The menu is extensive, and take away options are also available. I ate 10.8 pounds of soy sauce-flavored sparerib soup noodles, and they were delicious and suited the Japanese taste buds. The inside of the restaurant, including the restrooms, is very clean and welcoming. Payment is in cash only.

Ordered a curry, chips and prawn toast. Then had to pay extra to what I was told because it came with rice. £17.5 from the initial £14 (which I thought was steep anyway). When I got my order 30 minutes later, we had no rice. We didn’t even eat the curry as it was gelatinous and looked like it had been reheated many times, chips had a mere sprinkling of seasoning on, were deffo reheated and the prawn toast was alright tbf. Everything had to be reheated as it was Luke warm at best. I’d love to add a photograph of what we were served but unfortunately I can’t. Will not be returning

Just tried to order a prawn curry with rice (£8 on the menu) with a side order of plain soft fried noodles. £21!!!!! £13 for the curry, £2 for the rice and £6 for the Noodles!! I tried to explain that it was too much, they reduced it by £1 then tried telling me the menu was out of date. Authentic it may be but with needlessly unauthentic prices. Needless to say I left without any food and went to another not half a mile away and got everything for under a tenner plus it was lovely. Sorry but you cant charge what you like if you are advertising it at a different price, this is grossly over priced for a student area.

Proper Chinese food sold mainly to Chinese origin people. I had Rice with Chicken, Ginger and Spring Onion, but was surprised that the rice and ginger were hot and the chicken cold. Nevertheless it was delicious.

Been going to this place for lots of years. Went this evening & ordered a burger & small nachos with a sprinkling of cheese. I can’t eat much cheese. Order came loaded with cheese & an extra dipping dish of cheddar cheese. When we went to pay the bill & asked for a slight reduction on nacho meal manager took a photo of us & him & a woman argued with us was told I should have taken cheese off. Would they have treated me the same if I was gluten free or vegan . We explained nothing wrong with rest of meal & wine but they got security & threw us out. I have never been so ashamed as I was this evening

The service was fast and efficient. Overall the service and atmosphere made it a good experience but I think that was more so the company. The food is quite pricey, and if you’re looking for something delicious for your money, for me this wasn’t it. Signature platter, tasty enough but nothing revolutionary. Very high priced for what it is Fries, some of the best fries I’ve had. So tasty and crispy. You don’t get loads but that’s fine. Some from the grill stuff was tasty but again, nothing special. Ultimately, a nice experience but the food wasn’t amazing. Staff were very attentive and helpful.

12 High Ousegate, York, YO1 8RZ, United KingdomMe and my mum came on GCSE results day to celebrate my results. Expectantly the restaurant was very busy so we decided to book ahead for 1pm. We went to see if we could get in any time sooner as we were quite hungry. Despite the rush of customers, the staff were very kind and welcoming and made sure our table would be ready for us sooner than 1pm. We went in at 12:20 and got seated within 15 minutes even though it was very busy and other customers were waiting too. The blond man that was running front of house was very pleasant, kind and welcoming and consistently assured us that our table would be ready soon. We sat upstairs and ordered our food from the till and due to results day they were doing a free starter or a free ¼ chicken. Our starters came within minutes of us ordering and our mains came around 10 minutes afterwards. The staff upstairs and downstairs seemed to have everything under control even in a very busy situation and the food was delicious and quickly served. Thanks for a lovely meal and we will be returning soon!
