As locals we wanted to pop out for Sunday brunch…initially tried Cerney whereby the wait times was ridiculous…crowds everywhere! Then called around Ciren to be told continuously that no, they either were not or were no longer serving brunch at 12.15! Then we thought about this cafe which we have driven past but never visited. Called and spoke to a lovely person who confirmed that yes that would be no problem! The cafe is tucked away next to the waterski lake and a hidden gem! The menu is varied and the staff are friendly and keen to help. You can see that hygiene is being taken seriously with staff reassuringly cleaning down tables, chairs and menus. As the sun came out we decided to eat outside. The outdoor area is really pretty with tables and umbrellas to give shade, overlooking the lake. Food was delicious and well presented on pretty plates. Likewise the cut glass flute used to serve my Prosecco brought a smile to my face. Do not hesitate to stop here for food…I have no doubt we will become new regulars!

Went here lunch time Friday 20th August. We were advised if quiet a wait for food. Wait time was about 30 mins in the end. The two sandwiches we had were worth the wait. Fresh tasty bread. Door stop style white bread and granary bread respectively. There’s a children’s play area here so perfect for families. Highly recommended and will return

Another great brunch at Magic Beans. Great food, great staff in a great, dog friendly location. Covid precautions are also excellent.

A lovely, family and dog friendly cafe by the lake with a full and delicious menu for breakfast, brunch, lunch or yummy cakes and coffee 😊 A very COVID-safe environment for a yummy bite to eat.

Fuimos aquí para almorzar el cinco de septiembre. Teníamos el sándwich de pollo con tocino y lechuga y también el plato de carne siete. Ambos fueron ejemplares. El pan estaba súper sabroso y muy, muy fresco. El personal es muy amable y nos hizo sentir bienvenidos. Nos sentamos afuera, lo cual fue una delicia. Estaban haciendo donas frescas como especial del día, y también una increíble variedad de pasteles, delicioso café y tés especiales. Altamente recomendado

We called in to the magic bean cafe after reading the reviews on trip advisor but I was a little disappointed, there seemed to be done refurbishment work underway and the outside eating areas seemed to have been added in hast, due to the rain they were water lodged with rain pipes pouring next to us while we eat. Once completed the refurb will be lovely I’m sure, we had to walk this way back due to the water and it looked amazing. The food is out of this world! and really affordable. In summer with refurbishment completed I’d recommend booking in advance, with a garden tidy this will be a wonderful, affordable afternoon out for a young family.

As a family with two young children, we absolutely love Magic Beans and also really enjoyed visiting the play area when it was last open (Hocus Pocus Play). The cafe itself has lots of toys and colouring sheets available to keep the children amused while you are waiting for food, and the food is delicious! The children's menu has lots of choice and my kids especially love the children's pancakes with fruit and yogurt and also the nibbles platter with various fruit and veggies and dip. The sandwiches are delicious made with fresh thickly sliced bread (favourite is bacon brie and cranberry) and are very filling. The staff are super helpful, welcoming and great with kids and the entire experience is very family-friendly. Hocus Pocus play is a small but perfectly formed area ideally suited to babies, toddlers and pre-school children, with lots of sensory play and areas to spark their imagination. It's not a big soft-play frame so may not be suited to older very active children. We have attended several parties here and my little one had his 3rd birthday here and they have been wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. The outside area is also lovely in warm weather with more things to amuse the children. Can't wait to drop in now that they are open again and try out the new menu - the sundaes and Pippins donuts look amazing! :-)

I went with my husband and in-laws last Saturday. It was lovely and hot so we sat outside. The views were beautiful and the staff were so friendly. My husband and I had sandwiches, to which they accommodated to my picky taste. My in-laws had burgers, my mother-in-law is vegetarian and had the veggie burger which she said was lovely. Coffee milkshakes, cake and ice cream for dessert, of which we all thoroughly enjoyed! I was also very impressed at the care and safety steps they have taken due to the pandemic. Highly recommend! We will certainly return!!!

Well worth a visit. Excellent choice of teas and coffee. Difficult to resist lovely choice of cakes. Friendly staff nice atmosphere

This place was perfect for us. The staff were very attentive in particular the South African waiter. He was so cheerful, helpful, happy and accommodating. Our children and our dog were well looked after. Food was delicious. We returned the day after and had the same great service. Thanks.

What more could you ask for!! Beautiful surroundings, great sensory play area and the food is outstanding. Highly recommend to everyone

Loved this place! Really friendly staff, very helpful. Even brought out a treat for our dog, which made her day! Great food, lovely setting. Immaculately clean and all COVID guidelines followed to the letter. Very impressive. Have already been back.

Full off my child is wonderfully mums who think the world revolves around the brats they have produced. It’s no wonder hubby works late and is probably having liaisons with the nanny. An awful pretentious set of people frequent this place.

Have visited previously and had mixed feelings but left extremely disappointed today. The staff are usually very friendly but often seem a bit overwhelmed and unable to cater for that many people. Today we arrived at about 12:30 and I grabbed some menus from the main counter, in view of at least one staff member. We got ourselves a table, decided what we’d like to eat, went up to order and were told that the kitchen was being closed due to a children’s party at 1pm, so we couldn’t have any food!!! There were no signs anywhere about this and others also left angry. At least two families were clearly fed up at being kicked out of the ‘soft play’ as they needed to make way for the party, only to then be told they couldn’t have lunch either! We’ve visited previously and used the soft play which is a really strange mix and feels very much like a DIY job, probably because it is. It feels very cobbled together in places and areas that are still under construction are open for use. These sections are hard wood and not soft at all. The business owners are building it themselves I believe, and it shows. As it’s a relatively new, small, family run affair, customers are, I imagine, very important to keep hold of, but I doubt we’ll return any time soon or recommend anyone else visit here.

The staff were all so welcoming and inviting. The cafe is next to some beautiful lakes. I had a full breakfast which was ok.

Tuve una experiencia de servicio al cliente terrible en la cafetería cuando visitaba a amigos para almorzar y compraba tres comidas para adultos. Un miembro del personal muy grosero dijo que no podía alimentar a mi hijo de 7 meses con el puré que había traído de casa mientras estaba en medio de su almuerzo. Tienen la política de no permitirle consumir alimentos que no se compraron en la cafetería de sus instalaciones, y esto se aplica a los bebés pequeños. No distinguen entre las diferentes necesidades de un bebé y los niños recién destetados. Desde entonces me han dicho que tienen bolsas que puedes comprar en el café, pero esto no se comunicó mientras estuve allí y si no estás dispuesta a dárselas a tu bebé, no serás bienvenido. Muy entristecido y decepcionado de que un café que se supone que está orientado hacia los niños es tan intolerante y poco comprensivo para los padres.

Had a lovely lunch for all the family, from a Great Grandmother to 1 year toddler. Food lovely and fresh, HUGE chunky bread sandwiches, but also beans on (thin) toast with no crusts for Great Grandmother plus little snacks and cheese on toast for toddler. Cakes delicious too. Lovely wooden toys and lots of books to keep the younger ones occupied and optional indoor play area. Nice outlook over the lake too and not far for a walk around the lakes after. Staff were very accomodating and Disabled toilet!

Maravillosa área de juego suave diseñada con imaginación: un pequeño cargo por uso, mientras que el resto de la familia puede relajarse y disfrutar de la deliciosa comida y el café. Definitivamente vale la pena el desvío

Visité aquí con mi madre y mis hijas de 3 y 1 años. La comida era deliciosa, buena elección ya un precio razonable. Nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos y a nadie le importó todo el lío que mi hijo de un año hizo con su almuerzo. Trenes y juguetes fabulosos para mantener a mi hijo de 3 años entretenido mientras esperábamos nuestra comida también. Pagamos una pequeña cantidad para usar la nueva área de juegos que fue excelente. Recomiendo encarecidamente y sin duda volveremos!

Llegó a tomar una taza de café mientras caminaba. El café estaba delicioso. No teníamos hambre, pero hay una buena variedad de comida a precios razonables. Hay un menú infantil y una pequeña zona de juegos para niños. Hay asientos afuera, pero el único aspecto negativo es que no hay una gran vista del lago. En general, vale la pena una visita.

Delicious coffee and cake. Bacon and egg sarnie for hubby got top marks! Great place to relax, grandchildren love it. Loads of parking, just about to make second visit in one day!
