Excellent food, speedy service with a smile. Pizza and Mushroom stroganoff both a big hit.

Was ok when we first visited this place earlier on in the year as per my previous review, but unfortunately the food is going down hill a little, steak pie this time is still getting more dryer, chips not as crunchy as normal, such a shame tbh.

Party of 2. Full English Breakfast. Yesterday morning (Saturday) at 10.30am. We were the first in so no problem getting a window table! I am writing the review because I wanted to commend the young man who served us. We didn't get his name but he was so efficient, helpful and very polite. Rare thing these days. Also the breakfast was delicious!

First time I have been here,wasn't impressed with the food it was tasteless!!

We came for food on Saturday lunch, I personally don’t rate the food here, last time we came it was bland, and for me one of my worst meals of 2023. Though maybe I’m not their target audience because my grandparents like it. Today the food wasn’t bad, though we were upset by a waitress coming over to ask whether my severely autistic sister could turn down her kindle. It wasn’t very loud at all and we didn’t have many tables near us so I wouldn’t have thought a table would have complained. Anyway, it was the nature in which the waitress asked, she was very blunt in her approach. This upset my family because it felt like a bit of an attack, and we felt discriminated against for bringing my severely disabled sister out for a meal, which we don’t often get to do. I think a more empathetic approach would have been appreciated, just something like ‘I’m sorry but is there any chance you could please turn the kindle down?’ would have landed a lot better. I’d probably say until there’s some sort of sensitivity training, if you have any SEN family members or less visible disabilities, I would avoid coming here. Note, this wasn’t all the staff members only one but it was still enough to really upset and embarrass my family.

Yesterday was my first time ever at the Lounge and definitely not my last at this fine and luxurious establishment.The decor, the staff members, the people, the atmosphere, the food.Everything was perfect and the staff members were polite and friendly towards me.

Really good night in the Lounge. A few drinks and two main courses for less than £50. Great service from the staff. Thank you.

Took my partly disabled friend for lunch and was struck by the help & kindness so readily shown by all of the serving staff - a factor so well repeated at the linked NuBar on Kingston Rd Willerby. The management`s policy in staff hiring and training is to be very much applauded, as well as the ambience, quality & menu pricing - which are exemplary in both restaurants. I can therefore heartily recommend both of these venues to anyone.

Met some friends for a meal in here been a few times. It's pleasent enough food always good. Not sure about atmosphere if I'm honest.

It didn't have the food we wanted so we left immediately. We wanted a Mix grill but they didn't do it. So we asked for homemade meat pie which they didn't have.

A really lovely, easy place for food with no fuss and a lovely atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and the food is very high quality. The prices are very reasonable too. My only gripe as that it’s pay on order so it’s not clear how to leave a tip. Maybe the card reader could have a gratuity screen at payment or something, or maybe a clear tips jar on the till :) Overall, very good food in a lovely environment. Would recommend

Service is always great here. Cocktail was perfect. Food generally good, didn't think much of falafel burger but that might just be my taste.

Service was absolutely fine, people were friendly. The food was quick and there was plenty of it. However the food wasn't fantastic-maybe other dishes are better but I wouldn't order tapas from here again. The bruschetta was especially weird and a little gross (looked like a paste)

Not really too keen on the Lounge, no real atmosphere, but the food and service was excellent.

Disappointed to have to write this but ordered tapas and food was ready in 10mins, most of it tasted reheated while the prawns tasted raw 🤢

Attended lounge for lunch. Had the cheese burger was loverly (9.0/10) Staff were friendly and attentive. Price of the food is reasonable and a very comfortable environment. Loverly food as always. Will deffo attend again (Plus 1 side reviews)

Today we had a family lunchtime meal at Lounge for 9 people to celebrate a big birthday. We pre ordered food so service was good with all meals arriving at the same time. Everyone loved their meals and the staff were really helpful and friendly. They also brought out our birthday cake and made sure we all had a nice time. 👍

Great pub/restaurant with friendly staff. Spoilt my visit though charging £3.50 for a cup of coffee. Feels a bit extortionate tbh.

We had a great meal celebrating my daughters and Grandsons birthday on the 1st December the food was very good and staff were excellent made us so welcome as it was our first visit we loved it

Good service, good selection of food and prices

Booked a table for 17.00 on a Sunday. The restaurant was quiet and well staffed. Service was friendly and a good variety of food on the menu. The kids loved their burgers and the fajita was good too! Shame it was so empty (was when we left too) as a few more diners would have done loads for the atmosphere.

The place looks lovely but it is very cold and the service was shocking, no please or thank you from the unfriendly bar staff also she gave us no time to peruse the wine menu before demanding an order. We were planning to dine but with all the noise coming from the kitchen and poor service we decided against it. We definitely will not be returning.

Visited Saturday 6th August, 11 of us for a 50th birthday celebration. Staff very friendly and polite. All meals came out together and we're all piping hot. Delicious as it has always been when we visited previously. Thankyou

My wife and I attended the Lounge on the evening of Thursday 19th of May (Table 4) along with two of our friends, and from the moment we walked in the staff on duty were amazing, attentive and thoroughly engaging the only thing that could make our visit even more perfect would be the quality of the meal. We weren’t disappointed, the Beef brisket burger, Halloumi sizzlers and Spicy chicken fajitas were all excellently presented and delicious, again well done to all of the staff that were on duty that night

Good quality food - lots of choices. No microwave meals. Plenty of choice of alcoholic drinks incl. draugh ale's. Clean, pleasant surroundings - inside/outside. Great atmosphere. Adequate parking places. I've never been disappointed at the Lounge.

Staff lovely food was rubbish will not go again.

Nice sort of place, but a bit old-fashioned. It seems to attract people who wear skinny jeans, but who REALLY shouldn't wear skinny jeans. There is a vegan pizza on offer, but that's all you'll get for vegans. Stuck in 2009.

Used to be great, but lately the bar staff have looked overworked and serve with contempt, the food has been poor, undercooked and lacking in taste and the wait staff have been completely disinterested. The management need to implement changes immediately to bring this place back up to its previous quality standard.

First time we have been to this venue. Nice spacious lounge. I had beef stroganoff, husband had fish and chips the others had the steak pie and the kebabs. Big portions and everyone enjoyed the food. Staff friendly and efficient. What's not too like, well done.

Been before with my family and it was the same as it was then. Good set up of the bar and resteraunt, family friendly, good choice of food on the menu. I had a mild curry with all the trimmings.Absolutly fantastic. Very attentive staff with good banter with customers. Deserves it 5 star rating

Absolutely fantastic evening, for my husband's 60th birthday. Meal was excellent all 19 meals came out at the same time, Steak's cooked to perfection, no mistakes and plenty of it. But most of all the staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Again thank you all so much xx

Love it here! Came on a whim and we've been three times in as many weeks since our first visit. The atmosphere is great, with lovely interiors, and friendly staff. The food is amazing and the cocktails are really good.

My first visit and quite impressed, good venue for having lunch with friends.

Use Lounge Southella a lot to take my 94 year old Mum for lunch. We always get well looked after by Danny and the team. Can't fault the place!

A great find. A relaxing place to enjoy lunch. Nice menu with a good choice of food. It was good to eat in a place that had no one shouting across a table.. Good choice of beers etc. Parking available which was a bonus. Would like to return when next in the area.

Food and coffee were pretty good but service was a bit slow and haphazard on the day of our visit. Seating and ambience was good.and the place was clean.

Overpriced pub grub. No atmosphere. Bad service.

After attending the restaurant on Sunday and ordering the beef stroganoff, I woke up Monday morning feeling terribly ill. All throughout the day I was in and out of bed with terrible sickness and a bad stomach which carried on through the whole of Monday night until Tuesday afternoon when I started to feel better. My partner ordered pizza and was absolutely fine so the beef must’ve been off. We decided to message the restaurant regarding our bad experience and to try warn them to prevent anyone else becoming ill. Considering how ill I’d been due to the food that they served us, the message we sent was pretty reasonable as you can see in the screenshot attached. However for the restaurant to have seen and read the message and then proceed to just ignore us by not replying or even saying ‘we’re sorry for your bad experience’ just shows how arrogant the service really is. I’ve read previous reviews that say similar things like food poisoning and the staff being unfriendly. You don’t mind spending your hard earned money on good food and a good service but to not be acknowledged just shows that they don’t have any idea about customer satisfaction or that the restaurant even care about they’re customers at all. After trying to take your family out for a nice meal, and it causing someone to become ill and then having the arrogance to ignore you, we definitely won’t be returning and we’ll be telling everyone we know not to give you any business to save them the trouble.

Lovely food, a bit of a trendy place for oldies to go

The steak and ale pie was rammed with meat, great value for money, I think my husband wished he'd ordered it too as although he liked his fajita sizzler I think he was hoping for a bit more chicken.

Went for lunch today really disappointing my friend had halloumi salad which consisted of 4 pieces of cheese and leaves for 12 pounds l had stroganoff and the beef was charred and inedible be for 13.95 the last time we went the stroganoff was amazing the meat melted in the mouth will probably try somewhere else next time we did mention it to the waitress she said she would have a word with the chef but nothing came of that

There was 3 of us eating, only 2 meals arrived had to wait at least 10 mins for other meal to arrive. Food was nice once we'd all got our meals
