Drawn in by the promise of cocktails (for me) and beer for the husband, a really nice micro brewery... but I did feel a bit "odd one out" wanting a cocktail... and wasn't sure where these were served so had a beer instead!! Nice place to go, if you're wanting more of a beer tasting maybe pop here in the day as it gets quite busy in the evening.

Interesting bar, it was a Wednesday so very quiet but the place still had a good atmosphere. Good choice of drinks to pick from. All very clean and Covid safe

We had to book. Naturally! And our table needed a full clean before we could be seated which took a bit of time, but does demonstrate they're taking their responsibilities seriously. Shown to our table by the very friendly and approachable staff. Drinks menus were clear and we tried the cocktails which were very good. And good beers as well - it is a Tap House afterall. Stayed for a couple of drinks before moving on to eat elsewhere but we would have happily stayed longer. The atmosphere in all pubs is a bit stilted but this place will absolutely be one of the trendiest and busiest places in town when we get back to normality.. I'll be going again when I go back to Holmfirth,

due to social distancing rules in place here ..we found it stressful...as their were seven of us unfortunately apparently..six is the limit....so had to sit on 2 seperate tables and shout to each other..awkward....great decor and vibe to the place...city centre feel to it..went to a few more bars in holmfirth with less restrictions.....

Lovely food excellent coffee and good value for money. Owner and staff friendly and efficient. Good variety of hot and cold food and drinks. Something for everyone from a piece of cake to a full dinner. Would recommend to anyone in or around cleckheaton town centre.

Carr StreetMyself, and some family including 8 children came to vanilla bean 2 weeks back and had such a pleasant experience. We all had dinner, drinks and pudding and every single meal was lovely. My 11 year old niece had the lamb shank and she said she loved it. The lady that served us, I believe her name was Carol Was such a delight. She was so happy, lovely with the children and nothing was too much. I know the food plays a massive part in eating out but so does the staff. If I was to go to a restaurant and have rude staff it would make me not want to go back. Carol was so welcoming so thank you for that. I was Carol in a shop not long after going to vanilla bean and she recognised me from our outing to vanilla bean and again she was just so pleasant and lovely! I’d definitely say she’s a credit to this place. We will definitely be back. Thank you x

283 Halifax RoadWent after looking for a local pub that we have not visited for a meal. Delighted to find this great place as not many good places around Mirfield. A very helpful landlord and great food at reasonable prices. We went around 4.30 without booking and got the last table. Recommend booking in advance. Menus varied and Sunday lunch menu looks really good so we will have to try it and feed back. Can recommend the 10oz gammon steak which comes with egg and pineapple. Also I think that the chips are homemade! They are having issues with their website but you can find menus on facebook. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.

38 Wakefield RoadClub Classics night at Smile bar was absolutely brilliant ! Old skool vibes with fave dj’s, wicked tunes , live sax and bongos! Fantastic sound , not overcrowded with a great atmosphere throughout. All credit to the bar staff at Smile , well organised queueing system , efficient and professional . Huge thank you Smile for hosting such an amazing event ! Smiles all round! 😊💛😊
