Central Station is an LGBT friendly pub with rooms to stay upstairs, Fridays and Saturdays in the bar are fantastic, the karaoke on both those nights with the DJ Chris Reardon is legendary, it’s hilarious and such a great night. Me and my friends always love it. Iconic !!!

No recomendaría alojarse aquí.

Traditional style pub in Kings Cross area. Called in for an early dinner following a day on business in the city. Staff are very friendly and the place was quiet when I arrived, so quick service. Small menu of basic pub food, fancied something lightish, so went for Sea Bass. It wasn’t bad and just the right amount of food for me. There are lots of cabaret nights here, tonight was Burlesque Night, due to start as I was leaving. The place had filled up and I can imagine the atmosphere would be very good.

V amiable counter staff negotiated our order with a patient cook and us, 8oz steak easily cut, a delicious mackerel salad. Pottable bordeaux. "Average" doesn't do the humour of this place justice but neither does "very good". 3.5? Non-pretentious. Genuine. But. Top marks to the staff.

As the title says, the breakfast was decent (muesli, cereals, full English and tea/coffee). However, whilst the room was clean and the location of the hotel was ideal for us (Being 5 mins from St. Pancras station and 30 mins from Soho Theatres), the room was extremely hot and the noise from the bar below was very loud. Admittedly, the music quietened after midnight and there was a small fan in the room but overall I cannot deny our nights sleep was poor. Also, when checking in you have to go to the bar to check in (afterwards you enter via a side door) which I didn't like and I didn't find the manager who checked us in to be all that hospitable too. We clearly had 2 big cases, and my girlfriend couldn't get hers up the 2 flights of narrow stairs but he didn't offer to take one of the cases and help- he'd rather watch me struggle with both. For £130 a night, I had expected a better quality nights sleep and more hospitable staff. We stayed at the Grange Whitehall hotel last year when we came to the theatre and we paid around £100 a night. There was a bell boy on the door there and a far superior room/nights sleep overall. A B&B of this size clearly has no need for a bell boy etc but instead should have a pricing structure that reflects its quality. I wouldn't stay again!

The place was closed for a long while so it is good to see it reopen. I was there at lunch time on a Sunday, so it was quiet but I imagine it would be full of life in the evening. There are drag acts and a good gay scene from the advertising I saw. The choice of drinks was OK, nothing special to drag a drinker in I would say. The food menu looked fine but nothing that caught my taste buds. I was put off by the darkness, I had not realised when I walked in just how oppressive it was, my fault and there are other places to sit. It just didn't feel like a place I wanted to sit and eat.

The BF suggested trying the food here a few times but I mostly shied off as I could never equate the place with eating - karaoke and fab Drag yes, place to eat? No. I wasn't wrong. The bar area had the same aroma as the gents urinal and the glasses our wine was served in were filthy. Thankfully, we didn't announce that we'd called ahead to eat, so we drank up and went to Honest Burgers. Shame, really. Would have liked to support an independent business, but it really wasn't a fit place to eat.

Eight of us came here for dinner after going to see Railway Children at King's Cross theatre. The staff were so friendly and the service was great. 5 of us had the burgers and all said they were one of the best burgers they had had dining out. Proper homemade and delicious. The homemade fish cakes were also excellent. A very reasonably priced pub selling good pub food. We would definitely come here again if over this way.

Staying at central station for two nights. Single room small but clean and as advertised. Perfectly adequate for my needs. Had a burger in the bar downstairs which was large and of good quality at a fair price. Pleasant helpful staff makes this preferable to the typical corporate experience at a travelodge nearby where I almost stayed. Would come back.

My companion and I decided to eat here prior to going to an event at the Kings Place. Central Station is a convenient location and whilst a pub that serves food the food we had was very good. The steak and ale pie was packed full of steak (although it could have done with a little more moisture) and a very filling offering. My companion had a vegetarian option and claimed it was also very good. Whilst we were there the venue was fairly quiet - which was a plus point for us.The service was pleasant and always with a smile. I would definitely visit again.

Me and 9 other friends went to Central station on a Thursday evening and I must say we were not disappointed. Yes the decor is not the most swanky but it is a local pub and it is nice to see it has retain his identity. It is very clean and well kept and we had our own room upstairs which was great. The staff were all charming, approachable, talkative and attentive. The food was extremely affordable and delicious. The burgers were freshly made and copious. Honestly a great place for a bite to eat and we will go back no doubt in the future.

The style is very much old-fashioned boozer but don't let that put you off if you are looking for cheap-ish place to have lunch, sit and chat. The place was practically empty the day we chose but deserves to be far more popular at lunch time. They do a daily quick special lunch at £5. The hamburgers are freshly made with real meat ie not those processed patties you get in places like Weatherspoons and cooked to order. As the regular cook was off that day, the owner made our lunch himself and even served it. I guess if they do get busier, then there would need to be a couple of staff more which I hope they get as it deserves more customers.

I purchased the London Pass and the Food Guide along with it for my visit to London and Central Station was one of them. So. My wife and I Walked from the King's Cross underground station for about 10 to 15 minutes till we arrived at the Central Station Pub/Restaurant. There was only one guy working behind the bar and no servers or waiters. Only one customer other than us. I asked him if we can sit. He replied. Sure. So we seated ourselves. The table was not clean and the menu was sticky. Choices are re limited and the prices are high 10 to 15 pounds per main dish. After sitting there for about 10 minutes. Still no one came to our table to serve us. My wife and I decided to simply pick ourselves and leave.

Totally empty except for us and the staff. No steak pie available. Food took ages to arrive,we only had burgers! The burger was tough and the base of the bun was hard ad difficult to cut through. Didn't eat the top. In an area full of offices and residents there wasn't a soul there to have a drink or to eat! Initially I thought we were just early, arrived at 12.00 for lunch but it took so long for the food to arrive we left at 1.45 and no one else had come in.

No idea why this place is even posted on Open Table. It is a completely ordinary local pub with no atmosphere and bland food -- if you can even get it: after we had placed our order and waited 20 minutes we were told two of the things we ordered (standard pub fare) were unavailable! There are only two kinds of beer on tap. Within a few blocks are many more interesting restaurants. No reason to go out of your way for this place.

I met my boyfriend for lunch here as it was close to Kings Cross station and I had to catch a train after. The food was great, obviously home made rather than just heated up - the chips were the best we'd ever tasted and the staff were lovely and really friendly. I wanted to stay all afternoon, and there's free pool! Somewhere I would go back to.

We arrived at Central Station to find that it isn't a restaurant. It's a gay-friendly pub which happens to serve food. We had reserved a table but they didn't seem to know we were coming & made us up a table next to the DJ booth, and then we had to go and order at the bar. By this point we were a little sceptical about the place but the food was lovely. I had fishcakes which were delicious & served with a lovely salad, and mash, and my friends both had burgers. One was very specific as to how she wanted her bacon cooked, but they did it to perfection. No complaints at all about the food. It was fine for the 3 of us to sit and chat and catch up but I wouldn't recommend it as a classy place for a romantic meal!

I've not been offended by anything in years but last night in was shocked to be kicked out because my clothing was made of rubber. We came up for a chilled drink and to watch the show. There was drag and guys in full sports kit but a staff member rushed over and pulled us out of a one way side door giving us no say in the matter and said there were straight people in that may be offended by my clothing. I asked if anyone had said anything and he said no, it was the manager that didn't like the look of us. There was nothing revealing or rude it was just rubber and we were kicked out of a gay bar for looking gay. If you can't feel safe and welcome for expressing yourself in a gay bar then where can you? We even wore it on the tube and for food and on the streets with noone caring and the only things being days had been compliments. So was shocked and upset to experience homophobia (and yes of course gays can be homophobic) Absolutely appalling behaviour.

Good mix of people of all ages, gay and straight. The night I went this included a baby in arms in one group and a tranny sitting at the bar. All were made to feel welcome. I ordered steak from their menu which turned out to be excellent and well presented. Slightly disappointed by the female singer whose act was good but fairly short. There was also a DJ upstairs. The basement is known as the Underground and has different themed nights for its gay clients which is definitely xxx rated

Central Station is a short walk from Kings Cross but it's terrace restaurant sits way above the crowd in more ways than one. Friendly efficient staff take care over you and the chef's recommendations are to be trusted. Local (yes, local) vegetables made a delicious tart to start with; followed by the best fish pie ever and light, soft centred crispy fishcakes with excellent chips. We shared a summer fruit tart which came with a home-made custard and vowed to return asap.

This used to be my favourite local pub. But now it’s £14 for a large glass of wine I won’t be returning . London pubs, please understand the more you increase your prices the less people will come. Keep your prices modest and we will stay, and eventually spend more. No brainer.

I am a local living in Finsbury Park & I been eating in the restaurant for many years & I love the food because its home cooked with best quality produce . This restaurant has a big local following especially on match days when Arsenal are playing at home !!! Uncle Bulgaria aka George knows how to produce top quality food at a reasonable price hence the reason us locals keep returning !!! The homemade goulash is the best you will find anywhere this side of Budapest!!! The quality of the meat has to be noted as you will not find a better sirloin steak in London town for the price & the home cut chips are cooked to perfection!!! I love the place as it has a friendly atmosphere & good food !!!!
