Amazing bakery for breads and cakes - and super friendly staff. The pasties were not for me however. The steak one was just filled with potatoe and very little steak. My partner had a vegetable one and enjoyed it for balance.

Nice food rude staff ask to get in the que when browsing the cakes. would it be nice if they had said please could you move in the queue?

If you get the queuing system wrong, you’re in serious trouble! Be prepared to be told off, then ignored, the huffed at, even if you have profusely apologised for making a mistake. Great French stick but not worth the hassle.

Looked around and choose my lunch, stood where someone else had been served, was looked at in a rather dismissive manner and ignored whilst 6 other people were served. We live in Cornwall and when in the area pop in, normally very friendly, but not today, put my sandwich back. Not sure why we were treated like that, disappointing.

Some of the produce are a shadow of their former quality in particular the Cornish pasties and the croissants. Unfortunately one of the older staff members was also extremely rude, avoid and try elsewhere

I was back in the bakery today; my wife wanted cake, so I brought a carrot cake. Very good. As no customers were in the shop, so i gave them feedback on my very disappointing passies 2 days earlier, which i reviewed. The manager was keen to get the details, apologetic and insisted on refunding me. Explained that without this feedback, they can't control supplier quality. I was impressed.

Stopped off here to grab a pasty and a salad bowl. Lots of fresh pastries, bread and sandwiches. I had a medium salad bowl which was filled to the brim. Really good value for money. I can imagine this deli is very popular as the food looks wonderful. The staff are efficient and friendly. A few car parking spaces are directly outside.

I think we timed it wrong. There was one poor girl doing all the hot drinks and we had a very long wait. Breakfast panini was very quick but cooled down while waiting for drinks. Seemed a little disorganised but food was lovely but would have preferred to have it at the same time as my coffee.

I think the staff suffer when it is quite busy as they ignored my Mother while she was standing at the coffee counter, I feel they could have just asked her to stand in the main queue but they just served everyone around her. It's a bit of a shame as the coffee is lovely and the bread rolls we had were also very nice. No gluten free options which I understand given how hard it is with the allergy rules but again it's a bit of a shame.

Barnecutts is a joy to visit, the staff are lively and attentive, full of good humour. The food on offer is beautifully presented and very appealing, as well as being delicious. The real show stopper is the steak pasty, or steak and stilton for the adventurous. This is a must visit and the perfect place to load up for a picnic.

Whilst on a trip to Rock my wife and I stopped at the bakery for a slice of cake. When paying I said to the lady serving me that I only had a £20 note. She gave me an incredible look and made a comment about tourists always being the same. Needless to say I was so shocked I didn’t know what to say and just smiled. It turned out she was deadly serious and started tutting as she counted out my change. I don’t think I’d go back again, the next day we continued up the road a little further and found a much nicer cafe next to a row of shops and estate agent, where we weren’t made to feel so unwelcome

What a great bakery / deli. We were certainly pleased we found it early on ,in our stay at Rock. Visited daily everything we tried was excellent.

I bought a granary half baguette and a half white. Too dense and too dry. Was I sold yesterday's bread (in which case thats a no-no for bread such as batons) or is is just poor bakery?

Very disappointed in finding my sausage roll to be pink rubbery tube disguised as a sausage. How hard is it to use proper sausages!!! Or a higher quality sausagemeat..

What a find this was, My wife has been extremely complimentary of the gluten free bread and we have ordered four loaves to take home from the Wadebridge shop. Friends have also told us the doughnuts are good, so I will try one of those when we collect the bread.

Stumbled upon the bakery when setting our from a walk which was much needed as I’d missed breakfast. A tasty bacon bap with a cappuccino plus a pasty for taking along on my walk and a salad from the deli for tea. All 3 meals for the day. Everything was delicious a d the staff were so friendly and helpful despite how busy it was. Would definitely come back here if I’m in the area again!

Always a great selection of deli salads and great bakery. Scotch eggs and donuts are top of the list. A regular stop when on holiday here.

Are a must. Absolutely delicious pasties. The pastry is just so light and flakey and the filling is spit on for a traditional pasty.

As always, the quality is strikingly high for all of their products. Love the pasties and pastries! Had a really lovely salad, mixed in front of me. Very tasty indeed.

Visited Rock for the first time today and saw this deli on our way in do stopped to get lunch. What a find, the range of bread was great as was the choice of cakes and salad bar. The staff were excellent and really friendly....

We have been coming to Rock for well over 20 years, since opening we have had pasties, Pizza, Bread, pies and cakes. Most of the time we have to wait for the pizza to be cooked, but hey you cannot get any fresher than that,...

Great selection of bakery products, sandwiches, salad lunches, prepared meals. They now open early in the morning to satisfy the breakfast demand.

A fabulous bakery. The best pasties in traditional and contemporary flavours. A go to place for us! We even bring some home for later!

We had the original pasty and the steak and stilton, so nice we had to bring some home with us. Mind you they don't taste quite the same when not in a paper bag!! Magical.

Our favourite place in Rock and a must visit when in Rock. Delicious freshly baked pasties, pies, pastries and bread which is all freshly baked. It is no wonder it is so popular with locals and workmen. The coffee is excellent.

Rock Bakery , now owned by Barnecutts , has been the “go to”pasty provider for over 50 years . It still does not disappoint and now In addition provides a delicious choice of fresh salad and vegetarian options plus the usual excellent cakes and bread....

The food quality and choice is amazing. Unfortunately most of the staff are a bit sour faced and unfriendly. Perhaps they are nicer to locals.

Great selection of salads to make you feel less guilty about eating their amazing sausage rolls,quiche and rock cakes. I found the staff a bit miserable on the 3 occasions I went in but luckily the food made up for that!

If you are staying in Rock, or just visiting, this baker is a real gem. Pasties, pastries, basic dairy produce and frozen meals are available. The bread selection I didn't sample, but I was tempted as the produce that I did buy did not disappoint.

Forget anywhere else when you want a proper Cornish Pasty, always head to Barnecutts for mine, never disappoints. With the Rock deli having a eating in area it leads to more trouble as it means cake and coffee too !!
