Lovely little cosy pub, not busy at all. The servers are amazing and very helpful. The slow roasted beef rib was to die for, will definitely come back for more 😊

The Lumbertubs delivered solid food and friendly staff, but the star of the show as always is the cheesecake. A creamy delight that's simply unforgettable.

I’m usually not one to leave reviews, but honestly, this pub meal was one of the worst I’ve ever had. I had no idea you could mess up chicken so badly. The first issue was waiting for our drinks. They sat on the bar for 10 minutes before giving up and having to go fetch them ourselves. Most of us ordered the chicken and mix, which included boneless chicken wings and a southern fried chicken skewer. I think I would have preferred the wings and found it easier to chew through the bones than the burnt, thick coating on them. The skewer wasn’t much better, and neither had much chicken in it. The chips were clearly cheap supermarket-bought and lukewarm when they arrived. One of our friends’ steaks was overdone and sent back, it came back out once everyone had finished eating. I will definitely not be returning to this pub.

Booked on a Saturday night, was quite busy but as always staff pleasant and attentive. Table clean and service exceptional Food and drink spot on

regular group customer disgraceful attitude this evening 'cannot sit at the end of the table' so where do you expect me to sit on my own these are friends both knees were squashed and painful both replaced. you ignored me after your remark, do i go home very limited movement you did not deserve my custom this this evening and did not get it. hope you will be decent next time we visit every month.

We were served by a young lad called Oliver who was an absolute credit to the pub. He was polite and helpful. He couldn’t do enough to make our visit enjoyable. Give this lad a pay rise he’s a keeper 👍

We had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch. It was a good, plain, honest, roast dinner, excellently prepared, with no attempt to do anything fancy or pretentious to it - just what we like. The portions were adequate and filling, the service cheerful and it was excellent value. Of particular note was the vegan option, which was a very tasty mushroom and garlic bake - veggie items on menus are so often unimaginative afterthoughts - not so here! We will return.

We used the Function Room for a one day teaching event with the sandwich lunch Bronze platter. Food was very fresh and tasty. Staff were very friendly. Would recommend.

Very friendly staff. Really good service and choice available. Cocktails were tried beings as we were informed they were on offer. We didn't know. Really good. Delicious steak that tasted like beef! Ribs fell off the bone. All excellent

Very disappointed with the soft drinks. They don't fill the glass to the top and tell you this is the gap they leave for ice even if you don't want ice. Paying close to £15 for 4 cokes I expect the glasses to be full.

First time visit to The Lumbertubs. It has a nice atmosphere and is nicely decorated. I had chicken stripes with Chip Shop Curry Sauce. It was very tasty.

7 of us went for a meal early evening.. made a call to adjusr booking a few hrs before no issues , called me straight back , lovely food , bar staff very friendly and attentive , i was shocked at how cheap the bill was for 7 of us ! Have decided will be our new monthly get together place Thanks staff .!

My family and I decided to have a New Year’s Day evening meal. We bought our drinks (one of which was a coke that was flat) and took a table to look through the menu. During the time we had been sat there (20-30 minutes) The staff had been walking backwards and forwards past our table and could clearly see that we were looking at the menu, yet decided to wait until we actually got up to order to inform us that the kitchen was closed due to it being a quiet night. Thanks very much. By that time it was too late to go to a pub that would have still been serving food. We went to the car park whilst finishing our drinks to decide what to do next, where we were greeted by the site of the two chefs smoking their vapes, with one of them constantly spitting on the ground, nice. For one it doesn’t portray a very professional image regardless of whether you were working at the time or not, secondly spitting on the ground repeatedly is bloody disgusting. It’s habits like that that spread diseases like covid. We, like quite a few other people don’t really have the money to go out very often these days to eat, but when we could afford it we liked going to the Lumbertubs. Unfortunately the experience of last night has ensured that it will definitely be the last time we ever go there.

Great venue with lots on. Children friendly and a decent menu to choose from.

We visited this evening with 4 adults and 4 children. Service was quick and efficient and we had a laugh whilst ordering with the bar staff. The food was great value for money and can say that the tandoori boneless chicken bites were top notch. Look forward to visiting again soon. Forgot to mention absolute steal on cocktails BOGOF 6pm - 9pm Friday and saturday night. Well done guys made an enjoyable night for us and our friends

Went there today, 19th Dec for a works do, 14 of us. The food was good, plenty to choose from, good service and a relaxed atmosphere. Very happy with it today, give the place a try, well done to the staff and a Happy Christmas to you all 10/10

As a greene king pub it's good quality.

Bar staff a bit glum confiding it’s nearly Christmas. Beer was very good and very cheap. Had a quick snack of chicken wings and it was alright for the money. Steaks less than £10. Cheap, average quality but not so cheerful. Seemed to get quite busy (Sunday lunch) so must be doing something right.

What a lovely pub. Staff are fabulous. Well worth a visit.

Four of us had a lovely meal we all ordered the xxxmas burgers and was not disappointed our waitress Sinèad was really friendly and welcoming, as was the barman (sorry didn't get your name ) they both have a good sense a humor and very professional Well done both for great service 😊

Worst Sunday roast ever 2 slices of turkey that could have been bought in tescos for 80p cold veg no stuffing and lumpy gravey give this a miss

Not a very good experience, the staff (apart from the table staff) seemed uncaring and the food was very much sub-standard for the price . The tables were sticky!

A traditional unpretentious British pub serving good food, very reasonably priced, promptly by friendly staff. It achieves what it sets out to provide simply and efficiently and that's why I give it 5 stars. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

The roast dinner was served hot, as it should be, and was very tasty. None of the staff came near us after the food was delivered to check that we were happy with it.

We hired the function room this weekend for a baby shower and was absolutely amazing food was brilliant and also the staff was so amazing and helpful really couldn’t do enough thank youuu all

We chose the Lumbertubs because of the welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food. We have always had a good experience here so we booked the function room for a wake for a much loved Mother and Grandmother. We arranged it all over the phone with Sally who was very helpful and could not do enough for us. Sally was there on the day and made sure everything was ready as requested. Everyone appreciated the tea and coffee station and the buffet lunch was excellent. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and it went a long way to help us all cope with a very emotional day.

Food was average. Manager of pub is rude and needs to learn to speak to people with respect. Poor atmosphere, was very empty in there. Wouldn't recommend

Not bad at all. They have added to their menu ( which they needed to ) but what they have are very tasty.

Staff were amazing couldn’t find a fault at all very efficient and fast, food was spot on too came out hot just as it looked on the menu will definitely be going again and telling all my friends this is the best place in town burgers were amazing especially the stack burger and the chocolate trio bar was to die for thought i had gone to heaven

Food arrived with most practically all of the roast potatoes burnt on everyones plate. Went to the bar to ask for some replacements, rather than just ordering some replacements, the person at the bar came to 'inspect' the meals to prove I was telling the truth. The replacements where also burnt... The Veg was like mush and the roast beef was bone dry. We asked for some Horse Radish to take the edge of the poor quality meat, but they said they had ran out... The toilets stunk to high heaven and clearly had not been cleaned for a long time. Would not return, it was over priced for its poor quality food, and most of the staff behaved as if we was an inconvenience. The manager was polite, but the rest of the staffs behaviour made me and my family feel uncomfortable. Would not return.

Since the covid 19 lie and scam the Green King pubs have gone right down in service. Used to enjoy going for a few drinks. Staff are never at the bar and then take ages to serve you. Or hpp over you and serve another customer. Also beer seems to give me stomach ache sine the afore mentioned covid scam. Have green king stopped using co2 in there products. If so shame on you. Co2 is a natural gas and without it nothing can exist. So bowing down to sick government agendas and wef/who fakery on climate change just adds to the sickness governing the world illegally now.

Was told they are not serving food because it was raining, after being told by overstone manor another greenking that this pub was serving food 👌

We took my dad out for dinner with 15 members of our family, the staff dealt with all of our requirements without any problem. Food was good and hot.

Although this is a chain pub, the difference here is the staff who are so friendly and helpful, the food lives up to the menu ours was hot and full of flavour and there is a great choice. For anyone who wants a decent reasonabley priced meal this fits the bill.

Stopped here this week for a family lunch, the menu choice is huge, we had burgers, a senior meal and dessert. The drinks range is impressive but we were non alcoholic this week but again lots of choice. The staff are super friendly, customer service was excellent and the food really good. We will definitely be back.

Been a while since I’ve been in still a Great pub with a great atmosphere. The food is always on point

Wasn't the best experience, came with family for a meal last Saturday, service was quite good but disappointed with the food, the skillet that the food was served on made the taste really horrible which assume is the way they get washed and it's sadly taken the yaste away from the food, apple pie wasn't nice either peas were cold chips were warm but not hot and I ordered a steak Medium but came Medium Rare which I'm very disappointed about, service is good but the food is what let me down sadly, parking is good but the spaces need repainting as there starting to fade

Local pub we use for going for a meal. Food always good.

After an unfortunate mix up on dates the staff went out of their way to accommodate the 13 of us who were catching up since leaving Wilko. They made room for us and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The food and service was excellent and Tina really looked after us. We will definitely be coming again. Monty bless him rearranged tables for us and the bar staff were also very helpful

Excellent meal & very friendly staff

I went here with 2 clients who have additional needs and the staff hear was so lovely and friendly towards them both, instead of talking to the clients through me the staff spoke to the clients which was so nice to see as a support worker. I will be back and bring some other of the guys here as well

Had a lovely afternoon with friends yesterday. All though I know it's a Grill menu, I fancied something light, and the Steak flatbread was just right. Sat out in the garden under a beautiful pagoda. Staff were great too. All in all a Fab, peaceful Saturday afternoon.

This Pub is friendly and welcoming. I visit regularly both personally with family, and with the company I work for. My most recent visit was with my workplace, supporting people with Learning Disabilities on a trip out to have lunch. The whole team are always friendly, accommodating and patient. They ensure that all guests are comfortable and enjoying their experience. Monty, Sam and the rest of the team are always smiling and ready to go the extra mile to make sure that we have everything we need. Each visit, the food has always been fresh and well worth the money. Thank you, to the whole team for being so kind and hospitable. Always an enjoyable meal.

I ordered the choctastic sundae and thought it was normal.Then I see a another man get the exact same and his was 2 times the size.I didn’t like the chips aswell.
