Had a lovely meal with friends and was greeted with a warm welcome

Having not long moved back to the village we used the Grove as a starting point when we were meeting friends. The place appeared very run down and is in need of serious renovation. The other customers looked in need of renovation too Our friends could not park, we were told the car park is for management and people staying. In a village where other establishments are making a real effort the Grove is letting the side down

Had our Grandsons first birthday party here on Sat the 25th, what a great little pub/venue, perfect for the 25 invited guests, all staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, the bar team had changed shifts by the time we left so could thank personally, so thought I'd do it here. The only complaint I have is that I live too far away to have this as my local. Thank you highly recommend!

Called for lunch today with my husband ordered 2 of the specials one was avocado and feta on bloomer toast the other a vegetable omelette and 2 black Americanos The coffee arrived first it looked like pond water and tasted like it too The young girls serving were miserable and unwelcoming When the meals arrived the avocado was black and the feta wasn’t fresh it tasted sour My husband’s omelette looked watery and burnt I returned my avocado on toast and said I am unable to eat this for the reasons mentioned above I was met with a eye roll no apology she then went on the slam 2 slices of toast in the toaster without asking if I wanted it replacing so I said excuse me can I just have a ham sandwich please she then tutted and what bread do you want it on ! So rude When the sandwich arrived it had limp salad cheap cut ham and a few stale crips , still no apology or a refund At this point I was so disappointed and with the customer service and quality of food for the price I didn’t mention the coffee tasting rank I would not recommend this cafe the staff need training in customer service and the quality of food needs to improve or lower the prices

Popped in while car having new tyres around the corner. The guys there recommended it and they weren’t wrong. Great coffee, fresh tasty sandwiches and lovely staff. Clean and tidy with a nice atmosphere.
