MadMug Cafe & Bar in Trafford

Great husband and wife combo run this place. Good food, coffee and other drinks. Can recommend the full breakfast and the veggie option. Service is always friendly and accommodating and good but not too loud music thrown in as well.

Trendy interior with a relaxed atmosphere, MadMug tries to be all things to all people. And unusually for something that tries to cover multiple bases, it succeeds. I'll add a caveat, in that I have only ever come here during the daytime, so can't speak for the atmosphere in the evening.Comfy seating for lazing on with a paper? Check. Decent coffee and home-made cakes? Yes. What about something to keep us busy? Good selection of board games, and a kids' little kitchen play area. Evening entertainment? Licensed bar with outdoor courtyard and live football.Decent sound system too, and the staff are friendly. Food is limited, but good enough. A variety of breakfasts are served until 2pm, with soup and paninis after that. Waffles and pancakes are available, as well as the cakes.Been here a couple of times now - it's my children's favourite. (They even did their homework here!). We'll be back many more times.

Went for breakfast with friends. Lovely and warm inside specially after coming in from the cold.Had tea and toast with scrambled egg and bacon. Brown bread they used was yum.My two friends were also pleased.Prices very agreeable.Staff were chilled and polite. Food was fast too. Will be back.Little area for kids...the two playing in there seemed to be enjoying their selves.will bring my own.Clean too. Footie was on a Big screen too x

I popped into this cafe as I live locally. Always wondered why it looks empty, now I know why. Odd atmosphere? On the plus, the waitress was polite.

I visited the cafe-bar on a couple of occasions on my recent visit to Altrincham. It was excellent value for money and the staff were very friendly.
