Have been using the cafe for quite a while, usually good standard. Today however, was poor, prices have increased, but standards have dropped, poorly cooked food. Over cooked chips, black bacon from dirty griddle, cold scrambled egg and mushrooms. Shame as staff are friendly.

Due to recent staff changes and price hikes this is no longer my eatery of choice. The friendly atmosphere is gone. There used to be an excellent rapport between staff and customers. That disappeared when Mary, Marilyn and Rose left.

Arrived at 2.15pm for lunch with 4 year old to be told they stop serving lunch at 2.30 (fine by us as we were there well before) and when placed order they refused to do it as it was for a kids chicken nuggets. Asked if they had any cold kids options and was told no. Child left in tears.

A coach of 45 WI members stopped here on our way to Highgrove for refreshments and we are so glad we did. The service was excellent (extra staff to meet our needs), the refreshments varied and well cooked and and plenty of room to sit down. In all, it was a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended

We have been visiting this cafe since before lockdown and have always been very happy with the various meals, snacks and drinks that we've had there. Meals are freshly prepared and nicely served in a clean and pleasant environment. The staff are friendly and professional and are always ready to help. Very good value for money. Well worth a visit.

We had a lovely full “garden” breakfast. Everything was piping hot. Marilyn ( I think ) brought us our breakfast and helped move another table so we had more room for the three of us ! The breakfast was a traditional, well cooked big plate of full English ( there is a larger version too - but this one was more than enough! ) Rose ( the other lady -unless I’ve got their names the wrong way round) and Matthew ( the cook) also deserve an honourable mention. Thanks for a lovely breakfast for me, my daughter and niece before we drive on south.

Decided to have lunch as we were in the garden centre, good value, ample portions, rhubarb crumble was excellent with plenty of rhubarb. As previous reviewer has mentioned there is a question mark over hygienic standards as garden centre staff were in and out of the kitchen whilst we were there. But I must say the meal was good value and hot and enjoyable.

Called here on the way to visit a friend nearby. We bought 2 chocolate large rice crispy cakes. They were really good and I noticed a really good old fashioned on display menu there which certainly appeals! .If I lived locally would visit often!

It might not at first glance look like a great cafe / restaurant, but don't let that put you off. The breakfasts (served all day) are amazing and good value too.

Like all of the staff in this Garden Centre the staff in the Cafe are friendly and helpful. The food is fine - nothing amazing but it does the trick. The decor in the cafe is spartan but serviceable. Overall I would say that if you are in the garden centre and were hungry or wanted a cup of coffee then you couldn't go far wrong by going in but there are better places nearby (e.g. Malmesbury High St) if you were going to stop specifically.

Decided to take Mum out for a spot of lunch. had a look around an plumped for this place. We were glad we did, especially me. Most garden centre cafes have the same food on sale. here there is a bit more choice. I had a wonderful breakfast, (I know it was lunch time) it was huge and very well cooked. Mum had a sandwich which she seemed to enjoy. I thoroughly recommend this establishment.

We visited the garden centre on a wet day , looking for a cafe etc . after a look around the small garden centre shop we entered the Cafe . The food we ordered was a cheese and tomato sandwich and two teas £4.50 for sandwich and £2.50 for the tea .The bread was fresh and it came with a small salad and some crisps .There was plenty of filling in the sandwich and the tea was how it should hot and strong . People around us were having large breakfasts and scrambled eggs on toast and coffees . Definitely a must place to visit if you are in the area , As for the garden centre it is a small and dated , could do with a make over .

First time in the pub booked a table for 3. Lovely warm welcome from all the staff. My nan who is 95 used to be a chambermaid in the war times & my nan was talking to the staff about it.they all took the time to listen to her it was so lovely she could share her story & others be interested. Food was absolutely delicious 😋 Lovely atmosphere all round would definitely recommend & will be going back again.

I thought I would book dinner at the hotel as a surprise for my husband as we got married in this lovely hotel exactly 5 years ago. I emailed ahead of time and told them it was our anniversary and why we I wanted to book a table there. What a let down…the hotel has changed so much since we got married there in 2017. When we first arrived the receptionists were cold and not at all welcoming,we didn’t even get a happy anniversary from any of the staff which I thought was so unthoughtful. I explained I was gluten free and was given a normal menu and was told anything could be made gluten free. Great I thought, the food was horrendous.. I had a pie with different ingredients in to what was on the menu, the salad it came with was a couple of limp lettuce leaves and some potato wedges that were ok and the best thing on the plate! My husband had a steak and it was ok, certainly not worth the amount we were charged for though as the quality was not great. The poor young waitress gave us the wrong menu…I don’t blame her as she was doing the best she could and kept apologising for the mistakes. We were given a complimentary dessert as we had over a 30 min wait for dessert …great, checked the bill and we had been charged for it so again the poor waitress sorted that out on her own. There were two conferences on at the hotel and the staff were clearly overwhelmed. Such a disappointment, over priced poor quality food, lack of staff and just completely down hill. I pity anyone planning an event here as it’s changed so much.

Lovely outside setting for lunch in the sunshine looking out on the hotel grounds. Excellent service. However very expensive for what you get.
