Bought some of your Stollen in Lewis, well done for making it and it was quite tasty albeit a bit sweet. But we had difficulty finding the marzipan!

Very helpful bakers went in while on holiday asked if I could have a batch of fruit loafs made up. For me to pick up before I left the island. Nothing a problem. Cakes and scones five 🌟. Worth a visit

We self cater when on Uist so need provisions and good bread is a prime requisite. We are not disappointed with the lovely fresh crusty offerings on display here.

We sampled McLeans oatcakes and shortbreads at the hotel where we were staying and have brought many packets home for ourselves, friends and family! The lady who served us told us that McLeans will also post products to you.

Although the bakery looks impressive and the lady who served was friendly and pleasant. We opted for the Scotch (beef)Pies to takeaway for our lunch. Very disappointing -maybe we should have realised from the price! Best described as beef-burger in a pastry case. We had also ordered one of their birthday cakes from a local shop. We had seen the Easter cakes which looked great but the birthday cake was "more cream than cake" and very large. We had thought we had said to the shop "a cake like that". Overall we did not feel that as a local bakery they were the style we expected.

Run by the MacLean brothers since 1987, they are a small independent bakery, just off the main A865. Their delicious breads, rolls, pastries, savouries, oatcakes & biscuits are freshly made every day using traditional methods. Pop in to buy something for lunch. They will warm the food for you as well if you want to eat it hot. Delicious

All you want from a fish and chip shop. Very generous portion of fresh fish (cooked to order) and chips for a very reasonable price. Wish i had had the opportunity to try some of the other options. Efficient service. Great value!

We had booked 3 nights stay here but were a day late arriving as our ferry was cancelled, owing to fog. A 7 unit site with 2 showers with a toilet in the same room [En-suite]. One of the rooms was, imo, suitable for disabled guests. The facilities were clean with no extra charge for the showers. As the area was "remote" from the main site - hundred yards away and out of sight of the main site - access through the gate, into the shower/toilet block and chemical disposal point was by padlock code or Door Key Code. It worked and probably necessary as adjacent to the main road but slightly annoying. Good water supply and Grey water runoff easily accessed. The most expensive site we used in our holiday through the Outer Hebrides but West Harris Trust is a Community Charity so any profits presumably channelled back into Community Projects

Very good food and attentive service. Not sure why this place is not heaving and perpetually fully booked. Other places in Stornoway were booked solid but were not as interesting. It must be newish so it’s reputation as a restaurant hasn’t yet spread.
