ( only a year or 2 ago !!!!!! ) It was always good all those years ago. Well, the takeaway we recently had was super. Lovely Fish & chips also pretty good. Huge portions (large chips was too much for 2of us) Couldn't believe it was still there after all these years. Would definitely revisit for another takeaway.

We have not experienced a better tasting fish & chips than what is sold here. Made fresh - superb quality - great portion size - chips to die for - really pleasant staff - 'Adam is a master frier!!' - that's why there is always a queue!

Best fish and chips for miles around this is our Friday night treat lots of great chips not a bag of bits and the fish .... fantastic chunky cod at its best cannot be beaten anywhere. Upon visiting seceral times, just in case I just got a bad day, I felt I had to write this review.The meal I ordered was lge cod and chips, yes the portions were generous, but who wants more of something not up to scratch. The meal was placed into paper and then a plastic bag so by the time I got home they had sweated and were mushy. The batter was not cooked, neither were the chips, but the whole thing was swimming in fat, excuse the pun, and it was the worst and most unhealthy meal ive ever had. Will definately not be going there again.

I ordered 2 cod & chips & it was all cooked fresh the pieces of fish were huge & the chips were lovely with lots to spare. Staff were friendly & good service....will I be back ? Most definitely

Bar none. Over 20 odd years and the batter is as light as ever. Portion sizes are magnificent £4:50 buys a standard cod that you will struggle to fit on a 10" plate. Don't forget this is the real national dish. Enjoy it here

I'll always travel across town past umpteen other average shops for a Malvern, always has a queue and there is a reason for this. Big portions, crispy and perfect fish. Just simply the best around. If anyone can recommend better then I'd be massively surprised.

I have been visiting this Fish and Chip restaurant for years and will travel across town just to have it. The portions are very generous, the chips just perfect and everything is cooked to order. The queues outside every single night it is open are testement to the quality of this place and its by far and above better than any other place I've tried all around town. Service is friendly and happy, they've got a kids menu if that's your thing and prices are really reasonable. The only negative point is that it isnt bigger so the queues are smaller! Try and it and I guarantee you will not be disappointed and will never go anywhere else...
