The pearls were nice, I chose a hot coconut tea and it simply tasted of hot sweet milk. I was really rather disappointed after paying nearly £4. I shall not return again.

Take a stroll around Soho/Chinatown nowadays and you'll find an explosion of bubble tea cafes - Chatime, Cuppacha, Bubbleology, Biju and Mooboo to name a few. I've visited all of these and I think Chew deserves the gold medal for the following reasons:

Having been an avid bubble tea drinker for many years, I decided yesterday to visit Chew, new in town. I had the kumquat with lychee fruitpops and can honestly say it was one of the best bubble teas I have ever had!! Added to that is the funky layout and service with a smile - And they do bubble coffee too!! I'll be having that next...:) Definitely recommend

Tried chew for the first time and was instantly addicted to it. I wasn't sure what it was at the beginning , new experience to my mouth , new textures and flavour mixes , i think i had the Jasmine with Lychee Tapioka and i think i hit the jackpot with that combination i chose. If you have never had Chew before , i highly advise it , if you have then you know what i am talking about. The Staff there were very friendly and took their time to explain everything to me. One of things to pick out when you're in Soho for sure ....

Similary restaurants in London

Unfortunately, this restaurant is closed. We tried to visit this restaurant during our holidays in London (September 10th) and the local seemed to be closed from several months before.

We really loved our visit to Lahpet on a sunny Sunday lunchtime, seated outside on the terrace. It felt a bit like being on holiday. Service from our young waitress was really sweet and attentive. The crispy fried bream dish is a taste sensation and is really popular judging by the number of plates going past. The aubergine with crispy onion and peanuts is also a winner. We will definitely return as we discovered we really enjoy the flavour profile of Burmese food.
