The food was very good and service efficient, while the prices are a bit high went it comes to paying the end bill I guess that's just London. Overall a very good spot for lunch.

My partner and I were there today, 10th March 2025, at 1730. When we arrived, we were told to wait outside to see if there were seats available, which I was fine with until I realised that this African lady was asking Asian people (please note we have Asian bkg) to wait outside whilst providing seats to Caucasian people straight away. The point I got really annoyed was when I asked the service fee to be removed for the above reasoning. The African lady removed the service fee and asked me to pay by QR code. When I asked if I could pay by EFTPOS machine, she just walked off without saying anything to me and another staff member kindly processed the billing. Coming from Melbourne, Australia, I am amazed that a hospitality worker can work with this attitude in London.

Kale salad and mushroom dish was the highlight. The pork belly bag was my favorite with the fried chicken bao in second place

The limited menu option is easy to navigate and order from. Got a table immediately! Very quick eat and out place! Friendly staff. Only one veg option in Bao was a little disappointing but the service is quick and the place is super busy! The sweet potato fries was really good! Portion size is small for the price. The cocktails were the highlight- loved the Margherita made by Pemba! We paid 29£ per person for 3 starters, 3 baos, 3 drinks and 1 side.

A classic in Soho (and London) where you can taste a good assortment of baos and other Asian dishes. The place, informal, does not take reservations and always has very long lines at the door. If you go at odd hours, you won't have to wait For me, it is the perfect place to go for a snack on those days of tourism or shopping when you don't have much time and want to eat something quick and delicious.

Had the solo menu for £20 and it was lovely. Peanut milk was delicious and the guinea fowl rice was very good. Also never had a cup of tea with a little sniffing cup before!

The baos were excellent, very refined. We loved the sweet potato fries. The service is efficient and fast. The restaurant is small and cozy. Note that the portions are not copious. Great dining experience. I recommend.

Bun bread was very good. It's soft and melts in your mouth. Beef was very good. Fried chicken was also good, but it was a little dry and I wouldn't recommend it. There was a seasonal honey pork style bun, it had thick and fatty whole pork, I didn't like it very much. I do not recommend. Sweet potato chips were very good, but the portion was a little small. I tried Taiwanese beer for the first time, it was light and delicious, I recommend it. These are much smaller than they appear, since we had a snack beforehand, this order was ok, but if you are hungry, you can eat 4-5 per person. The place is very small, it is difficult to find a seat without reservation. You make the payment through the internet browser, I liked the innovative systems of the business.

I recently had dinner at this restaurant, and I left thoroughly impressed. The service was both efficient and friendly, with a team that was attentive and welcoming. The £15 menu is excellent value for money. It includes a bao of your choice, which was absolutely delicious, followed by crispy chicken that was perfectly crunchy and flavorful. The meal was rounded off with a bowl of rice and guinea fowl, which was well-prepared and packed with taste. Every dish was well-balanced and satisfying. For dessert, I couldn’t resist the Fried Chocolate Ice Cream. It was a true indulgence, with the perfect balance of crisp and creamy textures. I highly recommend this restaurant for a simple, tasty, and affordable meal!

Excellent restaurant. I went because it was in the Michelin guide. Extremely clean and organized. Attentive staff who ask about dietary restrictions. Innovative and delicious menu. Light and fluffy bao buns. Lived up to my expectations. I liked it so much that ended up buying the T-shirt they sell because the recipe book (which was what I really wanted as a souvenir for my trip) was too heavy to carry in my suitcase.

Its a very very tiny place and we dont have enough place to even sit properly. Having said that the food was delicious 😋. Everything we had was just amazing and would definitely go back there. The price was also so reasonable. We went there on a weekday night for dinner and the place was packed. Tells a lot about the food.

A charming restaurant for lunch or dinner in town. The dishes are served quickly and are delicious. A wide choice and full of delicious flavors. There is limited space inside, so for busy days, plan to come early.

We were hoping to try their exclusive Year of the Snake menu, only to realize this location didn’t have it 😢. But hey, no complaints—we made up for it by going all in! We started with their Classic BAO, fried chicken, and melt-in-your-mouth beef short rib—each one as good as ever. Then, we couldn’t resist some specials, including the honey-glazed pork bao (sweet, sticky perfection) and the Snake Bao with pistachio cream to finish on a sweet note. Even without the special menu, it was a proper feast—Bao never disappoints! 🥢🔥

By far the best and most authentic baos I have ever eaten. The buns are fluffy and soft with extremely well-coordinated fillings. The Taiwanese fried chicken is fresh, crispy and hot. As well as very tender meat in soy sauce. As well as very refreshing Asian lemonades. The staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful. The restaurant feels like a getaway in Southeast Asia and deserves its Bib Gourmand award. An absolute must visit.

Lovely food and lovely service.

Firstly, I had the crispy chicken bao.The buns were the perfect spongy consistency, and although it was a lot spicier than expected, the crispy, tender chicken inside was amazing!! The waiters were sweet and gave lovely recommendations for the food and how to enjoy it. My daughter also had the chicken bao, and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly, so it’s wonderful for younger people as well. I hope this review helped some people and encouraged them to come here for a meal!
