Best fish and Chips ...we've had for a long time..definitely be getting again..delivery great and bang on time..excellent.

Oh my lord! The fish & chips were the best I have tasted in years. A friend recommended I try it as I was dropping her home I thought why not! Perfect Saturday nights dinner I would definitely use this chip shop again

Tried this place for the first time on good Friday and it was delicious. The fish was nice and fresh and cooked to perfection. Not too greasy. Greats chips and my son really enjoyed his chicken nuggets. Definitely going to be our new local.

Have tried a lot of fish and chips around the area and this is the best fish🐟 and chips I've ever tasted the haddock was lovely . best batter . chips were spot on so what ever oil you are using please please don't change to a different one. it gets very busy here you can call in or phone your order in or have it delivered witch I think is easier you can park outside

Throughout the lock down The Magpie chippy has safely continuing to serve their very good fish and chips either from the shop or by delivery to your door with payment by card available. Well done Maggie!

Had our fish and chips from here on several occasions very clean, and well presented shop, and the fish was freshly made, chips were spot on. great chippy.

So pleased to say that this local fish and chips shop is still top notch, in fact back to number one for miles! Excellent freshly cooked fish and sumptuous chips both in dripping at very competitive prices. Professional, welcoming staff offer traditional fish and chips, pizza (with lots of varied toppings) battered sausages, curry sauce, all the usual chippy menu and loads more. Delivery service too.

I just got 2 fish and chips from here Chips were soggy fish hard looked like it had been in fryer twice was disgusting waste of money won't be ordering again

Great chips in fact I would say best I have ever eaten. We stopped here and ordered 2 sausage in batter with chips and they were fantastic, fresh and a reasonable price.... watch the seagulls though they are nasty

Got to be the best fish and chip in north shields and the surrounding area. Excellent valve for money, all nice and freashlly cooked. Food range,s from everything a fish and chip would have plus you can get Pizza and kebabs. They also do a very quick delivery service. Lovely friendly staff always willing to help out and always smiling. Give it a go you wont be disappionted.

Visited yesterday to get fish and chips for the family, chips great as usual but the three pieces of fish were disappointing, dried up and rubbery and really upset the kids who were looking forward to it. It is a shame as this was the first time that it has been less than perfect, hopefully it was just a glitch.

Love going here for the chips and gravy always a busy time when I go here but good service and very happy and friendly keep up the good food

The staff are friendly, The food tastes good and they have really good prices. Even better they now do deliveries.

This clean and welcoming fish and chips shop is simply excellent, prepared in the good old fashioned way the food is perfect, firm fresh fish, crisp golden chips and smoky savaloys to dream of! A full selection of other favourites and drinks as well. Once sampled, the rest can only ever be second best.
