Outstanding food and service. In my opinion there are two excellent Indian restaurants in Hampton. This is my favourite. The Chicken Makani (madras hot) is stunning. Eaten here many, many times and it never dissapoints. Thank you and keep up the excellent work

Mahirah offers a very full selection of dishes and very good delivery services. Meat and Chicken dishes are large and side vegetables are also very good. Prices are reasonable.

Had a lovely meal here! Lamb Bhubaneswar and butter chicken were very flavoursome and the staff are great. Very attentive and friendly.

Have been going here for a few years now staff and food are great. Always made very welcome. Never had a bad meal I have tried many different dishes all lovely.

We often visit Mahirah as it's just round the corner but it also happens to be good food, good service and good value. We're never disappointed and our recent visit was no exception. They cater to any specific need you may have and can make a meal hotter or cooler depending on your requirement. Infact, if there's something you'd like that's not on the menu, I'm confidant they'd try and create it for you!

Reading the other reviews, I’m guessing this restaurant must have two chefs...who have never met!!! Our takeaway for 5 people last night was so bland, most of it just went in the bin - the most damning comment made was “this isn’t worth the calories”! It’s not just that there was no heat in the spicing, but there was just no flavour or seasoning at all!!! I’m guessing all the 5* “tasty” reviews were lucky enough to get the other chef ... the only only explanations would be that some people like their food that bland, or that they aren’t genuine reviews????

The restaurant was easy to access with plenty of parking nearby and outside. Everyone found the venue easily. The management were incredibly welcoming and provided exactly what was arranged for the evening in plentiful quantities without compromising quality. I was able to prepare the venue beforehand with the assistance of the Mahirah management and staff. Friends who joined me gave great feedback on the evening. The service was excellent and food of a great standard. It is accessible for motorised chairs with disabled facilities too although we didn't require them in the end. I would highly recommend Mahirah to everyone and will definitely be back there again. Thank you for a superb evening, outstanding service and hospitality to all at Mahirah!

I've been here a few times since it opened and I don't think I've ever had a good meal unfortunately. The food is barely indian let alone fine dining. As other's have commented, the food is too bland!

I've eaten in this restaurant many times as it is local to me. The food has never let them down once as far as i'm concerned. Great taste's of India, and i've been to india more than once. Highly recommend this restaurant And the staff are very friendly. Well done.

We ordered Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken, and Naan for takeout. Everything was hot and tasty, and my husband mentioned that the staff was friendly and helpful. The Naan was divine! We will surely return.

I Ordered a pick up takeaway from here for the first time with good expectations from the other reviews I had seen since I live in the area, but my lamb korma tasted as if there were no spices added at all! probably the worst curry I have had In a long time I had to throw it in the bin eventually!the rest of the food was ok.not going back.

Total rubbish, most of this dish was cut tomatoes , five small bits chicken, naan ok. Onion bhajis. Better from morrisons. Delivery driver tried to charge a pound extra. All in all I just wasted fifteen pounds. Now it's in the bin. Lesson learned. Tim Allen.

Ordered a takeaway, food was fabulous but a little cold when it arrived, could have been hotter. That said, I will use them again,but ask for the 1st drop off!

A well attend local restaurant with a reliable menu and good service. Nothing to blow your socks off, but never a bad choice.

Nos dieron la última noche Tikka Madras entregado así como pan y arroz. El curry era algo insípido y simplemente promedio. Como hay mucho de calidad India en la zona no comer aquí.

I have dined here twice now and have experienced 5 different dishes. What makes this place stand out is the taste difference between each of the dishes. And to top it all this restaurant does not serve dishes floating in excessive oils.The service is friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere has a modern feel with an Indian touch.

We were looking or a decent curry house locally, went there based on the reviews but to be honest, the food at best average, no flavours coming through like a freshly cooked meal but the real spoiler was the inattentive service which just kept us waiting, will not be returning.

Have been here many times (the latest last Friday) and it never fails to delight thanks to the wonderful staff and the excellent management of the very hands-on owner. The food is always well cooked and presented and there's an eclectic choice on the menu which raises the Mahirah above the bog-standard suburban Indian restaurant. Try any of the recommended dishes or chef's choices and you will have a more than pleasant time. Not the cheapest but, in food as in life, you generally gets what you pays for!

This restaurant continues to impress. Great food, well presented. Very good service, always welcoming with a cheerful smile. There is a good selection of different dishes and a good wine and beer selection. We eat here on a regular basis, and on occasions use their takeaway service delivered to the door.

I just thought it was about time to write a review as we have been eating in the Mahira for a couple of years now. We have always had a really delicous meal as it has always been consistent, along with the most excellent and friendly service from all of the staff. We have enjoyed a meal just as a couple, but also along with friends too. Who are also now regulars. The menu is reasonable in price and so are the drinks. The portions are also of a good size too. A really lovely restaurant. We enjoy our visit every time.

Visited with a friend for dinner. Very attentive staff, explained menu very well. We found the food delicious, had starter and main course. Everything is reasonably priced. Got a Baileys on the house when we finished. The Restaurant is very clean, unfortunately there was only a few people in the restaurant. It was not the first time we visited and I cannot understand why it attracts more guest. They have also a good takeaway service, the food was always plenty and delicious, I can only recommend the restaurant.

As a family we visit atleast 1 or 2 testaurants in a week.Its my first visit to this restaurant but extremely upset by the attitude of the staff. Restaurant is almost empty with just we and one more couple at another table. But the staff pretend to be too busy and couldn't even wait at desk to take order. Dont know what dish is what...what is the chef's special. Says Just go thru menu and tell me what you want. Typical desi village style. I would say avoid it completely

A reasonably good Indian restaurant. It's not the best as I cook Indian food myself and know what good food tastes like, this isn't bad but not great either! We had a take out of the lamb dish, it was a lamb curry with a tomato based sauce, the quality of the lamb was very good but the sauce was mediocre, we ordered okra too, it was okay but not great!

Went there with my Mum and Dad. The food was delicious, wasn't greasy at all. Was flavourful and plentiful. Our waiter was attentive and welcoming, we had a lovely evening. The food arrived quickly and hot. Good tasty eating experience.

Had an excellent family meal for a reasonable price. The tandoori paneer sizzler was exceptional and all the curry dishes were full of flavour and had the right amount of spices. I have no reservations in recommending the Mahirah for an enjoyable eating experience.

Ate here midweek and found the service friendly, informal and fast, and the food tasty and good value for money.

We ordered many times from Mahira. It was always top class. Very tasty food and fresh. We had different things each time and always amazing!

This is one of those places you almost don't want to share - getting a table is nice and easy and prices very good. Service in house and for take away is excellent and there are some great dishes - chicken nobabi and paneer shashlik are real favourites. Highly recommend.

Great tasting food, nice size portions, really helpful staff, nice atmosphere. I booked a party there once before as well everything came out on time, and everyone highly complimented the food.

Great for takeaway, fantastic, fresh & tasty. Could do with working on the ambiance inside the restaurant. Not sure if I'd fancy eating in, due to ear wigging.

This is our local Indian restaurant and always provides a good meal. Not expensive but with many little touches to make for a memorable time.

Tonight our experience of this restaurant was unsatisfactory. Poor service, there wasn't a designed waiter for each table. The reason I wouldn't go back there again is mainly due to the quality of food.and the service, so many waitors kept interrupting our conversation. The food: as the menu and the waitors described the medium curries as full flavoured and spicy, the truth is it was bland and flavourless for 2 out of our 3 main courses. Were very disappointed. Thev!manger did not appear to take our feedback, which we gave in private, very seriously

Recommended by a work colleague and visited this restaurant 28th October 2015, gave the waiter a free hand on the ordering and can honestly say it was one of the best curries I have had for a very long time. Rather quiet but mid week is no surprise, thoroughly recommend this as excellent service, food and sensibly priced.Thankyou !!

We visited Mahira for a meal on a Monday night and the experience was really lovely. The service was superb and the food was lovely. It was not greasy and overall a great ex[experience. I would recommend.

We ordered a takeaway from here last night as our usual takeaway choice is slightly more expensive and payday is still a week away.All three of us were disappointed with our meals.My dad ordered a chicken madras, which was bland and just tasted of tomato soup.My mum ordered chicken tikka which had no flavour whatsoever.I had the chicken pathia which was flavoursome but far too hot for my tastebuds!Also I think you can tell a good curry house by its poppadoms, and sadly the poppadoms here were all soft and soggy :-( We have subsequently thrown out the menu so we don't make the mistake in ordering from here again. It's a shame as we have heard others say good things about it.

A family group of seven of us , enjoyed a very pleasant meal on Saturday evening. The food was good quality, presented very well and very good value for money. The portion size is more than adequate and the dishes range from the usual tandoori fayre that folk expect plus a generous range of their own variations. There was ample choice for the vegetarians in our group. The tempo of the restaurant service is not rushed, they try to make the meal feel like an occasion. The restaurant is in a residential area, but there is plenty off parking nearby. Do give it a try.

Visited this evening for the midweek banquet (£10 for starters, main, side dish and either naan or rice). Was great value for money and the dishes cooked well. I especially enjoyed the starter- we ordered a selection of mixed grill and it was done perfectly. Portions were generous.Staff were extremely polite and friendly. Kept checking to see we were enjoying the meal. Great local restaurant. We will definitely return

I went to this restaurant after reading great reviews about this place the staff was welcoming and polite I ordered a chicken relaza and some dall when the food came out it looked great so I simply had to take a picture of the meal . Have to say it tasted even better then it looked

Got a leaflet through the letter box about this place, looked and sounded very promising especially after reading the reviews on the tripadvisor. Gave it a go, went on Sunday for buffet lunch, been told by the waiter there is no buffet for two but we can order anything (apart from king prawns) from the menu on an all you can eat basis, i mean we order and they will bring it. Sounded a bit too good to be true, so we asked the waiter again and again but he reassured us that it is done in this way. So we went inside, got the menu, ordered a bit of appetizer and drinks, the waiter came back with one piece of seesh kebab cut in two, 3 tiny onion bahjis and two samosas (we ordered meat samosas and got vegetable ones!!!!!) As he gave us the mini portion of appetizer, he also announced that we will get a set menu, which is going to be chicken tika masala, pakora, naan and minced chicken pieces. We were shocked about that, because before entering we were told a different story as per above about the buffet.The food quality below any comment, the chicken tika masala tasted like carrot cake, the rest tasteless, a take away pre packed meal from the sainsburry would have had better taste.Very dissapointed and feel cheated out of hard earned 20.50 GBP. Phew!

Have eaten in here on several occasions, and have also had take-aways. Food and service always excellent, not greasy like some can be. My favourite Indian restaurant in Hampton by far.

Been here a few times and the quality of the food continues to be excellent. My partner (her indoors the governor) had the fish tikka. This time I had the tandoori chilli chicken. With extra chilli's. Yep spicy and good. Well recommended

This is our favourite curry restaurant, the food is excellent, they'll make dishes as spicy hot as you like or even add extra coriander (my favourite herb). Like one of the other reviewers, who said they'd tried Indian restaurants 5 miles around, so did we, all round Twickenham & out to Sheen even, but when we discovered Mahira in our back yard so to speak, we haven't been anywhere else, to eat in or for take out. I'm a glutton for Dhansak, it's my comfort meal & this is the best I've had. The waiters here are very friendly & so sweet, my other half loves the traditional Mukhwahs to freshen breath after the meal so they always make sure to bring him extra, along with the complimentary Brandy & Baily's which he just loves too.

Tried this restaraunt for the first time. Was fantastic. Great service and a nice atmosphere. Food was nicely prepared.Will definately go again

Excellent food and warm friendly welcome.Me and my husband are big curry fans and have been to many curry houses within 5 miles trying to find a good one........we have stopped here!!!!!We come every Friday night and I have never had a bad meal the food is good quality and reasonably priced .Parking can sometimes be awkward as the restaurant is located in a residential area.Well worth a visit !!!!

When in England with inlaws taken to a local indian the waiter had trouble understanding me and bought sparkling water instead of still bottle water my entrée came with main meal I thought what the hell but said nothing when I started my main meal WOW I could not believe how wonderful and I try indian all over the world I thanked all concerned and kept the start to my self I would highly recommend but speak slowly when ordering.

Went with 6 adults. Food was good, though not that spicy, and nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Just a bit slow in ordering drinks and food when we arrived but otherwise lovely service.

We have been using this restaurant fairly regularly since it opened and always enjoy the welcome and consistently high standard of food.

This is by far the best Indian restaurant in the area by a mile....fact! The staff are friendly and welcoming, always smiling. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. The food is of outstanding quality. I have been here several times and the food is always superb and so much more flavoursome than any other Indian I have been to. The only let down is the take away...no way near as good as when we eat in. If you like Indian food then I recommend you try this place.

We decided to try this out as we were looking for somewere nice to eat. The food on that occation was really good, the starter (mixed platter) was reall good and the samosas were well flavoured. The main was also really good.However the Take way was really disappointing, no were near the same standerd, it was almost like a different restaurant.

We were taken, in a group of eight, to this Indian restaurant in Hampton a few days ago. On a Thursday evening we didn't expect it to be heaving, but the quality of the food deserved a much better size of clientele. The waiters were completely charming and accommodating, as you might expect of Banglasdeshis, but the food was uniformly terrific. There wasn't a single dish that wasn't up to scratch. And the draught Kingsisher was in good nick, too. This is a great local restaurant, and very reasonable, too. Our friends, who are local to it, will be going again, often, and so will we when we visit.
