Very good restaurant with excellent cuisine. Really attentive service. The salt and pepper prawns are excellent. I would stay here again.

I didn't know what to expect from this restaurant but I've been wanting to try it since coming to London. I ate the dry wok chicken, spring onion rice, sesame dumpling, sichuanese dumplings, and stir fry noodles. The dry wok chicken was super spicy but good, don't be fooled by the two chilis. The sichuanese dumplings were my favorite, I am a fan of chili oil. The rice and noodles are what one should expect from eating at a chinese restaurant, good but not something you go there just to eat. The service was good and everyone greeted you as soon as you come in, cery welcoming. The only bad thing I can say is that I don't live in London so I can't come every week.

So good! I will be back again someday. We walked in and staff were so attentive and polite. We did have a reservation and were seated promptly. Everything we ate was delicious. We had spring onion rice, dry wok chicken, stir fry noodles, sichuan chili dumplings. I was disappointed that we were so full and had no more room to try more dishes.

Super nice service. The restaurant is typically Chinese, so rather simple. The crispy quarter duck starter was divine and way too much. The main course was fried rice with shrimp and chicken. Consistency great, but not very spicy. We were then recommended chilli oil, which, combined with soy sauce, made the dish delicious.

We stopped in for a quick lunch before heading off to Westminster Abbey. Lovely upscale restaurant with excellent service. We ordered 3 dishes and shared with 4 people. Very quick service and delicious food.

After our visit to Westminster Abbey, we stumbled upon this restaurant for dinner. It was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The variety of food options was impressive, and they were able to accommodate our request for non-spicy options for our child. Simla to many other restaurants in London, the portion sizes were smaller than what we are used to in the ISA, so it required a bit of adjustment for us.

Petit souci lors de l’accueil avec notre réservation, un personnel en salle pas franchement des plus aimables (à l’exception notoire d’un des serveurs qui fut tout sourire avec nous), mais la qualité des plats (du simple poulet aigre-doux à une des spécialités « Double cooked Pork » bien épicée) a rapidement éclipsé cette mauvaise première impression et nous nous sommes régalés. Great find between Victoria and Westminster, food was phenomenal and great ambience and attentive staff. Walked in on a Saturday night with no booking and didn’t have to wait long for a table.

I ordered a vegan food from here and they sent me eggs in my fried rice. I specifically mentioned that I don’t want egg in my rice and they still didn’t care. I am allergic and could have gotten in big trouble if I didn’t look before eating.

I visited around 4 p.m. on Saturday without a reservation, but the staff kindly welcomed me. About 50% of the tables were already occupied. The food was delicious, not too spicy, and had a good overall aroma of Mara. The service was excellent and suitable for hosting guests. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

We recently dined at the restaurant and seated at a round table. The food was delicious and the service was excellent through out the evening. However, our positive experience was somewhat tarnished when the light were suddenly switched on towards the end of the night, giving the impression that they were trying to rush us out. Despite this, I would still recommend the restaurant for its tasty food and attentive service Thanks to our server Lisa and San that looks after us through out the night.

Below average food at best. I was really looking forward to a proper Sichuan dinner but as the restaurant is geared towards larger family-type of tables, decided to get takeaway instead. The restaurant was very lively and had lots of big groups, the atmosphere seemed lovely. Ordered chilli beef which I normally love (it was very tough and vinegary). jasmine rice (the best part of the meal) and "spicy dumplings" in a peanut sauce (the blandest thing I have ever eaten). The consistency of the food probably suffered from being taken away, but the flavour wouldn't have - had there been some! A real disappointment.

We had the most amazing Sichuan food at Ma La Sichuan. Everyone enjoyed the meal, food and service are top notch! The restaurant is a short walk from Westminster Abbey. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful if you have questions about the menu. The food is beyond wonderful, we started with appetizers. Then ordered 4 dishes, loved them so much and ate everything that we had to have more, not that we needed it. We ordered 2 more dishes because we wanted to try them. Everything had great flavor and freshness. I wish they were open Monday so we could go back tomorrow. If you’re a fan of Sichuan don’t miss it, but do make a reservation!

Our waiter Lisa is an amazing individual. I last came in Feb 2020 and returned in 2024 and she was out waiter once again. The food is amazing! Best Chinese food hands down. Will be coming here everytime I visit London from LA

Really friendly, spacious and comfortable restaurant with very good service. The menu is extensive with some unusual dishes as well as some of the usual ones. The duck pancakes were particularly delicious although everything else was pretty good too. The wine list is more than adequate and reasonably priced. All in all we had a very good lunch, nothing was too much trouble for the waiters and I was pleasantly surprised with the bill. I very much recommend this restaurant.

We had our CNY lunch here and were so so happy. Having lived in China for many years we know the food extremely well. The staff were very friendly and continually took care of us. Judy was our waitress, she did a fantastic job making some great recommendations. We were also looked after by “Uncle”, he was very friendly too. Our food was exceptional. We had multiple dishes between 3 of us, all were superb, my favourite was Judy’s recommended Sea Bass with pickled mustards in a lovely soup. Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back with a larger group.

I arrived without a reservation and the restaurant was packed, however I was asked to wait and a few minutes later taken to a table. MA LA King Prawns amazing best i have tasted to date, lovely restaurant with red lights, red lamp shades so relaxing, egg fried rice tasty and fresh also liked the sweetcorn and tofu soup. excellent wheelchair access and spacious restaurant, all food authentic, staff amazing, all ingredients are high end quality.

As far as szechuan flavors and hitting the perfect spice and numbing balance, this place is amazing. 4/5 on some of the food that we ordered that were non-szechuan and I didn't appreciate as much, but the mapo tofu and Sichuan dry fried chicken were great. Added bonus for Muslims is this is all halal chicken and lamb, would recommend for any Muslims that want authentic halal szechuan flavors. Overall, great service, attention to how much we've eaten and when to serve the next order, and attentive staff!

Amazingly delicious spicy MaPo Tofu and Wok Chicken. The fried rice and Shanghai dumplings are very nice too. The staff are very good and relaxed, and I had a few nice chats with the staff in English and also in Mandarin. The price was reasonable and was fast serving. As a Chinese from mainland China, I muchly enjoyed my experience at this place.

We were going to have dinner here but chose lunch instead. Food came out in minutes. Service wonderful and food wonderful.

Don’t go to Chinatown and please try out this restaurant if you crave for great Sinchuan foods. A good variety of reasonably priced menus - great that they have vegetarian version for mapo tofu! We loved it very much. Good dimsums too. Also loved the interior, clean and spacious with a Chinese touch. Polite and prompt services from all servers. The only one thing was that the black sesame icecream was a tad disappointing - Regardless the main menus tasted all beautiful and will definitely come back to try different dishes.

Great Sichuan cuisine! Very nice service! We got there at lunch time, so we had to wait a while for a table, but it was worth it. Very tasty soups, Dim Sum also very good. It's worth stopping by and trying it.

Dined here for dinner Saturday night 2nd December 23 and was the best overall dining experience of our 4 Day trip to London. If you enjoy Chinese cuisine then the quality of the food together with the customer service will not disappoint. Will definitely return.

The food is delicious and authentic. The service is very attentive and courteous and prompt. The reception with Lisa at the helm is everything you can ask for. An excellent restaurant and one you cannot miss in London.

Service went above and beyond. We were a party of four adults with a baby who had just come in from the airport. We had three large luggages but the restaurant let us dine in. They kept our luggages for us in a safe place.

We were visiting from the US, celebrating our 35th anniversary. Craving Chinese, we found this place. This was the best Chinese I’ve had in many years. I would come back to London just to eat here! The pressed duck appetizer was exceptional We also had hot and sour soup The best wonton soup -made without pork! Fried rice Fried beef dish and sweet snd sour chicken And a classic Chinese dessert. I would have eaten there every night, it was that good. Our server, Eddie was a very kind and knowledgeable man. He even told us the people next to us were Americans too and we all had a good chat!

This restaurant is certainly off the beaten track but it’s always very busy, and we’ll worth the effort to get to. Although it specialises in Szechuan cooking there dishes for those who like their Chinese food less spicy. The menu is varied and has some unusual items on offer as well as more mainstream ones. The soft shell crab is fantastic as is the shredded chicken, and the chicken in black bean sauce and wok fried chicken are very good. The staff are attentive and the place runs like clockwork thanks to the lovely Lisa. Looking forward to our next visit.

Our third visit since finding Ma La through Trip Advisor. The restaurant is large but the atmosphere is cosy. It has always been very busy when we went so booking definitely advisable. The soft shell crab, chicken in black bean and the wok fried chicken are great. For many of the dishes you can specify how much you want your tongue to tingle. Lisa, the host is lovely and makes sure the restaurant runs smoothly. Looking forward to trying some other items on the menu next time.

Lovely spot near Westminster. Excellent food that won't burn a hole in your pocket. The place stays true to its name and serves up authentic Sichuan dishes like sea bass in hot oil. They also have a delectable selection of dim sum. Worth the trip!

Today's service was honestly terrible. We're regulars here, so we usually enjoy our visits, but today was a letdown. We didn't have a reservation, and when we walked in, this Chinese lady at the front counter greeted us in such a condescending way. It felt like she thought we had to beg to eat there. To top it off, she rudely told us we had to leave our table in just an hour. We think there could have been a much nicer way to handle the situation. We left pretty disappointed.

I have been to this restaurant on several occasions, and it never disappoints. The food is authentic with no frills, full of flavors and lightens your taste buds like NYE fireworks. The decor and layout of the restaurant makes it feel like a high-end restaurant, but the environment is relaxed at the same time. The service is very fast and friendly. Their Szechuan dishes are fiery and their specialty. DO not miss their whole sea bass while you are there. A must try if you in the Westminster area and love Chinese food.

Frenetic energy, very busy, felt very rushed. Food was ok - not that memorable. Server got into a bit of an argument / debate w/me about the hot and sour soup. He noticed I didn't eat mine - I said unfortunately it's flavorless (and it was) - and he said I didn't understand how spicy Sichuan food was (I do) - I said it wasn't sour enough - and it's completely missing the sour - the vinegar. For the record, it was also completely missing any heat or spice. So I don't really know what was lost in translation there, but I'd absolutely skip the hot and sour soup until they manage to make it absolutely hot AND sour.

Small Chinese restaurant with an exceptional staff. Tried the Dim Sum Platter with 4 different dumplings and they were very tasty, savory & delicious. Had thr prawn fried rice and it was good. Prices are very reasonable.

Best salt and pepper squid I have had in a very long time. Staff are really friendly and pay that extra attention to detail that really counts. They really make you feel welcome, and the flavour of the food excels expectations

I absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was clearly lovingly made and the general ambience is so inviting. The service was near exceptional. They clearly run a tight, well oiled machine where everyone working performs their best with positive disposition which never feels forced or uncomfortable. They never allow your water glass to go dry and the food comes out with such a timely precision I was surprised. Had such a good time and I highly recommend the sweet and sour spare ribs (for the meat eaters) had to get second portion to go (admittedly). Overall a such a great experience.

I really like Sichuan dishes, so I went to this Sichuan restaurant for the first time and I am very pleased. The food was as good as I expected it to be, the Mapo tofu was delicious! Ginger lamb was also very tasty! We were served very quickly by friendly waiters. There was a very nice atmosphere and the restaurant is clean. I recommend

Came here with work. Very suitable for large groups, can be seated on a table with a turntable. Dishes tasted good and were authentic. Overall good experience and would come again.

Having arrived at the restaurant just in time, I had to make a quick dash back to the hotel room. The staff were very accommodating and were able to supply a table despite me returning later than originally booked. Delicious and authentic Sichuan food. For the starter, had the steamed dumplings with pork fillings which were very tender. Had the Dry Wok Pig Intestines for my main course which was delicious and spicy with a very succulent flavour. The service staff were very friendly and regularly supplied fresh water for the spicy food which was most appreciated. Had the Black Sesame Ice Cream for desert which was a refreshing conclusion to the meal. Will certainly be visiting again in the near future.

The wife and I really enjoyed our meal at Ma La Sichuan. This was our second visit and the food was as brilliant as the first time we visited almost a year ago. Definitely the best chinese we've been to in London, at least so far! Highly recommend.

Booked here as a party of 6 for friend’s Birthday on a Saturday night. Daughter works in Victoria and recommended it to us. The food was fantastic, we had mixed starters which was plentiful between us. We ordered the set menu and added on some noodles, the set menu we had included crispy aromatic duck which was really good. The thing that tops this restaurant is the amazing service we had from the staff, constantly cleaning the table, topping up water and wine and nothing was too much trouble. All in all a gem of a place, we will definitely be back.

This lovely and neatly decorated little restaurant is located in a quiet street of Westminster. Despite the quiet street, it was quite busy and lovely on a Friday yet not so noisy that we couldn’t have a conversation. We ordered a range of dishes, ie pickled mustard fish soup (super spicy and very original), fried rice, noodles, water spinach, dim sum platter, gong pao chicken, cumin lamb, sweet & sour prawns and braised pork. We also had the vegetarian set menu and the restaurant was very accommodating in going the extra mile in leaving certain ingredients out for vegan eaters. We orders so much food that we had to take some home. The waitress serving us was extremely helpful and friendly. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and had a lovely evening. I would certain go back.

Wonderful spot tucked into the neighborhoods around Parliament. The staff were so accommodating and the food was delicious. Special shout-out to our waitress, Sansan (I think that’s her name?) who advised us on wine and food suggestions. I love Sichuang food and managed to find Ma La, recommended by a friend. Have been a few times now and it is spectacular, LOVE the Sichuang Beef, always consistent too. Special thanks to Lisa for always looking after me!
