Lucky Star in Wyre Forest

First time ordering from this establishment. Although the food arrived slightly late, it was still hot. Both myself and my partner were very satisfied. The complementary prawn crackers were very appreciated. When I phoned to query the status of the order, the lady was very polite and helpful. So very good customer service as well as food.

Can't knock the food, never had a bad meal. However, if you are ordering for delivery, prepare for a long wait (with no updates). Ordered on uber eats at 7.30pm and told delivery expected between 8.00 and 8.20pm but didn't arrive. Couldn't get through on the phone for ages, finally got through to be told will be next delivery when driver gets back, this was at 9.20pm. Eventually turned up at 9.50pm.

Ordered at half 6 and because nothing turned up by half 7, I tried to phone but was taken to straight to a full answer machine. I kept trying to phone and eventually got through at 8:45. I asked about my order and explained that I ordered 2 hours ago. The lady didn't seem interested and didn't once apologise about my order being late. She also explained that my food was still being cooked in the kitchen and she didn't know when it would be available. I asked her to cancel. Will not waste my time ordering from here again.

Despite giving an order for delivery in 75 minutes time ,they managed to turn up 32 minutes late. Very poor service.

Awful. left over burnt rock hard chips, the chicken balls was as dry as my eye balls for keeping myself awake for 1 1/2 hours. There was about as much meat on the spare ribs as a sparrows leg. The curry sauce was jellyfied and curdled. Overall. Worst food ever.

Food arrived late and food was missing from order. Called to chase where the rest of it was and a very harassed lady said it’s been really busy the rest of our order is on its way, which made no sense as you wouldn’t send it out in 2 deliveries, it was only a meal for 2 people. The rest of the food never came. Very disappointing! It’s a shame because what did come was nice

I've had this twice now since staying/working here in Kidderminster. Food arrived piping hot on both occasions and big portions. The Salt n chilli Chicken wings are some of the best I've had and the Prawn toast was so thick and tasted amazing. No need to order from anywhere else whilst I'm here. Excellent take away.

Ordered, didn’t turn up. Called the restaurant, said it would be delivered in 10 mins, hour later, never turned up.

2.45 and still not arrived after saying it had been sent an hour after ordering. Don’t trust them, they just over promise and under deliver.

Best Chinese in kiddy Alwaysove the chicken balls and chicken curry.

My food didnt arrive on time. It said it would be there at half past 7. By the time is was 8 O’clock, still no sign of food. My kids were very hungry and so was my husband and myself. I am not very happy and wish a bit more respect next time. Xx

We ordered 2 king prawn dishes. Both were amazing very tasty and plenty prawns in both meals. We have recently moved into the area.This is our fourth meal from Lucky Star and could not fault any part of our meals. Would highly recommend.

Called last night to ask if they were still open. I was told yes and could still order online. I ordered online but the chef clearly couldn’t be bothered to cook what I ordered so I got a message saying the restaurant had rejected my order.

Disgusted. Waited 2 hours for food. Called up and told me the internet was down and to get a refund from bigfoodie. Big foodie got in touch with lucky star and they told them they have not delivery drivers so disregarded my order. 3 to 5 days for a refund. Place needs shutting down.

1st time ordering from this place and the food was brilliant. The munch/share boxes were perfect. Definitely recommend and found our new chinese takeaway.

Ordered at 6pm for an eta of 07:20pm, started having to raise called at 07:40pm after non-arrival. seems phone tends to be diverted to answerphone when busy, or shop wants to ignore calls due to delays.. Finally got through at 08:10pm to be advised that we had had our delivery. when requestioning the address, they asked the driver who advised he left it in our back garden by the rear door, NOT AT THE FRONT DOOR AS REQUESTED, DIDN'T KNOCK NOR USE THE BELL. checking camera it appears this was dropped off at 07:45pm, but by time of finding the package food temperature via digital thermometer was reading at 20.6. Raise complaint to restaurant to be met with heated abuse and clear instruction to just raise issues with Uber eats as they wont deal with complaints themselves. Uber eats then informed, along with photo evidence provided. Suffice to say I will not be ordering with these individuals again, and I sincerely hope others take notice.

The food came after two hours of orderingi was told it would be forty minutes , It was barely warm and inedible it as a he worse meal ever .

1st Saturday of the month, we've been having our treat, and the food and service from here has always been fantastic. Tasty and hot meals delivered when they promised. We'll keep using this place as it's the best around.

Can you rate less than 1 star?? 1hr 30 mins later they haven’t started to make our food. Told me they only have two drivers and what a clueless person on the other end of the phone. This is the 5th time it’s happened and we’ve tried to give them chance, but now 3 hours later we still don’t have the food. Uber don’t help when telling them about the issues. Just avoid the place and you won’t regret my advice. Oh PS, it cost nearly £100 for 4 people… talk about rise in prices!

Lucky Star's service is terrible. Ordered food, an hour later had to call and the food hadn't even started being cooked. The food quality was satisfactory, definitely not as good as it used to be. Although cooked quickly before being delivered after i called and complained, the food was luke-warm.

Ordered on Uber took 2 hrs to arrive. Food was poor, tasteless, worst Chinese I have ever Ordered.

Absolutely shocking service. Over an hour and a half wait for food with no apology. Extremely rude when questioned about the waiting time.

Possibly the worst Chinese food I've ever tasted, food was bland,cold and looked like it was cooked last week. Not to mention the delivery was late by 45 min. Won't use again.

Ordered food at 6pm by 10.45pm still no food, no answer from restaurant, no updates on the app, absolutely shocking !! Big foodie app also a waste of time been talking to someone on line for another hour and still haven't got a clue! Don't waste your time with this restaurant or the big foodie app ! Be quicker to walk to China to get your meal

If you don’t mind waiting two and a half hours for your food then this is the place for you. I tried to ring them 55 times to find out if my food was coming but never got through to them. Food eventually turned up but only after I had re-ordered from four seasons which arrived sooner, and was better. I have been told I will receive a refund but only after many emails.

We called upon lucky star after we waited 3 hours from another Chinese which never turned up! It was 23:10 and they offered to deliver to us too, which was great as we thought it would be too late. They arrived on time with hot food and it was delicious. The only bug bear was they don’t do crispy seaweed! But other than that; genuinely impressed. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work x

Me and my family ordered food last night and it came to £30.40. Before it had turned up I had a phone call saying they had forgot to take out the veg from the chicken chow mein. Which I specifically asked for as my son and brother have additional needs and hates the veg. Got told I could have £3 off as it was their mistake. When it was delivered it was the same price and there was veg on the chicken chow mein not only that but mine and my sons chilli salt and pepper chicken was not in there instead replaced with chilli salt and pepper chips. I called them back to get what I ordered was asked to pay another £4.50.so I had point had payed for the chips also. Once they had come back with the right order they tried taking the chips back? I had already payed for the chips that was their mistake and didn't want.I will never be ordering from this place again atrocious service and awful food!

Not Lucky Star but One Star. Felt sick after eating the food. Food was ready in 5 minutes which should have been a red flag. Drop in standards possibly due to another changeover of management.

Asked for a mild chicken n mushroom curry recieved a spicy as hell without mushroom curry. Asked for crispy chicken salt n pepper recieved soggy chewy none crispy chicken in soft doughy undercooked batter with a slither of chewy chicken inside on a sauce i didnt ask for as old ordered my own. Prawn crackers were just crackers without the prawn. Best thing was the cold prawn toast shame they dont send more slices. Rice and noodles were ok abit cold but edible unlike the rest of the rubbish that got threw in the bin. What a waste of £23 our own fault theres a reason collection takes 10 minutes never again.

Would give this a zero star but dont have the option to do that. Worst takeaway in my life. Everything is rubbish, dont even waste your money!!

It's time Kidderminster had a Chinese Take Away that takes pride in their food. Excellent presentation and faultless food. A good quality experience all round. Food arrived in solid and sturdy containers and was very hot. No grease, no gristle, generous portions ans above all very tasty. I understand that Lucky Star has new management - an asset to Kidderminster - well done.

Food poor and recieved cold wrong food sent they dont want to know and refuse refund needless to say wont be buy from there again.

I used to use this place allot however after a change of management the prices went up. Whilst working there, there were allot of orders being sent out wrong and many wouldn't get a refund. As much as I still like the food served there, it does taste good, unfortunately the prices just don't match the portion or quality.

Always have a nice meal from here, deliver too

Had a pizza box Chinese meal found long black hair around my chicken not happy at all! Won’t be eating from here again! Clearly hair nets not worn! Reception very rude on phone and in person, no respect for customers at all! Will not return!

Re heated chips and horrible fatty meat of some unknown description. Tonight was my last meal from lucky star.

Used to be regular customers to the lucky star. The last few months the standards have really slipped. Beef has been tough, missing items and a change to the menu on the house combination which was completely different. As regular customers the new menu should have been sent with one of our deliveries. We will not be placing another order.....too many issues.

Once again had a great meal, good portions having leftovers for breakfast, cold. Never had a bad meal from there.

We only use Lucky star twice a month and have always had exceptional grub.

This place has been around for years and has probably had a few different owners. What has not changed is the recipes!! Always the same you know what you are getting!!

Very good tasty Chinese and Cantonese food. We had a large order which we chose to be delivered. It arrived almost to the Minute they said it would and was still piping hot. The steak with green pepper and the duck in plum sauce were stand out dishes.

my parntner and i waked in at approx 8pm few people in ,phone ringing,ordered food i paid seperartly by card ,my lady paid cash ,chicken omlette sweet and sour chicken balls and fried rice and got charged full amount , when order came, omlette was missing , I enquired "where is my omlette " young girl behind counter dissapeared , then came back asking if my partner had put change in a certain pocket , My partner stated she had put her change in her pocket but had given a £20 and recived change with no notes, She was asked to pay extra for the omlette she had aready paid for. This is terrible custoner service, My partner was so embarressed she left after paying £4 extra for food she did not recieve . If you go here ask for a reciept everytime. Food was crap !

i went here on 21st December , i ordered a chicken omelette, sweet and sour chicken and fried rice and paid over £11 , when the order came the omelette was missing, when i pointed this out i was told it had been missed from original order and i had to pay additional £4 plus! i was disgusted , no one came to discuss this with me, Girl behind desk just kept saying she hadn't taken for omelette but i knew she had, i had no proof so had to take the food i had paid for, i will never go here again and would recommend anyone who does go here ask for a reciept .

Yet again freezing cold and congealed, complained that last time it arrived freezing cold and yet again it arrived cold.....nasty. Won't be returning.
