Awesome little street market with brilliant food options and cosy bars.

This mulled wine stall that appears to be part of Chez Rapha situated in front of the Cantoast at malty street market is a CON. The pictured man made me order a drink for sitting at the table outside which aren’t specified as part of this business within the old timber store, and then charged me £7.15 instead of £6.50 that was advertised in photo. When questioned, this man in the black puffer said extra 65p is tip/service fee. Then don’t advertise it as £6.50?? He didn’t even ask if I wanted to pay the extra cost and even tried to angle the scanning machine away from me. To make it worse, mulled wine tasted rubbish and I was sitting there drinking it for 5 mins max. Cantoast was good but this has marred my experience, they should make it obvious that we can’t use these tables in front of their stall. I wish I took my food away with me instead of sitting down so that I didn’t have to deal with this conman.

A place you have to visit!! You can buy food and go into bars.

Good food not too many stalls. The steak and chips was quite good. And also the sausage with leak at the Greek stall.

Really nice small market with loads of wine/beer options also nice food. we got the steak & chips, you can take the food to all the wine bars so nice. Tiny criticism is it closes early (I think 6pm)

Excellent food market!!! I got my food from the Ethiopian food stand and then ate inside one of the bars along the market. Most of the bars allow you to bring in your own food which was great since the weather was cold and a bit drizzly. I'll definitely be back!

Definitely less touristy like what many said, and it’s close by to the Borough market too! Unfortunately we came filling full already, else I did already spot a couple of menu items which caught my stomach.. Like pulled pork, toasted cheese and some duck too! It is a small stretch though, with seatings within the market and also on the entrance of it 👍🏻

Small, but good food and clean bathrooms

I was surprised that Ethiopian food seemed to have similar similarities to Korean food. It was a good experience.

Cute gem. Must do for foodies. Lots of food trucks & tiny bistros crammed into a tiny narrow lane. Recommend the duck triple cooked fries (5 GBP) & lobster roll (omg!)

Malty Street Market is one of Bermondsey's gems, I love going there for a treat. Set in a small and cosy back alley, it offers tons of delicious and varied food every weekend. Go enjoy!

The street is small but every vendor had amazing food to choose from. There's also a ton of shops that will let you bring in food from the market - great when it rains.

One of my favourite markets in London. Way less touristic than the nearby Borough market, Maltby is charming and uniquely special. Plenty of food, several good restaurants, and bars where you can bring your food from outside.

I found Maltby Street Market was okay, but I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of it per se.

A brilliant alternative to borough market, a lot less stressful and busy. Most cuisines available, lots of gluten free options. Definitely recommend the duck truck.

Small but varied food market. Cheese, bakery, fruit & veg etc alongside an assortment of street food vendors and pubs/ wine bars. Best thing is that there is plenty of tables with seating and it’s no else near as over-run with tourists as Borough Market.

Charming. Pricey. It has those London trendy vibes. The cakes looked super scrumptious. Oysters looked great. Graffiti too. It's a narrow little area and the shops along here are rather cute.

£4.80 for a reasonably good hot cross bun and doughnut. Felt like a doughnut paying that price. This was years ago so by now it must be a mortgage payment or more for a grain or badly made grub. So much for 1 a penny 2 a penny... 😅 Lots of beer brewers too for the salty sip lovers. Lots of excuses from the market saying this post isn't related to them, but it is, they are heavily overcharging.

The Beefsteaks are mad. Possibly the best steak you’ll ever eat, Chimichurri incredible, tasty chips. Spot on

Excellent range of street food stalls offering a wide range of international food. We went Ethiopian and it was sensational. We took our food into one of the bars and enjoyed it with a local craft beer. Great concept.

Great little cosy market in Bermondsey, a lot less busy than the bigger markets such as Borough but still plenty of good food options as well as plenty of seating. I got the Ethiopian mixed combo and a beef and chorizo empanada, both of which were great. Would definitely go back!

We went thinking it was a market like Camden Town and it turned out to be just 4 food trucks. It didn't help that it was raining a lot. They should look for more options separately.

2024.04.27//Small and cozy food market, stretch between railway arches with international street food stands, not too crowded on a Saturday morning. The vendors were very friendly compared to Borough Market. It was definitely a great spot to mixed from two stalls: perfectly cooked Duck Fat Chips (Triple Cooked) with a lemon mayonnaise from DUCK FRITES and a cheesy sandwich from GRILLED CHEESE TOASTIES.

Great little market with wonderful street food from all over the world.

A must visit when in the London Bridge area. It is a less busy market compared to Borough Market so it is perfect to avoid the crowds. There are a range of boutiques, street foot stalls and bars. There is also a brewery close by so you are spoilt for choice when visiting this small stretch of railway arches. Definitely make the effort visit, it’s worth the walk.

Fun, not too busy, just the right selection of food from different cultures to make me and my Chilean wife happy. We mixed and matched from two stalls and then sat down outside one of the arch restaurants, ordered wine and cheese and loved the food and atmosphere

A smallish food market with a great variety of food and drink options. A hidden gem, where you can find delicious food made with organic ingredients, oysters, coffee, pastries, and products to go such as jamon, cheese, wine and dessert. A variety of vendors showcasing cuisines from Spain, England, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Italy, Fance, and others. Worth going back to try different things.

Great street food on Saturdays and Sundays

Smaller food market with some of the best meals you can eat at a market anywhere in London. Not too crowded, steps from the beer mile(if that is your thing) and also inhabited by shops within the market area. A regular Sunday stop for me when I’m in London!

Fantastic atmospheric street market hidden down a small passageway near the railway arches - well worth seeking out for a great choice of food vendors. We had the duck with duck fat chips and raclette cheese! Wonderful place and well worth seeking out.
