Spent a year trying chicken kebabs in different restaurants/takeaways every week & not one comes close to madras Baillieston,,loads of big tasty chicken,plenty of lovely fresh salad,& the sauce is the best &pitta bread, ,,big portions aswell,,,definitely THE BEST,,fantastic staff aswell,,try for yourself,,thanks,,

Always a friendly service lads always serve with a smile and chat away when not to busy. Massive fan of their Chicken Tikka best about so any curry with Chicken tikka is always nice and if your not wanting a curry a chicken tikka kebab is my go to. Been eating out here for 20 odd year and I've been about and the quality just isn't the same as Madraa Cottage any where else. So I stick with what I know.

My admiration for Madras Cottage grows with each visit. The chefs are experts in fusing classic Indian flavors with a dash of contemporary cooking, which results in genuinely amazing meals like their special starters and curries.

Everything about it was disgusting ordered a 12inch donner meat pizza got a 16inch instead as they had no 12 inch pizza slices weren't sliced pizza is just a mess with topping dumped ontop the chicken pakora tastes like its been sitting for a week pizza seems undercooked at the dough and kebab meat completely burnt to a crisp. Everytime I have gave this place the benefit of the doubt I absolutely regret the waste of money!! Would advise to avoid madras cottage

Food is good sometimes, i always ask for extra meat and pay extra, but last few times they haven't delivered properly. Food can be 7/10 some days But 5/10 most days

Got a king mixed kebab and it was class

Nice spot, clean and the food smells great...even though I'm a wee bit addicted to the burgers mostly. The chips are that perfect colour, and they taste as good as they look. I do feel bad for the wee potatoes who are sacrificed for this... Let's face it, though, they're a bunch of spuds. The burger was amazing, asked for extra cheese, was told, of course. Staff were great, polite.. Listened to my nonsense without complaint. That's impressive. Definitely recommend the burger, I'd swear it was cooked to perfection by pure dragon fire (I also know they have a dragon in the shop. They have a licence, relax). Her name is Scarlet and she's adorable.

The staff are extremely friendly and polite.The food is to die for some of the curries in this place are unlike anywhere else.They have a fantastic delivery service as well there is a young boy who has been working there for years and is an all round well mannered boy.Most of the time the deliveries are there within half an hour.If you are looking for a high quality service and product then this is the place to go.Their delivery radius is fantastic as well as they deliver to me in tollcross.

Disappointing. Haven't used this place for ages, and I am wondering if this was the reason why. 10" veggie pizza was very bland. Well presented and looked good, but it wasn't all that. Liked the style of pizza being deep dish, but had no taste. French fries were very expensive, although they were seasoned well. Overpriced for what it was. Cash payment only. Wouldn't use the place again. Ballieston has a number of options for food on the main street. Dominoes would have been a much safer option.

Been going here for years now and always enjoyed my food from here. I absolutely love the tandoori chicken they do and would definitely recommend them. Plenty of options in curries etc and never had any issues with the staff when I’ve been in.

This place was one of the best in the east end. Now its terrible, food prices are increasing significantly, the portion sizes are smaller, less meat fillings and the quality is getting worse. Their delivery times were always poor, but it was always worth the wait. Now they can't do the basics. Greasy kebabs, burned pizzas, scrimpy portions. Who is running this place now, and wyho cooks the food?

Saturday 19/12/2020 I phoned an order of two ceylonese chicken korma to collect was told it would be half an hour. Went down to collect only for one korma to be ready the chap serving me took it through to the kitchen and brought it back a couple of minutes later saying it was ready. Went to serve it and it was milky whie with no flavour or taste or fruit. Absolutely disgusting and waste of money as put in bin. No use complaining to them as they do not want to know.

Phoned an order in and called 10 mins later to be told i would have to wait 15 min ,so after 20 mins guy shouted out door that order was ready , got home to discover it was wrong order . Called up to say we had wrong order but they just basically that's not a problem we will send out correct order. 30 mins later a dinner kebab arrived and it was disgusting,cold and full of lettuce across the top , used to rate this take away high but standard have dropped not even a sorry for mistake or a box of chips so I will deck not be using them again and don't recommend then to friends.

We had a delivery from here last night. The chicken was hard and rubbery the kebab was greasy and you could see globules of fat on it this place used to be good it really has went downhill.

Delicious food, best for fast grab. I’ve been having pepe’s, kebabish, toro’s and kebab rush for too long in Coventry, so i know what takeaway food should be like. After i moved here, I have tried almost everything they have (ch.pakoras to curry/balti). Nothing beats their Pizza & Donner deals, its just too yum. Everything is freshly and succinctly cooked to perfection, the best food you can get in town. The chef is on for a challenge with adding extra cheese maybe, the melting drips are awesome specially when you’re not expecting it. They always give an extra nudge to quantity and never have i been this satisfied by the service, food and quantity of a takeaway in Baillieston. Best value for Money!! A5*

Usually wait an hour for my food being delivered.last few times that foods been cold. Been waiting 1 hour and 40 mins as I write this and I'm still waiting. As the title reads im done with this place.

Ordered first home delivery, teen daughter answered door when I came back asked where’s my change. £16.50 order £20 given she said she gave me no change and just went. Disgusting. Never ordering from you again. Scum

Phoned an order the other night, don’t know what’s happened to the place but it used to be great. Mixed kebab garlic nan mediocre at best worst part was the salad parts of the lettuce had gone off and had went black. Chips are re heats from who knows when.

We got a takeaway from here don’t know if it’s new owners but first visit for a while and the food was rubbish the pakora was a reheat the curry was bland and tasteless the chicken in the curry was extremely hard definitely not fresh needless to say won’t be back

Not as good as before. Pakora quite stodgy, poppadums were stale and tikka sauce far too thick. Nice chicken and rice but salad was an excuse. Needs to smarten up as there are plenty more in the area
