Lucky Star in Gosport

Food was very unpleasant, ordered shredded chicken, however was chunky. Also was meant to be spicy, however very plain. Dishes that were meant to have sauce didn’t, and dishes that were not meant to have sauce did. Not a very pleasant meal this evening.

Fast delivery, excellent hot food, very tasty, our go to local Chinese, fantastic

Lovely food and quick delivery

Cod n chips is excellent. Curry sauce is not of the standard anyone would expect. It is kind of like curried mincemeat (the type you use in mince pies).

phoned to ask if sweet and sour balls could be lightly battered and was told no and would I like the Hong Kong style instead and I said yes and would pay the extra in cash. requested no extra salt in curry. the meal arrived and the meal was plain boiled chicken with tomatoes and peppers and bland sweet and sour sauce, glad I brought a portion of sweet and sour sauce separate. The beef curry had no taste. phoned to complain and was told that it was because no extra salt was added

Hardly and meat in the chow mein, just watery sauce and veg. Chicken balls had virtually nothing chicken left in them, just greasy and undercooked batter

Really loved the Salt & Pepper king prawn but wish you did a Sweet & Sour King Prawn Hong Kong Style with those same battered king prawns!

unfortunately had to reheat everything as they didn't pack prawn crackers I had paid for. So I waited for the lovely lady delivery driver to have to come back and re deliver them. Unfair on her. They just need to read the order carefully. Other then that, it was delicious.

Had from here before and was nice however this time it was just awful, BBQ ribs were days old and very chewy, sweet and sour pork balls had just been refried and refried again, they were very crispy and not nice at all, Beef with mushrooms smelt absolutely vile like it had been sat there a week so didn't eat that, all in all I paid over £30 for a reheated old Chinese meal, will not be ordering from here again!

Best curry we've ever had! Loads of meat and piping hot! Loved the duck rolls too. Great value for money! Ten out of ten!

Ordered a take away from here this evening, I must say, it was phenomenal! I’d recommend anytime and will definitely be ordering from here again when I’m in the area next. Lovely stuff! (I only put one star for atmosphere because it was a delivery)

Super tasty! Singapore noodles were nice and spicy, sweet and spicy chicken was lovely too.

Overall very good. Food quality is very good but one chicken in batter was inedible. Part from that everything was really good as usual.

we did not receive an item in our order phoned to inform them and was called back to say that was definitely put in the bag so they arent doing anything.Have photo of what was sent and definitely not duck.Will not be using them again

We always order from lucky star and have had many great meals from here unfortunately today this wasn’t the case it was the chicken balls were greasy, a lot the chips weren’t cooked properly and the chow mien was very oily. This isn’t the usual service so was very disappointed

Ok. This may sound a little harsh but we've used these guys before and have always beenreally happy. Today, they had an absolute shocker. Curry sauce was very watery, spring rollswere slightly undercooked and the katsu chicken was plain inedible. It felt like it was flash fried from frozen, suffering from freezer burn. It was rock hard and honestly I felt like I would have suffered if I'd forced it down. Please do better next time guys.

Never eaten here before.. Probably the best we’ve had in a long time. Food was hot and tasted really nice! I’m usually funny about where I get my salt and pepper chicken from but always give it a go and it didn’t disappoint. Noodles were nice and saucy to. We will be ordering again.

Ordered from here and halfway through eating a skewer I realised the chicken was red raw!!! Do not order from here, when I called to complain they offered to send out some new food but why would you want new food when the stuff you have is raw and already eaten half of it! Requested a refund and made a complaint just waiting to hear back but useless on phone

One of the dishes we received was wrong (very unusual for this restaurant) but this was very quickly remedied by the restaurant. Excellent customer service, cannot fault them, thank you!

Chips not good at all and pancake roll awful , hard inedible base

We ordered dinner from here containing 2 separate meals. The food arrived promptly with one of the meals being incorrect. We then issued for the correct item to be sent back out to which they did. However upon eating the chicken from this meal we realised it was RED RAW. Do not order from this restaurant unless you want to die from salmonella! Absolutely disgusting, they did not offer a refund just a replacement meal but we had no appetite after eating raw chicken.

Food was hot and tasty. The batter was thin and crisp. The meat was melt in the mouth. Would definitely order from here again.

Absolutely amazing. If I had to knitpick I'd say not so much sauce needed in stir fry veg. Would really like a no sauce option on that. Very yummy as always. That chicken satay sauce is to die for. 💖💖💖

Worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever ordered.

Unfortunately, not good this time, Chicken balls seemed all batter and no chicken, batter thick crunchy and not pleasant. Spring roll batter was hard and all seemed as if it was cooked twice. Egg fried rice bland and overcooked.

Part of my meal was missing. Phoned and said that part of meal had not been delivered. They said they would look into it. Heard nothing since.

Delivered before the estimated time, hot and good quality food.We have used Luck Star on many occasions and have not been disappointed yet, would definitely recommend them.

Super tasty fresh food, fast delivery.

Food was lovely as ever. I love the Gyoza chicken and vegetable dumplings. However, I ordered King prawns with onions and spring onions to go with it. But I received beef with onions and spring onions instead. I still ate it as I was hungry. And I couldn't be bothered to call the restaurant to rectify the order. Otherwise, it was fine

Not enjoyed chinese for a couple years and this was a first time order. AMAZING. Chow mein, chicken satay and sweet & sour hongkong style. All so delicious and delivered fast. Highly recommend!
