Madeley Fish Bar (Telford) in Telford and Wrekin

Use to live in Cornwall, but this chippy knocks spots off any battered fish bought down the South West. Lovely, friendly staff and excellent delivery with very polite drivers

Excellent fish n chips ,quick service too

Only marked it down from 5 to 4 star due to the price, seems to have crept up.

Got totally confused about ordering as they don't take cash. And you have to order on an app, but we managed it. And the food was lovely, only downside was. There was about 10 tonne of chips for 3 of us which we felt guilty throwing away lovely food though.

This chip shop is by far the best in Telford at a affordable price..you won't be disappointed

I live opposite a chip shop in Madeley, a very popular one. We choose to walk 6 minutes in the rain to Madeley fish bar because the service food and value for money make it a no-brainer.

Lovely food, really like this place

Just had our first meal delivered through food hub and it won't be the last. Food was delivered within 35 minutes, piping hot, enormous and soo tasty. We had chicken tikka kebab and doner kebab and they are the best we've had in a very long time. Looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu 😋

Ordered from here tonight paid over £16 and the chips are absolutely vile taste dry and disgusting

Years ago I would always avoid this chip shop when I found out it was under new ownership I thought I would give it a try and I was not disappointed, staff are friendly and efficient and the food is amazing my favourite would be the fish it has the perfect flakes like it should and the kebabs are a big hit for treat night in our house.

Lovely food and good service. Food costs slightly more of ordered on the website and is often a wait on the weekend, but the taste of the food makes up for it

This is a steady business, been here for ages and boasts a lot of regular clients. Staff are helpful and the food is good. My chips were very nicely cooked and the batter on my haddock was top-notch. The owner shows pride in his business and it's reflected in the food and service.

30/05/2022 was the last review I made I'm absolutely disgusted by the lady's behaviour towards me tonight 8.33pm I called for delivery 30/7/2022 being know to your chippy I don't periciate the attitude by the lady answering tonight won't be returning such a shame as the the owner is amazing no one deserves the attitude I got even asked for owner and refused to put me through

Last time I ate here I had a bad stomach and never came back until today, iv ate from here today with two other members of my family and we’ve all Got bad stomachs and are back and forth to the toilet , il never ever give them another go, il stick to Dawley flying fish beautiful food and it doesn’t cost us a bomb in toilet roll after we’ve ate from there. Never again, if u order from here, don’t plan anything after unless you are taking a commode out with you a 6 pack of toilet roll and maybe some spare pants incase you don’t make it.

Great food. Lovely fresh chips. There seemed to be less meat in the kebab today, which was way better. Too much just looks hideous and gets wasted. Visually more pleasing. Delivery guy is so nice too, always polite and friendly. Well done guys.

I regularly order online and the food is generally good. I went to visit the shop today in person for a change but unfortunately they don’t accept card payments under £5 😵

Family visiting from Bristol wanted to have fish and chips for supper tonight. So I was despatched to collect several fish, spring rolls, doner meat, roe, sausages, curry sauce and loads of chips from our favourite chippy. All I can say is that madeley chippy gave of their best as always. Our family were more than impressed. It was really top notch food as always!

Been using this chippy since we moved here usually excellent delivery quick great food but on this occasion fish was bland not fresh and chips were not fresh don't know what happened maybe just a one off I don't know but we left most of it and at over 18.00 disappointed.

Number one place to get chips from. I do use other chip shop take aways but this one is on top of the list. Even when you get them delivered your order is always nice & hot. Notice with a fair few chip shops the chips are always dry this isn't the case with Madeley. They also don't over do on the salt. If you choose delivery on the app they always come early. You get decent size portions! In the past when I've had people over and we've gone for a chip shop take away, they always comment on how nice the chips are. So it's approved by people who are not even local! Definitely recommend

This place is amazing for customer service. I accidentally ordered without realising that they dont take card payment but they were able to sort everything out for me, in a really friendly manner without making a fuss. The food is also fantastic I got chips and curry sauce and by far the best I've tasted!! 10000/10

Food was all great, but I was a bit disturbed that they didn't have a pedal bin meaning several staff touched the bin lid during my visit and one actually handled the lid and didn't hand-wash after doing so.

Never had an issue with this Chip shop, often have it delivered most weeks via their website where you can loyalty points. Tastes really good. They are a really busy shop, as sometimes you can't order online, so this shows how good a place it is.

First visit for a long long time, and it was very nice ♥️

Walked in tonight, normally fantastic but tonight it was inedible. Not even the cat has eaten it. Fish smelt strongly of fish normally meaning it has gone off. Tasted off too. Chips ok alittle underdone but ok. As I said we ate very little of the fish and the cat wouldnt eat it either, a bad sign. Skin was left on as well. Not sure if one off but when you pay £16.00 for two fish and 2 regular chips for it to be inedible, its bit out of order.

Had a value box and chips were really nice but sausage was awful, my son had jumbo sausage and chips and he had one bite of the sausage and threw the rest away saying it tasted horrible.

Ordered from here after reading the promising reviews, but was disappointed as the chips looked like they where leftover from last night and where hard and chewy. The fish was chewy and very greasy, the only positive was the delivery was fast. We will never order from here again there are much better places to eat.

food was disgusting tonight chips were totally manky and we didnt eat them at all. food took almost a hour and a half to arrive was told on 2 seperate phonecalls over 15 mins apart that food had just left. wish i had told them to forget it. not happy at all. they just lost a regular customer shocking service.... im disgusted
