Such a great bar. Really well run. Great design - the kind of place John Milton from Devil's Advocate would love. Friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious pizza. Even if we move to a new office, it'll remain our local :)

Recibimos un servicio superior de Beth y no hay suficientes palabras para describir lo increíble que fue el personal del bar durante toda la noche. Hubo algunos problemas de comunicación sobre el pedido de alimentos, pero esto se identificó y se solucionó lo antes posible. Nuestros clientes y el personal disfrutaron inmensamente la noche y sin duda volveremos a reservar. Lo único que diría que necesita atención fue la condición de los baños de damas (falta el asiento del inodoro, las puertas se pegan), pero es un problema que se soluciona fácilmente.

Hemos estado aquí varias veces y nunca nos ha decepcionado. Decoración encantadora Mucha variedad de bebidas. También hay una discoteca en el otro bar si tiene ganas de pasar una noche y salir del restaurante.

Un gran ambiente con un personal realmente amable. ¡El renovado también se ve genial! Fresco, nítido y con estilo Uber, pero mantiene el gran ambiente que el equipo ha conocido por aquí y en otros lugares durante muchos años.

Pagamos 45 libras por el llamado "almuerzo de felpa", que en realidad era al menos en papel un desayuno glorificado. ! Sin embargo, la comida era apenas comestible, sin ningún tipo de guarnición que la acompañara, además, si querías una guarnición, ¡tenías que pagar extra por ella! ! ¡Horrible experiencia! Nunca más

This was my fourth visit to Mcqueen, this time on a Groupon voucher valued at £117! Book by phone were the instructions. Only answer phone available each time I tried and finally left a message for call back. No response. Rang for fifth time and finally got a reservation. Bad bad experience. Trained waiting staff missing. Novice to take orders. Very limited menu choice. Poor service. Food even worse and very small portions with no accompaniments (pay extra for them!). Food not even worth what I paid by Groupon. Good bye McQueen.

I visited a few weeks ago on a saturday, the decor is lovely, staff were lovely - The Aussie from Sydney and Mo served us. I ordered lamb, mac n cheese was delicious as was the steak. When we arrived it wasn't busy but by the end of the evening the restaurant was packed, bar was packed and the nightclub was busy! I think as it got busier the service was a bit slower but we had a great time Can't wait to return.

Was provided with Great service from franklin and mo nice atmosphere and great music from the dj whilst dinning with the ladies.

We got a groupon deal for £30 each for a filet and fries and 3 tiger prawns plus a glass of Prosecco Filet was beautifully cooked and food is really well presented but I was a bit shocked that I paid an extra £52 for a bottle of water, an aubergine starter and a sour dough starter with two sides of mash and one dessert Quite quiet for a Friday night not many people in there Staff very friendly though

Such a nice intimate atmosphere, perfect for a date. The service is fantastic cannot fault the staff and the food was unbelievable. We got the steak and it was superb. We both felt wined and dined 👌

This business has mice - that should be enough to deter anyone from dining here. I was a guest of a large dinner party. We had to send in our orders prior to the date. This was pointless as we ended up waiting TWO HOURS for our food to be served after being seated. Not to mention, when the bill arrived they tried to charge us extra for the food, stating that the menu we had been supplied with prior was the old one and has recently been updated. They tried to charge us according to the new, updated menu. For example, many of us ordered the half lobster, which (according to the previous menu) was £13. When the bill arrived they were charging us £25 for the half lobster. Given that we had to pay by cash, I am very skeptical of the integrity of this business and how things are run. There was a mouse present in the building. The staff seemed not to be concerned about this when told, which suggests to me that this is the norm. Staff were incredibly rude and dismissive when we asked them to remove the service charge. Staff have no understanding of hospitality or customer service. We were told that the manager was away and so we were unable to make a complaint. This business has a food hygiene rating of 0 according to the borough of Islington & requires serious improvement. Google search it. I would not reccomend here at all.

Booked in for a bottomless brunch. Before the brunch we were provided with a menu and asked to pre-order our food. The food was included in the price already and there was no price differentiation. When we arrived at 3pm we weren't offered our drink until 20 minutes had passed. When our first drink was poured we were told the 2 hour period for the bottomless drink had started. One of our party is vegan and had requested the avocado toast. When it arrived it was pathetic. One tiny bit of bread with hardly any chopped avocado. When we brought this up the response was incredibly rude. The waiter said that we shouldn't have expected all the meals would be the same size and at restaurants you have to expect if some dishes have different prices then they might be smaller. THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF PRICE so I don't know how we were supposed to have figured that out. Finally, he said he would sort it and returned having just added a pile of spinach to the measly meal. A joke. Then we were informed our bottomless drinks had finished because it was 5pm (it was actually 4.40pm). When we disputed this as it wasn't 5pm and also our bottomless time had been started late we were told we were wrong. The standard response in McQueen seems to be that the customer is definitely wrong and you should immediately argue against them. Their attitude stinks. Very poor. Avoid.

I've been a few times, all for different reasons. The food and service is amazing. The waiter felt like a personal butler. The bar drinking area was good and the downstairs chillout/party area was good fun.

We arrived for our 12noon table booking but doors were still closed at 12.. waited outside with other customers also waiting for a few minutes. once inside the décor was fabulous, lots of lovely prints of Steve Mcqueen, we were shown to our table, even with our small weekend bag, as there are no cloakrooms to store coats etc.. when people started arriving it did start to look a bit cluttered.. We asked for Bloody Marys for a lovely Sunday start.. but the waiter returned to advise no one was behind the bar to provide these for us.. when the beef Sunday dinners arrived, they were ok roast potatoes were very dry and required quite a lot of gravy to cope with them.. the beef seemed for mine to be the end of the joint thick cut and dry, slightly over cooked for me, whilst my partner on the same table had much better medium rare slices, as there weren't many people in to fill the room, the waiter hung about quite a bit, we were buzzed a few times, and at one point I had a few mouthfuls left and my partner had finished, and it seemed like the waiter was just hovering over our table ready to pounce as soon as I finished, made me feel a bit uncomfortable, we had dessert, I had baked cheesecake and partner had a tinned grapefruit slice fried with rum and two sultanas and scoop of ice-cream for his , looked a bit pathetic to be honest.. I probably could have done that, maybe with fresh pineapple it would have been better.. all in all it seemed they weren't taking care with the food for the ones that came early, lets hope it improved for the rest of their days customers. I believe they probably think that as long as people go there once, that's enough for them, I don't think we'll be coming back

Sunday roast was lovely. My son had chocolate brownie and said it was amazing, will definitely return. Thank you to all the staff at McQueens for an amazing service.

Easy going, great dinning area with attentive staff. Food was excellent. Comfortable and amicable surroundings meant lunch time passed easy. Good set menu options during the week, menu catered for classic slightly up market Burger or more focused Steak / Lamb Grill. I think in the evening the bar policy is smart Casual but I can see why as it is a cracking place...

John who welcomed us to the restaurant was lovely! Always attentive and was always checking to make sure we was okay at the table. Our waiter Mo was also great and our glasses were never empty. They both made us all feel very comfortable and even found out about Johns talent of knowing different languages. Was a very nice brunch. Especially because we were there for a birthday to which they brought out a birthday surprise dessert with a lovely big sparkler.

Been there many times and the Food, drinks and atmosphere is good and the staff are fabulous. However, it is impossible to get hold of them if you need to change something or ask a question etc. They never answer the phone. Ever! They never call you back if you leave a message. Ever! Finally, the 'Contact' section on the website still does not work even thought they have been told about it many, many times

Food was lovely and staff were friendly it just took a bit too long for the order to be taken and bill to arrive but if we had more time other than a lunch break it would have been fine

I visited here on Saturday for the Cafe Mambo event . I was greeted by a miserable woman who I tried to gain conversation but she was not interested. The owner of the bar looked miserable all day , I know this event must of been pressure but he should interact with his paying customers !!! I had the burger this was awful we also had a welcome cocktail this was so bad I couldn’t even drink it. We was meant to be here all evening but the event was so bad we ended up going home at 6 !!! We had 2 waitresses at our table 1 lovely 1 rude I will not be visiting again .

We bought a voucher for 2 on groupon to use during a weekend break in London. Fantastic service from the minute we arrived, a lovely setting and great Sunday roasts. Absolutely no complaints and we would definitely return next time we visit the city!

One of my favorite places for date night. The setting in the dining area is very romantic and since the music is loud it’s easy to talk. The service is a bit slow but definitely worth the wait because the food is plated nicely and it tastes good as well.

Just had 2 Tomahawks for a group of 5... these giant 1kg cuts of prime beef come served perfectly cooked & sliced on wooden boards with a selection of sauces. The truffled mac & cheese was so good we asked for a 2nd serve, and the waiters suggestion of the Malbec washed it down nicely. Will be returning again soon.

My friend and I had a nice lunch then saw a mouse running around the restaurant. We complained politely and were told blandly by the manager 'welcome to London! This is Shoreditch. We are having a renovation, this is normal.' He did not offer to discount our meal nor apologise.

We recently booked their Saturday bottomless brunch for a friends Birthday. We were taken to our table quickly and they were patient while we waited for all members of our party to turn up.

We visited here for an anniversary meal. On arrival, Saturday evening, we were escorted to our table in the restaurant. It is a beautiful place inside, really stunning. The food we had was really nice too. Unfortunately, there were 2 problems for us. Firstly, the bar next door is really busy and loud, which wouldn't be a problem except for the door between the bar and the restaurant is constantly being opened and left open, turning a quiet romantic meal into a noisy party. Secondly, the service was pretty awful. Food took a long time to arrive, mains arrived without the sides, they turned up 5 minutes later, and drinks took over 10 minutes to come. The service was that bad I refused to pay the service charge (which I would never normally do). If you visit outside of the Friday/Saturday evening hours it may be much better, but that isn't the experience we had. On balance, we spent the next few hours in the bar and had a nice time.

We got there on early friday night. We had to wait 40 minuets for the first course. The squide had terrible smell, we had to give it back. The main course was'nt as bad , but nothing to write home about. In general very disapointing.

Michael and John in the restaurant were very attentive and provided a great service.

I visited here today for a surf and turf meal and waited 50 minutes for it. Upon complaining to the manager I was told ‘sorry I’m not the chef’ I asked for a glass of wine as compensation and was told it was too expensive!! We then ordered dessert and cheese & biscuits....waited another 30 minutes for 4 biscuits and three tiny bits of cheese at £8.50! Sent the cheese back as the manager just offered more biscuits!! Absolute joke, mcqueens is lovely but you need to educate your restaurant manager on customer service! The waiting staff were excellent especially a young girl called Emily who apologised which is more than the manager did! Very disappointed will not be returning!

Just got back from an evening out with my husband. Few n far between! On being seated could smell weird fishy smell. When our squid starter came realized what the smell was and on tasting it was bitter . Not good at all!!! Smelly off. Complained and straight away was replaced with chicken starter, as not to repeat error. Rest of meal fine n enjoyable . Hope now not to come down with anything sinister!

We were party of 7, table location was good. Fantastic steaks & starters. Superb Ambience, could hear everyone, so not too loud. Though waiter could benefit from some training (weekend service tend to be more professional). Will be back!

Me and my girlfriend were eating and it was really nice, food and service was great untill we realised as more people left there were mice all over the place running around. Watch your feet. My girlfriend even spotted one on the kitchen counter. We instantly stopped eating our food and left.

I was working at McQueens in a Saturday evening as a cloakroom attendant. I found the management & staff to be very friendly, efficient at their jobs and happy. Makes for a lovely worKing environment! Whilst there I thought the customers were really nice, there to socialise, no attitudes. The music was awesome.......I’d definitely go there on a night out.

My husband and I went to McQueen at Shoreditch last night. We were greeted by an Australian waiter, Michael, who showed us to our table. Micheal was friendly, chatty and very attentive throughout the duration when we were eating there. The food from starters, main, desert and wine were lovely. Truly enjoyed the meal at the restaurant and would certainly go back again.

Visited Mcqueen with Friends for Sunday lunch for the first time. Food , atmosphere and service were Superb. I had roast Lamb which was melt in the mouth. The atmosphere was friendly and the service fantastic . We will definitely return.

McQueens is one of my favourite haunts, luv coming here. Was here for a birthday dinner. The team accommodated a last minute addition to dinner. Great food, disappointing they’d changed the champagne vendor ;( Great service from the team who looked after us at dinner. Will be back again.

We dined here about a week ago on a Groupon offer (steak, lobster, unlimited chips and champagne for two at around £40-£45) and had a fantastic evening.

Booked this through Groupon as a birthday treat for my friend and had heard great things about this brunch deal.

Lovely little place with homage pictures to steve mcqueen everywhere. Bar was still going through a refurb so we just ate in the restaurant. Groupon voucher was a bit restrictive with set menu but they always are and it was good value anyway so no complaints. Lovely friendly staff with good service, excellent chicken harissa starter, nicely cooked steak for main and yummy chocolate brownie for dessert....would go again....

i am glad that they gone REFURB ! i hope they will change all concept and their opinion about whole thing too ! place was bit lack of enjoyment and less flavour on food too ! after going there bit of expectations ! shoredirth need quality not pricy eatery !

While the food was good I can not say the same about the staff. It felt that they didn’t want us there. And how can you run out of mash potatoes? Can not you just cook more?

Yo estaba en el metro. Estaba tranquila. Asdumedly asnit el personal decidió ir a casa bastante temprano que honor reservas efectuadas. Hacer sus propietarios saben que gire reservas para 5. 30:00 a pesar de que anuncian comidas los domingos hasta las 6 de la tarde afuera? Chocante e increíblemente grosera, piénselo dos veces antes de visitar este lugar. . . . . Esperemos que los iwners. ver este comentario y ver que el personal es hasta!

Had friends over from Dubai, loved the atmosphere service and food. Everything went smoothly from booking to leaving.

We booked to have Sunday Lunch at McQueens after having a fab meal one evening a couple of weeks before - that meal was lovely but our Sunday Lunch was Superb one of the Best Roasts I have had at a restaurant in years. We were 2 couples two had the Lamb, one Beef and one Chicken,well all I can say is the meats were all melt in the mouth - veg was delicious and perfectly cooked Yorkshire’s were the best and freshly cooked too, this all went down with some Beautiful wine. We all had fab deserts and cocktails after and can honestly say we were all very happy. The decor is lovely too with Chandeliers and leather with pics of the icon himself Steve McQueen dotted around - would Simply highly recommend a visit :)

Habíamos reservado un brunch aquí a través de un sitio vale. La comida aquí es excelente, con un buen tamaño de las porciones. El personal también era muy educado, atento y encantador.

Was ok, had a groupon meal I paid £50, was asked if we wanted water, said yes as in tap water but she brought a bottle of water and opened it before we could say no tap water but offered everyone around us tap water so felt we was con out of £5. Food was ok nothing special

Came here with gf for a Saturday brunch. Both had the fry up (hungover and hungry!). Staff were great, very warm and helpful. Food was yummy, only criticisms would be that it was a fry up with no baked beans, American bacon and we didn't...

This bar/restaurant is a tribute to Steve McQueen with various pictures of his film life on the wall - they also show some film footage. This Groupon deals was a 3 course meal with a bottle of wine. The choice of starters, Beetroot gravalax smoked...

We went here for the bottomless brunch having spent the weekend in Shoreditch and had a fantastic time. The service was brilliant, all of the staff were happy, engaging, professional and just made it a brilliant experience. They were great at keeping your glass topped...

I booked the bottomless brunch for my boyfriends birthday. We both thought the food was great, glasses were never empty & the atmosphere was brilliant. The service was also great with a good selection of brunch on the menu. Will be recommending!!

Gran lugar para disfrutar de un agradable almuerzo temprano era el menú de platos interesantes grupo. Realmente disfruto de mi desayuno inglés si estaba perfectamente preparada. Vine aquí con mi novia utilizando un vale. Me sorprendió gratamente, ya que la comida no coincide con la decoración. Menú de arranque lo más destacado era el cuscús y el surf y turf principal. Evitar la piña daiquiri (no vale la pena). Recomendaría este restaurante, vale la pena probarlo.

Un amigo y yo habíamos reservado una oferta brunch sin límite que teníamos en groupon. Tuvimos un momento muy turístico y nos dieron muy perdido en nuestro camino, así que acabamos de llegar 30 minutos tarde. Llamamos a explicar nuestra situación tan pronto como nos dimos cuenta de que no llegaran a tiempo y aunque la cocina era debido a que dijeron que nos mantenerlo abierto para nosotros (originalmente tenían que ser para 10 minutos después de la reserva). Cuando lea un restaurante qué estás realmente buscando? Yo sugeriría una excelente comida y servicio, junto con un buen ambiente y agradable decoración debería ser suficiente para una primera evaluación. Aunque a veces un lugar va un poco más y debe ser altamente elogiados por él cuando lo hace.

Lovely place but many things weren’t on the menu which was a shame

Fuimos a este restaurante como una comida de cumpleaños para mi marido. Cuando llegamos no nos dimos cuenta de que era también un club de noche, así que no estaba seguro de la música, pero una vez fuimos y nos sentamos en nuestra mesa en el restaurante nos quedamos muy contentos con el que, de noche. El restaurante tiene una decoración preciosa, el servicio era genial, el personal era muy amable, la comida era maravillosa y el ambiente era genial. Los tres campos vinieron todos a la mesa bien caliente, parecía encantador en nuestro plato y todo sabía super. Recomendaría este restaurante y me encantaría volver.
