Great food and lovely to sit outside on a sunny evening with our dogs. One of the staff even took our dog for a little walk whilst we ate! Amazing!

Amazing food and Giovanni the owner is so friendly. A wonderful atmosphere and staff is always nice and helpful. The range of antipasti and pizza ... pasta and meat is over all the expectations. I defenitely recommend L' Ultimo.

Pleasant interior, with interesting decor and Italian music or radio playing, giving authentic Italian vibes. Friendly attentive waiter. Nice food but have eaten similar Italian for less expense.

Quick to take my order, but my food took one hour! They couldn't make me gluten free pizza and it added an extra £2 on the bill, which I got them to remove as they said they couldn't make me gluten free. I had lunch time deal for £6. Pizza was good but the food took too long!

We were there for lunch today. The restaurant was entirely empty except for 1 other table. We waited 30 minutes for order to be taken and then 2 hours for the mains to arrive. The tomatoe soup tasted like microwaved pasta sauce from a can. The mains were not tasty at all. The wine was ok but not worth the £195 we spent for a lunch for 3. The manager said the chef was new but clearly the set up is not working.

Our meal was spoilt by burnt pizza bases, hence the low score (but not charged for pizzas). Will probably try again but cannot yet recommend.

Incredible food, totally surpassed my expectations. I really didn’t think Italian food could be this good outside of Italy, let alone on Leatherhead high street. The owner Giovanni is a wonderful host and provides excellent service. I would totally recommend this restaurant and I see why people travel from far and wide to come here, it’s no wonder it has stood the test of time. We feel pretty lucky to have access to such good food on our local high street, shame we left it so long before trying it out. Thank you for your hospitality.

Best Italian in Leatherhead! Amazing food and service. Pastas were great and pizzas were to die for. Services was very good considering it was a big group of us. This was the second time visiting and I will be back soon.

We come here regularly as locals and have previously never had much of an issue (minus slow service). Today we took our whole family for lunch for my husbands birthday including siblings, parents, 2 young children etc. first we get told the pizza oven is broken after we have all ordered pizzas, which probably couldn’t be helped. I ordered their chicken salad which I’ve had previously and was good but this time it tasted and smelt a bit off - I picked at it a bit and then eventually gave up. I then suddenly noticed at least 3 maggot looking insects crawling around in my bowl - it was totally repulsive and I felt sick to my stomach. The owner did apologise but did not take responsibility and blamed the local supermarket for not washing their salad. We walked out and left and will never be returning. We all feel repulsed and shocked by the experience and it ruined our entire day.

Pizza oven broke while making it, which is bad luck, but….salad had bugs in it, which my sister only saw at the end of the meal. Sainsburys salad leaves not washed properly (direct quote) such a huge shame as the pasta and beer were lovely at that point. Walked out!!

Such a shame. Just tried to call to ask about supporting a small business enquiring about a raffle prize. Was cut very short. Shame a small community company didnt want to help a fellow one when offering to spend money on a dining voucher just asked for a small discount. Lost out on a lot of social media coverage.

I can’t understand why this restaurant has any 5 star reviews. Get comfy, this may be a long one. We walked in and was met by an extremely intoxicated male (which i’ve now learnt is the owner). Obviously we didn’t know this at first, assumed he was full of charisma and just wanted to be friendly. He took our drink order as one would. I asked for a glass of pinot and somehow ended up with two. He laughed and said ‘guess this is mine now!’. We chuckled with little knowledge of what kind of experience we were about to have. Our starters came, they were decent. My partner had ordered scallops and you could imagine the delight on his face when he was greeted with 2 bite sized pieces. My partner’s dad asked for some parmesan on his starter. Made the joke he’d love the whole thing. The owner then proceeded to dump the whole thing on his plate. He took the joke quite literal. Our mains arrived. One ended up on the table. The drunk owner managed to plop a whole calzone in front of us, with the sauce spraying all over my partner’s top. With 5 pretty shocked faces, he then picked up the sauce with his fingers and placed it back on top of the calzone. With no apology, he took it back inside. He then waited about 2 minutes, brought it back out with half a tub of rosemary as an attempt to cover up the mess and tried to give the calzone he had dropped on the table previously BACK TO MY PARTNER. Once confronted, he asked if we wanted black pepper - yes you’ve read that correct - no apology and ignored the fact he had just brought out a second hand calzone. Every now and then i’d look up and meet his eyes, staring at us through the glass that separated the inside and outside of the restaurant. I thought it would be a one off but was terrified to look back and see him still staring. He seemed shocked someone was eating there, that or he had seen a ghost. After scoffing a whole spaghetti dish and pizza 2 tables away from us, he collected our plates. As he stumbled into the distance, we heard a crash. You’d never guess what he had dropped, every single plate. Would 10/10 never recommended this place to anyone. Everyone who worked there seemed fed up of his behaviour. On a brighter side there was a lovely young man there - didn’t catch his name. He was polite and should definitely look elsewhere for employment.

Absolutely delicious food, wonderful relaxing atmosphere. We came as a large group of adults and children and ordered a large variety of meals and all of them were gorgeous, authentic, fresh and full of flavour. The service was exceptionally good, friendly and attentive. Would give more than 5 stars if I could! Please go and enjoy the incredible restaurant!

This used to be good. Tonight might have been the worst meal of my life. There was no one else eating there on a Friday so I guess everyone knew. When we complained they said pay what you want and switched the lights off. It was my wife's birthday. DON'T GO THERE!

Let me start by saying I had to pay £17 for small portion of gluten-free pasta dipped in butter and a couple vegetable shavings 😢😢and they wanted to charge me extra because it was gluten-free 😢😢 The place was huge and nicely decorated, and yes, they do have special offer on for lunch, but if you miss the lunch deals it’s overly priced for the food quality that you get.

Health hazard! avoid! We have ordered a takeaway (calzone and kids chicken milanese). Calzone was luke warm and very salty but what was an even bigger shock kids chicken was way past its use by date and smelled horrible. Thankfully we have noticed the smell before serving it to our child, which could have ended up it pretty bad food poisoning. Very poor standards especially it being a kids meal! Will definitely avoid in the future!

Had to visit the Leatherhead office, which required an overnight stay, came here for dinner with one of the other new starters, food was fantastic, we managed to have a drink, dinner and dessert with coffee to find nish and still stay within budget 😁

I was very disappointed we arrived at 6:30 pm We waited over an hour; when I asked the host whether he could give me a time for the food, he forgot to order our meals which delayed us; we left the restaurant at 19:45 very hungry; the host was standoffish, and he was drunk. This is improper behaviour.

A nice place. Decent price for lunch and lunches were reasonably priced. Service was prompt to good. I would have expected more heat in my Arabiata though. It is my go to dish at Italian restaurants and last summer I had a number of similar dishes around the Bay of Naples. It was nice, just not a powerful enough Ragu for my taste.

Worst experience I ever had,I told specifically that I don’t want any meat in my pasta and I ask this to waitress and she assured me that it will be vegetarian but then I got meat sausage my pasta,and then behaving like they are doing some kind of favour for changing that pasta,if you have any allergies don’t go to this restaurant as they don’t care…and yes they will charge you 5 pounds extra for this service

The food is amazing. I had a mixed seafood rissoto which was really delicious, normally I'm not a fan of seafood and this didn't disappoint me! And then desserts were lovely too. Yummy! The staff is really friendly, especially a young lady. We got offered a shot of lemoncello for everyone at the end of (for free I think). There were more than 10 of us, anyway, it was really nice!!

This is the most authentic Italian restaurant in Surrey. You will be diving into the warmest Italian experience. Well done Giovanni.

We had a delightful experience at l’Ultimo! We ordered spaghetti bolognese and lasagne from the lunch menu. The food arrived really quickly, freshly prepared and well presented. We also had a tiramisu to share, which was scrumptious! The portion size was generous too. Lively ambience and friendly, efficient staff. Highly recommend. Will be back soon.

Very selfish manager, didn't care about people in need of help and was asked to leave the restaurant and forced to go back into a dangerous situation, also didn't offer to call the police. Should feel ashamed ⬇️ Proves my point 🤣🤣

Hilarious night. The waiter was clearly drunk at 7.30. Our main course arrived at 10.00. The starters were wrong and the bill overcharged. We came to a mutually agreed bill far below the printed one. Food was average which was unfortunate as our last visit was superb. We wont go back sorry.

What a fabulous night we had on Friday! This was the first time we had dined out at the restaurant and it didn't disappoint! Why why why hadn't we been there before? I think this is now my new favourite place to have a meal! The staff were wonderful, the food absolutely delicious and the live entertainment excellent! We will definitely be back!

Went for 8 year olds birthday meal. He wanted pizza so we picked here. Food was great, plenty to go around and tasted great. Service to notch. The cherry on top was they had a singer in who sang happy birthday to him. A night to remember, thanks L'Ultimo..

Not sure how many times we've been here. The food is better than anything you get in Surrey and the service is brilliant. Some dishes on the menu, like the swordfish carpaccio, are not ones I've seen before or since. Amazing restaurant

I loved the place and the food. The staff were brilliant and the environment in the restaurant is fun and welcoming. We all sang happy birthday for a friend, they put some of our favorite Italian songs... I'll be back to try some of the pizzas and have a good time again! I had carbonara pasta and it was OK, not amazing though. So I would recommend trying some of the other pastas!

Had a fantastic meal with a friend here. I very much recommend the gnocchi, it was superb. And the service was lovely too.

Food was very nice, considering it was Valentines night it wasn't very romantic. The music was loud and not sure if it was the owner but he decided it was a good idea to bring out the guitar and sing along ( which really wasn't great). Probably won't go back

Just a real gem in Leatherhead, not your average Italian, freshly prepared, home style cooking, have visited twice on two weeks and will be back. It's very very well priced for midweek lunchtime.

Visited for lunch I ordered the special instead of the £5 lunch offer, it was delicious but the lunch offer looked good too. Unfortunately, the crab linguine may have been a little overcooked. but it was delicious. I'll come back later. Thank you for the meal. _------------- Visited again after lockdown eased. I'm sorry I couldn't go. Wow, it was delicious. I ordered crab and tomato linguini as my main dish. Perfectly boiled! The kids' penne bolognese was also delicious. I visited to support Eat out to Help out, and I've been there several times to eat gelato, but I thought it was a good store based on the atmosphere, the staff's response, and the atmosphere, but this time I was convinced. The main dish is the best way to boil the spaghetti and the way the shrimp are cooked. The staff's service was very pleasant and I would like to visit again. The gelato is also delicious, so it's a great restaurant for families with children or for a date. This is an Italian restaurant that I can recommend with confidence, so I gave it 4 stars. I will visit again!

The Service is horrible, went there and they mixed up the bill twice on top of that I asked for gluten free pasta or pizza at the beginning they said they do gluten free pizzas but then came back and said they don't so I said what is gluten free so I ordered a pasta Bolognese supposely gluten free. They came back with a lasagne and then after everyone was nearly finished eating they brought the pasta said that it was gluten free but it clearly was not you can tell difference between gluten free pasta's and non gluten pasta , I couldn't finish it because gluten gives me allergies and does not sit well. So if anyone has any allergies I do not recommend going here because you never know what the food may contain

Food and drink were good however they made a couple of errors with our order including me ending up with the wrong main dish. Would normally expect to be offered a reduction in the bill or a free desert / coffee for that but we still charged full price. Starters were very small for the price as well. For the price, expected a bit better service tbh!

We sat outside in the gazebo part which was lovely, heated , was like eating out whilst your on holiday. I was disappointed. I didn't book and I showed up at 5 pm with my wife for an early diner. It was empty"ish". We were given until 6.30pm, plenty of time. So far so good. We ordered the largest platter to share (del Cappo) and I followed with a pizza calzone. I ordered that because when we arrived the table next to us was being served pizzas that looked amazing including a calzone that was huge. Well... my calzone arrived and it was half that size and it had very little filling, except in the very middle. I was so annoyed. It didn't meet expectations in the least. I had ordered wine, etc. The platter was nothing special. It doesn't require any effort except slicing salami and ham and a few vegetables. My calzone was just disappointing. Only the canollo was good and crispy. Over £100 for 2 and just an "I am sorry" from the waitress and manager. Not going back

Very friendly service, food arrived quickly and presentation was lovely. Only slight disappointment was the tiramasu dessert. Was expecting more flavour from an Italian restaurant, couldn't taste any coffee and generally, the portions sizes were small considering the price but couldn't fault anything else and you are definately made to feel welcome even if just stopping by for a coffee or a glass of wine so yes, would recommend this lovely restaurant and welcoming, attentive staff.

On August 15, 2021, my friend and I We ate last. We had a house appetizer. Bruschetta with octopus and bean cream. Panciotti, sausage, aubergines and mushrooms Tagliolini speak with truffle and mushrooms. Grandmother's cake Sicilian cannolo Before the appetizer, bread, olives, oil and vinegar were served. Bread had good flavor but didn't rise well, it was very heavy, very good olives. Homemade starter. Mozzarella arrived haphazardly covered with aubergines, peppers, artichokes & cured meats. Mozzarella 0 quality Cured meats ok Flavorless grilled vegetables. Octopus arrived without bruschetta, plus it had a strong smell of old fish. (It was in the specials of the day) We have Requested to replace it with bruschetta. Bruschettas, bread cut so high that it was impossible to eat them in one bite, poorly leavened and therefore very heavy, very badly toasted, let's say Almost not toasted, tomatoes without flavor. Delicious pancetta, the cooking was perfect and the seasoning was also very good. Tagliolini... I think I saw 5 slices of porcini mushroom, a few pieces of bacon and two whole slices of speak... Truffle… The only truffle that was in that dish was truffle oil, in fact the tagliolini were soaked in oil. Honestly, almost 20 pounds for a first course, I would have expected at least some grated black truffle, especially in this seasonal period the price is very low. Sweets Grandma's cake, nice presentation, good flavor, it's a bought cake not made by them. Cannolo the ricotta in the cannoli is delicious. In addition to this we took a bottle of water and a can of lemonade. 45 pounds each. The point is that honestly this lunch was absolutely not worth the cost. Prices are high for what is served. I paid the same money in a 3 Rosette 3 course meal restaurant and believe me it was worth it all, even more. Waiter with glasses Very polite and courteous, I don't remember his name.

Lovely food, fresh and flavoursome but the service was a little slow. We sat outside and seemed to be forgotten about. It won't put me of returning soon as that minor problem is a small price to pay for the food quality. We will be back

Delicious food and a really nice atmosphere. Really good selection of food, I wish we could have tried everything!! The only thing I will say is that I found it a little pricey for the cuisine; mains started at around £20. Maybe Leatherhead is just an expensive area, but £100 for dinner for two people, when we only had one drink each, and no steak, was a bit of a surprise! Like I said though, the food was amazing, would definitely recommend, there was a nice ambiance too, with music and a lovely set-up.
