While at QMUL, I toured London many times. Then one day, I decided to take the red and the black line to the northern district of the city and then, finally saw the Maiden's Tower! At that time, it was already 7.30pm and dark too! But no big deal, still saw the magnificent looking tower shines in the distance...truly an artwork!

I am not Turkish, but I love Turkish food, and have been to some amazing Turkish restaurants in London, but this one is HORRIBLE. You can always tell the quality of a restaurant by the cleanliness of its toilets, and the ones here are terribly unclean. The waiter was very very friendly and helpful, but he was only drafted in on short notice and didnt work there before. The food was so bad all turkish people should be ashamed of Maidens Tower. I could tell the oil was cheap and nasty, and there was so much of it in my food that I felt like puking. The meat was badly marinated and cooked, so bland. The humous was poor, the iskander was poor, the sujuk was poor, HOW CAN A TURKISH PLACE HAVE BAD HUMOUS AND ISKANDER, FIX YOURSELVES UP OR DONT CALL YOURSELVES TURKISH.

I have been at this small restaurant together with some friends and we haven't been so happy about it. We went there twice, having different dishes and we have noticed the following: - the service is a bit clumsy, sometimes they forget to prepare your dish, they aren't proactive and do not notice you asking to order something; - their menu is messy: they often don't have wines or desserts written there; - the food is actually not bad, decently prepared and served, although there are still better turkish restaurant in London; - mixed grill dishes are not worth their higher price as they are mainly composed by chicken wings; - despite of the previous point, the average price for a meal is quite low and you can have a good meal even with a low budget, as the portions are quite massive.

We had some free time before the train departure and by pure luck we ended up in this pub. As it was a Wednesday special night we were kindly invited to the basement Amazing. Every man’s dream place. We can’t wait to be back in January.

Nice cocktails, drinks paired with food on menu. Great waitress service but shown to table by silent owner? Nice choices. Quite expensive. Busy, tables quite close together.

What a disappointing place, especially after all the positive reviews I've seen! I had a booking for dinner - I arrived 15 minutes early, and stood in the doorway by the sign that said to wait to be seated. There were three servers walking around near the door - granted, they were serving other tables, but they completely ignored me and refused to even acknowledge me standing there, even when they weren't serving others. After an awkwardly long time of being ignored, I had to chase down one of the servers to ask for my booked table. They seemed almost angry that I'd asked, which was really offputting and unwelcoming. Once I was seated, they shoved a pile of menus on the table and walked away without a word or smile. To be honest, I can excuse poor service if the food is good. But here, the food was completely average, which was very disappointing considering it was expensive. My tip: save your money and buy the food from Lidl's Alpine week. It's much better and more flavourful - and it'll cost less than the price of a slice of stale Sachertorte at Kipferl. Nice and cosy restaurant interior in a cute alleyway, but that's the main thing going for it. The aloof service and low quality food soured the evening, and it was very galling to have to pay 12.5% service charge for a subpar experience (you pay via QR code, so you can't really ask them to remove it).

Great Food, Fabulous cocktails and wonderful service. We didn't notice that the bill was slightly wrong due to the till updating but the waiter quickly realised and informed us and refunded us immediately - How wonderful that he was so honest and so apologetic with it !!!

Extremely busy due to the unexpected March sunshine but the food was still top notch. My chicken roast was incredible and the dish pictured was the best aubergine in years. They easily dealt with gluten free and dairy free. Could probably have used a few more staff to deal with the deluge of people but they were all pleasant under pressure
