Maguires Pie & Mash in South Holland

After several times of having pie mash and liquor delivered it is still spot on and intend on using maguires in the future have highly recommended to my family and friends well done you guys and keep up the good service Pete

From the moment i walked in i was greeted by 2 members of staff, Liam and Chrissy they were both very polite, they took my order and said they would bring it over to my table. Well when it arrived it smelt and looked absolutley delicious and i could'nt wait to get stuck in and OMG it was just like being back in London, the owner had obviously done his work, you could not fault it, it was absolutley spot on. I will definately be back for more. If you have not tried it I highly recommend you do, you wont be dissipointed. The premises were also nice and clean and very inviting.

Had one pie, one mash, and liquor recently as a takeaway. Two things; the mash was awful. There were lots of lumps, and I don't mean tiny ones, plus it was watery, not like proper fluffy mash. The pie was ok and the liquor was ok. When I went back to London about a month ago, I had two pies, two mash, and liquor which came to £6.80. So, in my opinion, this was not worth the money. If I lived closer, I would have taken it back.

We stopped to have a bite to eat while out shopping, this place is a great place, even though they were about to close we were welcomed with a smile and a great meal of pie and mash with liquor. We are originally from London so weren’t expecting too much from the meal, but we were pleasantly surprised, it was delicious, as good, if not better than in the east end of London. Highly recommend.

I’d never had a chance of traditional pie ‘n mash but had always wanted to. Consequently when I saw advertisements for Maguires I was delighted. I am pleased to say the food did not disappoint, it was delicious, hearty and of good proportions. The owner was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Overall a great experience which will be repeated.

A very ambitious adventure has hit the right notes in this sleepy Victorian town. Set up by the apply named ‘Crazy Pie Guy’ you can get traditional pie & mash with the special liquor to match, fancy jellied eels then this is new on the menu. A very very warm & friendly welcome and like typical east end a story is there if you want it..... Next phase apparently is van deliveries to other parts of the county. The golden pastry pies are packed full of top quality lean minced beef with just the right amount of stock. The mash is just mashed potatoes, plain and simple. Liquor is a parsley based green delight and a must to complete this traditional dish. If you like chilli vinegar well you can get this here too and it is HOT! The 'Crazy Pie Guy' caters for vegetarians with a home-recipe cheese and onion equivalent to the meat pie (three types of cheese, three types of onion) which will be like no cheese pie you have had before! All served up by friendly staff in spotlessly clean premises with some quality East End banter (if you want it!). If you are a 'traditional London style' pie'n'mash-fork and spoon-salt, pepper and vinegar fan, whose taste buds and senses fancy a trip down memory lane you cannot fail to fall in love with Maguire's Pie and Mash and if you've never had the pleasure before get down there and give it a try!

Had heard lots of good things and was definitely not disappointed. Went in with the Mrs tonight and had an excellent mince beef pie so good infact that I decided to try the cheese and onion pie too 😁 after an incredible meal we sat and chatted with the Crazy Pie Guy who is passionate about his pies and is a genuinely nice guy to boot. Overall I cant rate this place highly enough. So if you are from the South and are missing your pie or are like me and have never tried liquor before then Magiures is a must.

It's Saturday evening. I don't want to cook but I also don't fancy junk food. What is there besides chips and pizza and burgers and chinese? I just want something tasty and filling. A proper dinner! But I don't want to eat out either... Then I remembered Long Sutton has Pie and Mash! And they do takeaway! I can't comment on authenticity, as I've never had it before but oh my! It was lovely! No junk in sight, just creamy mash and a crispy-topped pie with lots of filling. A really generous serving of liquor too, which was delicious. A great takeaway alternative.

The only thing I miss from London is my pie and mash, I had to check out Maguires, I thought it came really close to the real east end pie and mash 👌 and will go back and bring my daughter.

Great to have a pie and mash shop but the price is twice as much as London’s G Kelly’s Roman road. Shame coz I would have popped in every week. Love it.

Our first visit to Maguire's pie and mash. Food delicious, atmosphere very nice. Recommended as a London type pie and mash cafe.

We tried Maguire's and I loved the pies great filling, tasty and with a beautifully crisp pastry, everything I like in a pie, very reasonable pricing too.
