Luce e Limoni in Camden

Though we live in the Midlands and London is 90 miles away, we always make a point of eating here when we are visiting the city. The food is wonderful and I have really enjoyed everything that I have tried-the burata and aubergine starter, for one example, is amazing. Not only that, but Fabrizio and his colleagues are consummate hosts and make everyone who dines there feel as if they are old friends. Great wines too. Could not recommend Luce e Limoni highly enough. It’s easy to find and you won’t regret stopping here.

Well overdue review as this is one of our favorite places in London. Background: we got a recommendation for Luce e Limoni when traveling Sicily. Seal of quality just there. Staff: Amazing! Fabrizio is super charming, ensures good wine pairings and makes every dinner a great experience. Food: Delicious. The menu changes regularly but we have not been disappointed yet. Meat, Pasta, Fish, Pizza are as good as starters and deserts. Ambiance: Often surprisingly quiet. Really depends on the day. But no matter how many guests, the team looks after everyone and it is always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Had lunch recently in a family party of four. The set lunch was excellent value and superb quality. There is a wide selection of wines with some wonderful Sicilian choices.

We ran through this place by accident as we normally don’t go to Italian restaurants abroad, being Italians. Fantastic food and great experience. Not to miss if you are in London and looking for a cozy place, authentic Italian food and home made pasta. Fabrizio was just a great host.

When in London we always make sure to include dining at Luce e Limoni where we are never disappointed. Our two nights of dining with Fabrizio on this trip were simply fabulous! We think that L&L is among the best Sicilian restaurants in the world (outside of Sicily). Note that we live 4000 miles from London, so it is an effort to eat here.

A friend and I popped in to this cute Italian, not far from our offices for a quick mid-week dinner. The place was relatively busy but we managed to secure a mid room table without reservation. You can leave your coats by reception if you prefer but I chose to keep mine on as I had a slight cold. They have a set menu and an a la cart. We had the Aubergine burrata starter, which was tasty. My friend ordered a pasta dish and I ordered the seabass. The seabass came with some tarragon sauce and as i do not eat tarragon i asked if i can have it without the sauce. They offered a lemon butter sauce as an alternative, which was divine with the fish. For dessert we opted for the lemon panna cotta, i assume that is their signature dessert given the team of the place. It was very rich and flavourful. We had a chat with the owner who told us about the story of acquiring all the lemon shaped chandeliers for the space which are a were a wow factor for me. They are spectacular and really make the space unique. The restaurant is a nice little place with friendly service. Its reasonably priced for central London. I recommend it for in town dinner whenever you are looking for authentic Italian. Keep in mind they do not have pizza on the menu.

La comida es muy buena - cocina siciliana adecuada, lleno de sabor y claramente hecho con mucho cuidado. Obviamente, los chefs saben lo que están haciendo, y se puede degustar en la comida que entregan. Todo lo que teníamos era fresco y muy bien preparado, desde los entrantes hasta el postre. No ha terminado – complicado o elegante por el bien de ello – simplemente comida auténtica realmente sabrosa hecha bien. El ambiente es agradable y relajado, y el personal es encantador, servicial, acogedor y feliz de hablarle a través del menú si no está seguro de qué ir por. Si buscas comida italiana realmente buena que llegue al lugar, este lugar es definitivamente una visita obligada. Es probablemente la mejor comida y servicio que he experimentado, no solo en Londres, sino en cualquier lugar. ¡Baja ahí abajo!

Fantastic, came across this place completely by chance and I was very impressed. We had the squid and the buratta for starters and the seafood pasta for main, along with the house white wine which we were both impressed with. All the pasta is homemade and you can tell the staff put real effort into the food. Will be returning for sure

The dinner we had there was beyond our expectations, in a very good way. Not only that the chicken breast was delicious and extremely well cooked( really impressive dish btw), the owner was very friendly, open and sociable with us. Really nice guy. I can really recommend this place !

Tried the stuffed squid, a vegetable salad, and the tiramisu at Luce e Limoni. The squid was decent but lacked seasoning, while the salad was fresh but unremarkable. The tiramisu, however, was the highlight—rich, creamy, and well-balanced.

Heavenly people, get down here for good grub. Plus the owner has great taste in music

My husband and I were looking forward to try this restaurant out, unfortunately we were disappointed on every level. The flavours just weren't there, it felt like all our dishes were not seasoned and we even ordered the dessert in hope that this would save our valentine's day dinner, unfortunately it didn't. The service was so slow and it was almost impossible to get the waiters' attention but then there were only two so I guess it makes sense. We wouldn't recommend it and will not return and we feel we should have eaten better for 120£.

Authentic Sicilian food. The best meal we had in London.

In a city like London where most food tastes like a wet book, this was a most welcomed treat. I was visiting from Chicago and just stumbled upon this gem. Everything was such high quality, from the wine, the bread, the dinner and of course….the cannoli. Ma’don. I cant wait for my next trip back so i can experience more.

I had dinner at this Italian restaurant in London and I was thrilled with the quality of the food and the warm atmosphere that welcomes you and puts you at ease as soon as you enter. We started with a burrata served on a bed of exquisite peperonata and a squid stuffed with ricotta. Afterwards we ate an exquisite long pasta with pork belly ragù (exceptional!!!!!!) and we finished with limoncello panna cotta and a special Sicilian cannoli!!!! I will definitely be back!!!!! Highly recommended!!!!!!

Abbiamo iniziato con una burrata servita su un letto di squisita peperonata ed un calamaro ripieno di ricotta. A seguire abbiamo mangiato una squisita pasta lunga con ragù di pork belly (eccezionale!!!!!!) ed abbiamo terminato con panna cotta al limoncello ed uno speciale cannolo siciliano!!!! Tornerò sicuramente!!!!! Consigliatissimo!!!!!!

An amazing,cozy & beautiful restaurant. An awesome welcoming the minute we stepped in from this fabulous & beautiful person, the owner Fabrizio, his welcoming was the beginning of a great experience that we all enjoyed. A very delicious food with a variety of dishes. Fabrizio the owner has a beautiful presence with these small nice chats .He pleased us with dishes outside the menu. It was my first time in this amazing restaurant but surely not the last.

The go-to family owned, feel-like-in-Italy kind of restaurant serving up Authentic recipes from Sicily THE classics, homemade pasta (and that focaccia.. yum!), up to more refined and modern cooking method. A very well thought all Sicilian wine selection plus the staple wines from around Italy are making it even more enjoyable. A TRUE GEM of its kind. Can’t wait to go back! And the owner is a real entertainer !

Fish pasta with mushrooms is something that is not normal, it has a distinctive taste, you do not taste it, there is no place and service, and the owner of the place is very welcoming and friendly, and the place is quiet, tidy and very clean. You should try it with hot sauce.

We extremely fortunately, came across this magnificent restaurant through on line reviews. Well they can sometimes be disappointing, absolutely not in this case. We were fifteen people, celebrating the graduation of my Nephew, a handful to be fair. The charming host, admitted that he had been severely let down by his staff, even his own daughter. Did this encumber, total excellence in service, no it absolutely didn’t. The food was completely sublime, every course, every dish was cooked to perfection. We were all amazed by the quality of the produce, it’s authenticity and taste. Wow really, what a place to visit. I can not recommend highly enough, and then our host turned into Pavarotti when singing happy birthday to a fellow guest. 5, for service, 5 for food, and 5 for ambience. If I was allowed I would have given an extra point for the singing. Can not recommend highly enough.

My family and I entered this restaurant tired, ready to relax, and hopefully enjoy a good meal. Luce e Limoni did not disappoint. The owner was very attentive and helpful, and the atmosphere was beautiful and tastefully decorated. The dish I ordered (pesto gnocchi) was fresh, homemade, and delicious. This was definitely one of the best meals we have had in London. I could not have pictured a better experience.

Apologies for the negative review; we wanted to like this restaurant. A soup was defined by the taste of a stock too reliant on stale vegetables. Some of the meat dishes had potential but were overcooked. Perhaps we just ordered the wrong dishes?

Highly recommend this family owned business for authentic Italian food! We came here on our one year anniversary from getting engaged in Sicily and it was the perfect place.

My Italian friend took us to this lovely restaurant. The owner was very warm and friendly and made sure we were all looked after. The bread was so delicious. I had the Linguine with artichokes peas and tomatoes as my main. The linguine was so delicious as it was home made and I thoroughly enjoyed the simple ingredients. We sbared desserts and they were all fantastic. Would definitely recommend this Italian restaurant it has a great atmosphere,service and the food was delicious.

We were greeted by a nice Sicilian man who made us feel at home and produced home made dishes which tasted really great. My crab pasta was super tasty, the pasta was home made. We will certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a quality Italian meal!

Fabulous meal, owner oversees every aspect of this wonderful little restaurant. On holiday for three weeks and staying less than a 10 minute walk. Experiencing as many local restaurants as possible and this was by far the best food. Black linguine with scallops was amazing. Trust the owner on anything he recommends. Wish I could give it more than five stars.

We recently visited London for a few weeks, and found this restaurant very close by to where we were staying. We're from Canada, and though we've visited Italy before and absolutely adored the food, we've never been to southern Italy. It was exciting to try Sicilian! The restaurant ended up being so lovely that we went twice, once for an early dinner and once for a late lunch. It was off-peak both times, and while there were other patrons in the restaurant, it was not full and we enjoyed the space, especially with two kids. There is also a large TV at the back of the restaurant, which was cool as the first time we visited, there was a big Euro match on. The restaurant has an inviting, comfortable vibe, and is beautifully appointed. The host/owner is very kind, charming, and welcoming! The choice of background music was interesting (there was a lot of Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams kind of stuff?! not that we expected Italian opera but it was amusing and not particularly loud, in any case...and as my husband quipped, "Bon Jovi's Italian!"). One small quibble I do have is that while the special set menu (which was slightly different both times we came) is printed on paper, the regular menu is online. While the website is laid out well, I really do prefer to see a hard copy menu. The portion sizes were all very pleasing, and everything we ordered tasted so good, with fine flavor, and all things perfectly cooked. The items we ordered over two meals were (some were on the regular menu, others were from the special set menu): salmon and mint fishcake, grilled stuffed squid, parma ham with melon, and smoked salmon platter with "spaghetti courgette" (starters; my daughter and I absolutely loved the smoked salmon and courgette! what a wonderful combo, and the squid was also delightful); stuffed duck leg with speck and port, rigatoni with fried aubergines, tagliatelle with venison ragu and truffle oil, bucatini with spiced pork belly ragu, veal and mozzarella tortelloni, pan fried salmon fillet with almond and saffron sauce, and black linguine with scallops and asparagus (mains; I especially loved the venison ragu and tagliatelle; my husband enjoyed the duck so much that he ordered it both times; our son couldn't get enough of the bucatini, which I also tasted and to me it had a strong fennel or anise flavor); lemon and thyme Sicilian cheese cake, home made tiramisu, amaretti and caramel semifreddo, and cardamom pannacotta with berry compote (desserts; the pannacotta and semifreddo were hits; I also tried the cheese cake, not realizing it was not a "cheesecake" but more of a denser cakey-cake...the host asked me if I wanted coffee or tea with dessert, and he sort of did it in such a way that even though I didn't think I should have coffee in the afternoon, I ordered one, and you know, the cake really needed it! they were very nice together, indeed). We loved our meals at Luce e Limoni, and will certainly return the next time we visit London!

Accommodated a party of seven. Host exceptionally nice and great with recommendations. The veal and mozzarella tortellini was delicious. Others in my group had the black linguine, roasted lamb, and the beef fillet and liked them all. Highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back.

Three of us ordered a variety of fixed price menu and a la carte including breads, soup, salmon, sea bass, beef ragu and pesto gnocchi, rounded off with espresso and peppermint tea. Service was a little slow if you're in a hurry but for us we were pleased to have the time to relax and talk between courses. We didn't have the capacity for the tiramisu but it looked superb.

They were happy to take our party of 9 on a Monday night for dinner. Most of us ordered from the set menu, which had good choices for pasta or lamb/fish entree. Service and food were good even though the restaurant was busy. Desserts were yummy, as well. Glad we were able to dine here.
