Following a review we booked a table here. Weren't sure if we had the right place from the outside - a little hard to find - but what a gem! Fazila and Ali are such a lovely couple - and we were also delightfully entertained by their daughters Anjali - who we helped do her homework (riddles!) - and Mythili. Their food is so lovely and made with a passion - you can tell! Highly recommended

My second visit and this time with work friends. This is the first time I’ve been motivated to write a second review of a restaurant. This is just the most amazing place. Thoroughly unpretentious, located down a narrow alley in the town centre. But don’t be fooled by appearances. The food this little gem serves up is second to none. My two colleagues were raving about it and I was delighted to have suggested we come here. We ordered a range of the curries, a biryani and a dosa. All of the food tasted exquisite. Fresh, flavoursome and with perfect levels of spice. Now I’m partial to the typical UK curry house, but this is something quite different. The cuisine is authentic Keralan and I haven’t had such a nice dosa since I was working in Chennai This has to be one of the best, if not the best, place to eat in Inverness. Do yourself a favour and drop in.

What a gem! The Ulli vada (onion fritter) was divine. So fresh, and the chick pea flour batter was perfectly seasoned and melt in the mouth. I had an outstanding aubergine and coconut curry, one of the best curries I have ever eaten! Served with the flakiest of parata. All washed down with a tasty mango lassi. I wish I had enough room to try the dosa, for which they are famous - an excuse to return. Wonderful hosting by the family, it felt like we were eating with old friends. A treasure for Inverness, and very reasonable prices.

Had a masala dosa here the other evening. It wasn’t crispy and was on the pale side not fried enough. The fillings and sauces were good. Mango lassi a bit small for the price but was good. Family are friendly.

This is not fine dining in a lovely setting. It is a restaurant up a lane seeing honest well cooked food. I loved it for what it was. The service matched the food: friendly, inviting and attentive.

Not much to please the eye when you walk in, but the food is tremendous! Super friendly staff who advise and guide you through the menu too. Loved it.

Absolutely fantastic - our new favourite in Inverness. Great genuine service and the food was outstanding and most importantly piping hot. All other Indian restaurants really struggle with the lamb quality but my biryani was superb with the most tender of meat. Wine was excellent too which is not always the case in Indian restaurants. Can't wait to return ❤️❤️

Delicious Delicate Delectable Dosas! Mrs C and I had escaped to Inverness for a couple of days. We fancied an authentic Indian meal and after a bit of TripAdvisoring came across this gem. Found down a small back street in central Inverness Love Dosa is like being in a living room. Simple tables and chairs, super friendly staff who are like family, and splendid food. If there’s two in your party I would recommend ordering a dosa, curry, rice and paratha. Just double up as necessary if there’s more of you. We also had popadom for starters which was lovely. The thing that sets this place apart is the freshness and authenticity. Everything, including the chutneys and other accompaniments are delicious. It was very much reminiscent of what I’d enjoyed in Chennai. As well as enjoying the meal we surreptitiously debated the relationship status of the pair at an adjacent table. Conclusion was that they were travelling together but not (yet) a couple. Given the level of flirting from her side (“Do I look good in green”) this could change.

Such a great restaurant! Family run, friendly, authentic, and delicious! My older teen son and I had a ghee roast dosa, chicken mappas, pilau rice, and a porotta and had plenty for the two of us. I also enjoyed a fab mango lassi. The food was so so good and we will definitely be back soon for more. I highly recommend you give this place a try!

A very welcome surprise of delicious dosa, chutneys, and eggplant curry. We did not get a chance to do food pictures as we were all hungry. We did take pics of the aftermath. Absolutely lovely. The dosa was crisp and light. The masala was well done and piping hot. The chutneys were delightful and nicely spiced. A couple of beers and some rice made for a lovely meal. I concur with the previous poster: we left full but not bloated. Take a chance and head down the close, enter the orange door to a non nonsense 70's decor and eat. Really.

Gestito a livello famigliare, cucina aperta a vista senza problemi. Servizio davvero premuroso. Ottimo cibo.
