Fantastic Nepalese food. Friendly staff.

Food is delicious as always. Staff friendly and helpful. Very reasonable prices. Butter chicken was lovely. Only downside is long flight of stairs up to restaurant.

Takeaway horrible unedible food. If I could give a minus score it would be - 5. Unfortunately the only score needs to be 1 or 4 star rating. They ignore you leaving no way for a refund. Don't waste your money on Duvans darbar.

Really disappointed with my food from here. If there was a minus rating I would use that. Food unedible, shocking customer service. Being ignored isn’t helping me or them to resolve issues. Don't waste your money. Food badly burnt, lumpy jelly lumps too. So disappointed.

My daughter lives up the road and goes past pretty much everyday on the bus but had never been in... until now. And it wasn't a disappointment. Yes, it looks a little strange from the outside, as other reviews have noted, but the food was absolutely fantastic... the chicken momos starters are to die for. Kinda like dim sum but bags more flavour and a little chilli kick. Highly recommended!

Testy food all option veg or non veg

Random check in as most places in city centre wouldn't let usbin with annundern18 yr old. So on the way home we popped on here and we were not disappointed. In fact we were glad we didn't get in anywhere else. The food is second to none, service first class and price is spot on x

Could be doing with some improvement

We visited Divans Darbar as a group of friends who were in the area. Service was good and the food was excellent. Hope to revisit soon!

Best Indian in Maryhill. Food is excellent and worth the trip. Place should be packed out every night butnits a but hidden away above the Politician.

Horrible food and taste. Cold food was served instead of hot. Breads were half baked. Papad were soggy. Service is slow. Staff is very rude. If you tell them anything, they will ignore or walk away. There was nothing pleasant about this place. Overall experience was pathetic.

Fantastic place we found very local to our apartment when in Glasgow. Food is very authentic desi style. Clean restaurant and service was very prompt. Tadka daal is awesome and should try it with plain rice. We also tried Divan’s special chicken biryani too and was delicious and spicy. We didn’t go for buffet but was very busy in the evening. The menu is huge on Buffett too. They have a huge car park at the back and does have few stairs to negotiate. All in all very happy to find a desi joint in Glasgow.

Badly needs someone to answer phone that can understand english properly and return same in conversation, it took me several repeats and spelling out words with the person that answered phone before i could get my order taken ,and only then it was after someone else took over the call at their side. The value of meal ,to be honest was not great, well over £30 for 2 curries and a nan bread and delivery. Shocking. Make up your own mind about them but my review is , pass them by.

Amazing restaurant with one of the best Indian Authentic food near Glasgow. The supporting staff was treating us very nicely. We were having a buffet and almost everything was delicious. The ambience is nice and clean. A must go place to visit with family. Please do visit if you are looking for amazing Indian taste.

Myself and my wife get a delivery from here very often and I must say there food is amazing. We have never had a bad meal from here so keep up the good work I would definitely recommend this restaurant

Great food, reasonably priced and friendly attentive staff. Lovely fluffy rice, naan was 1st class and the lamb bhoona was delicious. Would definitely come back.

Received a complimentary home delivery to compensate for difficulties with a previous order.Meal was fine but not up to the high standard of previous orders..Acceptable but no great treat….just not as good as it was.

Truly Awful! My previous experience of this restaurant….both as a a sit in and a carry out was very positive. Sadly both the food and the service has deteriorated.I ordered a carry out last night.On arrival it was cold and missing an item.Both the starter and main courses tasted of rancid oil and were basically inedible.I phoned to complain but was told the manager was unavailable to speak to me.I was however promised a call back …this never materialised. The person I spoke to was determinedly unapologetic and made it pretty clear that dealing with complaints was a distraction whilst the restaurant was busy. Further efforts to contact the restaurant by email and Messenger haven’t been responded to. I won’t be using this formerly excellent establishment again.

First time ordering and I was glad that I did the food was absolutely delicious, high quality ingredients and very fresh, everything was hot and super tasty, also I ordered online via Uber eats and forgot a kids meal when I called the restaurant they were so accommodating and took my payment for the kids meal over the phone and added it to my order so I didn’t have to incur a second delivery charge, I will definitely be back 10/10 for quality and customer service.

I've ordered here lots of times and eaten in a few too. Never usually disappointed but there are a few different apps to order on varying quite a lot in price. I tried to order over the phone to add a tip for the delivery driver as I had no cash but £4 added for phoning not to mention the language barrier. I went back to app to order.... delivered 25 minutes after 'latest delivery' despite being 0.3 m from restaurant and was missing pakora sauce. Not impressed

Ordered food from here for the first time and I have to say that this was one of the nicest chicken chasni I have ever tasted, it was absolutely delicious and garlic nan was nice also so will definitely order from here again.

Always passed this place but no more. Presently surprised with the food. Now our favourite place. Chicken biryani and butter chicken was our choice.

We no longer order from anywhere else and consistency of quality has never let us down. Affordable, generous portions, excellent eating. Cannot recommend it more

All fab..lovely food and service. Will return and recommend. We were the only ones in so atmosphere lacking. Might have helped to switch off the ceiling spotlights as they were a bit bright and didn't help the atmosphere at all.

Best restaurant in Glasgow for Indian cuisine. The staff is very courteous and friendly. Their hospitality is just amazing. The food tastes so delicious 😋. The ambience and the seating space is also excellent. Overall I had the best experience at the Divans Darbaar. Kudos to the entire team of Divans Darbaar. The finest restaurant…. Food was very poor, prawns chewy, mushroom poori tasteless. Nan bread swimming in oil, chicken pakora was nice, …complained to the manager and chef, we paid for one meal as i ate most of mine (. Tasteless, but i was starving ) very disappointing meal, safe to say I will not be back.

The servers are as all should be - very courteous and attentive. The are well trained and a pleasure to see. This little upstairs restaurant on Maryhill road does very tasty well priced Indian food - it was a very pleasant surprise. Highly recomment this place - the restaurant itself is brightly lit and has a lovely atmosphere. The food stands out also

Will never use this takeaway again after last order which went in the bin complete waste of £40. Chicken pakora that was tougher than leather clearly reheated binned. Garlic king prawns that I could smell were wrong before they were out of the bag, was starving so opened container and put fork into rancid mush that was howling. This dish had been off for a while and must have been heated up in the container as it disintegrated when I touched it, had to put it in the outside bin there and then as smell was rotten fish. Nan bread was a soggy mess but didn't need it anyway as the 1 bit of lamb? i tried in my curry didn't taste anything like lamb and texture was slimey and completely wrong if it was lamb it was off for a while too. Spat out and binned! £40 poorer still hungry and honestly appalled.

Came to the restaurant last night food was amazing the chasni was fresh and chicken was soft pishwari nan is the best I've had.. definitely will be back.. Great for parking

Worst Indian food ever had. Neither chicken nor veg items were to the par level. Chicken especially wasn't fresh. So called fruit clustered was only having cherry. Will never visit here again. Even if it'll be £5 for meal

Good Indian food. Chef was really great guy. If you want to try out authentic Indian food this is the best place. Best place to host kids birthday party and events. Highly recommended

Went there reading the reviews, don’t think it’s worth the hype. Their matar paneer was amazing for sure. The only best dish they had in that huge buffet. Just got to taste that dish and when got Up to get some more, they ran out of it. So they replaced it with another paneer dish. Nah! Not the same. Definitely not the same. First, I found a piece of chicken from my veg pakoras and then Got a hair in my daal. I did not bother to tell the staff. It was a whole bus full of people there waiting for food. I did not bother to tell.

This is such a hidden gem! It's kinda located in an awkward looking building where you have to head upstairs to the restaurant. The vibes are very ol' skool, like you're going to a family friendly Indian restaurant. The food also is exceptional! One of my favourite places in the city, especially for momos and butter chicken.

It’s amazing. You live in a city all your life, yet it is still possible to suddenly, out of the blue, unearth a true culinary gem like this place. I believe it changed hands quite recently, and the individuals In charge seem to know exactly what they are doing. The welcome greeting appeared genuine, smiles and pleasant small talk. Then the menu was peeked at, and right away, dishes never experienced - or seen - by this contributor were spotted. My son tried Momos - spicy dumplings could be the best description. He said “they were different” but proceeded to devour the lot, while the main courses we experienced were exceptional indeed. The restaurant is spacious, so the bus party who were tucking in at the same time had plenty of room to spare. As I have stated in past reviews, curry restaurants in the Glasgow area are ten a penny, the trick is to find a really good one, and Divans Darbar fits the bill. Top-class cuisine, Kingfisher beer, pleasant surroundings and mannerly waiting staff - what’s not to like.

Was here as part of a group tour and had dinner here for a night. Good taste, can improve on how fast the Buffet tubs can be refilled. Felt like the staff was underprepared for guests. We were waiting for a few items to be refilled.

Family of 4 visit on Saturday 23rd July and it was fantastic! From the wonderful staff to the faultless food it was amazing!! We will definitely be going back!!

I have already posted one review yesterday. Very Nice location and prompt services. One thing I will request to the management, that if they can add Indian Dishes, especially when Indian group is visiting the hotel,it would go a long way, and I don't find any reason for the management to consider my request / proposal.

Was here tonight for a family meal and all I can say is the food staff and service was absolutely perfect we left full , happy and we couldn’t recommend this place enough we’ll be back soon

Great food, good service and fantastic price. It seems they have £3 curry nights tue-thurs, what a surprise as we didn't know about it. 2 three course meals plus soft drinks £41. Can't possibly ask for more, just a shame it's so quiet. Definitely one to go back to.

Went for a meal on recommendation from. Friends. We were not disappointed.staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Food was amazing couldn't fault anything. The chef even came and asked us if everything was OK with food. We will definitely be back and take kids next time x

Food was super - we started with chilli chicken and vegetable pakora followed by chicken japuri and chicken Jalahandri with mushroom rice and a Nan bread . Service was excellent as well a food - new owners would recommend you try the restaurant

In fairness, the quality of food was not the issue. The staff awareness (when selecting food from the buffet selection, where some of the food had perished), staff needed to be reminded to go an get more from the kitchen, instead of using their own initiative! The attitude was almost, ‘bums on seat’ taking precedence over those that were already dining, and therefore, the experience of receiving a quality service was not the best I’m afraid. I’m just being honest here!

Went on spec for lunch. The restaurant is fabulous, bright, spacious and welcoming. Great food. Back soon.

Fantastic menu with a whole host of Indian and indochinese cuisine. The lovely chef from Nepal came out to talk to us and all the staff are extremely welcoming. This restaurant is a real hidden gem on Glasgow. We tried lots of different dishes and each and every one of them was outstanding. Highly recommend!!

This restaurant blew my taste buds away, my husband and i love eating out weekly and decided to try this place as it isn't to far from where we live and have to say hands down best indian food ive had, the menu was amazing so much variety and the prices were reasonable to, highly recommend this place!!! 😊

Me and my girlfriend went there yesterday. Extremely high standard of cuisine, coupled with great restaurant atmosphere. A word of praise must go to the staff that made us feel welcome and served us attentively throughout the night. It won’t be our last visit!

First ( and last) time ordering from here. Veg samosas were good and chicken dish okay. Rice soggy. Fish pakora didn’t taste fresh. We were charged £3.95 for “Tomato shorba “ which was obviously tinned tomato soup!

Delicious food less greasy and authentic with great selection for vegetarians.
