Great fish but chips were undercooked. Please improve as I love your fish

Place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in ages, order an large fish and got what at most chip shops would call a small, chips were overcooked and generally the food was nothing special considering the ridiculous price

Delivery was nearly an hour late, and the food was cold when it arrived.

Food had texture as if it was warmed up. Curry sauce was watery, sausage was chewy and pie was hard.

Portion size improved December 2024. But fish batter still soggy. Would never pay full price for this place . Only ever buy promotional meals. Lunch time fish and chips or Wednesday chicken. Otherwise please don't waste your money

Arrived 45 mins later than requested (ordered mid afternoon for the evening), was very cold. Clearly been sat around a long time.

Why is it other food delivery drivers can find us but yours drivers can’t this is the fourth/fifth time I’ve had to go in search of my food. I’ve paid a 2.99 service charge and a 1.19 delivery charge each time! Not happy!

driver spent at least 20 minutes at McDonald's Milton interchange having his own supper. my food was in his car and delivered to stone cold

Weather is terrible but good came when it was meant too , food itself was nice enough but not overly delicious , chips r lovely but I didn’t like my pie

I would definitely order it from Churchill fish and chip shop on Just Eat as it was a very fast and quick delivery on the food was really good. I would highly recommend it to anybody that lives in didcot.

Order was not delivered!!!!!!!! Never received any food after waiting 60 mins but payment was taken. Could not contact or speak to anyone to resolve the issue.

Order kept being pushed back so I called them for an eta, they advised it was delivered. I said it wasn’t and my update online was “courier is at the restaurant we are preparing your order”. Funny the delivery option was then switched off. never agai

Doing this review on a previous order as I have had to cancel my order this evening and it won't let me review that experience. The food at Churchills is always amazing which is why I am sad to be writing this. However when I placed my order at 7.30 it said it would be with me at 7.50, this delivery time kept going up and up until it had reached 9.30, at this point I reluctantly cancelled. if they cannot fulfil the order in the stated delivery time they shouldn't accept the order. 2 hours wasted

Terrible - no food delivered, restaurant blamed Just Eat, Just Eat do nothing for 7 days

I find it difficult to read the menu. The layout is too complicated. The text is too small. Deals are scattered about so hard to find. Rotates through several screens, so some percentage of the time the menu isn't even on display. Bring back the menu from the 90s that worked perfectly. Food and staff are good, it's just an unnecessarily difficult experience due to the menu.

I had to go and collect my order as the time for delivery kept going back and back up to a hour after I ordered

I was disappointed that the delivery time had changed from 6.30 to 7.30pm. The curry sauce I ordered was not included and although the food was tasty it was pretty cold. One portion of chips did not have salt and vinegar on as requested

Chips: excellent, best I’ve had in a chip shop for a while. Peas and curry sauce- both very good. The fish: dire- overcooked fish and soggy batter-probably cooked at too low a temperature. Price- very expensive, in effect paying more than you would in a pub for an inferior product. As always in this part of the world , portion of chips far far too big.

Took almost an hour from food pick up to deliver. food cold.

Always a great alternative for cooking. Love the burgers. Deliveries arrive promptly.

Very disappointed in Churchill’s tonight, chips were over cooked & so greasy didn’t look or taste fresh Even took them back to request a fresh batch & was given the same disgusting chips again! We go here everywhere and usually it’s great & the chips are lovely, not tonight Very disappointed in this waste of money!

ordered SFC chicken and chips and sausage and chips, had had the SFC chicken a few days before and it was really nice, however last night's SFC chicken was disgusting, the only flavour was bad as if the chicken was a few days old and had been left sitting somewhere. most of it went into the bin, Both I and my wife had upset stomachs afterwards. The sausage and chips were fine.

Missing food , rang churchills up and not very helpful and was told to complain to Just eat

Ordered nine chicken nuggets and only got given 7 but wasn't worth the effort to try and sort out. Some of the nuggets were so small they barely had any chicken in. Chips lacked any salt and vinegar despite requesting it. Did click and collect to make it easier but still ended up waiting twenty minutes past collection time. Won't be returning

I got chips which has not been cooked properly. i order for my wife . my wife did not eat any chips . also fish wasnt good. i have photo . i just came home and take picture of uncooked chips .

Quality and delivery time is of course great, but they always forget to salt and vinegar your chips! 🤦‍♂️😂

We ordered chips and looked what was ready to purchase...we took the chips 🍟 home we live half mile away and they was luke worm and hard and very dry ..it seemed that these were made hrs ago and tasted awful. We will not go back

Three items ordered, only two delivered. A refund is poor solution (hungry person went without) and looks like too much hassle.

It is absolutely p.....s taking to charge £2.40 for 2 cocktail gherkins with dinner tonight. Another customer you just lost. Disgusting.

Not worth the insanely high prices anymore. Chips are now mediocre and such small portions. with cats floating In and out the shop. The staff try to get the cat out but eventually give up. Won't be going back anytime soon.

Was appalled by a recent group order here. One of the large cods and chips had what I can only describe as the dredges of the chip bucket. Not a single chip with potato in it, but just a whole box of thin small burnt bits. Shocked that they thought it was ok to throw the discard remnants into our box to pass off as chips.

We ordered three times form this place. First everything was fine. The second they forgot the extra sauces we ordered which was fine but on the third time they missed nearly half of our order. We had people around and all were tired from work not a fun time having to explain to them that their order got missed. When we called up the place we had to call three times before someone picked up the phone and when we did they didn’t even brother trying to fix the mistake. Instead we had to order from a different place for those who didn’t get their food. Awful experience.

Worst fish and chips I've ever had, chips under cooked,dry and tasteless. Fish soggy and tasteless. Service was incredibly slow and staff seemed disinterested. Over £14 spent and most of it went in the bin. Won't be going back.

Portion of chips was supposed to be go large. It was exceedingly small. Not even standard size. Extremely disappointed with Churchill for the short serving.

Worst food I have ever tasted saveloys tasted like baloney and the cod still had fish scale on the cost was ridiculous for such small portions will definitely not be using again 😑

I've been here in the day when it's quiet and the food is ok, expensive for what it is, but OK. Unfortunately, however, they simply can not cope when it's busy. The most recent attempt at a delivery on a Saturday went like this. - Ordered at 17:00 hours - Delivery time changed repeatedly until it was 18:35 and when that came along it still hadn't been "prepared".... - Order cancelled, refund issued by JustEat This is not an isolated incident. It's overpriced, average at best, with a complete inability to manage when busy. Avoid

Food was amazing. Burger was nice and juicy. Chips were actually proper chips and not fries which is rare. Only reason for not having 5 star is the curry sauce was forgotten off the order. Other than that it was amazing. Will definitely recommend and will 100% be using again

A friend recommended Churchill's a few weeks ago and I have never looked back. Clean, fresh and delicious fish and chips. Highly recommended.

Late delivery, food was swimming in grease barely edible AND forgot half the meal. Then no one answers the phone when you try to call about it

Everything was so greasy and tasted like it was cooked in old oil! Awful. We left most of it, waste of money. Wont be going back!!!

Apart from the good food the delivery service was shocking so had to do self collect.

Food was good. But we paid for a large portion of chips and only got a child size portion, this has happened a few times before and it seemed to get a lot better for a while but now back to being very small portions again.

Best meal I’ve ever had from Churchills. Fish was massive and delicious. Chips were tasty too, but not overwhelming in portion size. Absolutely spot on. 10 out of 10.

Delivery was on time, but all incorrect items and the restaurant don't take phone calls to try to resolve. This is the second time it's happened, I won't be ordering from Churchills again.

Mega Food once again, arrived early although the wait time was just over an hour 🤷🏿‍♂️🫠 never the less food perfect curry sauce unreal.

Shocking! Simply shocking the way we were dealt with….or to be more precise: the way we were NOT dealt with when we popped in to buy our family dinner. 3 staff in, not one of them acknowledged us for a substantial period. Lot to learn about customer service and communication skills. Comes without mention that we didn’t buy anything….we COULDN’T buy anything.

Hugely overpriced although the food is good. Its a shame about the price in comparison to other fish and chip shops as its most local to me but I won't visit again due to cost.
