Maenporth Beach Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Great little cafe. Can get busy under the covers when wet weather (it’s Cornwall) but this place does fabulous coffee and some of the best chips.

A nice friendly cafe on a good beach for new surfers. The breakfast roll was surprisingly good and great value. Overall a good cafe and one of the better ones in Cornwall

Great spot on the beach for a coffee and a bacon sarnie. Their coffee is ok, it's from a machine not an espresso machine, but their food is incredible. Pull up a spot on the picnic benches or plant yourself in the sand on the beach.

A convenient spot for lunch on a longish walk on the coast path. The sandwich and ciabatta were good BUT……… What is the point of a beach cafe in Cornwall that doesn’t even have a Cornish pasty on the menu? Had been really looking forward to one and ended up very ☹️.

Parking used to be free or £3 for the day. No a parking meter charging a lot more. It does not make it worth popping down for food or a coffee only to pay expensive parking charges ontop of a coffee. My advice is head to other local beaches for free local parking and use the money you save on an extra cake.

Visited here on a lovely sunny day, lovely coffee and a nice quick bite to eat too. Carparking is cheap at £1.20/hour right on the beech front with great views across the water.

Staff look bored with minimal friendliness. Price not reflected in the service.

Loved this cafe on the beach, one of our faves and the food is amazing

£4 charge for parking, which is all day, I thought very reasonable. We had snacks and drinks from the cafe while at the beach which included cappuccino, blueberry & lemon cake and ice cream. All were excellent and definately going back for more, even if its only for cake and ice cream. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though it was pouring down with rain we still had a great morning.

Stopped here for a flatwhite and a sausage butty this morning to give me some energy for a decent coast walk to Mawman Church, looping back out to the headland!butty was decent, nice bun....flatwhite OK but didn't seem to be that strong, but then it was an automated barista machine.

By far our favourite cafe. It’s in a beautiful location, fantastic menu with absolutely delicious food, and the staff/service is second to none! HIGHLY recommend a visit!

The most amazing bacon barm (sorry bap). The bacon was excellent, barm sublime and you know you are onto a winner when you feel like you need to hit the gym to do biceps curls to be able to lift it because its so full of bacon. Photos do not do it justice.

Gorgeous location, lovely little cafe, and fantastic staff. The ciabattas are great! Come here often for a relaxed brunch. Outdoor only seating, though it is covered. Well worth a visit :)

A very cold Boxing day swim is excellent, bug even better knowing you can get a decent hot drink and some hot fresh chips to start warming you back through at this lovely beach cafe, with great views!

As per usual lovely smiley staff , brilliant bacon butty and a good strong cup of tea . Lovely to be able to sit out of the rain with the dog . The fish finger sandwiches are also to die for . Great food , nice little shop to buy gifts etc . Love it

Friendly staff and great beach. The best part is the various choices of Kelly's ice cream for a reasonable price. I loved my candy floss and blueberry cone!

The day's special was crab sandwich for £9, lots of crab on fresh granary. Top that with great coffee and wonderful view, win win.

Great selection of food at this modern beach café. We had ciabattas with salad garnish. Very tasty but huge! Lots of outdoor picnic table seating overlooking the beach. Small number of sheltered outdoor tables too. Don’t think there are any indoor tables. Food was freshly prepared to order and came quite quickly. We actually visited here several times during a 6 day holiday in Falmouth because we liked the experience so much. Definitely recommended. We will return when next in the area.

Great cafe on the beach. What more could you ask for. Perfect.

No high chairs, no provision for children’s food/ portions. No bins to put nappies in- and in the toilets, no baby’s changing facilities or bins. Are children not welcome here? Also no scones, so no cream tea. On the other hand, good provision for vegans- thank you.

What's not to like, this place is lovely and very well-placed to sit with your butty, a flatwhite and watch the beach life. Plenty of seating with a little undercover, a good range of traditional cafe faves and great service.

This has very much improved over the years. Food is much better and service is very good.

Lovely food, we even saw some seals whilst paddleboarding.

My friend was attacked by wasps and dropped her delicious bacon, brie and cranberry ciabatta on the floor before she even managed to take a single bite. The staff were really great about it and made her a fresh one, free of charge. Great food, great service, too many wasps!

Came in our campervan and was told no parking for campers now, we were going to have lunch in the cafe but won’t be doing that now as the young lad said it’s the cafe than owns the parking. It said no overnight parking but nothing about day parking. Very strange and a sad reality that these types of people are bringing the places like this.

Everything we wanted in a beach café, great location and serving freshly cooked food without waiting forever! It was busy when we visited and it deserved to be - what a find.

The food here is lush! They do, hands down, the best sweet potato fries I've ever eaten. Also the ice cream is delicious! It's lovely to watch the sea while eating.

Great beach. Good coffee whilst soaking in the stunning views. Had the caramel shortbread slice which was far to rich and sickly for me.

We visited here for breakfast with friends who live in the area. What a hidden gem. Parking is charged at £3 but if you stay all day and also use he beach it’s a bargain. Our food was good and the service was great. Friendly helpful staff. It’s off the beaten track and would imagine the locals try to keep it a secret but we were pleased to be introduced to it and would return.

The best chocolate brownie I've had in a very long time! Lovely beach on the bank holiday weekend, sheltered, great for paddle boarding and swimming. And the perfect cafe with lovely coffee and cakes!

Been here many times, but disappointed today. Bacon and brie ciabbatta came with 2 very fatty undercooked rashers and the tiniest slither of brie. Honestly it really was not value for money. Staff are very friendly but just felt that quality was not there anymore.

Sandwiches, Ciabattas, frites, alternatives sans gluten et glaces délicieuses (même pour chiens !!!). Toilettes sur site. Halte bienvenue après la promenade le long de la côte.

What a great place to stop and “refill” the batteries on our coastal walk. The coffee was excellent and the ciabatta’s were some of the best we’ve had. Now that could have been because we had walked a fair way when we arrived at the beach and we’re looking forward to a stop but honestly, the food was excellent, the views to die for sat looking out to sea and the staff were all friendly and helpful. You could spend a fortune across the road but if you’re just looking for something tasty and good value you can’t go wrong with stopping here.

This is a great beach cafe with outside and covered seating in a stunning location. The staff are friendly and polite. The food is delicious, their Maen burger is the best I have ever had, when working in the area I will always treat myself to one.

This is a lovely cafe and the cakes are super scrumptious. It was only due to being told how good the cakes are by someone I met walking on the coastal path that we decided to drop in. We often walk here and have neglected to come recently. In the Summer it tends to be too busy anyhow so we have a secret place to eat our lunch. BUT we will certainly come back now as the cafe is clearly much better than it used to be. We will try thd baps next time too

Whilst staying in the area for work I always treat myself to a Maen burger and a latte from Life's a Beach café, in my opinion it is the best burger I have ever had. All the staff are lovely and friendly. Sat on the stunning beach at Maenporth, all the seating is outside but a new covered area is under construction.

We visited the cafe a couple of times during a recent holiday. Both food and drinks very high quality and exceptionally reasonably priced especially for such a fabulous location.

I was unsure if the cafe would offer many gluten-free options for a post coastal walk lunch, but was pleasantly surprised to find a gluten-free menu with some tasty choices! Served with crisps on the side and very delicious :)

We had walked out from our hotel in Falmouth during midweek in early October and found the cafe to be pretty busy by late morning. The service was friendly and we sat and drinking tea and enjoying the view. We were waiting for my partners...

The staff and location make this a great place! Everyone was friendly and efficient, plus the cheesy chips and cup of tea were much enjoyed.

Lovely little cafe on the beach absolutely perfect for snacks, lunch, drinks and ice cream while you're at the beach. Had a chicken and mozzarella ciabbata and it was fantastic. Great selection of ice cream with some unusual flavours. Staff friendly and polite. (Have upped this to a 5-star review as the staff have gone 'above and beyond' while we've been here - helping to treat some people getting stung by weever fish)

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the car park staff to the time we left after ice creams several hours later, we were consistently impressed by the attitude, approach and quality of the staff.

Went purely to savour their latest food offering…. Mackerel Baps!! Fresh mackerel fillet with a lemon mayo and salad leaves in a brioche bun. Absolutely fabulous. Worth the trip just for that. Great food and friendly service. Absolute winner.

Lovely little beach cafe situated at the Eastern end of Maenporth Beach. The Mackerel in a brioche bun is delicious. Its not cheap, but worth it!

This place was perfect! My mum is in a wheel chair and we managed to get her on the beach to a bench so she could see the grand kids in the water, great food and amazingly wonderful and very friendly staff! Absolutely brilliant (disabled toilet is accessible near the cafe as well)

This place has a great selection of take away food and drinks, there can be a bit of a wait time as it gets busy due to its popularity and the fact it's the only real place near by that is reasonably priced for a family, a meal for a family of three will set you back around £30, which is the going rate.

At the edge of the beach you can get food, ice creams, drinks and the beach equipment that you forgot to bring. The menu is varied and well priced. The staff are just fantastic and allowed us in this afternoon even though closed for drinks...

The crab sandwiches are not cheap but they are wonderful, proper fresh crab with the brown cream in to give full flavour. Worth every penny☺. Great selection of ice creams and plenty of outside seating.

OMG..what a discovery on our south west coast path walk. Stopped for a break for drink and cake and it did not disappoint. Service good, reasonable cost but best bit..the white chocolate and raspberry brownie. The caramel shortbread very tasty too...so good we nearly bought...
