Well after our last visit months ago I thought it might have improved. But nope . Does The management ever visit the premises. Once again no milkshake and this apparently is because they can't be bothered to clean the machine. . members of staff who had no idea what the burger we tried to order was. Is this anyway to run it . Make your own minds up just read the reviews. McDonald's should hold their heads in shame. Poor customer service.poor staffing services.. Drive a little further if I was you. Because I'll garuntee you'll be adding your own poor review.. maybe McDonald's should find management who actually cares when they take your money

Went to Abingdon McDonalds after returning from a concert in Cardiff last night at around 1.30am. Ordered from the drive through and was told "we don't do milkshakes at this time of night". Ok, so ordered a coke instead with the rest of the meal. On getting home (now around 2am) we saw that the dips requested for the sharebox were wrong and one item (a McSpicy burger) had not been supplied. I tried calling immediately to let them know - but phone was not answered. I was not about to drive back at 2am to pick up an item that I PAID for but was not put in the bag! Terrible service. If you aren't able to function as a 24/7 restaurant, rather close at 11 and let your staff (who clearly don't want to be there) go home.

Wanted 5 piece chicken select meal told I could only have 3 or 9, no 5 piece available due to not having the right size box asked them to put a 5 piece in a 9 piece box she said I will ask the manager came back and said I know it sounds ridiculous but we can’t. Coffee was cold

Absolutely useless McDonalds location, sick to death of the incompetence from this place. Whatever sauce you want be prepared to not receive it. It’s honestly as if they do it on purpose. If you’re ordering late in the evening/night you will not get any of the sauces you ask for and will more than likely be missing an item. Awful useless McDonalds.

Came here late at night after a hospital visit. I knew the chicken Big Mac was back so wanted that as it’s my favorite. However, it was unavailable and so was the mcrispy. How do you run out of chicken?! Awful maccies. Don’t bother going

I should have learned by now. Whenever I put a big order through they always seem to miss something out. How hard is it!! And then I have to mess around having to ring Uber eats who then don’t speak very clear English, I find it really stressful.

Ordered a cheese/bacon & onion burger (no pickle or lettuce) as a treat . When I got home with said treat there was no onion (specifically asked for onion) and the bottom half of the bun was black and burnt 😠 It wasn’t busy when I got there, if it had been I could’ve understood. Will make sure that I go that extra mile to the didcot McDonald’s from now on

Very dry and tasteless meat on big tasty £ 6.49 for this !!! Also the restaurant was very dirty spillage of oil on a floor by the counter… Not to mention the gent was smelly and dirty…total joke ..

Always asking to park up. If I wanted click to serve I would not have queued in drive thru. Take forever to bring the food and staff are frequently rude

First time for a long time but the service outstanding this morning. Took our order efficiently and politely and handed over the same! “Please, thankyou, have a good day”… just how it should be! Well done to the 2 staff this morning. Flatbreads excellent too…

Ordered using the app. Food was cold. Missing drink. Not the first time the food has been cold, late and some items missing

No point using the mcdelivery here, Had few orders missing items, some with the dips, which is not to bad but still annoying. But i have had it now as its twice with actual food item up to £8, tried contacting the restaurant, no answer. tried doing through the app, said i have to contact uber eats, even though the staff in the Restaurant is the one who failed to put it in and check the order, and even no answer from uber eats. doesnt look like you will get a refund or your food item, so litrally waste of money.

I think it was Nati who served me at the window. Not a regular McDonald’s customer but her service was excellent and very friendly thank you so much for going above and beyond.

Worst one I’ve been too there milkshakes are never on the staff are rude and the set up of the store is terrible avoid it if you can

We just used Just Eat from maccies. Totally missing my meal and my partners meal was stone cold. The chips were like match sticks.

Arrived, ordered our food and selected the eat in option. 90% of the seating in the store was blocked off with chairs. As there was no place to sit and we already ordered and paid for our food we asked nicely if we could sit down at one of the blocked off areas. The very friendly worker asked his very rude manager, who immediately said NO. We challenged him as they have a 24hour service with an eat in option. We were aggressively told, I am the manager and if we try to sit down, our order will be cancelled and the police phoned to throw us out. Definitely the worst manager I've ever met in my life. Makes me wonder how he treats his staff. On top of that the floor was oily and slippery. Don't think I'll go back to Abingdon McD's

Utter sh.i.te service. We’ve been nugged off. We ordered our food through Uber eats, and didn’t receive half of our order. Tried to call them but would not answer. Very disappointed. Shame

Visited the drive through and again no McFlurrys or shakes….it’s been weeks now. Don’t understand why, just told every time that they’re not available.

This level of disgusting takes a while to perfect! When it’s not just one thing, you know there is a problem with the standards of this franchise.

Unfortunately food was cold on this visit, never normally this bad, maybe next time I will also get my full food order, staff friendly restaurant clean.

It’s the second time I’ve ordered and had things missing of my order I would mind if it was a small order but it’s a large order with a receipt you simply shouldn’t be getting it wrong your staff need to tick off the receipt as they go as I’ve now missed out on my dinner and paid priority delivery.

Why is it every time I pop into this MacDonald's they NEVER have any milkshake, is there a shortage of milk, oh no there can't be it's that white stuff thats in all the coffee they sell . Why dont they take milkshake off the menu , surely it cant be too difficult to make can it, milk + flavouring ang jiggle it about a bit. I won't bother wasting my time again.

Horrible meal. The cheeseburger was luke warm and the bun was stale. The small portion of chips was tiny and the chips were soggy. I'm not sure how they get away with it.

Worst experience I’ve had the staff were not interested or didn’t listen got the order wrong then didn’t correct it also ran out of milk shake I know it was hot but it has been forecasted so should have brought more will not go there again

Had a fabulous breakfast and was treated to a reggae session from Vonnette while she cleaned the tables , she was amazing it really made our morning , the foot was pretty good as well.

Good standard McDs food with excellent customer service and really clean restaurant. Keen to provide balance to the other negative reviews as we were impressed by the staff here.

Awful delivery tonight! It was cold and the triple cheeseburger was burnt in the middle! It would have been quicker to go there and buy it rather than using Uber.

Very slow food as staff chatting away casually to each other. Never have the milkshake machine on. Especially in the mornings! Very disappointing for such a big company!

Looks like there has been a lot of liquid spilt on the floor with napkins covering it, but no one has made an effort to clean the mess up, that's probably because 2 members of staff, are having their breakfast with the customers, and why does McDonald's not have any bacon for breakfast. There's no sugar or stirrers if you have a coffee, and no one is tidying up, I guess we suffer for who McDonald's employ

Dear friends, best avoid this establishment if you are at all hungry, thirsty or in a rush. Entering the door is like entering a world of slo-mo cinematography - suddenly you realise you’re an extra in Michael Moorcocks lost movie “The land that alacrity forgot”.Yes, I’ve made the mistake of visiting this restaurant every day for coffee/breakfast, only to be continually disappointed by poor attitude and, well you guessed it, slow food.I suspect the franchise holder is not paying enough to employ/maintain staffing levels.

From ordering it took 20 minutes for our food to be served. Bags of food were speeding through the drive through and us poor saps waiting in the restaurant were made to wait. When I moaned I just got angry looking faces from the miserable, spotty kitchen staff.

This mcdonald's is very disappointing, very bad service, they almost always forget something in the orders, forget straws, napkings, chips, etc. In the drivethrough they dont explain well what is available, etc. For families is a bit uncomfortable, a lot of teens always making a lot of noise. The roof drips when is raining, the self service machines runs out of paper to print, etc.

They probably get your order wrong 50% of the time and your lucky if your food is served luke warm! Not the best McDonald’s.

Visited recently for a drive through . Queues were long as they were training new staff . Normal fayre nice mc flurries

Went here just before midday, only a couple of spaces in carpark but awkward to park as drive thru gets in the way of the cars looking for spaces plus no path to walk on to get inside so walking with 3 kids under 3yrs through the mass of cars is dangerous! Inside the place was busy with a queue blocking the entrance from the touch screens so had to carefully make our way through to a table. Our order took a while but was correct & had no issues with the food.

Went in for Big Mac meal and chicken nuggets and cheesy bites, was asked if I wanted sauce with my chicken nuggets and I said BBQ. I actually had no sauce what so ever with my meals, considering that the cheese was supposed to come with a tomato sauce and I had requested BBQ...bad form really. I even turned round to ask for extra sauce for the fries and the guy had pretty much slammed the window shut before I had time to ask. He’s been there a long time....I feel he hates his job Otherwise generally good!

Complete chaos when trying to order. Wife wanted vegetarian; big mistake as was totally inedible. The noise level around the is much too loud. Note to self remember never to go there again.

Its simply what you expect from Mcdonalds. cheap fast food, no frills, with the ‘premium stuff’ tasting exactly the same as the rest. Nothing more, nothing less

Been to this McDonald's several times drive-through and eat in it is always clean tidy service is quick. As all McDonalds it's good value for money It hasn't been updated like the other McDonald's in the Oxford area with the order your own screens.

I took my grandchildren here this evening and finally managed to order their meals after waiting 10 mins; there was 1 person serving on the counter while 3 people were clustered around the drive through area. Bearing in mind there were a couple of families waiting to be served at what was probably one of their busier times that seemed bad management but unbeknown to me that was about to get much worse We ordered our meals, paid and found a seat while leaving two of the older children at the desk to bring over the food. When they finally arrived one of the drinks was missing so I went back to the counter to request this. After being ignored by both the server and the manager I eventually called over to one of the drive through servers and explained a drink was missing. She immediatley went to prepare the drink, the server then miraculously saw me and asked if there was a problem so I explained again that one of the drinks was missing; she went on to tell me that she had cancelled the order which is why there was only one of the drinks on the tray. I asked her why she did this to which she mumbled 'I dont know'. The manager then came over and said 'you owe us £2.49' in a very hostile manner, I said 'I hope you are joking, I ordered two drinks and as far as I was aware had paid for two drinks'. She wasn't and said again that I 'owed' them the money for the drink. Usually, when touch screen ordering is not available, the order is read back for you to confim it is correct but this doesn't seem to be the case in Abingdon. When an error has been made in other Macdonalds it has been rectified free of charge and with good grace. As we were leaving I overheard the manager talking about me in a detrimental way to the drive through servers so I went over to her and told her that I had never expereinced such shocking customer service anywhere before and that I would be putting a review on Tripadvisor to which she replied 'you do that'. I was more than happy to pay for the drink, my issue is that I had ordered two drinks and understood I had paid for them; had the server told me at the point of paying she had cancelled one of the drinks I would have re-ordered it and paid for it.

Slow but alright, the place seems a little outdated compared to newer McDonald's but didn't do badly at all

Este restaurante ha sido siempre limpias cuando he visitado y me he dado cuenta que el aparcamiento está normalmente limpia. Muchos de estos lugares que he visto tienen basura soplando alrededor de todo el parque de coches y atrapados en el interior de los restaurantes setos y puede ser bastante desagradable, así que es agradable ver este restaurante parece que se mantienen a un buen nivel.

Llegué con mis amigos el jueves por la noche y yo tuvimos una cena (big sabroso con tocino, bebida y patatas fritas). Durante el orden las mujeres que estaba tomando la orden ni siquiera sonrió a nosotros, ella estaba en mal humor probablemente. Entonces mi y patatas fritas de mi amiga vino frío (bien sé es Macdonald's, pero la comida debe ser caliente no es? Así que hablamos con) la chica y ella no se disculpó conmigo o decir algo, ella simplemente me gritó 'Chicos donde es la comida bin? . . . Necesito 2 patatas grandes por favor! '

Ok nothing to write home about but food cooked and hot but it's fast food not fine dinning. Clean and staff nice

Popped in for a quick bite,place packed not a seat anywhere so a quick dash back to the car. Next time check to see if the schools are on holiday.

Friday 29th July we took our four Grandchildren for a treat to MacDonalds in Oxford, we had'nt eaten there in a long long time so were definately not expecting the poor quality of food that we were served up as before we had enjoyed the food. Quarter pounder burgers looked liked squashed sausages a fillet of fish, two mouthfuls gone and as for the milkshakes YUK! Grandaughter had a chocolate one, it looked good but tasted like banana, she couldn't drink it. But will say she did enjoy the mozzarela sticks and salsa. I did mention at the counter that the shake was very nasty but the girl just smiled, no apology. Hey ho!

I do not eat the food in the Restaurant ...I do so much like their Ice Cream it is so good and so much cheaper than other outlets

The food is just like any other McDonalds, it is what it is.What gets me about this place is the staff, I've seen happier people at funerals. No one in this joint understands how to smile at customers. Also you have some men (mostly kids work here) wearing white shirts standing at the front shouting as loud as they can at the staff, which isn't very nice for the customers to hear or indeed the staff. That might be why no one smiles here because those men in white shirts are always SHOUTING!!!Always seems nice and clean though.

Useful stop off from the A34, limited parking, a few seats outside although not much of a view, just traffic! A small Mc D s, but clean and you know what you will be getting!

Typical McDonald's food,always hot and staff working flat out but still giving good service to customers. A handy place for a quick meal.

Disgusting terrible purely go in for coffee and queue for ages grumpy staff bar a couple high turn around of staff cause they cant stand management!.Badly managed been in 3 times this week to be told coffee machine not working again !! They have 2 and both out of order what bad management but you manage to put coffee prices up?!One of these times I queued 20 minutes to be told this !! Put signs up it isent hard or rocket science !! This place just gets worse and worse ! Don't think I will be bothering anymore with Macdonalds Abingdon ..............

McDonald's food is something of a straight forward matter but this branch seem to specialise in getting your order wrong and then not really being that bothered to either put your issue right or take your views as a customer of the chain into account. My advice is that if you must eat at Maccy ads, then go to the one in Didcot instead

Have had bad experiences here before but at least 2 years ago , last week we went to one in Swindon and we were impressed by the freshness and taste of the food even at peak time . So when our day with the grandchildren was changed because of the rain we gave it another chance . Big mistake .. The food was tasteless lukewarm , the minuscule amount of salad was so limp it had almost disintegrated ! The ketchup so strong our granddaughter ended up with facial blotches . It was busy but Swindon prove that it can be done ... Won't be visiting for a while even with the dangers of the car park but that's another story

This was the first time ever that I have been to Macdonalds. Only place open for an early breakfast - only wanted a bacon butty! Not brilliant but edible - coffee however was very much on the bitter side - certainly will not be frequenting Macdonald on a regular basis.

On Saturday we promised to take our granddaughter to Macdonald's as a special treat. Our nearest is the Milton Interchange but there was such a massive queue from the counters to well down the outside path that we headed towards Abingdon. Lo and behold, only 6 people were in the dining room and for 5.30 on a Sat, this was a real surprise. My granddaughter and I had chicken nuggets ... they were tough, tasteless and lukewarm and the only upside was the barbecue sauce to dip them in. Grandad had a 'warm' burger and our chips were all bordering on cold ... and with no flavour. How can one MacDonald's be so poor compared to many others? I thought they all sang from the same hymn sheet.I'm sure the lack of customers was due to the history of the food in that branch so we will not be going back there again.

MacDonald's is MacDonald's. It may be rubbish, but it's consistent and you know what you are getting. However the place is always clean.Just beware of the parking limit if you are having a party of something.

We have had 2 bad experiences here recently. Arriving to eat in at 1025 one morning, the rotating display boards had already been flipped to daytime meals.My request for breakfast was declined (as if I was an idiot for asking)..... I pointed out that almost universally at Macceedees breakfast ends at 1030. I also pointed to the in store menu board where it was clearly printed. I think early the changeover was for staff convenience.The operative grudgingly agreed offering on porridge, but no hot items!I'm pretty sure that their franchise operating agreement says breakfast until 10:30?On another recent visit, two cups of cups of cappuccino took a full 15 minutes to arrive. By this time we had eating our breakfast food.The coffee was eventually delivered to the table by the shift manager. I informed her that the ticket time was 15 minutes ( is this a fast food place...)Her exact reply was that "The kitchen was having a meltdown". That must be down to poor management and training.No offer of a comp or voucher offered.

Fast service, a big table at the back for our large party. We even took Grandad he had the new bacon and chicken sandwich. Great price for a large party and the kids ate it all. Money well spent. Its a very nice Macdonalds and quite big.

Was counting a porridge for breakfast. Nothing more basic than that is there? I ordered 2 porridge and a bagel for our pre training breakfast and after almost 10 mins of waiting for it to be made fresh (understandable) we were told they only had enough milk for ONE porridge because their milk delivery hadn't arrived. I understand these things happen and when a third party lets you down it can impact on you. But why did they keep me waiting for 10 mins to tell me? So sadly for the communication problems - I have to only award an average score because that's all it was worth.

Terrible attitude by staff. No customer service whatsoever, miserable, long faced. Managers shouting at staff. Had to ask for sugar, stirrers, butter etc. all too much trouble. If you don't like your career choice change it guys. I want to be greeted with a smile and hello. I want to feel that you want me there !! Don't shout at staff in public, basic rule of management.

If you can choose between mac d's drive thru abingdon and mac d's drive thru Didcot choose didcot every time! Right from the minute you arrive at the drive the people that work in the order taking booth are incomprehensible on 99 times out of 100. You have to check the screen carefully or your order will be wrong. Once you've paid you expect cos it's fast food isn't it? To pick up your meal at the next window and to be fair I guess it does happen sometimes but..although the big ANC is there signature dish(?) you may still have to wait in bay 1,2 or3 for your order. This goes for wraps, porridge and anything complex..it's annoying and frustrating..I know it's only a cheap and again to be fair tasty snack, it would be good if Mac D's abingdon could deliver a bit quicker. There are some good points, there's a few young people in the order booth who you can understand and the people who hand out the food are generally chirpy. But clearer and quicker would be good guys.
