Ordered at 8pm, still waiting for it at 9.50!! We only live 10 min away! The driver has apparently broken down, sorry don't buy that!

Great food nice and hot and on time

Canceled my order because they said the traffic was bad because of Hull fair. I have been out down anlaby road and the traffic is just as normal as another day, very lame excuse from this takeaway, I shall never order from them In the future

Today's food not as good, sweaty cold chips. And the blackbean was taseless, fried rice mushy

I have had a few meals from the Lucky Star with no problems ,but I am very dissapointed with tonights order I cannot review a meal that never turned up I've had no explanation why and was unable to ring the restaurant to find out anything .

was missing portion of chips plus the chips I got only had about 15 in them and curry sauce has gotten smaller

The delivery was spot on but this has to probably be one of the worst Chinese food restaurants I've ordered from. I spent £30 on food we couldn't eat as it tasted awful It was very bland in flavour and everything was over cooked an sloppy. We won't be ordering from here again that's for sure...

Food was freezing by time I got it, asked for sauce in my noodles and didn’t get it they were so dry

Ordered two different curry's both tasted exactly same no flavour just spicy! To point couldn't eat it so if your just after spicy food no flavour perfect

Even though they where only officially 45 minutes late the total delivery time was 2 hours 15 minutes. shocking!

Was only waiting about 20 minutes. Expecting it to come within an hour. Delivery driver friendly and food was yummy

The chow mein was just to wet with the sauce and was almost mush the chips had just sweated in the container so not the best pineapple fritters wasn’t really a fritter more a pineapple slice with a very small amount of batter on it but again soggy wouldn’t use again

Noddles was not done correctly really squishy , didn’t taste nice and didn’t send the prawn crackers

Chow mein noodles were soggy and bland. Hardly any meat at all. Chips were cold. Poor quality food. 1hr 10 mins for delivery & we live 2 mins away, plus said wouldn't be long. Spent over £40 for 3 meals & not even any free prawn crackers. So tight and slow. Not going back. Used to be good once upon a time!

plenty of food, BUT the curry sauce was too hot to eat and the special curry was the same. So unfortunately it wasn't value for money as we couldn't eat any of it. Just don't expect chinese curry sauce to be that hot. Wherever we have been before its been a lovely Mild taste and lovely to eat. So we won't be using Lucky Star again. 😕 £20 odd wasted and put in the bin. Not a happy bunny.

30 minutes late and counting despite the ap stating the food was delivered!!! trying to ring the restaurant is useless as no one picks the phone up! hopefully will at some point receive the delivery I paid for however will never use this restaurant again and will strongly disencourage anyone I know to use it. Unacceptable!!! very unhappy

The food was absolutely foul. Sludgey texture chow mein, all the noodles there stuck together and beef looked inedible. Chips tasted like they’d been warmed in a microwave.

FOOD MAY CONTAIN PLASTIC!! I'm sad to say but unfortunately there was a huge piece of plastic in the chicken battered balls. Very scary as my son likes them and if he had it he would have chocked. This is a serious matter that needs to be addressed immadietly.

Order took 1hr 55min to arrive (Tuesday evening). Arriving 40min after notification that it was out for delivery and was cold. Most went in the bin as it was not very nice cold and was getting too late to eat.

Chips were stale and the restaurant completely ignored my note on the order. there's a reason I ask for the dish without ingredients so I don't have to spend 30 minutes picking things out of it. Next time il just a place that actually cares about its customers

Terrible food, the chips were microwaved the egg fu yung was microwaved and full of water at the bottom. The rice that was supposed to come with the meal didn’t turn up, so waited over an hour for the rice to come and by then the rest of the food was cold. Definitely won’t be ordering from here again

I literally don't know how they managed it, unless they read my mind, but my takeaway took 10 minutes from order placed to being at my door! I literally can't work out how they did that haha was hot and really nice too!

chicken balls unedable couldn't even bke into them, chips where stone cold like they'd been sat out for ages in the open air and onions rings very oily. was not worth the 15 quid

Order came early, not got a problem with that. However half of my order was missing and I spent ages trying to ring the restaurant to find out where it was, they never picked up the phone. I was charged for food that I did not receive and had no way of getting the meal that was missing. Appalling service

Their sweet & sour sauce is my favourite. It’s thick and just the right amount of sweet. Their curry is nice and spicy, but not too hot. Honestly the two areas that let this takeaway down are the spring rolls and the chips. Both are batch frozen and come out dry and absolutely tasteless, unless you like cardboard stay away from them and save your money. 3 out of 5 stars.

Honestly waste of 51 pound just to wait in a&e for two hours next day pink chicken and the chow main was fresh out of a pot noodle package soggy and ram never in all my life have I experienced bad food like it couldn’t eat any of it all went in the bin should of just drawn the money out and put it in the black bin out front better then spewing my guts down the toilet and pooing myself because I couldn’t make it to the toilet in time

The garlic pepper chips were amazing as always. The beef in black bean on this occasion was too salty and not enjoyable. This will not stop me using this place as every other time it has been spot on.
