Waiting 2 hours and and still waiting- you tell me what it tastes like! Not even hungry now... after spending £42 for nothing - Just Eat? Eat what? Certainly won't be ordering again, especially when phone to be told other customers have been waiting longer....breakfast anyone?

This is the first time that I have ordered from a Chinese takeaway in 5 years and I’m absolutely amazed by the extent of the quality I enjoyed from the spicy rice noodle pork dish that I ordered and the customer service. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food!

We’ve been going here for a good year or more now and it’s been brilliant. Tonight though 3rd Feb, we’re very disappointed. Chips cold and hard. Chicken chow main tastes different, doesn’t taste right, noodles aren’t cooked enough, chicken feels like sandwich chicken you get at supermarkets, and there were more veg in it before, mums chicken fried rice was horrible she said, and dad beef curry off.

Never ever had a bad chinese from here hats off to the chef !!

Ordered through just eat, it was an hour late, we were 10 minutes drive from the shop but beyond that the food was nasty, the salt and pepper chicken was very peppery in parts and badly overcooked, the duck was slimy and went in the bin, the onion rings were like doughnuts, taking too many orders and cooking it all badly is my guess, first and last time used

1st time ordering and won't ever be doing it again.. the soup was incredibly salty, after a few mouthfuls it was inedible. The "salt and pepper" chips was just chips covered in excess salt... same with the salt and pepper chicken. And to top it off, found a small piece of what looked like plastic in my chow main. Incredibly disappointed as I ordered it for my birthday meal.

Also hot, tasty and really good portion sizes. Definitely a recommend. We order from here but live three miles away as it beats the chinese takeouts local to us

Never had anything other than a great experience from Magic Wok & this time was no different. The food was well cooked, well seasoned & the portions generous. The delivery was on time & it was still piping hot. The current delivery timescale works for me - personally I'd rather wait for well cooked food than have badly cooked food delivered quickly.

Shocking customer service. My mum called them to warn them that the meal they delivered was too salty to eat. She was ranted at down the phone by the chef in Chinese then they hung up and won't answer her calls. I rang them myself to ask why they had treated her this way and before I had finished my first sentence the phone was hung up on me. They clearly don't take criticism very well!

January 2023: I've twice used Magic Wok (today was the second time actually) this month. I found out from the lovely assistant that Chow Mein is pronounced MANE. Took me years to find this out!! Just finished the Chow Mein (stuffed to the gills now) after I added some black pepper and Soy sauce - I love salty things sadly. I NEED to know how they cook the onions to make them so sweet. When I make either Chinese or Indian/Pakistani dishes I cannot get the sweetness from the onions. Should I add sugar once I've fried them? Anyhow, this outlet is my 'go to' for Chinese takeaways.

Food came on time and tasted ok Woke up the next morning with stomach cramps and diarrhoea and sickness. Food must not have been fresh and reheated.

All I have to say is totally unacceptable as a fast food Chinese!!! They have deleted my wife's complaint to cover up what they did last night.. all I can say is please please DONT ORDER FROM THEM!

Absolutely disgusting service! First of all food was delivered late... then when it did come it was delivered in a car where the passenger was smoking so ended up not eating my food. Rang up to complain and ask for a refund. After over an hour of waiting for our refund to come back we rang the restaurant to be told we wouldn't be getting one as the driver denied everything! My husband ended up driving up to get refund. Ordered from somewhere else and I'm so glad we did in the end! AVOID

If I could rate this service as a minus it would get minus 5 stars. We ordered a take away through Just Eat when it arrived the order was incorrect we were short of our starters for two (£10). The lady who answered the phone was not helpful at all offering to send out the starter in 40 minuets. When I told her that it was not acceptable she told us to contact Just eat and hung up. To make things worse the quality of the food that was delivered was not inspiring, it was cold and lacked flavor. Taking on board the advice given I tried to contact Just Eat to complain and ended up going around in circles. The order we placed was not even showing on our account. I feel we have been totally ripped off...

I have avoided this Chinese for quite some time because of negative comments from people. Recently decided to try it again for myself and was totally amazed how good it was. I have now had a takeaway from them each week for the last 4 weeks and every one of them tasted amazing. I usually go to the imperial or peking city, but magic wok is now my favourite. Very tasty and very consistent. Highly recommended.

I spent over £40 on food, £6 delivery fee. Food didn't arrive in expected delivery time 1 hour later so I phoned take away said it had been left on my doorstep 20mins ago. Found my food on a neighbours doorstep damaged and cold. Takeaway agreed to take away the damaged food a replace it with fresh. Delivery driver came back an hour later and collected damaged food but didn't bring any fresh! When I tried calling the Chinese back they became rude and kept ending the phone call. So I had to pay for a taxi their and back £14 to have it out in person. The issue wasn't resolved and now I'm waiting for just eat to refund me avoid at all cost!

Dont go anymore since it changed hands. The tinned sauces arent as good as the tinned sauces the previous owners used.

Back in January 2021 gave a 5* review but since then they have started adding an INSANE AMOUNT OF SALT to the Singapore noodles. Literally taste like taking a shot of salt!!! They must not taste there food. I dunno if it’s changed hands or got a new terrible chef that needs the sack or what. Starters appear still to be great fortunately. Unfortunately last 3 times has been like this so we wont be ordering again :(

Delivery is always ridiculously late, food is poor and the staff have a really bad attitude, especially if you call them with a complaint. Never ordering from here again.

Haven't been for a while and just went for some salt and pepper chips. Had before and they were great. These were far too salty and i just binned them. Can understand why it only has a food hygiene rating of 1. Do yourself a favour and avoid going here.

Used to be a very good Chinese order for the first time in a while and it was absolutely vile I had a chewy fatty salt and pepper chicken piece I had a few mouthfuls and it went in the bin absolutely disgusting certainly will not be ordering again

My problem seems to be a common problem with this dodgy restaurant. I orded food at 6.30pm through Just Eat. Expected delivery was quoted at 7.35 pm At 8.15 nothing had arrived so I enquired and was given an updated arrival of 8.35....we were going out at 9pm so cancelled the order through Just Eat. There was no response from their phone to speak direct to them. Immediate response was the food had been prepared and was out for delivery. Cancellation Refused.. The Just Eat track then showed that the food had been delivered.. At 9pm we left the house... At 10.45pm they attempted delivery . My neighbour logged the time they banged on my door. REFUSED REFUND OF £39.45 This doesn't end here. They stole my money

Sadly we ordered a Thai green curry and it was inedible I couldn’t talk after one mouthful as it was too spicy and I like spicy food so not me being too sensitive. Upon ringing them back to inform them they reluctantly allowed us to change and go back and pick it up whilst our other dishes went cold. They asked for the curry back, which I found this odd as that’s not very covid safe. I hope they didn’t give it to other customers. Also our order was over £25 and they didn’t give us the free mini veg rolls as advertised. Although I would have to check the 2020 menu as I have a 2019 menu and could be out of date offer. I often find the owner not very customer friendly, no real hello and thank yous, don’t really make you feel welcome. However my girlfriend said the opposite so might be just me!!😩 Over all pretty poor.

Used to be reasonably ok but in recent months has definitely gone downhill! Food tasteless, loads of sauce but very little substance. Person answering phone is often rude as though it’s an inconvenience to have to actually speak to a customer. Delivery guys normally friendly and mostly delivered within half an hour although at times have had the wrong order delivered and on ringing they are not happy to be told they’ve got it wrong and are not helpful in getting you what you have ordered!

Discusting food total waste of money

Their chicken literally broke my tooth filling. Imagine that during this pandemic and no operating dentists! It's nothing like Chinese food I've had from multiple places before. They literally served inedible chicken known as chicken nuggets, with fried chips. Their chicken chow mein didn't have that chow mein taste you'd expect from a Chinese place. Waste of money, but more importantly my tooth.

Orderd for 19 00 turn up at 1815 asked for King Prawn and mushroom got Chicken instead tasted awful my wife got the totally wrong dish told price would be £23.50 turned out to be £24 50 total RIP off won't be going again so people save your money asham I can't rate it any lower

Absolute farce. Placed an order today at 7.30 pm for delivery. Said it would be with us by 8.00pm ,(hard to believe i know as we are 4 miles away). At 9.15 pm still no food so husband rang to see where it was. Answer oh i will call the delivery driver and ring you back no phone number taken. At 9.30pm i rang answer oh we are just starting to cook it and it will be with you in 30 mins i asked if he had my phone no in case the driver was lost and he gave me 3 numbers which were not mine so i cancelled the order. At 11.05 pm the order arrived (3 1/2 hours later from ordering) it was turned away. This is a joke. Dont lie and lead people on if you are not coping and cant deliver within a reasonable time. We certainly wont be calling you again.

When food arrived the spare ribs in syrup was in a polystyrene container and the syrup had gone everywhere. All over the rest of the food, leaked through the bag and all over my kitchen. Because of the delay the food was not warm and the overpriced crispy duck was soggy and unpleasant. I called to complain and they said they’d send me out a whole new order. As this order had taken an hour and I had children to feed I said that that was not an option. The only options were either a) they pick up the food and give me a full refund or b) I would accept a partial refund and clean all the food and re-heat it. At first they said I would need to come into the store to discuss it with them, clearly oblivious to Lockdown until I mentioned that it was not possible to discuss this face to face. They finally said they would send up a partial refund. I spent ages cleaning the individual items and then having to reheat them before we could eat what turned out to be very average food. After an hour I rang to ask where the partial refund was, they said it was on its way and would be 15 mins. 75 minutes later I called back to be told that they weren’t going to send a partial refund, despite telling me twice that it was on its way. When I argued that that was totally unacceptable they said they would need to come to my home to assess where the syrup had leaked. I explained that as it was nearly three hours since it had leaked everywhere I had (unsurprisingly) cleaned the mess up, and also said that they would not be allowed in my home due to Lockdown. That was twice that they wanted to breach Lockdown rules - they had total disregard for the global pandemic. I tried calling tonight and was told that someone would call me back. Three hours later I get a call but they thought I was an existing customer and as soon as they realised it was me they hung up. It’s not about the money - it is about the fact that they lied repeatedly. I had every right to say that due to the fact it arrived in a damaged state I wanted them to pick it up and get a full refund, they opted for a partial refund and then reneged. Disgusting, dishonest - avoid at all costs.

I used to go here a lot food treated good but stopped since chewing on a small stone in my egg fried rice! If I hadn't have found it I could have shattered a tooth or choked on it. I'm sure there was a reason but I don't go there anymore incase.

When we opened the cartons there was hardly any food in them. And what was there was awful. It used to be ok but they dont seem to care about the customer base that was there before they took over. Never again. I woild use one a little further away in future

supposed to be crispy chicken , it was soggy in sauce , suggest they serve sauce in container , pancake rolls just got noodles in , Had to reheat as brought to me in plastic containers , would have been hot brought in foil ones .Special foo yung only one king prawn in and very little slivers of chicken and pork , Terrible takeaway

Epic. When it’s takeaway night, we always come to Magic Wok and it never disappoints. We get the Chrispy Chicken in OK sauce, special fried rice, various starters and to be honest they are consistently great Many people complain about the delivery times, but what do people expect on Friday/Saturday nights?! Everywhere is busy and it’s worth the wait anyway!

We like to eat here cause we live so close by. It is decent food and it is quick delivery. They are lively and friendly if you go instore.

Missed half our order and ruined everyone's tea took half hour to fetch rest of it . won't be using again

Went for a takeaway from Magic Wok on Saturday. We have previously been a regularly here but were left very disappointed. The fried rice and Singapore vermicelli were both very bland. The service was poor, our order took a long time to be made and the establishment was chaotic; it was clear they were getting confused with orders as staff came running out afterwards with things they had forgotten to put in our bag! Wondering if the place has changed hands, the service in the past had always been great. Such a shame, this was our favourite takeaway, but now will be looking elsewhere.

This place is not even worth giving a 1 star rating. You would get better service from Ryan air when on strike. We put in an order on just eat and it was supposed to be ready for 6.30 So walked round to collect it. My just eat order was updated to say it was collected at 6.45. Still sat waiting for it at 7.30. When questioned the lady running it couldn't have cared less if she tried. People were coming in after we had and ordering food and getting it before we did. All she did was shout at the delivery drivers. The food evetually was ready at 7.45. When questioned why they had lied on just eat to say the order had been picked up the lady staff member just shouted we are busy. But you lied on just eat. I honestly can't explain how appalling they were. Too many orders and couldn't cope and didn't care. We would have got our food quicker if we had flown to China and back. As for the food it didn't make up for the appalling service. It was indifferent and wasn't worth the wait at all. I wasted too many hours of my life over that meal which I won't get back. Dont waste your time or money on this shambles of a take away go elsewhere.

Our favourite Chinese by a country mile!

We ordered a meal for 6 via Just Eat for collection. We were told it would be ready for 1830 so walked down to collect.When we arrived there were loads of people waiting and as time went by more people arrived and no food was served. The woman on the counter didn’t care, ignored people and carried on taking orders on the phone despite it being obvious they couldn’t cope with what was already on order. When we enquired after 15 minutes as to where it was we were ignored for a while before being told it would be ready soon.The wait continued. People were getting more and more irate and the staff couldn’t care less. People started trying to cancel orders only to be told food would be 1 minute which it obviously wasn’t. We eventually got our food 1 HOUR after the allotted time with no apology or any form of recompense to say sorry.The whole place was unable to cope and was out of its depth but failed to try and put it right. The woman behind the counter constantly lied, ignored people and was downright rude. This is the worst customer service I have come across in over 40 years and will never return here. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy any of the above atrocities that this place threw up.

Chicken in batter was black or bruised and some wasn't even chicken but PRAWNS... me and my family all feel ill after eating what we manages from such awful food. Never will order from.yhis hole again.

I have been using the Magic Wok for many years under different ownership and in general it has always been good. However it is now under new ownership snd the staff are rude and have no idea about customer service. I regulally spent ovef £20 on a family takeaway most weeks. I will not be returning after the shocking service tonight when i left without the food i ordered after waiting 30 mins. Totally unacceptable response when i asked how much longer it eould take. So i would recommend placing your order with an alternative tske away.

Absolutely disgusting. Ordered sweet & sour chicken. Bbq wings & chips. All went in the bin. Batter was falling off the chicken (if you could call it chicken). Chicken wings were mush & everything was cold. Wouldn’t even give it to the dogs. Waste of £15. Crumpets for tea it is. Magic wok sort it out. Won’t let me post without giving a star but you get nil from us

Food came out quicker than normal but it was dreadful. Very salty and the beef was very poor quality. Being going there for years but no more.

Nice selection. Good portion sizes. Decent waiting time. Pleasant staff. Rice dishes are what we generally get, or the sweet and sour pork Cantonese style. Ribs and spring rolls are good too.

I have ordered from here on numerous occasions and it has regularly been terrible service. We have ordered to deliver and it has never been on time. When rang to communicate this our food has not even began to get cooked and this is not just on one occasion. It is a joke how many times this has happened, our order has been cancelled on more than one occasion. Terrible service, don’t bother ordering!!

May have well been delivered from China itself! It was more than 1 and a half hours late to begin with, then the staff lied and said it was "on its way"... B.S. Avoid these jokers, as its like waiting for a christmas miracle for them to even deliver the food, let alone customers actually getting to eat it!

I was served something both inedible and unidentifiable.It is now in the hands of a third party and I cannot say much else.The meal ordered was one I have had many,many times and one that I am obviously familiar with,it was however the first time I had used this outlet. Needless to say I will not be using them again.

I would like to say that the customer service at this restaurant was absolutely diabolical and was horrendous. The order was 20mins later than it should have be as they came to the house first to see if we were a real order, they then told us they had to go back to get our food. Then when we got it, the food was not much better than the service, the chips were cold and soggy and the other food was nearly cold and it didn't taste as nice as it could have. This may be one of the worst takeaways I been to.

We have had a few meals from here and always posted great comments. But went through just eat and so disappointed to the fact we won't be using this place again. The crispy beef was shockingly bad. It was all dried up and not edible. The rest of the meal was cold. Seemed like it had been stood for too long under a warmer. Now this could be the just eat being part of the problem as it took one hour for the food to arrive. 21 quid down the drain as far as we are concerned. Sorry but you are only as good as your last meal and that was terrible.

Verry friendly staff and Yummy food

Popped in for some chips to go with homemade curry. Very disappointed! Not like Chinese chips. More like oven chips!!!! I can make them at home.

Had a take away with friends from here ordered on just eat. They phoned up to check the order and he estimated arrival time was spot on. The food itself was really flavoursome. Portions were a large size. Will definitely order from here again.

We spent a very busy day .moving house for friends and were so hungry once we had done we needed some good tasty food. Never been to this place but thought we would try it as it was open until 11.30pm. Our normal takeaway at crossflats was closing when I called so we decided to give this place a try. It was absolutely lovely and now our normal Chinese at crossflats has lost a customer as in future we will be going to magic wok. It really is magic as we were all in a state of hunger but after a very good meal which we thoroughly enjoyed we were cured. Full marks magic and see you again and again and again. Glad you open later than the rest and now you have yourselves some new customers from us and we will be singing your praises to all our friends and colleagues. Loved it. X

If you want rock hard chicken or hairs in your fried rice or hairs in your noodles or even better beef curry with no beef and delivered cold then this is the one for you . Or if your hungry just have some jam and bread. Honest I could be sick thinking about pulling them hairs from My mouth dirty dirty people 😷💩 give it a miss nil points from me

Ordered something which they had described wrong and refused to swap the item for another one. They said its how they usually do it but we have ordered for 20 years plus and never have they been this way. My child has allergies so we wouldn't have ordered if we had known so then she only had chips for her tea! Discusting won't be ordering from them again!

The Magic Wok offers a home delivery service that is very efficient and we had our meal delivered within 30 minutes of ordering.

Best ever Chinese Take Away in Bradford, give a try and you'll see with your own eyes, It's a family Chinese take away the owner is very friendly. I would recommend to anyone 😊
