We came back on Saturday night, the first time since the relaunch and we were all just very confused. The decor was exactly the same, as was the music and drinks. The crowd wasn’t “our sort of crowd” and it certainly doesn’t attract the same sort of people as Mayfair or Chelsea. We left shortly after we finished our cheap vodka, watched someone be sick in an ice bucket and got ourselves tangled up in inflatable hen do paraphernalia. Not for us thanks.

We arrived at the venue but it then took about 20 minutes for anyone to come over for us to order our drinks. Spoke to the manager who was lovely and he sent Someone over. The drinks came with barely any mixers so the mixers finished quickly. We had to keep waiting to get a waitress to come over so we could order more. We also kept running out of glasses and had to go to the bar ourselves to get new ones. Our bucket of ice was taken from the table for some reason. Asked one waitress for a third time if she could please bring more mixers and she comes back with no replacement ice bucket and a few cans of tonic. I asked her why there is no ice and where all the other mixers are and she told me to “F*** off”... got the manager involved and he asked her to come over and apologise. She came over and said “sorry if you felt that’s what I said” and basically wouldn’t apologise and denied it. We exchanged words and she then grabbed my arm so my boyfriend stepped in and told her to leave. The doormen came over and eventually the manager asked this waitress to leave for the night. Worst experience I’ve had in a club in Manchester and I won’t return again which is a shame as the door staff are really nice. Also the managers, bar staff, and the other waitresses we fine. It’s unfortunate that we had such a terrible waitress.

What a shame. I thought I was in Lola Los, the decor was great, the menu looked great, when we entered I asked to be sat in a booth, then we were left to wait forever, there were lots of staff wandering around/dancing, but none thought to come over to see if we wanted to be served, when we finally asked, we were told we needed to go to the bar ourselves, yet the staff were wandering around doing nothing 😳. I noticed the floor manager, I’m not sure he or any of the staff had had enough customer care experience to give the customers the attention they deserved. As I approached the bar, I had to lay a couple of drinks napkins on the bar to lean on as it was covered in sugary syrup. When I looked behind the bar they were using ‘Funkin’ juices, when I’m expected to be paying upwards of £9 for a drink I want fresh juices in my cocktails. Very disappointing, I was hoping to visit both Friday night and Saturday. I would recommend whoever owns/manages this bar visits a proper Tiki Bar in the USA or my home bar in Derby to see what it’s all about. Tragic

We had booked Mahiki for our Birthday and were Super excited to try the Manchester Version of the Bar/Club. When we arrived the gentleman on the door was quite rude, one of the guests told him we had a reservation and he proceeded to question us as if we were making it up, he didn’t have a list to check any of the information provided to him, it took me to then repeat all of the same details to him for him to go inside and check the details for him to let us in. Once inside we were seated at the table, the wrong drinks had been put out on the table, when we spoke to the girl looking after the table she said the correct drinks were out she continued to argue and it took me to dig out the email that had been sent to show what drinks we were supposed to have, as well as this there we not enough glasses for the party on the table and when asked for more the waitress did not look to happy about having to get more We arrived as a party of 9 with one guest due to join us later on as he was working, when he arrived was turned away by the bouncer as he said he was not allowed in, it seems somewhat silly that people are being turned away, one when they had a reservation and two when the club itself wasn’t open fully due to the place not being busy enough. We then had another issue with the bill as the payment had been taken from the card provided for the deposit and not the card provided for full payment which led to further confusion. Later in the evening one of the girls left as they were being picked up some of us left the bar with her to say goodbye/ to have a cigarette, upon trying to get back into the bar the bouncer said we were not allowed back in as we were drunk, its seems a little incredulous to me that you can sell people that amount of alcohol and then turn around and say people are too drunk, not one of us were being aggressive or acting out. When one of the girls spoke to the bouncer separately he told her ‘you’re nice you can go back in’ upon doing so she went to find the manager to come outside and to try and resolve the situation. When she went back in she saw that the drinks on the table had been cleared away and other people were sat at the table, which makes you wonder whether they had not allowed us back in to resell the table as there were still plenty of drinks left. She spoke to the manager, David, and asked him to come outside, when they went outside the bouncer reverted back to being rude and told her to ‘F*** off’ as he had ‘been nice’ letting her back in. (very unprofessional & aggressive) when asked his name so we could follow this up with the manager he refused and laughed in her face. We hoped at this point we may be able to come to some sort of resolution however David was little to no help at all. I appreciate that in his role as a manager he has to support the decisions of his staff members however while we were outside we saw the door man turn two other people away which seemed surprising to say the bar wasn’t busy, it was like if you didn’t look the part you were not going to be allowed in. When one of my friends was speaking to David, explaining the situation, he just kept repeating what he was saying back to him and at one point looked over his shoulder and laughed with the bouncer, this was incredibly offensive, rude and unprofessional and the situation was handled terribly, it seems David got bored with dealing with the situation and went back inside. Also we booked a table in the 'party' room which was closed on Saturday evening due to there not being enough people in there to fill the bar, The service we did receive was absolutely appalling. I and others in the party have frequented Mahiki both in Dubai and London and have always had excellent experiences, I am sad to say that it was not the same for the Manchester location. To say Mahiki prides itself on being fun and inclusive is someone what of a joke, from the get go we felt unwelcome and I would say as a new bar that was relatively quiet on a Saturday night should consider being less judgemental on the door and I am sure the other guests that were turned away would certainly agree. It was disappointing from the service to the staff attitude and I can safely say that we will not be returning. I would certainly not recommend it, which is disappointing as we had such high hopes. I have emailed directly to Mahiki however 1 month late i am still awaiting any response - again another example of the terrible customer service

I was worried by some poor reviews on Trip Advisor but having enjoyed the similar restaurant in printworks (pre 20121) and one in Blackpool we wanted to go. It was very good. The grandkids (1 vegetarian the other a fussy eater) had a great time and my wife and I both enjoyed our food.

The restaurant was quiet so our server Charlotte was quick to take our order. The food came quickly and was delicious, we had vouchers for our meal and Charlotte sorted everything out without any problems. Great location, good service and good food.

Ordered using just eat. Have been waiting almost two hours for a drink and a cookie dough and some macarons. No update or anything delivery time keeps getting pushed further and further. Can’t contact them as they don’t have any means to contact them online and no phone number is available. Really disappointed with the lack of any customer service. Ordered this as a treat for myself as I can’t cook due to illness and am very let down.
