Hi, I rarely write a desi food review because you rarely find authentic desi food in Glasgow. Its funny what people sell and eat in the name of those desi dishes. At times I wonder "what is wrong with their taste buds"? Before I share my experience I would like to tell you I love food. I just love good food. Quality and Quantity! I have never ever flattered anyone about their cooking if I did not like the food. So, my experience today was amazing. Let me tell you what did I have before you order something else and blame me. I had two hot Rotis (prepared on the Tawa), 6 glasses of Desi lassi & lo and behold first time in my five years in Glasgow a plate of authentic, actual, real Lamb Karahi. You can continue eating whatever in the name of those Lamb Karahis at other places OR go to Macchai on Cathcart Road, Glasgow and have the real Lamb Karahi. #yummyfood #lunch #desifoodglasgow #lambkarahi #chapati

531 Victoria RoadReally disappointing. I thought the reviews and the food would live up to the hype but I'm honestly confused. Everything was very greasy. We had the chicken pakora which was greasy and didn't taste of much. However, the quality of the chicken was good. The nann wasn't nice, bland and very doughy. The two curries both were chicken but had two different types of chicken? Curries were okay at best Would not return. We both rated it a 4/10. Very disappointing :(

315 Dumbarton RoadWe came across this restaurant by accident while looking for a place to eat, and what a blessing it was. The food was 10/10, best curry I ever had. The two ladies that were working that night were super lovely and helpful. Absolute 5 stars out of 5, and if I could give more I would. Will 1000% be coming back when we’re in Glasgow again.

250 Battlefields RoadFood is really great. Best curries in the Southside. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. We frequently take away too which also doesn’t disappoint.
