Lula in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We have been loyal customers at Lula for a while now. It was originally in Hayle but due to circumstances beyond their control they are currently operating out of The Rockpool down near Godrevy. We have driven down there to go for breakfast and lunch again and its just as good as ever. Their breakfasts are lovely - i just love their pancakes & bacon. My new favourite is their lobster & crayfish roll with fries. WOW!!! This is the closest i have come to the lobster roll i had in New England. The brioche bun is warm & lightly toasted and the filling is lovely crayfish, lobster & prawn in a light mayo with a dash of spring onion & a hint of parsley - the fries are the perfect finishing touch. Wash this down with one of the pale ales and you could be on the other side of the Atlantic! My compliments to Callum (chef) on his new summer menu! We love it! Plus they are super dog friendly & the staff are always amazing!

Lovely food served here, the staff are very friendly and professional. There is a good selection of drinks to choose from! Also ther are games for the children to play with. It is dog friendly as well. The view is amazing.

Ok so I always read reviews before I spend my well earned money, and face it, everything has gone up in price so you need to ensure what you are getting it worth the price. Me and my partner always go for different food so we can share the experience. I opted for the Taco Trio based of sauté mushrooms, chicken and fish, my partner had the shack burger. We also indulged in the dirty fries which included cheese and pulled pork. The meal plus drinks came to a total of £50. Now this is not the norm for us to spend so much on lunch but I have to say it was very enjoyable and delicious. Most of the mains are around the £15 mark which is around the same price for most meals we have paid for in Cornwall. Everything tasted lovely and we were overall very happy, I do however think the Taco trio was overpriced for what I got. A lovely chilled out setting which is dog friendly so will definitely visit again.

Met at lulas a great location on the beach, nice vibe, and good service with good menu. Good balance of seating inside and out.

We had planned to eat at Lula, following a day of walking. The location is great, and the decor has a laid back surf feel to it…so great potential. However, we ordered drinks on arrival and were really disappointed: a cocktail that tasted as though it was made with undiluted orange squash, and a very odd house rum served in a plastic tumbler with a tiny amount of ice. Staff seemed disinterested. So…we quit while we were ahead and had a delicious meal elsewhere.

Superb food , rustic , unpretentious decor. No need for fancy seats and tights- the food speaks for itself. The chicken wings starter was spicy but the stars are the seafood dishes. My starter of mackerel pate with pickled cucumber and crisp bread was wonderful. We shared a lovely seafood platter with fish gougons, crabcakes, prawns etc with 3 great dips and skin-on fries. What a treat- excellent value and the service was impeccable.

We’d just checked out of our holiday accommodation and needed breakfast before hitting the road. This place caught our eye and we fell in love immediately. Clean tables, fantastic views and happy, friendly staff. The bacon was the best we’ve ever had and a big shout out to the chef, Aidy, who knows his way around a pancake stack for sure! We’re foodies and this was one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had!

Had brunch here on a sunny but cold day. Sat outside - service was really quick & efficient. Food was delicious. Theresa brought all our food & drinks out & she was so friendly & chatty - a real asset to Lulas. Thank you Theresa!

Nice location but sadly let down by the badly run down outside area, terrible hot drinks ( hot chocolate was watery powder in a plastic lidless cup ) & poor service. Won't be back

A wasted opportunity. Lovely location and could be fabulous. We have stopped ordering food here as it feels like ripping up £10 notes for crap. Beer prices are probably on a par with a St Ives pub. Staff are always very young and in my opinion not very competent. Today the toilets were disgusting but I didn't complain as I know that there is little point. There are some great reviews here but also some terrible ones. Like I say, a wasted opportunity. This place could be wonderful. Sadly, dear reader, it isn't. But it feels as though that doesn't matter to the owners as I guess they are making a mint anyway. As a local I feel very disappointed.

We attended a wedding at Lula shack this weekend and it was brilliant, the food and service was absolutely fantastic. A great venue in a beautiful location. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again when back in the area.

We cannot thank Sam, Kate & all of the fabulous staff at Lula enough for making our wedding celebration just perfect! The food was delicious & Chef worked his socks off making the stunning paella outside on the fire pit. Lula is such a special place. We will never forget our day & couldn’t even keep away the next day, so popped in to enjoy lunch x Having our outside ceremony was so special followed by a fabulous reception inside. We can’t wait to come back asap x THANK YOU so much xxx

Lovely seafood platters with a beautiful view across the water. Busy and friendly atmosphere. Happy staff, especially Theresa with the beautiful fingernails (!).

Served by Freya and Alfie, both so smiley and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious 😋 always delightful coming here. Good to see Sam too, lovely and warm welcome as always. Kind regards & thanks Shirin & Martin

We were recommended this place by a friend. It has the feel of a business that once had something but is now run by kids who don't really want to be there. It's a shame as the location is great but the service and food is at best mediocre. I had the Portobello Mushroom Burger £14 (Poor) A limp and watery burger with some overcooked cold chips in a cup. My Mum & Partner had the Lobster Prawn & Crayfish Roll £15 but were told when ordering that it was without Lobster. The roll was Ok ish and the Chips were overcooked and cold. My Aunt had the Fish & Chips £14.50 The fish was Ok but again the chips overcooked and cold. Overall: A great location with the potential to be a something really good but currently needs some management/owner attention.
