A café with a livery atmosphere. A nice place to collect oneself and chill for a bit. Coffee was very nice (cortado), and I had a carrot cake which was tasty but a bit too sweet for me. Daily soup is also available if one is in a search for a quick lunch. + The staff was lovely!

Service was ok, the mismatched furniture wasn't very comfortable to sit on, and I was really disappointed with the lack of flavour in the cake... £17.99 for two lattes and two slices of cake felt expensive when the cake wasn't enjoyable.

Great wee coffee shop to spend an hour or so. We were in here waiting for a graduation ceremony in the Usher Hall to finish. Lovely coffee, tea and cakes. Pretty cool soundtrack too

I liked: the location, the staff is very friendly, the speed of service, good space, tea with a thermos of boiling water is a great idea, cinnamon rolls are the best! What I didn't like: a piece of cake for 6 pounds was dry and with terrible butter cream (chocolate or not doesn't matter), coffee in small mugs and not very tasty

Such a lovely little cafe with a chilled atmosphere! The perfect place to relax and read a book. The coffee and tea was lovely! The cakes looked unbelievable! I wish they were gluten-free. Staff were friendly too.

I had a lovely coffee to drink in and then took a piece of the vegan chocolate and passion fruit cake to take away and wow it was delicious !! Best cake I've eaten in a long while and love the creativity with the flavours 😍

Such a serendipitous find! All the staff are super lovely and helpful, and super nice about any drink modification requests. The matcha latte was an especially nice surprise, definitely the richest matcha I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere is super cozy and lively as well, plus a great taste in music.

Coffee and cakes are nice. Life would be more bearable if employees gave priority to service instead of fussing among themselves.

We arrived a good half hour before closing but we were able to sit down in this friendly café with pleasant service. Some vegan choices including the very good cinnamon bun. The salt brownie was also a success. The oat milk cappuccino was good as well as the apple juice (green apple taste I thought). The toilets in the basement are secluded and comfortable.

This place is very cute and cake and coffees are super delicious.

We ordered 2 slices of banana cake(vegan), it wasn’t tasty at all. It took a long time to arrive and the people serving were neutral(not friendly). The cappuccino was good tho.

I recently visited this café and decided to try their sourdough. While I didn't particularly enjoy the taste, the overall experience was still worth the visit. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Their warm service and the pleasant ambiance more than made up for my taste preference. I'll definitely be back to try other items on their menu.

Cosy, quirky and friendly cafe. The cakes were tasty but the coffee was way too watery, at least for our taste. Add more grain.

I have seen better bakery options in the super market. We walked in saw the sad options and left. Not sure how they are still in business

A haven among the busy, delicious coffee and cakes thank you for being a warm hug of a cafe in a busy part of town. As a local love crumbs has been my go to for a long time.

Love this spot, it was lively and the staff were super friendly. The highlight for me was the chai latte, it was the best I had in my entire trip in Edinburgh. The cheese toastie was nice too!

Yummy cakes, tasty coffee, friendly service. Ordered: chocolate chai cake, cinnamon roll, grilled cheese sandwich, cortado and flat white coffees. Everything was good the only down side for me was that the frosting on the cake was a little too sugary for my taste.

The coffee is The desserts at Love Crumbs are a delight, plus the staff is very kind.

Coffee always great here… love to sit in the window seat with a latte and a book or my laptop, surrounded by plants and fairy lights and Edinburgh rain. The coffee is reliably tasty, so worth the slightly expensive price - and the staff are always so friendly 💝

I went on the morning of the Easter holiday. The large scones with jam and butter were delicious. When I ordered tea, I was glad that it came with a bottle of hot water and milk. It was a wonderful cafe that I would like to go to again ☕

they don’t share wifi password anymore which is a shame bc it used to be my favourite cafe to study at bc of the drinks and atmosphere :/ quite expensive for a not so great latte as well

I’m a coffee enthusiast, eager to try a Cortado. I ordered one for myself and a cappuccino for my bf. This place caters to those who enjoy robust coffee; both our selections were pleasantly strong. While I typically prefer milder brews, I found them enjoyable. Additionally, their raspberry white chocolate pastry was the highlight. It was perfectly balanced sweetness, not overwhelming but certainly not lacking. I really loved the pastry and the ambience which was the best.

The best vibes sort of cafe going. A lovey place for coffee and a cake, friendly staff, and such a cute location! Have been multiple times and cakes are always incredible. Loads of vegan options too! (Also a lovely tea selection)

We came to this place for breakfast, attracted by excellent reviews and the advice of a friend. We order: two oat cappuccinos, a grill cheese sandwich and a slice of cake. We spend €25, and we are already very perplexed. We sit down and we receive two small, shallow cups without a saucer (where do I place the spoon????). Having paid €5 per cappuccino, I expected something perfect. Instead it was quite poor. The cake was good, but unfortunately it was taken and served with hands (note: the waiter who served it immediately afterwards was scaccolando). Very good grilled cheese. Useless and quite slow service (even though there were literally 3 of us)

loved the vibe in here. Great background music, loads of jungly plants, rustic wood and painted surfaces, big slabs of brownie and thickly iced cakes. Was very busy but not overcrowded, which is always a good sign. The service was really warm, and the coffee was exquisite - smooth, rich, creamy, the perfect temperature and with the added plus of beautifully unusual latte art. Will definitely be studying here again 😎

What a hidden treasure! It's the best little cafe in Edinburgh by far. Well worth tracking down and enjoying a warm welcome and a fresh, tasty treat. We had the butternut squash and sunblessed tomato soup (yummy) and a toasted cheese sandwich. We also had a slice of the best, most delicious cake. And the staff were all excellent t - really helpful and friendly. I will definitely be going back soon.

Extremely cosy cafe with amazing atmosphere. If you ask for a tea, you get a termo with extra hot water! And really nice staff. Wish it would be open after work.

I had an unfortunate recent experience here where I was treated with a hugely unwelcoming nature by one of the staff members. A shame because it is a nice space, but I am definitely deterred from wanting to go back. Will look for a coffee shop that treats their customers with a bit more kindness.

Came in today for the first time with my partner and had such a lovely experience. They didn't have vanilla syrup at the time so they recommended me a caramel mocha and it was so so good, as were the brownies we had. It was very busy and the staff were still very fast and friendly. Wish I was staying in Edinburgh longer so I could come more often :)

I love you guys but bring back the jamarettis! They were my go-to sweet treat for days when I was kidding myself they were helping keep my protein levels up while treating myself... Plus they were delicious and my whole family agree! The coconut macaroons are nowhere near as good! Also make sure you put enough tea in the teabags.... Had a couple weak teas recently

The treats are nice, but the toilet is in a bad condition and they burnt my milk. Maybe just good for take away. Also they were rude to a friend of mine. Big shame as the atmosphere is nice.

Ordered a build your own cake and was very disappointed. I ordered fully iced, and got a naked cake. Because of this, more than half of the filling was icing. I paid for an extra filling and it was extremely little. The sponge was dry. Disaster cake. Also, when picking up the cake from Lovecrumbs the staff was quite unfriendly. I've been a customer for years and that is why I'm leaving a 3 star review. Unfortunately, due to this experience I probably won't be buying again.

I was working around the corner from this place so popped in a couple of times for coffee and couldn't resist the treats. The cookies with rye and dark chocolate are lovely, and this morning I had the most delicious squishy cinnamon bun. It's a nice place to sit, but takeaway is quick too.

Extremely friendly service with amazing cappuccino. Have traveled to three different countries on our trip so far and by far the best cappuccino I have drank. Wife states iced latte is also the best. Pastries and cakes fresh and scrumptious! Will be coming here rest of our trip!

Disappointing. Had to wait an awkward few mins at the counter while staff busied themselves with no acknowledgement. Never got to taste the food as they don't cater for gf - the reason given was contamination - bizarre excuse nowadays. Most places provide gf options- if you can't cope with contamination then why not buy in prepacked treats? Plenty much smaller places manage. It's embarrassing when there isn't even a gf plant milk on offer - our whole party had to walk out Thankfully we found L'Etoile just down the road which managed a FANTASTIC selection of gf and non gf delicacies!

The vegan cinnamon bun was outrageously good!! It was huge, perfectly moist and sweet and cinnamony and i’d go back to Edinburgh just for it!

Stumbled in to here to give our feet and after seeing the cute window. We were luckily seated at one of the last tables and it was a busy Saturday afternoon. Staff were excellent and the decor was pretty. Oh yes, and the raspberry rose cake was delicious, aswell as the almond biscuit; such a nice chewy texture. Was impressed the waitress knew the soy free options without checking!

Excellent coffee and pastry shop. The most delicious vegan cinnamon bun I've ever had. Laptops during the week are okay and they have cute little gifts and jams and stuff for sale in the corner.

Went here today around 2.30pm. Got served by a lady who saw me wait for 10 mins but didn’t even acknowledge my presence. There wasn’t a queue or anything. Even when she served me , the service was cold and dreadful. She cut me the smallest slice of cake despite charging me nearly £5 for a slice. Coffee and taste of the cake was good! I use to love this place but the service , price increases whilst reductions in portions of cakes is a big turn off !

Really disappointed with my latest visit. I bought 2 slices of cake for take away and the sponge on both of the slices were not fresh. The sponges were both hard and dry. For a cafe that specialises in selling cake I would expect so much more, and I’m sure it used to be better. Both slices had to go in the bin.

I visited Love Crumbs at least 3 times while I was in Edinburgh. It is such a cute cafe and the staff are great, the cakes are also delicious!

The cafe had a great atmosphere, it had a great selection of tasty snacks and sweet treats, as well as hot and cold drinks made with coffee from local coffee roasters. The staff were super friendly as well - highly recommend for a small breakfast, coffee, or afternoon snack!

Decent cookie/cake and ok coffee, but really nothing special. Would have been ok but the service was slow and staff sadly a bit rude. It's ok but compared to some of the amazing options around the city it feels well behind the times.

We popped in here for a coffee and a cookie for my son. The coffee was very good and the cakes and cookies looked very good (my son scoffed his, so I take that as a good sign!)

Just happened to come across 'Lovecrumbs' en route to the Grassmarket. It'll be a regular from now on. The range of savoury and sweet foods are lovely. Some things a little different. I love the fact that with the tea, they serve it in a cup, with the tea bag, but also with a flask of hot water so you can continue to have hot tea as opposed to it going tepid as it would normally do. Brilliant idea. Staff also really friendly.

Excellent cinnamon buns, friendly service and quality coffee. The atmosphere is also wonderful, may be due to the fact that they dont allow laptops on weekends, which is a great idea. Definitely would recommend to a friend!
