We have wanted to come here for years and are so glad we finally did. Incredible food, we went for the signature menu as a treat for my partner's birthday. It went above and beyond our expectations. Shoutout to Lucifer for providing such fab service! We definitely need to return to try the GFC. Thank you!!

We went for a 3 course lunch menu. The shack sharers were very good. Edamame beans and spring roll. However the rice bowl and starter were no better than a take away. We both loved the service and the restaurant itself, but felt the food was very average

My family and I were blown away by this food it was amazing. The customer service was incredible we met a really nice man called Lucifer. Overall it is a 10/10

It was a great experience. Ayana is one of the workers there and a friend of mine, and she was a professional and kind, amazing server. I would totally recommend to go and visit because the atmosphere and food were great!

Absolutely fabulous evening spent @luckycat Manchester. The food was amazing, everything we had was a taste explosion! We were served by Lucifer & Ciaran, who were very attentive. They looked after our party of six so well we felt like royalty. The old Midland Bank building set the whole night off. You must visit the toilets downstairs in the vault!!! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

The food was delicious, with the mushroom gyoza standing out as a highlight. The staff were professional, and the lovely Ayana made the experience truly enjoyable. Her knowledge of the menu and warm attitude made our evening special.

Came here for my birthday treat. The Omakase experience. °The food, exceptional. Well prepared, playfully, and the taste and texture, divine. °The atmosphere was good, vibrant, fun, and nice decor. However, as it was not busy, it lacked warmth. °The Omakase chef, Ralph(?) was amazing. Fun, jokey, knowledgeable, and playful with his craft work. °The only negative, was, as a tall man, my legs brushed up against the bar, and when my knee lifted at one point, it felt something splodgy, when I looked, I found a piece of chewing gum stuck to my pants on the knee area... ... everything else was otherwise perfect. I simply took it off with a napkin and moved on. So we paid, and I mentioned it to the male worker in a suit (so assuming manager) who took the payment. It was just an off-hand comment that it was the only downside.. Well, he couldn't care less, dismissive, rude, and just walked away. There was a female worker next to him, she was very nice, she actually apologised that he didn't care and took our small complaint seriously by telling us they'd mention it to the staff so they'd clean under the bar table more thoroughly and she was shocked someone would put chewing gum there in first place. We really didn't care. It was an unfortunate minor incident, but the male manager's sour attitude made it worse. She, on the other hand, handled the minor issue complaint, like a pro. Kudos. Overall, I'd come back again. The staff (minus the manager) were wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable. One even told us of the history of the restaurant when it was a bank. The food is phenomenonal. The atmopshere, lovely. Prices are reasonable for a higher end restaurant with experiences.

Fabulous experience took my fiancé here for his birthday and was not disappointed. Other than the food, the highlight was our waitress Ayana who was spectacular, professional and informative. Everything she recommended was great and she is a huge asset to this restaurant!

this place is next level! Food 10/10 definitely recommend the eggrice and GFC but if youre going crazy with it or retired and feel like splurging go get the A5 wagyu its soooo good. The most amazing dining experience I've ever had. As expected the food was on another level as well as the signature cocktails. The whole restaurant was unbelievable, from what was a banking hall it has been transformed into a breathtaking space. The staff where amazing, attentive and welcoming. Special thanks to Molly and Luci. This will likely be our wedding anniversary tradition, a perfect way to spend the first one.

It was a fantastic experience, the food was spectacular. Sushi was fresh and hot foods was amazing. And our server, Kieran (hope I spelled it right), was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with both drinks and food. Can't recommend enough with this restaurant!

Lucky Cat is a restaurant that dreams are made of! You could not beat the food, drinks or experience. The staff were exceptional and took care of us in every single way. If we could, we both agreed that we would live there! It wasn’t just the cats that were lucky but us too, as Gordon and his team have made something that everyone needs to experience! If you value all the other aspects in a restaurant and not just the food, the restaurant is a 10. The place is beautiful, a special atmosphere is created with the way it is decorated and also with the music that surrounds you. The staff's attention is very good, they overflow with kindness. The food was very good but everything else was even better.

Incredible from start to finish! LOVED the duck boa buns and the GFC. I had a lovely cocktail called Ureshii which was delicous however my friend had the Okinawa Margarita which was insane! Can’t wait to go back and try. The whole team were brilliant but special thank you to Kul who looked after us so well. Planning my next visit already x

Eat there just before Christmas. Forgot to post review. Food was ok. Service was appallingly bad. In a large group told if one person in group had set menu had had to have set menu.

Last Friday, I brought my mum for her 60th birthday to Lucky Cat, but left somewhat disappointed. The food was exquisite and I can't fault the detail, and flavour of the food (I recommend the crispy beef rice bowl), but the service was rushed with everything coming out too quick. Granted it was quiet which lacked atmosphere so the staff may have felt bored and to occupy themselves felt then needed to keep coming and checking on us every 5 mins, but it was too much, we couldn't relax. We asked for a break between starters and mains, which was acknowledged but never communicated and again we got another course we were not ready for. One of the servers who explained the menu miss-informed is of 2x items - one that we were having a complimentary glass of prosecco and not champagne, when we paid for the latter, and secondly that one of the desserts was pastry filled with ice cream. My mum chose the dessert sold to us, but there was no pastry at all, it was completely unlike what we were told. I didn't expect a waiter for a Gordon Ramsey restaurant to not know the menu. The venue and the food were amazing, but the experience was not, however, I would like to mention one member of staff (Luci) who was extremely polite and friendly, and put a smile on mine and my mum's face for what was meant to be a celebratory occasion, but sadly as a whole we won't go back.

Came on a Saturday evening for my partner's birthday - had an amazing night. Highly recommend the duck bao, the tempura monkfish, the GFC chicken and the egg fried rice. Cocktails are pricey but really good. Service was fantastic. There is a £15 charge is you try to take the little golden cat chopsticks holders home!! Well worth a visit!

The menu is filled with incredible small plates. A modern take on Asian food that works, because they have put their focus in the right place. The food is so delicious and every plate is memorable and beautifully presented. The vibe is lively and stylish, making it a great place to for a special night out. The staff are friendly and know the menu inside out. The cocktails are creative and go perfectly with the food. If you’re looking for a special meal, this is the best restaurant in Manchester.

The restaurant building is very historical. The 19th-century building used to be a bank. The restroom downstairs has a good atmosphere. The Japanese food is decent. The rice is mixed with a delicious sauce. The food includes edamame, spring tempura rice, and desserts. Some are Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. The mixed flavor lunch 33 is quite nice to eat this way. The waiter is also cute and has the same name as my cat Lucky.

We celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary, and the food, service and atmosphere were as exquisite! Our server Luci was great service with a smile. Highly recommend both food and drinks

Truly disappointed. Wanted to treat my sister to a lovely graduation lunch but we were left very underwhelmed by the food. Staff was lovely and they really tried to make it an experience but something was definitely lacking. Drinks were tasty but wouldn't dine here again.

Ayana was an EXCEPTIONAL server, and the food was scrumptious. Every bit yum. The duck bao, egg fried rice, lamb and short rib all top notch.

I had high expectations of this restaurant based on reviews. Avoid - no atmosphere, the staff were constantly upselling to us the whole way through our meal. Food was very average. The server was lovely, but honestly that was the only positive thing about the dining experience. I asked for a vodka soda - £17… it is just a constant case of trying to add money to the bill so they can increase their tips. I know this may seem negative, but I think it’s important to highlight.

Great night at a promotional event. Food and settings were superb, drinks were delectable but the amazing, friendly staff stole the show. Especially AK who took time to explain the sake and its culture. Made my night!

Avoid! My girlfriend and I got really bad food poisoning. I had to send my main back as it was really bad and knew it tasted off. (You can see how oily it is on the photo) So many other places in Manchester city centre offering a much better atmosphere, plus no food poisoning. We complained, completed a food health and safety form and they offered us a bottle of champagne… even though we said we would never be going back.

Lovely atmosphere for a bussiness dinner or a date night, not exactly for a family dinner as our experience were :) This was of course expected due to the fine dining culture however my family still looks for that big plate shared food type of experience and I can't blame them. Great food and service, highly recommend ribeye and egg fried rice, duck baos were really tasty as well. I would also like to give special thanks to Ayana, so charming and kind. My parents especially really felt the hospitality as tourists in Manchester. Deffo worth a try if you're a foodie like me and have a bit to spare.

Went for lunch today at the Lucky Cat in Manchester. Served by Sean. Sean was very knowledgable about the menu and talked us through our options and what to expect when the food started to come out. The food was absolutely incredible I enjoyed every dish we ordered and left feeling very satisfied. Service was fantastic I felt they chose to come and see to us at the perfect time without being overbearing! Can’t wait to return and try some more amazing food!

So Gordon Ramsay operates a profitable sideline in TV programmes criticising restaurants and cafes worldwide for poor food, slow service etc. Well, he needs to look nearer to home. The Lucky Cat offers a lunch menu so we thought we’d give it a try as we’d been to Fenix the week before and The Ivy a few weeks prior to that and really enjoyed both. Nice inside and nice courteous staff. The lunch menu comprises sharing snacks that all patrons get, a small starter (we ordered tempura vegetables and a tofu salad and both were good), a choice of three mains and desert for just under £33. Unfortunately, after an hour we hadn’t received our mains. When I asked where they were I was assured they were on their way. Of course, they weren’t. In the end we walked out, offered to pay for what we’d had which, to their credit, they waived. The manager then offered a free meal another time which we refused. There are plenty of restaurants in central Manager which respect their customers - this isn’t one of them.

If I could describe my experience at Lucky Cat in one word, it would be impeccable. From the moment we walked in, I was captivated by the ambiance—stylish, warm, and inviting. But the real highlight was the service. Ayana was phenomenal. She took exceptional care of us, guiding us through the menu with expert recommendations. The food was a revelation. Every dish we ordered was a flavoursome . The Polynesian cooler was absolutely scrumptious, a true delight for the taste buds. We were so eager to dive into the food that we didn’t pause to take many pictures. If you’re ever at Lucky Cat and lucky enough to have Ayana serve you, get ready for a dining experience that’s nothing short of extraordinary. She made our night unforgettable. This was a 10/10 experience, and I can't recommend it highly enough! Definitely giving this a 5 star because of the service and experience provided to us. Thank you Ayana!

Such an amazing experience here. The service overall was amazing but Robi and Marius in particular blew me away. The atmosphere was just alive. From the minute you step through the door your jaw drops upon just seeing the venue. The food was by no surprise delicious. The standout dishes for me were the egg fried rice and Korean chicken. An expensive meal but definitely worth the price for great food and a good evening.

More staff than guests! Procedures such that you have to immediately order everything you are going to eat, from appetizers to even desserts, are really complete nonsense! Artificial kindness is the culmination of a £200 lunch for two. Absolutely overrated restaurant.

Staff here were excellent! Very attentive as one would expect from an owner who demands such high standards. However the food let it down. We opted the set lunch, I had the tofu salad which looked nice but was rather bland and the gem lettuce was underdressed and so tasteless. The Crispy Beef with rice was very good. We were going to have a dessert but to be honest the two courses we hd didn’t encourage us to try the 3rd. We were underwhelmed unfortunately.

We recently visited for a cocktail masterclass and wanted to give Tom a massive shoutout for making it a fabulous experience. He was absolutely lovely and we had the best time.
