Lagenda Malaysian Cuisine in City of London, Westminster

Unfortunately, this restaurant is closed. We tried to visit this restaurant during our holidays in London (September 10th) and the local seemed to be closed from several months before.

Enjoyed a great team dinner on 1st September at Lagenda- wonderful food and service! When we arrived they had set up a big table for our party of 10 outside the restaurant building on the terrace. The waiters were very attentive throughout, nothing was too much trouble and they were very welcoming. The food was sensational, very delicious and good portion sizes. A very varied menu too! I recommend the salt and pepper squid to start and then the lemon chicken main- yummy. Will definitely return!

Me and my partner enjoyed a couple of first class meals here, we were well looked after! Would definitely recommend!

This place offers a very extensive menu in very pleasant surroundings. The service is also good, so the whole experience was delightful. My son ate the Aromatic Crispy Duck as a main course which he said was just perfect. It is served with a box of pancakes and vegetables and you may wrap all the ingredients into a pancake if you wish. I tried Lemon Chicken which was also very good and recommended. We ordered Egg Fried Rice on the side, which is served with garlic, spring onions and egg. It was really delicious. The bill was about $45, which I thought was pretty good, considering the vast amount of food we were served.

The menu offers enough dishes for everyone. I chose a spicy noodles plate and it was very tastefull and not too spicy. The service was a bit slow but friendly. Price/quality is more than OK.

I went wit my family we had a dinner the foods was rubbish and cockroaches in our foods.we saw mise in the restaurant.

If you want to eat somewhere with delicious food and five-star service, look no further! The menu is very reasonably priced, and each dish we tried was perfection on a plate.

My husband and I ordered roti canai, mix veggies and mee goreng mamak style. The roti canai was as good as any I can get in Malaysia! Brilliant! The mixed veggies and mee goreng mamak style were very tasty as well. Fast and friendly service!

Food is disgusting! Worst sweet and sour chicken I've ever had. I had a meal delivered through Feast. The meal was not wrapped properly so by the time I received it it was cold, the bag was broke, there was no sauce, plus when I tried to salvage the meal and eat it - it was totally disgusting! I called immediately, spoke to Claudia who reluctantly apologized and told me a refund would be issued by manager. Well, alas, no refund was ever issued!! No surprise, my advice - SKIP THIS RESTAURANT, unless you want GROSS FOOD & BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Looked for a pleasant oriental restaurant to go to around Paddington and came across this place. Is part of a small hotel and humble building 10 mins walk from the station. The staff gave us a warm welcome and restaurant was bright and well set out. On the food front the menu was extensive but we were somewhat surprised about the portions when they came., not generous and made the whole evening expensive for what we had. Saying that the food was tasty,

Booked online as near our hotel and didn't want to travel too far. Excellent menu hubby had crispy duck which he enjoyed. Started with spring roll then I had sweet and sour prawns which was freshly made and piping hot. It was quite and early evening so food was served quickly. Offered a drink on the house after the meal which was very kind. Would definitely use this restaurant again

The venue provides Chinese, Malaysian, Western cuisine, in Mediterranean taverna setting. Mosaic tile patterns, carvings. Not that I am familiar with Malaysia culture, decor etc.

We were staying next door at the Blackmore Hyde Park. Food was beautiful and authentic. Service was warm , welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. Our waiter , George was delightful. And we were offered an after dinner drink on the house. Wonderful place for either a casual dinner or a special evening. Cannot fault ambience , food or service.

Lagenda offers large varity of good and mouth-watering Malaysian food and has friendly,welcoming staff who make it a place that you desire to keep coming back to. My Colleauge treated me at Lagenda and i would say that I will visit again and again. Highly recommeded in the area.

Pleased with the food (although too much). Friendly service and the restaurant manager was great. Wine was expensive and spirits were overpriced. Restaurant manage gave us a free drink at the end of the meal which was appreciated.

Mycket bra! Vi åt Crispy Duck + Dumpling Platter. Barnen åt fish’n chips och nudlar. Vi var alla mycket nöjda!

My wife loves malaysian food, so we went here for Dinner. The main dishes were fine and mighty spicey..in a good way Desert was good but not as impressive as The main meal. For the price it s good but not exceptional

Nice place with very kind people. The food was not a must, for our italian taste, by comparison with more traditional chinese food . Good french wine

Lagenda offers simple, good and spicy Malaysian food and has friendly, welcoming people who make it a place you want to keep coming back to.

We were staying in a nearby hotel and found this restaurant by chance. We were very happy with a share platter for starter, then we had the butter chicken curry and the chicken curry with roti. It was delicious and the chicken was so tender.

If you like Malaysian food, look no further and go to Lagenda! The food tastes truly authentic and the portions are really generous. The nasi goreng and the beef rendang are amazing, will definitely go back for more!

I had a late dinner the night we flew out of London. I ate at Lagenda which is located right in the same hotel I was staying at. I ordered the Singapore noodles. It was a little bit more spicy than I was expecting but the flavour was terrific. Service was good and the management was super friendly. Will highly recommend this restaurant to others.

Had a beer and a couple of appetisers to finish our day off. The food was excellent and the service was even better

I had a Singapore noodle and my friend had a curry with pancake, which were very good. Staffs there were friendly and took us to the window side with good view.

A staff welcomed us to the restaurant as soon as I and my friend walked in. There was a good variety of food available on the menu. The food was well cooked and tasty. The staff were also friendly.

We like their Gado Gado and curry dishes. I am also a fan of Latsko curry soup. The soup is on the menu but I didn’t get it because there were other items I wanted to try. Outdoor seating is very comfortable. We ate there three times during a two week stay.

We were offered drinks right away, the menu has plenty of different choices on.

During our wedding anniversey, we stayed in London, having a nice day out we decided to have an evening meal and fancied a Chinese, after looking on google we found this a stone throw from our hotel. So we gave it a go, what a great decision, we were welcomed by the staff and given a table. Ordered our drinks, We decided just to have a main course, both of what we chose came with rice, I ordered the beef and my wife the chicken, The food was presented nicely and was hot, on tasting was absolutely amazing the beef was cooked to perfection. My wife and I both cleared our plates. it was lovely. So if your in the area, pop in and try this food you will not be disappointed, that and the lovely staff.

The restaurant was easy to find with a lovely outside terrace which was packed. We ordered loads from the varied menu and everything tasted amazing. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure our experience was 1st class. Would go back in a beatbeat for that Beef Rendang! Thank you for a lovely evening.

I was on my own for business in London sleeping in the hotel next door to the restaurant. I went there the first night and I loved it so much that I came back twice . Service is amazing, very diligent and food is delicious. I highly recommend it

Such welcoming and friendly staff. The food is so fresh! Try the dim sum platter or the popular 'Nasi' Malaysian rice dish. Their Chinese sweet and sour chicken was so good too. Lovely selection of desserts. We had our starters and mains on their beautiful terrace and enjoyed coffee and dessert inside. Both areas are very comfortable. Our friend was in the mood for a steak which was on the small western section of the menu. It was great to have the option of this. We will definitely be back to try the sushi which people seem to love.

Came here for dinner- super portion sizes and very reasonably priced. Had soup, duck, sweet and sour chicken and some drinks. The manager could not have been more hospitable and went out of his way to make us feel so welcome. Really enjoyed drinks after our meal too. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend!

I am Malaysian food foodie who likes the richness of the hawker style food. The curry chicken I had was awful, tasted like old chicken pieces sitting in a dish for too long. The fact that they served it at all knowing its quality, tells me that it does not care about quality. Can I trust it again? Not likely. The owners need to bring the quality of the food to the same standard as the good service provided by the staff.

We had an amazing dinner with great staff. The food was insanely delicious and the staff were really friendly who couldn’t do enough for us. I’d highly recommend this restaurant, such a great visit.

Despite only dropping by to get a takeaway meal on our way back to our hotel, we were welcomed warmly, invited to sit at the bar, and had a lovely chat with the manager and staff while waiting for our order. The food was prepared quickly and we were very impressed with both the tasty meal and the great service.

I am a frequent traveler to London and found the staff and food to be superb. The service is beyond great. They are polite, professional, and provide a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is cozy and offers a fine selection of entrees. My favorite is the Chocolate egg rolls! You can't miss stopping in and indulging yourself with such a delicious treat :))

We chose Lagenda for our mid-week evening meal choice. We were very impressed by the friendly and efficient service provided. The food was of a good standard and there was plenty choice for a wide range of tastes. Good value for money all round.

Had an early evening meal at this restaurant last night, the food and service was excellent, highly recommend for an inexpensive pleasurable break for the hustle and bustle of Paddington.

The food was lovely, we have order holiday villa platter. Good selection choices, we all finished so quick, each other us have our main course, we all finished and empty the plate. The dessert I will highly recommended called Majan Deight ( banana fritter with vanlina ice-cream. The service was delightful.

Lovely, calm atmosphere, excellent service, and authentic food! The sashimi was absolutely delicious and prepared beautifully; I would definitely recommend it. I also had the beef rendang and loved the spicing and preparation!

The food was great, the fried beehoon was good. However the curry was too expensive for just 4 pieces of chicken and a piece of potato. Probably what was expensive was the steamed rice, which I wouldn’t require. It would be great if you could ask if your customers needed the rice - so that it wouldn’t go to waste and we don’t have to pay extra. All in all, food’s great so you can try it.

Just brilliant, especially after a long day doing tourist things, to be able to walk down to the restaurant was magic. The staff were great and made us feel like locals. The food especially the specials were great value. The size of the meals also was generous.

Great place and I think the best outlet of Malaysian cuisine in the entire UK. Their nasi lemak and Adam laksa and curry dishes are really unique for taste, originality, flavour and fragrance. It's a bit expensive but it is actually according to the average price one would pay in foreign countries especially if you are touring London. However, great value and very good service

This restaurant is in the most picturesque street, dinner staff were very friendly and meals were amazing especially the crispy chicken & pasta dishes.

If you want authentic Malaysian food in London, this is the place to go! We truly love their Nasi Lemak and Asam Laksa (the asam laksa tasted like my mom's cooking!). The price is a bit expensive, but the price is worth it for quality food.

I ate at Lagenda as part of a group, all of whom love Asian food and have travelled extensively in Asia. We all agreed that the Malaysian cuisine at Lagenda was authentic and a lovely reminder of our travels.

We were a group of 4, and all of us had a super time. The food was so varied and tasty, and the atmosphere is good The restaurant is part of the Holiday Villa Hotel, we just chanced upon it by accident and it was fortunate we did. Lovely, luscious, laid back and a L of a good value place.

Great outdoor seating. Fabulous and friendly service. The staff & restaurant was gracious enough to stay open late to accommodate the late night concert goers. We also enjoyed watching England vs Croatia from the comfort of their great indoor bar!

Er zijn verschillende keuzes en een aparte sushikaart. De pasta is niet slecht maar ook niet de beste. Steak is steak. De sushi was niet slecht maar voor mij iets teveel mayonaise tussen. De dumplings zijn lekker. Ook de witte huiswijn is degelijk.

The restaurant is located in the hotel I was staying and went there for a dinner and enjoyed each bite of it. The staff were friendly, the food got served timely and the taste of the food was excellent. Definitely would go back.

El personal era amable, el servicio era de primera categoría y la comida era excelente. En nuestra primera noche tuve el pato Ball estilo crujientes y sopa miso. El Miso fue que tenía un sabor diferente, pero era Miso japonés bueno y el pato era excelente.

I have eaten here a few time now .the staff are very friendly and very accommodating. The food is always presented very nicely and with such a wide range to choose from .and all very nicely cooked and would highly recommend to any one.

Hot plate chicken noodles sweet soja sauce, the fish&chips; with tartar sauce and the dessert fried banana with honey were delicious.

Very nice Malysian food freshly cooked and a great taste. The fish we had was incredible nicely cooked just good and and with a fantastisch sauce. All the right flavors on a plate ... sweet, sour, salty ... Nice and friendly English Malay ambiance! We only missed the Singapore Slings ... :)

Had dinner here on our first night in London. Food was delicious and and very well priced. The female waitresses were quite friendly, however the headwaiter or manager was not at all and made us feel unwelcome. That's the only reason I am not giving an excellent rating.

I have stayed in the Hotel, to which the restaurant is attached on several occasions but have never been into the restaurant in the past, not going in was a mistake, the food and service is great.

I like malay food, in fact all southest asian cuisine. The meals did not disappoint. We had the crispy aromatic duck and steamboat. The last time I had it that good I was in Hong king in 1997. Warrants a return trip.
