This was our second visit to Loulabelle's, the other being in 2023. Lots of delicious food plus friendly staff. We had lunch before visiting a nearby attraction, then nipped back for tea and a cake afterwards. Not cheap, but everything is delicious. The decorations include some great pictures.

Amazing food. We had the courgette and lemongrass soup which was divine. The brie, bacon and cranberry panini was lush. So gooey and tasty. Our little ones had pancakes which were also delicious. Obviously washed down with a cold irn bru! Fully recommend

What a fantastic little cafe, tucked away on the high street in Innerleithen. The staff are wonderful, very helpful and very friendly. There's a great range of food and drinks on offer, and the setting is really cosy - most welcome after a day's mountain biking. We visited twice and on both occasions chose the haggis, cheese and chilli jam panini - fantastic! There's comfortable seating (such as settee's and arm chairs), or traditional booths and tables. All in all, a great experience, and one I'd recommend.

We called in for tea and cake with our dogs after a walk today. Our dogs are both rescues and one is particularly nervous and this was their first trip to a cafe. The staff were really helpful and understanding of our needs. The tea and cake were lovely and our girls were very grateful for the gravy bones! I'm sure we'll be back!

Busy cafe and the food was ok. However we witnessed a rather unpleasant interaction of staff with a customer which was totally uncalled for. Two "older" ladies were meeting, one arrived before the other and had a coffee. When her friend arrived they moved to a table beside us and the coffee was spilled. The lady rushed to the kitchen, apologised and offered to clean the spillage. The reaction of the female member of staff was not what one would have wished, she was obviously annoyed and made no effort to be pleasant and make the ladies feel at ease. She made them move to another table despite them asking to remain where they were as the table was more comfortable for them. No-one in the cafe was left unaware and we were told to be careful of the wet floor. My little girl even said - ladies very sad Mummy. This was our first and last visit.

Had to queue to get a menu as there were none on the tables. No one came to take an order, so queued again. Ordered two soups and a glass of water. The water and cutlery arrived 10 minutes later. After another 30 minutes the soups finally arrived! Unfortunately they were inedable as they were barley luke warm. We queued again to complain - only to be met with a less than adequate apology and an reluctant offer to heat them up, which we declined. We had wasted enough time already. The cafe was not particularly busy, service overall was very slow and amateurish. We left without partaking of the soups.

After a 3 1/2 hour drive, totalling almost 200 miles, this was a most welcome stop. The awning above says it is also known as ‘The Whistle Stop Cafe’, although this is from a previous incarnation, and no, they don’t serve fried green tomatoes, or barbecue! (Film buffs will know what I’m talking about.) Louloubelle’s is owner-led and managed, and they do a really good job. We had the Meaty Brunch, consisting of bacon, sausage, fried egg, Louloubelle’s Spicy Beans, and haggis, served on homemade flat bread. Very tasty, and so filling that we had to bring home the tasty cakes we took a fancy to. All the cakes and pastries are freshly baked daily, and the pastry is the lightest and tastiest ever. Thank you Louloubelle’s. When we are next up your way, you will get another visit - and this time my husband will remember to have cash on him for the tip!!

Very kind staff and delicious food dogs. The above was written by my ten year old and I have to agree with her. Lovely dog-friendly cafe with friendly staff, good paninis and a fine collection of cakes / sweet treats.

Squeezed ourselves in on a busy lunchtime to warm up after a chilly morning cycling. Great coffee and tea and a lovely veggie brunch with sausages, home-made haggis, flatbread, mushrooms, tomatoes and spicy beans. Took a while to come but it was busy. Lots of cakes with good options for those eating gluten free or plant based. A favourite stop now in Innerleithen. Best bit? I was able to warm my feet on the radiator while waiting for brunch!

Dropped in here for some lunch while in town for a football match. Nice vibe with a mix of locals and bikers/cyclists with the occasional dog thrown in the mix. We had the Green Wing Bagel with a side salad very plentiful and utterly delicious, Also the green pea and mint soup with flatbread, again simply delicious. On spying the Mint cheesecake, we succumbed to its charms and washed it down with 2 of the creamiest Cappuccinos we have ever had, divine! Lovely, attentive staff as well and well priced. Will definitely return if in the area again.

The joy of being able to get out again if that you can rediscover those places you've missed so much. Coming back here is wonderful - the food is fantastic I had a tasty haggis Panini followed by cake all accompanied by streaming hot tea and my partner had a bacon roll followed by carrot cake (and tea). We left with warm and full bellies having been made to feel very welcome. Highly recommended

Nice cake and coffee, but bit of a disappointment after reading online recommendations- limited selection other than scones and cake, and the staff not very friendly compared to other individual cafes: thought this would be something a bit more unique and special : nice bookshop and store

Very disappointed, arrived for lunch bringing my brother and wife as they are on holiday, had to wait 10 minutes to be seated although there was an empty table where we were standing, we were given menu's then totally ignored for the next quarter of an hour, a young waitress saw us and I asked could we place an order (we were going to have a 3 course lunch) she said yes and then went over and chatted with another waiter, after a further 5 minutes we decided to leave and go into kelso, we went to a place in kelso and were treated correctly and served immediately.

I'm afraid I won't be back. Went to use the facilities and I went into toilets and heard giggling didn't hang around but imagine my dismay when 2 of your cleaners came out of said toilets doing up trousers and straightening themselves up!. Absoloutley disgusting. I've the names of both. To say I'm appalled is an understatement. I came in to shop not witness sex acts. In uniform at the workplace! I'll be informing my friends and family. If this is how you allow your staff to behave! Disgusting if my daughter had been with me and saw that I'd have rang the polis straight away!

Here is a traditional pub on Peebles High Street. Inside there a few nooks and crannies and a separate area called the library. There a number of options for sitting - either on stools, comfy chairs or sofas. The upholstery is a bit jaded/frayed on a few chairs/stools. There are a fair number of TV screens for sports fans. On our visit they were all showing past games and were on mute and music was being played. There is a good selection of draught beers and a menu offering a range of eating options. We had lunch (Hunters' Chicken and Scampi) and found both were good, standard pub grub and well priced. Service was good and friendly though it felt like I waited longer for my dessert than my main!
