I visited Lynne’s cafe this morning for a light breakfast. I had 2 poached eggs on a slice of toast, together with a mug of tea. Food was beautifully cooked and very fresh. The staff were lovely and attentive even though the cafe was busy. Will certainly be back.

Popped in for a quick lunch by myself and was pleasantly surprise, nice selection on the menu and very reasonably priced. Shame it’s so small as I think more people would come in, but to be fair the way the tables and chairs are positioned makes the best of the space. The toilet area is also very modern and clean and was surprised by this as thought it would just be a small room with a toilet in it as most cafes have.

This was our first visit here and although the cafe is fairly small it was very pleasant and well staffed. There was plenty to chose from on the menu. We had a sandwich and a jacket potatoe, and both were excellent well cooked, hot and presented well. The staff were plesant ,welcoming and attentive. We will be definately be returning and trying other menu items.

We came here for breakfast and it was excellent everything is cooked to order so a bit of a wait but well worth it. The only reason I have given it four stars instead of five is because it is a bit cramped.

Ordered cheese on toast. One slice of bread and a sprinkle of cheese for £1.50? I know companies have to make a profit but come on. Considering the price of a loaf when their bread was clearly bog standard, you would have thought they would have given two slices for that price and who has garnish with cheese on toast anyway? Certainly won't be going back there! Definitely not service with a smile either!

My mother-in-law and I wanted a bite to eat whilst we were visiting Burgess Hill for the first time. We stumbled upon Lynne's Cafe. On first impressions was it was busy - Which usually is a good sign! We were not disappointed. I ordered a Hunters Chicken with chips and side salad and coleslaw and my mother-in-law choose cheese and ham omelette, chips and side salad and coleslaw. When our food arrived it was a large portion - So well worth the money!. We ordered coffee which arrived before our meal, Which was nice and hot in good sized mugs. The staff were very attentive, the table were cleared and cleaned straight away. We also used their toilet amenities, which was lovely and clean. We would definitely go back to Lynne's Cafe and recommend it to friends and family.

Currently sitting outside having lunch with my son, he is munching on the burger and chips and they are very nice. I had a piece of cake but we had to wait ages for the drinks not sure why we didn’t get them when we ordered. Eventually got drinks but had to ask for spoon to stir my tea. They prices are really good, would come back again but would want drinks straight away.

Lynne's Café used to be in the Martlett's Shopping Centre but they have relocated to the main street and this was the first time I've been in there, last Tuesday. I had the full breakfast and was pleased to see it was up to the previous standard. Piping hot, served on an oval plate a nicely cooked egg/bacon/sausage/mushrooms/baked beans/hash brown and toast, and a nice mug of tea. Set me up for the day. The place is bright and airy and was nice nd clean. And the lady who served me (with a smile) was polite and friendly. Glad I made the slight detour to go there :)

Having relocated a while back Lynne's Cafe still maintains high standards for cleanliness and good honest food. The ladies are friendly and work busily as a well organised team. The meals they provide are excellent. The cafe is small and seats about 20 and the kitchen forms part of the cafe. The establishment is very popular, and deserves to be, if you time it right you will find a table. The food is freshly cooked and, dare I say it, as good as you would get at home. Lynne's Cafe offers good value, quick service and is highly recommended.

I have already done a review and wanted to update it as I have recently popped in to Lynne's for breakfast. I order the 'traditional' breakfast (they have various options for breakfast). The quality was very good, better standard than some of the nearby places. Served with a smile on a nice oval place. Liked it and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Martletts Shopping Centre.

I've visited here a few times. Reasonable quality food at reasonable prices in clean but cramped surroundings. Unpretentious. That said, I find the demeanour of the all-female staff somewhat unwelcoming. Stony faces more often than not. This might be policy given that limited space must surely require a swift turnover of customers.

I go to Burgess Hill fairly regularly and often stop off for a coffee. I got a bit fed up with the big chain coffee shops serving Mad Hatter sized cups of heavy ground coffee for £2.25+, and decided to look around for an alternative. I happened upon Lynne's Café, which is situated in The Martlets Shopping precinct. Lovely modern and clean café, serving a good range of food. They also serve a coffee like you might have at home - regular mug, (probably) instant coffee at the princely sum of 90p. I haven't eaten there but saw what some other people ordered and it looked good.

This is a very busy café/restaurant just on the way to the Martlets car park. It is a compact cafe/restaurant so space is sometimes limited and waiting times can be long. But this is also because it is so popular, particularly around lunchtime. Extremely friendly staff and a first class comprehensive Gluten-Free menu. Can't praise the quality of the very reasonably priced freshly cooked food more.

Overall staff are very nice, beer is good, food portions are embarrassingly small, this was £18, the staff said they have used cod rather then haddock that’s why it’s smaller and thicker, it was tiny…. I’ve actually really enjoyed coming here over the last few years but probably won’t eat here again.

I'll start with some good things: The staff was friendly and the overall atmosphere was nice, they have some board games which are great fun for the kids and adults. That's about it. I honestly don't understand how this pub has such a high rating. Maybe because people only have a drink there and then leave 5*. Nothing we tried tasted or looked better than 3*. Pretty much the only thing on the kids menu that was available was fish fingers and chips. They even ran out of pasta. Adults menu didn't have much to offer either. We ended up having a pie, burgers and scampi, and it just wasn't great. No one enjoyed their meals and I had an upset stomach all evening after that burger.
